Reviews of Boultham Park
A. C.
I am very lucky living very close to this great park in the beautiful city of Lincoln. Everyone connected to working, looking after this park should be given great credit at how it looks it is first class. Lovely place to walk play and as I do get exercise as it is the home of Lincoln’s park run . With over 300 people every Saturday using the park for exercise it is a brilliant use of this great park thanks to everyone connected for this every week
U. R.
Nice park, clean, good walking path, lovely lake, nice place for dogs, walking, for kids and lovely wooded area, open park,I thinks there's a coffee shop as well.A gem,so close to home. Not sure if you are allowed to cycle there, play areas for kids.worth a visit.
C. S.
Beautiful park with plenty of places for kids to run around with a lovely play park. Lots of squirrels about whixh was lovely to see
J. M.
Well kept park with lots of green space and a lake to walk around. Parking isn’t too difficult, there’s an area to charge an electric car but bring your own cable. Playground is ok but could use more to do
c.
Nice park, could do with some climby stuff just dotted about but nice for a walk and the lake is beautiful

Boultham park is large with a small area of woodland, cycle paths, streams and bridges on its outskirts close to the main carpark next to the grave yard. The walk around the lake is calming with ducks and swans. The playing field is large and the maintained gardens near the old Manor site are beautiful, the cafe near this is very reasonably priced, even sell squirel food, and icecream for dogs. Very vegan friendly. Some hot items availble like a Lincolnshire sausage bap, picnic menu. Seats indoors or outdoors. Disability friendly. Cafe toilet nextdoor, other public toilets near the library and coop site entrance way. Play area/ Park for children is enclosed, it is just ok, not toddler friendly particularly, if they took inspiration from whisby natural world centre it would be very popular indeed. No slide, climbing areas are more ornamental, not much to offer young children. The nearby tree next to the park is loved by children for climbing. Good paths for balance bikes and scooters. Dog walkers mostly pick up after themselves. Park well maintained overall and worth multiple visits, for a regular jog, coffee or meeting place.

Great established park with a small lake and ducks to wander around with enough parking. Accessible in every direction. Part woodland and a zip wire and things for young children to play on. Football pitch too. Dog friendly and kept very tidy. A lot of the parking spaces were shaded by trees that is very handy in the summer heat. Also plenty of bins.
M. C.
A great place for all the family. It has two play areas lots of climbing areas a lake which is very pretty. We spent a couple of hours there, it had somewhere to eat but it was closed as we arrived late.
Would visit again and would recommend.

It was painful to see so many mature trees being cut down, and hard to understand how this was going benefit wildlife (which was a stated aim of the redevelopment). But I'm a convert. The water looks so much clearer and healthier - I can totally buy into the idea that this is going to support a greater diversity of wildlife now. I love the new art work and benches too. It'll be interesting to see how it matures, and what it looks when it's a boating lake. Could be loads of fun! Have to add some praise for the play area and the café too - nothing fancy, but the prices are very reasonable and the customer service is great.
M. H.
Cafe expensive, Cake lovely but could have bought a whole cake for the price. Park nice.
M. K.
Wild life seems friendly, nice place to walk round, cafe not too bad.
Pond/lake could do with dredging, even saw a Swan trying to do it, lots of rubbish from people visiting in the water, plus other debris in the water. Safe play area for the young ones, fully enclosed. Good place if the weather is fine to have a picnic.
s.
Nice place for a walk. Done decent renovation, but for some reason, left lake full of trees.
J. W.
Lovely fair and fete yesterday and today . Made a change from usual very quiet park
d. m.
Smashing few hrs at boutham Park today well worth a visit for all the family..
C. C.
Lots of paths and woodland to walk around. Large grass area for ball games. Small playground but a decent amount for children to play on. Great for what we wanted and we enjoyed a picnic and a lovely afternoon out. Will definitely come again and try out the cafe another time. Plenty of parking.

Lovely park, quite quiet, has a lake and forested area as well as a grassy park with a bandstand. Not too far from lincoln city centre, so it's a nice walk and never too busy there. There's alot of wildlife (lots of squirrels ☺️) in the trees and lake, lots of dog walkers as well. Benches and child's playground is also available.
J. F.
Boutham Park is really lovely and the work ghats been done there has been totally worth. I would have given it 5 stars if they had Tiolets open.
D. G.
Very nice park with a big lake and nice walks. Playgrounds for kids were good. Also a nice cafe serving drinks and ices. Well worth a visit.
A. N.
Best park in Lincoln I know about. Lots of space for ball games, bicycles, runners, dogs and random wanderers. A really big lake in the middle full of ducks. Just check the pictures and you won't be disappointed if you choose to go there.
S. H.
Nice walk for families and pets, ended up having lemon cake and hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, what better way to end the day.
K. H.
Lovely staff and well priced in a beautiful park 😍
T. C.
A beautiful local retreat for the whole family including a playground on one end and a ball game pitch on the other. Since the body of water in the centre, which was named "The Lake", was refurbished last year, there are plenty of big benches with tables and some platforms at the shore. Ideal to watch many different birds like ducks, geese, speckled hens and sometimes even a cormorant.
A. R.
Well organised summer fete. Plenty of stalls to look at and food to be had if needed. Even without the fete it is a pleasant place to stroll around and even take a picnic. There is a cafe in the park. X
D.
Lovely place to go for a walk and wheelchair/pushchair friendly. Little gem.
R. L.
Nice place, shows great potential as I understand the council are looking at redevelopment
J. H.
A beautiful park on the site of a Victorian hall. Also, the park has a lovely cafe serving cake and hot drinks.
R. S.
Boultham park is a lovely park to walk round. It has a lovely lake a nice cafe and a small woodland. It boasts an original 85 year old bandstand that was renovated in 2019. The lake area itself had been renovated and looks lovely. It now has pumps in it to aerate it and the area around it is great for wildlife.
J. M.
Nice park with benchs to have a picnic small play area nice walk round was visiting from Rotherham with the grandchildren .
R. P.
A haven for lovers of green open spaces in an urban environment. Huge open park area for walking, picnics and playing along with a large lake.

It's been a few years since I was last here. What a difference. Lovely place to have a little walk. Small play area for the kids. Fantastic cafe with plenty of choice including healthy choices if you're trying to be good. Well worth a visit. Only down side is having to park on the road.
D. P.
Nice lake and woodland to walk around nice flower gardens throughout.some children's play facilities and large grassed area for ball games, also basketball n bowls courts.
A. M.
Such a lovely place to walk your dog, people are also friendly even just saying hello to you. Lots to see, huge lake with birds, few squirrels in wooded area, lovely playground for children and plenty of seating just in case you need a rest or just want to admire the view.
R. S.
Nice park, good place to chill 👍👌
j. a.
Recently had a lot of money spent to do it up and it has paid off as it is a great place to have a walk and they also have a cafe
A. T.
A lovely little park with a lake and bandstand, pretty walks through the trees. A very nice Heritage Lottery cafe but cakes expensive £4 per slice.Just been named as the 3rd best park in Lincoln

Went 1st time when the boats were there.65years ago . Still as lovely now l'm 70 . Thankyou
D. G.
Great dog walking and views across the lake
J. B.
The Park has been vastly improved and renovated in recent years. I found it a truly beautiful outdoor space to walk around and enjoy. There is also an open children's park area for them to use the swings. You can still walk around the lake using a designated pathway. Very relaxing stroll.
P. N.
Lovely place to feed the ducks. A shame that the cafe was already closed by 4pm though.
D. M.
It's had a renovation, looks great, quite a bit of wildlife
G. W.
Great clean park, good facilities for kids and an old school band stand. Been coming for years
R. d. S.
Excellent place for an evening walk.
A. R.
Beautiful park with lake, young childrens play area and public toilets. I can recommend the Mini Explorers sessions which take place once a month. The Gruffallo Hunt and craft session led by Jo was excellent.
D. T.
Lovely park made even better by seeing these 2 Cormorants!
D. C.
Nice compact park, great for walking the dog and the bin system is excellent. I wish it was a bit bigger for a longer walk, ie facilities extend along the river. The Cafe sells hot and cold snacks. It also does the usual fresh coffees and tea.
P. F.
Nice park for the grandchildren and lovely lake to walk around, cafe for a bite to eat, friendly staff
K. O.
Beautiful place, only let down by the amount of off lead dogs
K. H.
Lovely walk.round the.park and footy with the kids
m. b.
Beautiful park nice play area Cafe on site
e. w.
A great place for dogs to walk abd nature and small children, not alot for teenagers, lovely cafe and lovely staff yables and chairs to sit on and small child play area, no dogs allowed in child play area..
C. B.
Great park. Spent a couple of hours there this afternoon with my 2 year old. He had a great time on the playground and feeding the ducks, but he particularly like looking for all the fallen acorns from the oak trees! Plenty of free parking, toilets just outside the cafe entrance (spotted on the way back from the other ones) and some just a but further on from the cafe round to the left. Lots of benches dotted around, we sat at one and ate our picnic.
C. B.
Lovely park and it's great to see that they are renovating different areas of it, but the public toilets have been closed for a few weeks with no sign of opening any time soon.
D. M.
A lovely place to walk your dog, recent changes have made this park better than ever
M. N.
Great place to take the kids on a Sunday afternoon, for the playground, football on the grass and fun on the zip line. Nice to see the wildfowl too. Easy free parking.
R. M.
This park is one of the best and a gem. It has obviously had money spent on it and that investment pays off (in most cases). The play area is good, the cafe is perfect and the access for locals is awesome. It feels safe as well thanks to some good CCTV around here and there. For those coming to visit outside the city, parking isn't the best but that's not a reason not to go. Compared to other parks perhaps not as much wildlife to see but lots of lovely short walks and there is diversity. Personally I love to walk along the riverbank and then the woods before coming to the more open spaces. The toilets could do with a refurb which is perhaps the only area that really needs that investment putting in now.
V. B.
Fantastic little gem of a place, kids loved it in Park, lovely walk in the woods climbing trees and sitting beside the lake watching the many ducks and feather hunting, the clean well kept church only adds to the character. Plenty of squirrels which can get close to. Beautiful can't wait to go back x very clean. Cafe a little overpriced but friendly staff.
J. N. R.
Excellent how the park is being restructured. It will look magnificent when completed. The lake has barriers all round it, but it can be seen that a lot of effort has gone into the upgrade.
Lovely Park, which will soon be much better
L. H.
This my quiet place will miss it very much when I leave I tell all my friends about it..
J. M.
Go for park run, it’s a nice park with a good walking/running route.
A. B.
Nice open space great for children
E. G.
Amazing! Never busy! Very dog friendly and cafe has 'doggie ice cream' with treats on top. Toilets open but at certain times only. Otherwise, just amazing!
J. B.
Lovely walk round and nice coffee stop
J. M.
A lovely park with plenty of space. There are two large fields and a lovely lake. There is a cafe which serves drinks and food, a band stand and a child’s play area. Great for dog walking, taking a stroll or just enjoying the wildlife.
N. L.
I have been going to the park for some years now, and I can honestly say its the best its ever been. The park has at its centre a large lake with an island at one end it is shouldered by two wide grassy areas on one of these areas. There is a zip line for children to enjoy or maybe a daring adult or two. The other has a wonderful band stand that has been refurbished. There is also a park for children to play in and a lovely little cafe the cafe is named "Linkage Boultham Park Cafe" the cafe has toilets for customers along with good food and well priced drinks. There are a number of path ways around the park one of witch leads you to a small church that is steeped in history.
Over all the park is a great place to enjoy with place for the little ones to play and dog walkers to enjoy. The cafe is a welcome addition that only adds to your time in the park.
I'm going to give 4 starts. What a wonderful park it is a great place and I enjoy my time here, however. There's nothing that really makes me go wow or really makes me go back. I think if the play areas had more or was larger id be able to spend more time here and maybe make a day out of it.
i. p.
Nice park. Shame the cafe is only doing take out, wish we'd known that before we'd planned out lunch there.
t. w.
Always a nice walk, disappointed on how little improvement on the lake. Viewing platforms, information signs and an improvement on the banks notable but no improvement on the rubbish in the water. A long way to go !!!!
C. F.
A smaller park compared to nearby Hartsholme Country Park, it was pleasant enough with a nice pond, wooded area, with plain open grassed area and a children's park.
Good paths and variety of scenery (as mentioned above) makes this ideal for those with kids, or parents with buggies, or those in wheelchairs. Parking looked very accessible, albeit we went in Dec, and complete with bandstand, this place seemed ideal for sunny, summer days in the park.
For dog walkers, there were plenty of bins and the wooded area great for dog off the lead, but unfortunately it's not a huge area. Very soon, you would need to put your dog on a lead to navigate round the pond populated with ducks and swans, to ensure other animals did not get disturbed.0
J. J.
Lovely size and well kept. Something for everyone.
Parkrun on Saturday mornings is very popular.
S. H.
I love this park but it really annoys me that there are no lights on the footpaths. come winter I have to walk my dog elsewhere due to dark mornings and evenings.
P. C.
Lovely city park. Plenty of paved footpaths through the woods and park to make up varied walks (plus the unpaved heathland next to river). Lake, cafe, sports etc as you'd expect but the little church next to the north car park makes for something different.
L. L.
Lovely gardens cafe looked nice very popular didn't stop but will go back
B. M.
A nice place for a gentle walk and a lovely play area for little ones. There is a lot of improvement work going on at the moment around the lake. Looking forward to using the new cafe
E. R.
Lovely play area, clean and inviting!
M. M.
Digby had a lovely time, beautiful park
P. G.
A newly restored boatIng lake, the whole park has had a degenerated, there is now much more to do in the park. Children play area, a cafe and a small visitors centre, there is going to by a small garden centre that will sell plants and a few other items in the seasonal section.
S. O.
This is a lovely park. Nice walking trails with pleasant scenery, good quality play park for the kids and plenty of space for the kids to run off their energy. Cafe on site meaning you can top up on energy when needed or simply opt to not be troubled with the packed lunch dilemma. The park is generally tidy but it needs some TLC and tidying on places.
V. L.
Recent works at this Park have improved it a lot
Lovely lake with large amount wildlife
Plenty of toilets and facilities for children
Nice cafe that is very popular and selling a variety of drinks and snacks
C. B.
Visited for boultham park gala. Park is much improved with open spaces and play area for little ones. Basketball ball net for older kids. Only let down was the limited catering facilities at the gala but covid may have had something to do with this.
D. N.
Nice walk around the bandstand and lake. Zip wire and play areas for the kiddies are Fab! Lovely cafe to stop off for a latte and ice cream. Lots of wildlife at the lake to watch. Great for a couple of hours out with the family.
S. D.
The work around the lake is now finished and looks great. Lots of new viewing areas and picnic areas with seating and tables. Nice.
A. T.
Great place for walking dogs with good paths that mean its suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Lots of open space as well as lovely wooded area and always lots of birds on the water. Play equipment was out of bounds when i visited but may well be sorted by now.
D. M.
I was served friendly nice place and staff are polite towards you.
D. B.
Alright for a quick walk round and good for the kids plenty of wild life
S. B.
I love the park, nice little local park to us. I wish there was more play equipment for the kids in the actual play area I.e. slide etc. The lake also need deep cleaning! But I love it anyway.
A. S.
Wonderful park ideal for families. Free car park close to toilets, cafe and children's play area. Lovely lake to walk around and lots of wildlife. Well signposted. Plenty of bins around. Well kept and clean. Cafe has proper coffee and lots to eat, and a disabled toilet for patrons.
There is a separate toilet block for others.
Well worth a visit and we will be back.
C. R.
A beautiful and peaceful Park where I enjoy walking most days.
I was pleased to see the Swans with their three cygnets looking quite healthy.
Lots of squirrels foraging around.
The lake is looking much cleaner after the heavy downfall of the last couple of days.
S. D.
Boultham Park is a beautiful oasis within the stunning City of Lincoln. It offers wide spaces, woodland and the opportunity to watch wild fowl on the lake. Bring able to see diverse species - not "just" ducks, but cormarant, swans, moorhens and more - in a city - is a blessing. Families, walkers and cyclists can all enjoy this space and relax in its beauty.
G. A. J.
Fantastic open spaces. This park has been my playground since the 50s. The boats, train's and flower beds have long disappeared along with the house but I still enjoy spending time here. Plenty of wildlife to watch and enjoy, there's even a new cafe there now.
M. C.
Really nice. Not amazing, but a very pleasant place for a walk.
Nice church and graveyard by the car park if you're into that sort of thing.
Had a possible paranormal experience in there the other night....
D. T.
I love this place. Great for walking the dog without getting filthy. A bit of interest going around the lake and fields, and a chance for a coffee and a freshly made bacon buttie. And a chance to look in the students greenhouse on Thursday and support that good cause.
K. L.
Looking really great as the park continues to improve. Still lots of work to go but to see the difference already is wonderful. Just been to a massive free Easter egg hunt run by Ignite Church (Moorland community centre, Sundays 10am) and managed to pop in to the cafe. Great to see it's open on Good Friday and staff were a little slow, 10 mins for a mocha, but really busy too. Will definitely be going back soon 😁
S. L.
Lovely park. A bit of uneven grounds so take care. But overall you very nice with a gorgeous lake in the middle of it. Well know for PARK-RUN that occurs EVERY SATURDAYS. About 200_400 people attend. Very lively and great atmosphere.
L. C.
Nice spacious park with lake although it is being renovated at the moment. Varied kids play area and a zip line on the far side of the lake.
M. k.
Great park. Loads of space
.only minus is that people are leaving loads of rubbish after their visit . Go there every day and need to be careful that my 2 year old won't pick up a plastic bottle or food left over found in the grass . People wake up !! Clean your mess , keep it clean.
S. C.
Love going here with the dogs. A few people not picking up after their dogs spoils it a bit. But other than that. It's a great place to go. Cant wait to see what the improvements will be like.
E. Y.
A fantastic park to stroll around, run, play or simply enjoy the beautiful nature and relax. I love this park as it has many lovely paths around the trees or the lake. Is a quiet place and from there one can continue walking by the river to Lincoln town.
B. E.
Fantastic park. Lovely areas to have a walk or play ball games in. Play park for children, probably up to the age of 13-14.
G. F.
Plenty of outside space. Peaceful
A. B.
Great place to take the doggy for a run around and cafe on site is a welcome reward on a cold day to warm up with a hot drink 😉
M. K.
Very nice place for a walk
D. T.
Fantastic walks and children's play areas and the lake itself has been revitalised just waiting for the boats to return for happy childhood memories.
G. C.
All different nucks and kranies to explore. Walks in the woods, playground for the children, coffee shop for refreshments, great pond that's active with wildlife. Even hidden greens to play a bit of ⚽ with the little ones 🤣
J.
Made a lot of great environmental improvements. Great park run too
c. k.
Lovely green area to the south of Lincoln. Play park for kiddies, Stokes cafe and plenty of tree cover when it's 37° like today. Great for family picnic or just walking around for a bit of exercise. There is a large lake with plenty of different birds, geese, swans, ducks and moorhens. Would deffo recommend to others.
A. S.
Lovely local park. Good for a short walk. Longer walks possible if you go down the river. Park itself only enjoyable for young children for half an hour.
G. B.
Could be a lot better considering a lot of money has been spent recently, where that money has gone it's hard to tell. For the life of me I cannot understand why trees were chopped down and now saplings have been planted where the beautiful old trees were removed, paths uneven and pot holes , very limited amount of bins and seating . Fountain just full of green water and not working, poor disabled access to cafe , and badly designed outdoor seating the with very wide benches and a very small space between the table and bench . Very difficult to sit if you have a disability or are lady wearing a skirt.
D. B.
Great place to go and walk round, especially with pets. Places for kids to play. Linkage cafe is very expensive. Service takes an eternity, and staff can be blunt and rude, the cafe is the only things that lets this place down, some of the staff in particular. Gardens and park are still nice though and well kept.
J. K.
It's my local park so go here regularly, just wish the play area was a little bigger and had a slide, it could do with refreshing. The park itself is lovely, there are different events on all the time such as park run, park fairs, music, Pokémon hunting get togethers etc.
M. C.
I Love this park, I've grown up enjoying it. But now I have kids, to have to keep telling them to "mind out for dog poo" is really disappointing - even though the park does have ample dog bins. Also the play park needs keeping better as it takes months for equipment to be fixed, which is a real shame. The Volunteers who keep the more natural side of the park kept however are fantastic. You see them working and they'll say hello, and they have really tidied up the park of litter with monthly litter picks to bring the community together. It's a real shame to not give this park 5 stars, maybe once the regeneration project is complete it will be 'restored' to it's former glory.
D. P.
Always a nice place to walk around and the volunteers do such a good job.
D. W.
A nice country park with a cafe and a easy walk around the lake. There is also a very pleasant River walk leading from it. Just don't take it at school home time!
G. T.
On a nice summers day the park is a good place to go to. You can play on the park swings or u can walk around the lake and you can even have a pick nick on the park itself. Also feed the ducks and the two swans that come every day.
s. G.
I love this park from childhood and have taken my children there the dog there . The new cafe is very nice a little over priced for what you get . But the service and quality of products is excellent. Be nice when the lake has being revamped.
J. B.
Really lovely park..
J.
Lovely park with a lovely cafe supporting linkage
S. B.

Very busy. Took my dog and she loved it. Swimming in the stream and meeting lots of other doggies. Took lots of photos of her enjoying herself.
X.
Beautiful park, really nice for walking the dogs. The water can be a bit stinky. Always very clean and well kept. Could do with a dog friendly cafe!
C.
Lovely place to stroll round and go for a cuppa
M. J.
Its a lovely park i just wish the childrens park was bigger and more for them to do.
M. R.
lovely park for a walk with our dog
D. W.
Good for the kids as it has two play areas and the wild life is good for both adults and children alike. It's a great space overall and I give it five stars
M. B.

Great park which has been very well refurbished. Good play area for the kids, space for lots of activities and a nice cafe on site.
P. M.
Lovely park, nice walk and good play equipment for the kids. A great place for those social distanced walks
K. S.
Lovely park with lots of space. Incredible lake with ducks and swans. Lots of open space for dogs and to have a picnic on a nice day. Its clean and has an open basketball court.
D. C.
Very pretty areas, sadly, the coffee shop are still not letting people sit inside. Had to stand outside in the showery rain 😥
H. 8.
I've lived in Lincoln my whole life yet Friday the 30th of September 2016 was the first time I had visited Boultham park in well over 20 years and I have to say it won't be my last visit!
It is such a lovely walk around the park, lots of wildlife to look at, benches to sit on and plenty of play equipment for the children; a very nice park!. Just a shame there was so much litter, especially in the pool!
C. S.
Love this Park. Its always neat and tidy and the lake always has plenty of ducks and birds to feed and watch and is a pleasure to walk round and not over taxing in length.
J. E. F.
I've always loved Boultham Park, lovely to walk or cycle round and look at all the different types of birds and now they have a cafe there it's good to have a drink when the legs get tired a little, plenty of roadside parking available.
A. a. E. B.
Love this place, really enjoy the park run event held every Saturday at 9am
W. C.
It's a beautiful medium sized park. A big pond/lake filled with swans, Canadian geese, coots, mallards, moorhens etc.
Idyllic for a wander.
D. F.
Going through restoration works at the moment. Will be great once its completed

Just arrived home after playing with Lincoln Beevor Brass Band at the Boultham Park Fair. The fair is massive! Tents and attractions all over the place and lots and lots of people. The band played in the recently renovated bandstand - and what a delightful experience it was.
Boultham Park really is a little gem and seems to be much appreciated by its local population. In the summer, there always seems to be people walking dogs, families kicking a ball about, youths hanging out and chatting. It feels like a safe place.
P. D.
Lovely local park with tennis, putting and bowls. The recent cafe is good but check the opening hours. The toilets at the park entrance need refurbishment.
R. D.
Renovation finished and now is amazing
S. J.
Usually a nice place to walk round but with all the alterations round the lake it's not pleasant. Hopefully big improvements when completed.
J. P.
Been restored recently, so part the park is lovely with a cafe. Shame about the other 70% wrecked by litter (including used nappies) , drunks, druggies and abusive teens taking over the playground, etc.
R. H.
Absolutely loved it. They are doing up the lakes as well. It will be an amazing place to go when everything opens up again
I. B.
Average size park with good network of paths, lake, cafe, tennis, bowls, pitch and put and public toilets they also have a parkrun on Saturdays. Owners of dogs should have to keep them on a lead.
J. W.
A lovely park .play area for the little ones .Lots if open space to play and exercise the dog .big pond with ducks and swans . A new tea room and lots of money being spent on refurbishment.spot on well done Lincoln council
W. O.
Very pleasant surroundings with a cafe and bandstand nearby. Clean lake with a variety of waterfowl. Easy paths to walk on. Parking available free.
W. C.
Have used Boultham Park for years with the dogs and it's good to see the lottery funded improvements. Though what's going on with the new cafe, no dogs policy. How to alienate an huge sway of park users of this community asset. Hartshome Park Cafe welcomes dogs as does many other cafes and pubs these days. Why the current policy of the boultham park laminated floor cafe. Until the policy is changed I suggest dog users boycott.
S. W.
Really nice place to walk round, there's a park for the kids, and a cafe for food and drinks
J. F.
Lovely park now they have spent some money on it.
P. B.
Great relaxing park
M. S.
A beautiful park to enjoy on a dry autumn day, lots of squirrels in the wooded areas, plus ducks and swans on the lake.
J. H.

S. H.
Beautiful park, lovely picnic benches by the lake and platform for feeding ducks
C. K.
So much has been done to improve Boultham Park since I last went years ago, great to be out for a safe socially distant walk in such pleasant surroundings 👍
P. E.
I often walk my dog around here & im loving the restoration works being carried to its former glory, the bandstand looks stunning & cant wait to see the cafe & visitor centre, lovely place & leading to so many different places.
J. T.
Worth keeping an eye on their website for events. However, sometimes they don't have anywhere near enough stalls and activities for the number of people who turn up. Today about 500 people turned up, with only 6 stalls present and no atm.
M. W.
Nice little walk
T. S. H.
A lovely quiet park, boasting a lake, open parkland, woodland, a small playground, good parking and now with decent cafe and toilet facilities - this park is lovely for families and dog walkers alike.
K. P.
Nice walk, park is good for the kids also they have some good events on here such as family fun days etc. Bad - water stinks & is full of rubbish. A lot of the park is vandalised or broken in some way.
D. J.

Here's a little story:
In the mid 80's (for my mum 1986 & 1987), people used to swim in the river. I believe in 1986 my mum (when she was little) saw people swimming in the river.
Here's another little story:
When my mum's grandma (?) was little, there used to be a place called Boultham Baths. What it was was like a fountain where people can go in. Sadly, it closed down in 1980.
My mum told all of this to me.
G. F.
