I live so close to this park and really don't get to go very often which is a shame as its such a beautiful park. I took my grandchildren for a,nice walk around both the lakes to feed the ducks, geese and swans and around the trees to feed the squirrels. They absolutely loved it. I've now made my mind up to visit much more often.

Nice Park, the dog loves a good run here. Trouble is so many nasty dogs in here I'm forever putting him on and off the lead. Apart from that it's nice, he loves watching the ducks.

This is a lovely park with lots of friendly faces, I regularly take my Frenchie Spud here. There are a lot of other dogs to socialise with so it's great for him. Football pitches, wide open spaces to sit down and a sports centre, what more could you want!

Great park for little ones to play in, little "zoo" which you can go in to for free with chickens, peacocks, red squirrels, pigs and alpacas. Lovely for small children. Has toilets and a nice cafe too. Have to pay to park £3 weekdays and £4 weekends for all day.

Great little place, tidy ,not spotless but safe ,IE; no cigarette butt's or drug paraphernalia to be seen around play area,safe enclosure. Long flower lined walking paths with exercise equipment dotted along the path .

Nice park with plenty of parking spaces. There is a nice big play area for kids and plenty of football pitches and tennis courts. The walk around the pond is nice to do too. The only thing that lets it down is the building where the gym is (or used to be) is very run down and is in need of improvement

Ok park. Nice ponds spoiled by rubbish, shopping trolleys etc. Nice to see birds with lots of young though. And must be plenty of fish judging by the amount of anglers!! Small play area for kids , a keep fit trail and plenty of green space. Has a leisure centre and football pitches which were busy when I passed. The park is also home to Everton ladies football team in a tidy little ground. With a bit more effort from council park could look a lot better, I would suggest lot more bulbs and colourful shrubs to brighten it up a bit as well as a good clean up of rubbish.

Nice venue. The fans are close to the pitch and its easy to feel like you are part of something watching Everton. More improvements are on the way so it looks like the venue will get even better.

A beautiful park, with a number of fishing lakes and plenty of birds, ducks, geese and squirrels. Outdoor gym equipment, a great route for runners and a gym with car parking attached, and a children's play area and football playing fields. Everything you would need in one place! I love this park. It's so nice when you just want to get out of city life for a few moments and enjoy nature.

Had a fantastic time. Stood in line in the cold weather to get a PCR Test, saw a car crash, but at least the weather wasn't rainy. Saw a few dogs, windy trees, puddles. Would recommend 10/10 for visitors.

Its a nice walk and has two lakes. There is a children's play area if your children are bored. There is a path round the outside of the park, which is good for walking, running and cycling, as well as a field where you can play games, have a picnic, etc. It is also a popular place for people to walk their dogs.

This park is so great for everyone, especially dog walkers you can let your dog run round because its fenced in and everyone is always friendly. It has play areas for little ones and outside exercise equipment aswell. We have moved from the area now but we still travel back for walks because it's such a lovely, well taking care of park.

A lovely park where i spend many hours jogging and walking and taking in the peace and tranquility of this beautiful green space. This park is well maintained. Always has plenty of visitors. Very clean and tidy. There are two lakes which are used by regulars most days. Great to see families walking each day. So nice to think that places like these have remained pretty much as they were for decades upon decades.

I love this park. Has almost everything you could want from a park. A lovely lake where your kids can feed the ducks, big open green spaces, quiet woodland like places, a childrens play area, etc. I always take my children here even if its just for a walk because it's just lovely. The lake has a railing all the way around it aswell so you never have to worry about your children accidentally diving in which is a bonus.

Its a good place to take my granddaughters to. It has lots of open grass areas to play games on, have a picnic or just enjoy the sun, when weather is nice. Also has a playground area with activities for children off all ages.

It's a nice walk through the park with 2 big fishing ponds. But they are trying to revamp the park. Putting more benches and litter bins for public to use. There is a football academics there and sports centre. But my only concern is the litter especially of the fishermen just left were they sat.

Nice place, good facilities, plenty to do. Crazy gold and pitch and putt. A small putting zoo a kids playground, nice area, and parking is all day for I think £3. Worth a look and they have events on.

Lovely walk with my dog 😁 just wished more people would leash their dog when you approach them. Not all dogs are friendly and mine is a very nervous dog when unknown dogs approach him ☹️. Also a lot of people are afraid of dogs so please be more considrate of other park users .

A nice Park for a dog walk got a bit of fishing in the 2 lakes situated at the top of the park. Please be aware though that there are a few dog walkers that let there dogs have free in this park dont bother that they aren't using a lead to protect both themselves an there dog from any issues that may arise as a result of no leash control apart from that it's fairly clean a d tidy better then some other parks in the local area. Ah I nearly forgot to mention there is a fully functional playground that is securely sectioned off this works out perfectly as you can on the bench that is close enough to enable you to take 5 chill down whilst also being able to keep a watchful eye on the little ones that are making the most of the playground equipment provided at this particular park win win in my book.... 😊🏞

A beautiful 130 acre park, it has fantastic scenery, lush open green fields for the children to play on. two outstanding lakes full of fish and brimming with wildlife. Lots of geese and ducks to feed. It has owls and bats that can be seen at dusk. There is two bowling greens and great exercise equipment around the park for anybody that wants to get fit and it is all free to use. It has a stunning rose garden brought back to life by the friends group who are all local volunteers, they also litter pick and its cleanliness is plain to see. It has children's seating areas and play areas that are maintained by the friends group. They also plant seeds, bulbs and lots of flowers and plants around the park. A really good day out with lots of things to do and see in a perfect oasis in a busy city

This has been my local park since a child. Its lovely in the spring and summer with visiting fairgrounds and various events. Sunday mornings on the main field are full of kids playing in the football leagues and the kids play area and sand pit are great for all kids. The sport centre has a well equipped gym and the building has recently received a complete indoor facelift. The 2 fishing lakes draw plenty seasoned and novice fishermen alike and the main walk through the centre of the park takes you straight through to Queens Drive leisure centre & Alsop high school) if you start walking at Walton Hall Ave (the next entrance after the sports centre; as if you were going towards the East Lancashire rd) and stay on the main central path.

Lovely group of dog walkers to talk to. One large staffie / pit bull lookalike called Rocko is really friendly with females, despite looking scary, but he's boisterous and probe to jump up at you, but throw him his tennis ball and he'll love you forever !

A much improved local amenity the council have spent a lot of time trying to clean it up in the last few years with much improved pathways and well maintained fields the old Victorian fencing around the fishing lake is great to see as it helps keep the historic scenery alive of course it was once part of a much larger liverpool zoological gardens who's entrance gate house can still be found on rice lane beside the plough public house
