J. H.A really nice area to park for a walk in the park. Not a large carpark but it is possible to find a space. There are some tables and benches if you want to have a picnic. The best aspect is that it is free.
R. R.A little bit small for a popular walking place but there is plenty of space to park off road on the lead up to the car park.
W. H.Great park for an amble walk which can be quite hilly in places & quite dense with trees but there are loads of paths to stick to just keep your bearings in check so you don't get lost lol.
Nice shoreline to walk along to that looks across to the Orwell Bridge as shown in my photo. Car park can get busy at peak times but its worth a look if you fancy a walk out & never been, dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
M. K.Beautiful walk whatever the weather, I love taking my grandchildren here and have long walks with my Dog.
N. B.A beautiful place to visit, car park with 40 or so spaces, then a woodland walk leading to a river walk with a beach. Muddy on winter days so wrap up, but amazing views. Also resident Peregrine can sometimes be seen in summer months under the bridge. Lovely place to picnic and for family walks, also very popular amongst dog walkers.
g. m.An unexpected delight... park up for free... walk straight into a beautiful woodland with a large variety of trees and twisting paths...then find yourself at the river with good wildlife a small pebbly beach and amazing views of the awesome Orwell Bridge! Highly recommend!
E. L.Orwell country park is a large park running along side the river, it has a variety of areas and landscapes. We went to Bridge wood which has a lovely woodland to walk around and the river shoreline to walk along.
K. l. B.Just on the edge of town, not far to drive for a lovely walk. Take your wellies as some places very muddy. Perfect whatever the weather, take a picnic as benches provided. Always a pleasure to walk along the shore of the river Orwell.

Multiple routes through the park/woods that you can take but we always head down to the shoreline as the views are amazing. Can get a little busy during the summer but that is to be expected.
Lots of parking at the top of the park and it's free.
Definitely worth a visit!

e.Good location. Close proximity to park entrance. I would recommend using this car park over the car park across the bridge like we did. It was a bit flooded so our shoes would've got wet if we walked in the puddle, so therefore, 4 stars. My 17th favourite car park in the Suffolk area.

R. H.A very nice walking area, lots of interesting views for photography, however the paths are a bit difficult if your not great on your feet
L. H.The car park is free to use. The country park is free to visit. You can wonder through the park in a number of directions and not come across anyone for awhile. It also takes you down to the shore where you can walk along the beach. Make sure to check when the tides are coming in and out. The only problem with the car park at weekends there can not be enough spaces which means people park anywhere. This can make it difficult to get your car out.
N. C.A lovely walk. Such a shame most dog walkers not keeping their dogs on a lead as it makes it difficult to walk my own dogs who are always kept on a lead.
