Reviews of Stanley Park & Garden
p. c.
Beautiful park well maintained, the children's play area was lovely plenty of seats and clean, full of happy children, a lovely couple of hours and need to go back to see some more
A. B.
A really pleasant walk between two great football communities. The open space is a great area to relax away from the noise and crowds around each stadium.
D. R.
Never visited this park before. It is beautifully laid out. Lovely for a walk and there is a cafe too.
D. M.
This place has been a local haven for me during lockdown and a bereavement. It’s only 10 minutes walk from my front door, so very handy.
It’s a great place for a walk at any time of the year. Personally, I like it in the Autumn & Winter.
It has a lake which is frequented by numerous wild birds including; Mute Swans, Mandarin Ducks, Canadian Geese and occasionally a Heron. Fishing is allowed and most of the time the park stays open until late at night in the spring and summer and shuts earlier in the autumn and winter.
There is a children’s play area and a coffee shop on site. Definitely one to visit at any time of the year.
J. L.
Stanley Park is one of my favourite venues to visit, relax and meet up with friends. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for park. There is also a café in the park which I visited with friends. However service this afternoon was very poor due to café being understaffed in my opinion.🌟🌟 for café
R. T.
Lovely open space on a lovely sunny day, the park is well maintained with some interesting historic buildings, views of both Anfield and Goodison stadiums
M. W. O.
What feels like the a key place in Liverpool. Stanley Park, separating Liverpool and Everton Football Clubs gives a breath of fresh air for everyone who go through. The Park has a friendly atmosphere with whoever you past and is great place for a day out in the sun if that takes your fancy.
N. L.
Lovely park with nice feature gardens and beautiful lakes.
J. W.
Lovely park, lots of routes to walk and places to sit and enjoy nature.
S.
Beautiful with a little pond in the middle, spaces for football and barbecue.
R. M.
The paths around the park and the green spaces are great to walk around, generally very well kept. However, the litter and rubbish in the lake is unacceptable. We also spotted a few rats on our walk round, so pest control is definitely an issue.
D. D.
It's such a lovely park, loads of green space, beautiful trees, some nice gardens, gorgeous brigdes and bandstand type structures. Then came the lake, omg, the rubbish was terrible, everywhere you looked were discarded can, bottles, carrier bags, you name it we saw it. People leaving rubbish on benches, when there are plenty of bins. Even the rats 🐀 came out to eat. I know you get them in parks but if people didn't leave rubbish lying around, they may stay in the undergrowth til it was dark, we seen at least 2 in broad day light, not a bit scared.
J. A.
This is an awesome park with more than enough friendly faces, I take my Frenchie Spud here quite often. There are a lot of other dogs to socialise with so it's great for him. We especially love going through the botanical gardens and seeing all the different flowers and plants. It also has a great view of both football stadiums too. But most of all we love spotting the different fish.
A. C. L.
Enormous park. Good maintenance for the grass and flowers area. It’s a fantastic park for you to playing football freely. The lake not much special. Pathway is good for running. Free Parking on non-match day.
t. m.
Great to walk around with the family or dog or even both. Kids can play in the playground and you can pop into the restaurant for either a snack or a meal. Food is spot on .
V. V.
Most beautiful park in Liverpool.. Well maintained..
B. W. c.
What a fantastic setting for a Wedding. #islagladstone #stanleypark #weddingcarsliverpool #barringtonswesdingcars
V. F.
Such a beautiful park. Plenty to see and do. Lovely gardens, a playground and our amazing football teams adorn either side of it.
C.
Lovely place to spending time with your friends and family for a great timeframe!
p. w.
Lovely park lovely gardens and a lovely couple left this lil teddy bear 🧸 how cute and thoughtful, we be dropping her off at a unknown destination,
J. F.
This park is always beautiful in any season, my favourite local, nearest park in Liverpool, UK. You can find nearby to Everton Stadium. Great to have a nap, picnic there during summer, or just to have a nice walk or play football on the field, or brilliant just to have there a jogging, running or yoga session for example.;) :)
w. f.
Fantastic park, Jack the head groundsman is extremely knowledgeable and approachable, best I e seen the park looking in years.
T. I.
Is nice, i came here everyday with my baby. The only problem is with the bikers which are thinking they are on a speed track not in a park. Besides that is an nice place
m. h.
Beautiful well kept public space which brings back many childhood memories, great place to visit for a few hours and the restoration of the glass house is amazing definitely a place to hang out with adults and children 👍👍👍👍👍
J. H.
Lovely place, my son enjoyed the pretty big playground and feeding the ducks.
R. B.
Nice park, nice looking function area. A colleague had their wedding there recently and it was an amazing do.
B. R.
Good walk ,pity some dog owners don't clean up dog mess . Kids playing
M. P.
Someone got stabbed here a few weeks ago, 95% of the benches ate unsitable and there is always some bloke on a moped or tiny motor bike driving on the paths. Overall exciting experience
M. F.
Absolutely beautiful venue. Lovely young waiting on staff. Polite, helpful and curtious. Nothing was a trouble to them. Well done team xx
P. K.
Stunning on one hand and depressing on the other. Vandalised historic bridges left in a sorry state. The council should act immediately to prevent a wholesale worsening but local councillors obviously do not care. It wouldn't happen anywhere else. Depressing.
C. A. C. N. W.
Lovely wedding venue, always a pleasure delivering our Wedding cakes here. Staff are attentive and the ground are well kept.
J. F.
Ideal for a yoga session, football, park run, or just for a nice walk for example. After Sefton Park this is the best park in Liverpool. Walton, Everton, Newsham & Colderstone parks r great too for example in Liverpool but my 2 favourite one are Stanley & Sefton parks.
B.
Used to love this park back in the day. Fraud its gone to the dogs. Even though they spent a good few quid on it
A. T.
Handy for both Everton & Liverpool football clubs. No parking signs, but lots of helpful stewards at entrance. Cost £10. Supporters coaches park along Priory Road which takes you in the direction of the ground.
Leaving car park was not too bad but surrounding roads expect some delays due to amount of cars.
Pleasant walk back to car in Stanley Park.
P. M.
A wonderful stroll in a beautiful garden atmosphere. Well kept and so many interesting things to see.
A. 0.
This is just one of the many fine Parks in Liverpool. Part has been destroyed to create a car parking area the tolls to be used for the benefit of local citizens. An enquiry is now in progress into possible disappearance of the Toll money
The rest of the Park has been sadly neglected but may soon be attended too.
A lot of funds was raised by many of us running for the Hillsborough Fighting Fund. Rafa the ex LFC manager signed many hundreds of TShirts whilst supporting this fund raising day at Stanley Park
P. D.
We use this for our monday morning sakes meeting.Food and drink is brilliant including the staff especially Megan
B. G.
Beautiful Park. I recommend for walks with family and friends 😊😊
C. L.
This is a beautiful park. It has a lovely lake with ducks, swans and other wildlife, as well as woodland and playing fields. Really pleasant and peaceful place to spend an afternoon.
Plus, if you play Pokemon Go, there are plenty of Pokestops and gyms here too!
S. F.
Beautifully kept public park, keeping true to its history and original design.
p. s.
I love this place recently went to my 2nd wedding reception here. The food was superb, the service was great, lovely staff who work very hard. It's a gorgeous setting, don't forget your sunglasses though! 😎
J. W.
Beautiful park with a football stadium either end of it. Well maintained. Car park with plenty of parking available.
C. T.
A wonderful park with many interesting areas.
H. E.
Lovely little park, nice kids play area!
T. H.
Beautiful gardens and pretty flowers
W.
A very beautiful and calming park also good view of Liverpool stadium
L. Q.
Nice place for a dog wark
S. R.
This park it’s always clean and looks amazing all year around.
A. B.
Enjoyed the venue greatly but the car park and pathways needed to be gritted. The walk from the car to the venue was treacherous
F. N.
Very nice! Not full of people! Was nice and quite! 🏟️🏞️🕊️
I. G.
Absolutely love it! It's free but very entertaining. The kids are a big fan
d. e.
Great open space, one of many in this city, these pic were taken at anfield cemetery, the girl. Is liverpool singer /songwriter Aliza Hall., she is playing at Cafe No 9 on cherry avenue through Dec,
Φ. Ν.
Stanley Park is a 110 acres (45 ha) park in Liverpool. I love this park and i enjoy walking throu the lakes and the little wooden bridge. Riding a bike is another fantastic way to discover its sceenery. Whatever you select eihgthetr walking, riding, running the true is that you will have fun and relax there. Just go around and enjoy with your dog or your friend!!!
a. w.
Beautiful venue for a wedding this week, food was outstanding and staff we're so polite
S. F.
Beautiful place where to go and relax.
In the middle of the greatest Liverpool football arenas - Anfield stadium and Goodison!
P. L. (.
Always clean tidy and well kept, and totally dog friendly 🐾
M. H.
Gorgeous for a picnic before the Eagles last night. A great evening - even the rendition at the end of You'll Never Walk Alone - difficult for a Manc to swallow!
M. D.
Beautiful Park where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
J. N.
Well kept wildlife all over 😍
S.
Went to the café took them too long to come to me to take an order standing at the counter for 20 minutes So I changed my mind so I didn't eat
B. T.
Excellent park with a kids play area pond everything
L. P.
Lovely walk, through the flowers, dahlia walk. Enjoyed it thank you.
D. W. S.
Great ambient, felt like I cleaned my lungs.
L.
Lots of space to kick a ball or have the kids run around. Good playground too.
D. F.
As with all the parks in the North Liverpool, they are neglected and under funded. It is a pity as this park has some beautiful features.
R. P.
Great place, should have more events here car parking in abundance
H. S. J. (.
The cafe... what a hidden treasure. If you haven't tried the cafe I strongly recommend it to everyone. Free carpark next to the cafe. Was very impressed with the views. The park hosted a stage of the liverpool marathon and around 9k runners passed through this beautiful park.
K. S.
We attended a party in the - for want of a better term - greenhouse or more correctly, the Isla Gladstone Conservatory! The building is a stunning venue, the facilities are excellent and the whole organisation / administration was truly wonderful. The Park is lovely, well tended and pleasantly laid out. I would recommend both the recreational possibilities of the Park and the venue too. Excellent!
A. C.
Beautiful well kept area 👏 and was respected by all
N. S.
Wonderful park, its really stunning.
M. H.
Nice walk through the park on the way to anfield
J. T.
its a beautiful park , with children playground and also a lake
R. W.
Nice cafe underneath , friendly staff and a great bacon and egg butty
C. K.
It’s the park that separates the stadiums of the two clubs of Merseyside,Liverpool and Everton.Nice Park to visit and there is a lake as well making it look even better!!
D. M.
Great place for any age! Beautiful views and great place for fun activities with the kids.
B. P.
Lovely park but almost got hit by a little black Hyundai being driven along one of the paths by a bespectacled man
T. S.
Great park, if only the people who frequented it took a little more pride in the park. Beautiful garden areas, when roses bloom it is an amazing place to wonder trhrough getting in your daily steps. It's a little oasis in a very densley populated area. It's original purposes still serves today...I really enjoy my time wondering through this place. Very early morning or really late at night are the best. Wildlife is plentiful here, unfortunately so are the sewer denizens, but they have there place in this ecosystem. Staff do an amazing job at maintaining the gounds. The glasshouse (although privatiized) is very pretty to see and explore. Nice loosely secure park area for children to play in. If people cleaned up after their pets then this place would be even better. Only two downsides are litter and dog poop. Everything else is worthwhile....great little adventure spot to hop between Goodison and Anfield if your a fan....or not as both venues offer a glimpse into past and future. Go visit, you won't be disappointed.
B. K.
Very nice venue, decent food. Definitely worth the place for a wedding
S. K.
Lived in Liverpool my whole life and had no idea this was here! Gorgeous
b. b.
Love walking round this park. Sometimes even have run first thing in the morning. Been taking a little something to eat lately and chilling out by the lake. Happy days
B. D.
Very nice family park. İt was okay and the playground was great.
D. M.
The staff are friendly and the meals are quite nice, I feel the prices are a bit high. I would visit this place again. Thank you
P. A. -. P. T. M.
Well maintained gardens with unique ponds and cute bridges
D. C. B.
We ate here as part of a Liverpool fc package, meet and greet with former pool legend. Surroundings nice, even nicer Liverpool ladies welcoming us in😉. Food was not great, very fancy but not tasty.
S. J.
Such amazing and will kept gardens. A real hidden gem.
P.
I didn't get to go inside. So I can't rate that. However the grounds are lovely
M. R.
Could make so much more out of this vast space. I like that there is a cafe, and some flowers and a lake, but there is quite a lot of grass that could be used for something
m. 8.
Nice park but not much for kids to do. Good for picnics and pets and to feed the ducks
A. H.
Covered the Eagles concert here working for my company Showsec. Very nice area directly behind Anfield stadium.
Y. R.
A breath of fresh air with a nice walk in beautiful surroundings - absolutely fantastic place in big city.
A. S.
Lovely all round kept very clean and so peaceful
K. B.
Lovely wide open space, only negative was lack of toilets. They are located in the cafe but when that closes there are no other public toilets
J. T.
A very beautiful Victorian Park 🏞️ on a massive scale with plenty to do from a large fishing 🎣 lake to park for children, courts, playing fields to s palm house 🏠
U. J.
One if the largest in Liverpool. Quite nice place to spend a sunny day.
T. R.
Lovely food in a calm relaxed space
W. T.
Amazing & Beautiful Venue Banquette Hall ... Very nice Environment
A. *.
Honestly it has everything what I expect from parks - many paths to walk, lake and many benches to just sit and chill with great views. Good to walk a dog as well
L. B.
Beautiful park, great for walking or a relaxing stroll
R. K.
Lovely well kept green space in the heart of a much built up area.
R. M.
Nice place to visit and relax. Ideal for kids, with a fenced area.... dog walking and jogging etc.
A few basic problems though.
No control over lunatic bike riders who regularly use it as a shortcut.
No access to toilets, presumably because of lockdown, but otherwise good.
Bike riders though really need to be controlled before there is a major accident particularly with school holidays starting soon.
J. M.
I went for a walk today with my wife's boyfriend. He let me stay up late last night so we were in a pretty good mood. He told me he would let me for half an hour today. Really good day
A. M.
Very nice and clean.
Friendly staff.
Keep it up.
l. f.
Playground. Good paths to learn bike riding . Squirrels.
B. S.
Great park, kept clean and tidy.
Lovely very early morning
S. H.
Park was beautiful, so tranquil. Had a baked potato, tuna cheese. Potato was all but cold, but the filling was so.....
R. F.
Beautiful place with plenty of history
P. G.
Beautiful gardens, well maintained and the ideal place for walks. I was there recently and enjoyed a good look around one of Liverpool's loveliest places. I can't wait to be back on Merseyside again.
P. J.
Beautiful park kept well, came here lately for a Carol concert
C. C.
Love this park!! Visit everyday with my dog, it's well maintained and they do a good job of managing the litter idiots leave as soon as you get a few sunny days!!
b. f.
Amazing structure!! Beautiful wedding happening whilst there.
Food at Cafe unfortunately was not excellent. Edible for sure but lacking...
B. O.
Every footy fan has heard of Stanley Park - I would say as important a Liverpool landmark as Penny Lane.
It's stunning and if you're going to Anfield or Goodison try and find time pre-match to have a wander. Goodison is covered by trees, but Anfield stands proudly over the tree line (Brentford fan!).
Enjoy your visit.
A. C.
Lovely park and great for the kids
M. M.
Took my dog for walk around the park and then up to LFC then back through park and cemetery and home .Really nice walks and all daffodils flowering
J. B.
Nice place for a walk with views of Goodison Park and Anfield Road
A. A.
My kids like it a lot
P. M.
Returning to this park after over 62 years away and was very impressed. Some things had not altered and other things were very enjoyable. Friendly people everywhere. We were impressed with the cafe too. Brought back many happy memories of childhood. Thank you!
D. V.
I love that i can smoke weed not interpret i like to skate in Stanley Park and also play football with my little brother the place is lovely i want to give it 6 stars
b. f.
Lovely fantastic park during the day. At night needs a lot more lighting, if not through the park, at keast on the perimeter.
J. W.
Stanley park is Not what it used to be the lake needs. A great deal of attention and some. Ramps are needed at the bridges for pram and wheel chair access and some were for cool drinks
C. L.
Beautiful park with free parking. Unfortunately a lot of the locals who walk thier dogs there do not pick up the dog muck. It is such a shame as the gardeners work hard to keep it nice. Liverpool city council needs to have dog wardens around the parks.
i.
This ìs a park, which for me holds many memories as a child and a teenager, that I enjoyed going to. I loved the fact that they have managed to keep it looking cared for, it was lovely to walk around the lake, which they have extended, and the flowers which in the summer will fabulous. So glad to see that Liverpool Foot ball didn't get half of the park, as this is a glorious open space, well worth keeping for the people living around here.
R. T.
I was at a wedding st the Isla Gladstone conservatory... Lovely place, recommended!
A. K.
there is everything you need: trees, water, place to sit, place to play and have some picnic.
A. G.
Enjoyed an evening of classical music from a String Quartet at the conservatory.
r. s.
Nice Park, got soaked and blanked, but as always be back in a day ir two to start again ,lol
I. H.
Very clean park lovely lake and a pleasant atmosphere
D. A.
Iconic park nestled between two famous football grounds.
The park is pretty nice and there is lots of space, often with sports being played.
There is a water section to for the duck etc.
Bit run down in areas but worth a trip if in the area.
C. T.
Very large park where you can walk with friends, take a bike ride, have a picnic with the family or even feed the ducks, geese and squirrels. It also has a playground for the kids and it's being kept pretty clean.
K. D.
Lovely day quite busy in the park, dog went for a swim in the lake, checked out the daffodils. Enjoyable hour or so walk round the park.
M. P.
Lovely to have such a beautiful open place to walk and relax and the glasshouse (I can't remember it's proper name) is something to see.
P. M.
Stanley park is honestly amazing to look at. When I was younger it was rough. Had loads of fights there growing up even got jumped once 😂 The way the lake is now is stunning and the opening in the trees showing both stadiums is a nice touch. They have reopened the bridge so you can walk over the lake and see the amazing scenery. Kids play area is good. They have table tennis tables but Every time I've been they have been missing bats and balls. The old swimming pool has been turned into a glass house which looks great. The flower garden and the path leading up to them are very peaceful
B. M.
Gorgeous place for a wedding reception!
A. S.
Good place for relaxing
R. D. W.
Went to chapel in park for funeral service. I was fortunate to get good parking space just outside park entrance, there's no onsite parking. Toilet facilities are good considering open to public. Need to be careful walking about as number of potholes & uneven surfaces. Okay if you're careful.
C. F.
Fantastic victorian Park.. well kept..terrace gardens...recent regeneration...in the shadow of Liverpool and Everton's stadium...brilliant palm house, converted into an event space with cafe on lower level...children's play area..massive expanse of fields...and boating lakes(no boats)..But be aware...the area surrounding the lakes is over run with rats!!..please Liverpool Council, get it sorted!!
B. H.
I visited the crematorium opposite to take flowers for my dad's first anniversary of his passing on 5/04/21 and then on 23/04/21 for the anniversary of his funeral. On 26/04/21 I visited again for my mum's birthday. Mum and dad are resting under a beautiful pink cherry tree. I wonder whether there is a Friends of Anfield Crematorium group to tidy the crematorium of the dead flowers, as parts look neglected.
C. W.
Lovely park shame about some of the selfish dog owners leaving their mess. Park keepers work hard on upkeep and gardens. We'll worth a visit
M. B.
Separating two football stadiums large walking area green relaxing with some large architecture around the sides duck pond on one side
C.
A nice park with a lake (or pond, really) and cafe in the middle. Good for a jog or a walk, plenty of open areas to kick a ball. Situated right in the middle of Liverpool's two football stadia... the legendary Anfield and... that other place 😋
E. N.
A lovely park, clean and well looked after by parks and gardens services. The revamp of the glass house building is awesome and is the main focal point. Play area is ok but gets very busy, there are seats for weary caregivers 😊
M. M.
Stanley Park & Garden is a good place to relax while you await for a match at the LFC or EFC. Take a walk after the game to relax your muscles after a game before you go home. I recommend Stanley Park Garden!
D. C.
A large park with a lake for ducks, geese and other birds. At one time it was a boating lake but sadly the boats have gone. In the area of the lake there are winding path with bushes and trees. The other end of the park has a large open grassed area suitable for ball games. There is a play area for children.
S.
Really nice park
G. M.
A beautiful park to walk around and relax
Its a shame people are choosing to drop litter on the ground instead of a bin
But on the whole its still lovely to walk around. Coffee break enjoyable in park cafeteria. After walk . Lovely .
E. E.
Vast car parking. Plenty of space for driving instructors to tak learners for steering balance training and all. It's just adjacent to Liverpool Football Club Stadium, Anfield.
e. l.
One of a few excellent parks in Liverpool
s. f.
Amazing views during sunset especially when riding a bike
overall great place but some teens there cause trouble be aware
J. J.
Beautiful sunny place for a peaceful lunchtime stroll.
M. M.

R. L.
A beautiful park play areas are kept so clean the lake is lovely nice to feed the ducks will go back again very soon
O.
Great wide open park, good for dogs, lit at night.
M. D.
A little gem of a park, lots to see.
Great lake and folly like buildings on a raised grand terrace.
The glass conservatory is stunning.
J. L.
Perfect for running or walking, always kept clean and plenty of fresh air!
R. W.
Nice winter Wark around park. Grandchildren loved feeding the ducks lovely to see lots of swans ana squirrels
S. H.
Went to attend a wedding at the marquee they have. Excellent service and views. Lookong forward to visit their restaurant soon.
A. A.
Lovely walk with the kids and dog
A. C.
It's nice in the summer you can feed the ducks and the gease and the the kids like the play area
S. B.
Free parking on none match days
C. S.
Lovely place wish they would be dog friendly with being situated in a patk
A. M.
Lovely park, well kept. Lots of activities to do-jogging, cycling, walking the dog...beautiful glass house with Kemps bistro underneath. Great for a family day out, it also has a playground area and lake, views of both Goodison and Anfield stadiums.👍
R. G.
Great Victorian park with great facilities for kids. Great views of both stadiums. Regular fun days held during the summer. Also houses the Gladstone glass house. Named after the famous 4 times British prime ministers daughter Isla.
s.
Love this park. So much space. A pretty lake. There is a kids play area at the front so its usually busy and loud there but if you head to the back its much quieter.
M. H.
Great place with a large room up stairs for wedding, parties and funerals. We had sandwiches and lovely cakes and there's a bar. They had about 19 tables that seated 12 people to each table. There's a dance floor to.
Downstairs there's a bistro I was told it's open for breakfast and until ,4 pm.
The only thing that could have been better planned was the number of toilets available I felt if they have a large party upstairs the 3 ladies toilets would not be enough.
The place is clean and tidy, staff very helpful. There is a bandstand outside where marriages can be performed.
Good venue near Everton Football ground ,( don't shoot me if I got that wrong I'm not from Liverpool) if I was invited to another do there I'd be happy to return to Isla Gladstone Conservatory.
S. L.
While visting liverpool and reading so much about stanley park in novels we went at lunch time it's a Lovely park but disappointed to find gate to conservatory locked even though we follow the signs
M. Y.
Boos park for walks🐾🚴♀️🕺🚶♂️🚵♂️
S.
A lovely park, nice lakes for fishing too.
Can't wait for summer, it has nice fields for relaxing with friends.
A. L.
Walk the dog past this everyday. Not been in yet, but looks amazing outside!
H. H.
Beautiful views, lots of space. Great place to take a walk and relax. With or without your pets and children.
J. M.
Went to a Christening here , the Company was special and the venue was lovely
K. O.
Love the park it's just a shame that the benchs are in the sun but I will say it is always clean its a lovely park to go to on a hot day
S. T.
Cafe area has been updated and is comfortable. You cant have exactly what you ask for they wont do a slight change to the dishes at all eg putting a small amount of onion with cheese in a baked potato and grilling it so the cheese is cooked with the onion. No onion in my cheese and uncooked cheese was then put on top of the grilled cheese. The baked potato was barley warm when I got it as the waitress was on her own trying to do her very best for the customers the place was almost full and clients came and went quite fast.
Although it looks high class the food was better some time ago, better sausages, proper scrabled egg, etc.
A. S.
Beautiful place. My Son and Daughter in law had their wedding reception at the Isla Gladstone. An amazing day. Food fantastic and staff brilliant Couldnt fault anything.
M. W.
Pleasant little park with ducks and swans on the water. Didn't see too much of it as we were going to the game.
K. P.
Great food and brilliant staff.
G. S.
I grew up playing in this park. It was neglected for a while but was back to its former glory last week!! Brought back many great memories and was a pleasure to walk around it again. Well done to whoever is keeping it looking lovely.
E. H.
Park is lovely for a stroll. Lots of interesting bits but I thought the playground was disappointing. Lots of litter including broken glass although equipment was fine.
S. E.
Fab park with great walks the kids love it here
A. J. E.
A Great outdoor events area first concert that I have attended which was Socially distanced.
To watch a Abba tribute we felt safe whilst having fun
M. C.
nice big park with Anfield one end and goodison park the other with lots of space for kids to run round and have picnics but hope they dont need the toilet as they are shut
B. S.
Was great took the baby to feed the ducks and the park is nice aswell would recommend this to any parents who live locally to there
C. D.
Fabulous green space well looked after and cherished by local residents. Always activities happening from yoga to sketch club. Isla Gladstone is handy for drinks and food within the park. Avoid on match days and late at night.
G. B.
Lovely park so quiet it's hard to believe your in Liverpool apart from the smell of urine coming from goodison.
D. J.
Stanley park is part of my childhood, growing up in the 60s. It's not the same as it was unfortunately. The bowling green has gone. The activities centre has long gone, along with stage, which was used for shows back in the day! Still a lovely park though. Bring back the Anfield festival!
j. w.
Beautiful. Great water spaces, an expanse of green, and you can see both Liverpool and Everton football grounds from there. The park seems to be well maintained and relatively flat.
c. s.
I had my friend up from waymouth with 2 foster children we all realy enjoyed the Tour and purchases from the shop thank you x
D. P.
Lovely wedding reception, only to spoil my night ! No John Smith's , no draught beer at all,
K. M.
Has a good well kept fishing lake and lots of playing field space. Is also being used as a covid-19 test site.
M. C.
Beautiful park, has a child. Grown up in sixties myself and brother Peter would play in paddle pool, public or visit Victorian glass house, currently A restaurant, meeting Ben.
L. I.
Beautiful park
C.
Always a pleasure to walk or Cycle around Stanley Park.
A. T.
Lovely place for a special occasion. Courteous staff and delightful decor.
D. F.
Sandwiched between the legendary home stadiums of Everton and Liverpool football clubs this large open space complete with lake, beautiful tree laden walkways and bridges has a feel of being a modern slant on an earlier era. A good play area for children and a stunning conservatory edged with some elegant planting and stone walls. Simply quite stunning in parts.
J. T.
Beautiful building, we were there for a piano recital. Friendly staff, very clean.
D. C. F. M.
Very nice the parck
M. L.
Daughter had her school prom, great venue. Also suitable for functions small or large. Also open to general public for food during the day.
J. C.
My local area of Anfield good open spaces will always visit 👌.
P. B.
Great walk during summer time, beautiful walk in autumn with the trees changing colour. If you go to Liverpool, you got to go to Stanley park, oh, and there is two football stadiums on either side, that is worth a visit.
A. R.
Really nice park near the football stadiums. Plenty of grass areas to play and flowered areas to enjoy. Nice café Kemp's as well, good value.
T. D.
Beautiful park, great play area and well kept by the council. Only down side is limited space to fly drone due to the nearby football grounds no fly zones.
C. P.
Lovely park for all to enjoy. Had a nice playground on site too
P. K.
Traditional town/city park. I guess established in Victorian times. Ideal place for families with wide paths, large open grass areas and decorative flower beds.
P. S.
Nice venue. Good amenities. Food could have been much better
C. C.
First visit to Stanley Park. Really fantastic location for a nice walk. Plenty to see including lakes. Very traditional park that historically goes back a long time. Definitely worth a visit with Anfield and Goodison Park stadiums close by.
P. W.
Beautiful place, could walk around there all day in the sun with the family..
L. M.
Nice and spacious park with lovely greenery.Lake could do with a clean up.Overall superb place to escape the street i live on 😂😂
J. T.
Lovely garden, beautiful Isla Gladstone Conservatory, free parking (go early), Kemp's Bistro has decent food, and it's a five-minute walk to Anfield Stadium.
T. B.
Good layout great walk with your dog, plenty of wildlife on the lake for the kids. Park staff friendly to talk to, the palmhouse brill:-
S. I.
A great place for gatherings
m. k.
The park areas are great with good parking.
But the real gem is the glazed palm house. It is a great place for a function. You will love it.
t. k.

N. T.
Great set up for kids football on a Saturday
B. K.
Beautiful location and venue ❤️
K. P.
The park itself is ok could do with a little lick of paint... but great for the open grass areas to let your little monsters run about until they drop or you drop what ever comes first.. don't play hind and seek at all that is a warning my little one ran off and well I found him a week later sitting outside the cafe asking for change from people... on the top side he made 20 quid and bought me a McDonalds for tea...
E. S.
My niece wanted to ride a swan. My boyfriend didn't think I'd know the queen was the only one who could eat one. No animals were harmed in the process
p. s.
Nice park for a walk with the dog
s.
Beautiful park , lots of open space a nice place to chill
J. O.
I love the park its on my door step, but one fault. Dosent have a fenced in dog area. unlike Bootle witch is a much smaller park. I would gladly pay to take my dog into!!!!
K. 2.
Beautiful park. Especially now in the Spring. Even in the rain the pink blossom was so beautiful. Sleek lines and landscaped borders.
K. C.
Aircon was not enough cooling, even when the doors were closed. Too hot inside due to a sunny day and there was no arrangement for any kind of curtains to cover. Everywhere glass , straight under the sun, too hot.
M. M.
Its only got better over the years and there is more parking around now. Lfc stadium anfield is just nextdoors. Very pretty if you want to have a sitdown or a small picnic. its a great place.
A. A.
Peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
J. H.
Nice park, next to the best stadium in the Northwest of England, Anfield. Home of Liverpool FC.
K. D.
Nice city park adjacent to Anfield. Often hosts events and can be nice for a walk, but unfortunately let down by people littering and not picking up dog muck.
j. m.
Open aspects, stone work well maintained, lake well aerated supporting fish and waterfowl. Lots of friendly local people.Great day out.
S. J. B.
Good selection of lichen!!!
R. V.
I just love the Beautiful, green space here!
C. H.
Seems weird seeing it from an outsiders perspective on the telly but to actually the physical distance between Anfield and Goodison Park by way of Stanley Park brings home the rivalry and why it is such a rivalry. The park looked nice especially it being a nice day.
M. F.
Short walk with my daughter ,all seemed covid safe. Just a nice winter walk with beautiful scenery.
P. O.
Think its a shame the lake doesnt get cleaned. A lot of rats around. Also more Bins is a must
D. g.
This is a great park with a children's playground & a large lake & was excellent for dog walking, but the local authority seems to not like dogs & or dog walkers because several areas within the park has dog banning orders, this includes the raised walkway leading to the Isla Gladstone conservatory, overnight making it impossible to legally purchase food or drinks from the Isla Gladstone when out with the dog.
A. H.
Brilliant a good day fishing. The lake is very well looked after. I USUALLY fish Newsham Park but it's in a terrible state and unfishable and in a band way.
A. N.
Ambient parking space. Proximity to LFC stadium. Good location for driving leaders and instructors.
T. S.
Beautiful park. If you would like to have a fresh air that’s definitely the right place.
S. J.
Always loved this place since a kid and now my kids enjoy a walk, a play and a snack in a beautiful historic inner city park between two of the best football clubs in the world
G. D.
A pretty park with a lot of open space, a lake and spring flowers. Unfortunately a little too much rubbish around.
D. R.
Lovely park when the weather is good, ideal for dog walking or taking your kids to the play park. We actually got married here in the glass House
t. w.

J. M.
Good and keeps us apart, and at the moment, But it will be Good as Our New Car Park , soon....💯👍

Fantastic Park....must be kept as a park and not built on...vital we keep all these type of green spaces in cities...pity people can't throw rubbish in the bins provided instead of on the floor..🌳🌾
R. H.

T. M.
Lovely afternoon in the park . It was packed . Only one thing . After a lovely walk . We went for a coffee in the cafe. It closes at 4 o'clock. Mad . Parks packed and it's closing .

It's a big and beautiful park. Unfortunately some people throw trash on the ground and on the grass. But it's still a really nice park.
C. I.
Lovely bit of greenery between 2 huge stadiums. Free parking on non match days
j. l.
One of Britain's most beautiful Victorian parks.. stunning open views, mature trees and one of the best walled gardens (and largest)

Gone really quiet since the pandemic, used to be a bustling place to shop, and the outside shops are still good, has the best liverpool and everton stall in the whole of Merseyside
