I loved my day out at Nelson Mandela Park! There was a large grass area and a good few swings and playground area for kids (even teenagers can use this area). There there was an outdoor gym for adults as well! People there were calm and polite, I had no issues with my niece and nephew who kept me busy as they had fun and laughed. As it was a warm day, it was a bit busy and it seemed tricky to observe covid rules, barely anyone had masks on but as you can imagine..we all went out for some fresh air so that's the only thing that was of concern. There wasn't much observation of covid rules especially when close-ish to each other.

Calm and Scenrene! A free Good location for fun outdoor activities. Its a few meters away from the Leicester tigers stadium. If you are basketball buff, a free court is around the corner. Plus it's got a free convenience for ladies and gents!

A quiet little park in a key location, in-between two Universities (Uni. Leicester and De Montfort University). It is opposite the road from the Leicester Tigers Rugby stadium and not far from Leicester City Football club home ground, The King Power Stadium. A great location within Leicester city centre.

Very nice and calm. There's always cars driving around it and there's some ongoing construction at the moment but it's still a good option for a picnic on a sunny day. There's some exercise machines as well.

Amazing place for an early morning walk with a smoke, watching the sun rise sitting on the benches seeing the morning dew on the grass, or going to use the basketball hoops for some laughs Would highly recommend going to this park if you live in leicester. Or want a nice morning walk.

Love this park.. it’s on the way to the kids school so they stop to play with other kids everyday on their way home.But is BBQ allowed in the park? .. it’ll be super fun to have one there.

A nice big park which plenty of areas to sit on the grass. It includes a decent outdoor gym area which lots of equipment to use for a fee and also has a free play area for smaller children to use in one section. Also in the park is a sports area which includes several basketball and football courts. This park also has toilets including disabled facilities.

Very nice park. Usually quite quiet, but very clean and calming. You get a few drunks around, but they usually keep to themselves. Don't recommend going through at night, it's not very well lit.

It's a nice place where children can play and relax.ive always liked this park since I was a child play on the old round about before it got taken out and playing on the swings and just remembering all the fun memorys as it being whilst grow up when I was a kid. now i take my children there about once a week to play. but the only one thing that is letting it down is all the drug users jacking up in the toilets and leaving tinfoil,lighter,used needles.it is up to people what they do with there lifes but really leaving all the used stuff lying around where my children or anyone else children could pick it up is not execptable they need someone in the office keeping a closer eye on this and sort this problem out before a children get court up in this I really hope not

I had the privilege to meet Nelson Mandela in 1995. It was at a function hosted at SAB World of Beer museum. He was being ushered in by his bodyguards but stopped by and greeted the young waiters/waitresses in a side room. I still remember the warmth he radiated when he entered the place.

Just a nice park with playing fields, children play equipment and adult fitness equipment and some basic toilet facilities. It is across the road from the Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester Tigers Rugby ground. The Leicester Tigers often use it for pre match events and entertainment, plus if you are lucky you may see them practising there some evenings, there is a single Rugby goalpost there, probably for this reason.

Its a nice park overall and it has good equipment and even an out door gym thats been recently made .however((( STAY SAFE ))) As there are commonly druggies and dangerous people wandering round the park ,usually during the dark so i suggest visiting (before dark!!!)

the event I attended here was the Nelson Mandela birthday party it was fantastic day out lots going on and lots to do the park itself is just a normal Park if there's not much going on then it's great for a walk or just take your dogs however that's about as much as I can save help this is Douglas month if there's an event going on fantastic easy to get to however do be aware the parking is not fantastic in the area apart from the really expensive parking at the Stadium across the way so if you are visiting I would suggest using the park and ride or just getting the bus

Nice little green area just outside of the city, great for a walk or just to clear your head-throw caution in the evening as with every park in the dark but other than that it's a nice area-the swings are fun and they have a basketball court and rugby posts-certain times of the year the Leicester Tigers play on this park for Tigers in the park as well ( the ground is over the road)
