A really large park with two ponds and a nature reserve. You can do a number of loops around the park, each one will be a minimum of 1 mile each.
A lot of effort has been put in by the council in maintaining and improving the pathways. Its a really peaceful place to go for a walk. I would also say it suitable for people in wheelchairs and pushchair. You can see this in the range of people you see as you go around
Once you have finished your walk or run you can head to the cafe to get some refreshments or food. The cafe is very reasonably priced with tea at around £2 and coffee costing £3. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
There is a large picnic area if you want to have a family day out.
Also golden acre park is surrounded on each side by farmland so very little noise.

Free car park. Be sure to use the signed underpass to get to the park.
In need of repairs to the road surface and the speed bumps are a bit crazy.
To top it all, it has some of the craziest parked cars. Why not park not in one of the many many spaces when you can park across the entrance... 🤔

Good size car park with easy access to all parking spaces. Easy and safe access to Golden Acre park via the subway under the busy road between the park and the car park.
No parking charges.
During the week it's usually easy to find a space but can be very busy at weekends, especially in good weather.

I actually visited Adel Dam Nature Reserve. Great surroundings and hides. Extremely close to the birds.

Great place for a walk. A decent sized park. Two great nature reserves to wander round and lots of grass to run around on/ picnic etc. Carpark is free and usually has an ice-cream van there!

Love golden acre and Paul's pond. Take my dogs every day met a lot of nice people that we walk round with. Great for a family day out and the cafe isn't bad either

Golden Acre Park is a great place for a walk with or without dogs . Large car park

Car park not really adequate and was almost full even at noon on a midweek October day though it was mild and sunny. Once you set off for a stroll it's easy to see why though. Lovely views and decent paths make for some very pleasant walks there.

This is a great place to go for a walk. There is a wooded walk around Paul's pond and then there is a walk round the gardens lake .plus a great cafe

Did what it says on the sign. Cars are able to enter area of land that has been set aside for cars from all walks of life. It doesn't matter if your car has a petrol, diesel, steam or electric motor, all are welcome 🤗

We've brought our grandsons ( now aged 8 & 10 ) here many times and now we bring our granddaughter, always a lovely & interesting walk with the added bonus of a super cafe at the end ( if you walk anti clockwise)
Parking can be an issue at the weekend / busy times but certainly worth a visit.

Good place to go for a walk, there is open green grass land just after you walk round the lake area where all the wildlife are, dont feed them as this is not permitted. You can have picnics here, but not sure you can use barbecues you throw away. There is a cafe situated at the entrance of Golden Acre Park, and ice cream van in car park. Use the underpass if you have children the road is busy always.

Two car parks, just Google it.
But this one is fine, tarmac mostly now with speed bumps.

Beautiful park - i always think i've explored all of it then find a new bit every time.
P. S.
The eastern car park entrance is in desperate need of pothole filling, but, I do believe it might be imminent. Plenty of open spaces close by with plenty of walks starting off through the trees.

Great place to walk the dog or just a stroll through the grounds to walk of Sunday dinner. Lots of wildlife and you can feed the birds on the lake with which keeps the kids happy. Nice cafe to visit to enjoy after the walk

Lovely walk round the lake and through the woods. Unfortunately i heard the cafe was only doing takeaways due to being short staffed and there was a queue out in the hot sun. Be prepared is my advice.

It's a car park. As car parking goes it's ok but the ground is well worn and it's a bit small so can get very busy and crowded. But there is an ice-cream van in summer and there's also a tunnel into golden acre park so you don't have to risk the road

5 Stars given for Golden Acre Park itself: gardens, lake with wildfowl, walks, grassed areas, woodland, greenhouse, cafe, toilets etc.
Car park itself did have one or two potholes but that should not detract from the rating I have given.
K. B.
Lovely park, good little cafe and the ice cream van was a bonus
R. B.
Lovely to walk around, plenty of park benches to sit and enjoy the sun.
K. F.
Excellent area for walking. The cafe is a bit of a faff. Should offer takeaway.
