Reviews of Beckett Park
Come running here sometimes, but thought we'd come and relax here with a coffee for once. Its not a normal park with lots of flowers, we'll it isn't in March. But there are huge open spaces for football or other sports if you want. It is a student area, so you see lots of them running, having a bbq or just relaxing. There are families here too and there is a children's play area and skate park, might bring my skateboard next time lol
There's lots of benches and bins, the park is really good for walking your dog, jogging, cycling or rollerblading as there are loads of tracks here. The woodland tracks might not be suitable for rollerblading tho 😉
The park is really clean, no dog poo, drug paraphernalia or other undesirable rubbish you find in parks in other areas, so might bring the kids one day. The woodland in between the park and the University campus is really cool and worth visiting, if you do visit the woodland, look out for the Arch, it is a little hidden though. Sometimes it can be a bit muddy near the edge when walking towards the woodland, but usually it's dry and okay. The location is quite good too, not too far from the centre and there is lots of free parking around the park. There are some really cool food and coffee places around the area too. Well worth visiting for a run or to relax
Lovely big park. Open spaces and trees. Bins throughout that appear to be emptied regularly. Paved and painted paths for walking and cycling.
large park with plenty of space and paths to explore. Would make for a great place to ride out an earthquake when compared to many other public spaces in Leeds city limits.
Lovely park near home. Always nice to have a walk there. Plenty of grass fields, also tennis courts accessible to anyone.
Nice park not the biggest in Leeds but has a small children's play area, two tennis courts, a skate park and some general exercise machines. Generally lots of dog walkers. Some times half of the park is taken up for parking for large events at the headingley stadium (park and walk).
A great way to spend a day.
Went with my son, brother and nephew for a day playing in the wood and at the park.
The woods are a lot of fun for youngsters with lots of paths and sticks for collecting and making dens.
The play are is very clean with plenty to keep a couple of young children entertained.
Would go again
I love the place. Feels like I am blessed to watch a place like that. Always rejuvenating ❤️
Very nice kids play ground with functional equipments. If you are parent living around the Headingley Beckett then go for it
Lovely space with plenty of room for everyone, and activities for the whole family. Explore the woods, enjoy the playground, tennis courts and skate park, or make use of the rather bumpy open field!
Nice park lots of space for a park in an metropolitan area. Some woodland.
Very very very very quiet. But this time there was 20 plus dog walkers.
A nice place to enjoy the grass, see some dogs and there are also tennis courts or a skate park section for variety.
There’s a level (but hilly) pathway throughout for anyone with additional needs.
Super smashing marvellous great. A well kept up to Park 2.5 miles from Leeds City Centre
This park has a good space with a skate board park and a children's play area and a rather spartan exercise area with a few machines. It has some mature trees but not that many. It is pretty bereft of any wildlife albeit the woods you can walk through to it have a bit of bird life. The park lacks a cafe with good coffee and ideally some healthy snacks and if someone put some bird boxes up who knows nature may come back to the park. .
Wide open green space, great for a walk or run
Skatepark is dated and the playground rather small but still a nice place to go for a walk with lots of woodland leading to the Spen lane side.
Nice open space great for walking dogs also play area for youngsters and skate park for the more adventurous plus tennis courts.
Good for skating and kids as well as park is best for pet animals and senior citizens
Lovely small quiet park playground for small children dog walkers sunbathers just ideal for a quiet day or a get together.
Great park and woods, free snacks for cheeky dogs when the students bbq in the summer and lovely bright sunsets in the autumn.
Decent little playground and skate park, could do with a little more TLC perhaps.
Beautiful park! The children's play area is spot on, there's plenty of apparatus for kids of all ages. The park itself is lovely to walk around. Would highly recommend.
A lovely park, well maintained. Adult free standing exercise items as well as skate park, tennis courts and childrens play area. Also free live music on some Sundays during the summer. Tomorrow 15th July being one such day. Some parking, I'd say it's better to walk there when feasible.
Lovely park. Nice walk around. Lots of ground for ball games and picnics. A playpark for the kids. Well maintained paths for the dog walkers. Picnic benches and outdoor gym equipment.
Used it for Headingley parking park and stride. Very well run and convenient. £10 for the day which is par for this kind of event parking.
The park is Always looked after and people you meet there are friendly. It's peaceful and always full of colour.
Calm. Large. Birds. Play area. Bit moist in places.
Fantastic place to relax in the sun or walk your dogs. Would avoid at night.
Nice quiet park where you can relax and often see planes flying over
Trees were all right but too muddy (cracked up my new timberlands) also someone should do something about the crows!! One of em was eating a mars bar... how?!
Lots of great open space and woods to explore and for kids to play. Decent playground.
My favourite park in Leeds it's so good for adults and children in the same time and it's the best park for walking.
Great place have enjoyed it it has been my placd to go with all the covid lockdown
Beautiful, clean park with plenty of shade. The ground has a slight slope though, so one's back gets a bit sore from sitting with the back toward the slope.
Good playground for kids. Nice park generally.
Beckett Park is a park where anyone can go and sit in the Summer.....have picnics...walk the dogs.....go for a walk. It is clise to Carnegie College now Beckett College/University. Well kept....lots of trees and seating area.....well used by locals and Students.....has Tennis Court.

Lots of space and a decent park. Quite exposed though so wrap up warm if it's chilly.
It's nice, quiet, relaxing and fun !
Lovely park with childrens playground and lots off dog walking woods
Could do with improvement. The playground has seen better days, the tennis courts are run down
Was a nice evening walk, plenty to sit and rest. playground for the children .
