Reviews of Clissold Park
J. B.
It is a beautiful park. Nice walkways and beautiful nature. There were pelicans in the summer and some green birds and of course squirrels. There is also a coffe shop place that you can find some food and beverages. They have outdoor seating too. There are toilets in the park as well.
B. S.
We love Clissold Park and its goats, deers and birds. The playground is huge and great fun for all ages. The sand could be a bit nicer. Clissold Cafe has a good babychino for my little one and I cannot wait to have the paddling pool redone and open again. Great times in Clissold park. The old, huge trees are impressive as well.
M. P.
Walked through part of the park, a great open space, well used by families, dog walkers etc.
Didn't have time linger on this occasion, but previously I visited with a friend, who as a child spent hours there, reminiscing about the outdoor swimming pool.
S. M.
Beautiful park. Extremely well kept. Loved the animals here. The park as a whole is very relaxing
ג. י.
A very nice neighborhood park. Has a lovely pond, and lots of green, a calm and sweet walk around the park.
It's always to be able to have a calm and pleasurable experience

Lovely place to visit, park is brilliant, muga, skate park, cafe in side with cafe in church opposite. Beautiful huge open space and animals to see! Some run down bits but expected with Covid and everything else they have to offer keeps it at 5* for me!

I grew up in Stokey, always within a short distance of Clissold Park, and I’ve spent a lot of time there, with many fond memories. It’s a moderate sized green space incorporating two lakes with a range of waterfowl and other wildlife, a cafe, a skate park, tennis courts, a children’s play area, a butterfly enclosure, aviary, deer and goats. Part of the New River can still be found running through the park. It can be crowded at times, especially on the paths and around the lakes, so if you want more space you may want to venture to Hampstead Heath and other, larger green spaces.
E. R.
A wonderful park in Stoke Newington in the borough of Hackney. It covers an area of 55 acres and has tennis courts, bowling green, skateboard area, cafe and 2 lakes which are home to ducks, geese and swans. Perfect for joggers and dog walkers. Also great for photo shoots.
O. L.
Beautiful park with a lot of things inside. There are deers, goats, birds. Playground, basketball, table tennis, skate park, puddle pool, two lakes, water fountains, river, cafe, public toilet, vast lawn area and lots of big trees and benches all over the park. When it's nice outside, this is the place to go for everyone!
Z. C.
Beautiful park with a mini zoo in the middle. Deers and goats are always there, but on my recent visit I spotted that the parrots are now sadly gone. Still worth a visit!
Y. B.
Big and fantastic open space with playground area, animal enclosures, games area, fountains and good coffee at the Clissold House. There are good food options nearby. Excellent to spend a nice day.

It's not the problem of this park only but almost all parks in UK. Very big dogs are unleashed while many children running around. Still nice view and the coffee shop and the pond makes it more enjoyable. Children play area is huge and fun.
A. U.
Lovely park we enjoyed it very much went for a picnic with the kids spent a good 4 hours we ate we played and went to see the animals. There's a swimming pool but wasn't open yet maybe soon.
S. S.
This is such a lovely park. Lots to do. Walk around four lakes, see the enclosed animals and picnic. There’s an amazing children’s playground. The cafe on the slope is a sunspot. There’s also exercising equipment, tennis, skateboarding, roller-skating, community functions, and more!
H. K.
Very nice relaxing park, has cafe, ponds, tennis court, animals and children's play area. Safe to walk dogs too. Vibrant and relaxing energy in Hackney borough. Cute to see Goose with little newborn gosling and ducklings.
G. M.
Lovely park - perfect for dog walking or having a tea/coffee from the lovely cafe on the hill
J.
Wonderful park. Gorgeous mature trees 🌳 and filled with nature and lovely lake. Public loos and nice lil cafe. Table tennis 🏓 also.
M. A.
Perfect place to spend whole day with your family and friends. It got play area for kids. Nice gardens for adults to walk and chat. Badminton and tennis court for youth. One dish with all flavours.
H. B.
Girlfriend used to love opposite this park and it was always a great local space to relax on a hot day or even to go for a run around. Large enough that a few laps is a decent run. Felt safe to walk around in the evening.
T. D.
I tend to walk around clissold at least 3 times whilst baby is asleep. On waking we stop to look at the deer, goats and any passing dog which all apparently make the same noise according to little one. The butterflies aren't there yet and I can't wait. Then to the big lake to watch the swans and ducks. I like the fountain in the middle of the there which is soothing. There is an excellent cafe, where you can get a delicious coffee and I somehow manage to ignore the yummy looking cakes and hurriedly get my drink and can wander down and sit by the stream? Or there is a nice quite area down the side of the cafe. Decent clean toilets as well as a dog free space for the children to play and have picnics. Then there is the lovely playground, which has an abundance of things to go on and the keep children occupied. Just behind the playground is a skate board park which I have never seen unused. I have always loved the feel of clissold and hope they bring back the paddling pool this summer which the kids will absolutely love. I will never tire of Clissold and highly recommend.

Best park. Has wildlife.. deers ducks and goats.
My toddler loved it.

This park is very awesome .it's also very good for kids and family for enjoying their free times . sometimes some small birthday parties and some functions will be there.i was rider in that area i used to pass the way so many times in day there .I used to saw so many different things like families enjoying time , couples having their good time , some people running their innovative businesses and functions, like wise NHS conducts some programs there to help the people also.
L. G.
It's beautiful and has animals inside, you can't stroke or feed them but you can get a great view.
K. J. (.
Very cute park, has all the amenities and space.
Skate park , basketball area, tennis area, deers/goats, Café. Ample amount of space, feel safe walking through. Overall very good park with water play area to be made.
S. S.
Such a lovely park! It's as nice as Richmond or any of the more popular parks, and in the middle of the city so one doesn't have to travel as much. It has a number of facilities like a nice cafè, dedicated ball playing areas, children's swings and play areas and table tennis console. Also has tennis courts inside.
PS - get the fresh orange juice at the café. It's only £1.5 and they serve it freshly squeezed and chilled.
A. S. (.
Beautiful scenery. Space is vast. It's filled with basketball, tennis, skateboarding, and cycling parks. As well as a playground and a comically mini farm for the kids. On the opposite side the park is finished with small lakes littered with swans, ducks, and ducklings.
F. S.
Such a gorgeous park. Can't wait to go back. Great for an Autumn day or the weekend. Church street which is a 5 min walk or so from the park has some great independent shops and also a flea/vintage market on particular weekends.
S. S.
Just... come here and see/feel the relaxing vibes yourself. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
Ps: bring a blanket!
S. M.
Very interesting park, many large mature specimens of trees. 3 lakes and a waterfeature that resemble the new river, but is not. The whole park is easily accessible from Green Lanes. There are also deer, goats and sheep in enclosures. A really decent grey poplar, Populus canescens, can be seen by the lake.
I. O.
This is my favourite park in London. It was my first ever park to visit when I came to London 25 years ago. I played football and learnt cricket in this park. Fond memories. Park has a mini zoo with some goats, deers and beautiful birds to watch. It has also a lovely cafe and toilets are also available for the public.
There is a skate borders section with a mini hill where you can watch a sunset.
If you love tennis this park has about 3 to 4 tennis courts to sweat yourself.
There are ponds too where you can hear different species of ducks making noises in the sunset.
Good for picnics and catching especially in this weird corona times. Enjoy
S. S.
Gets very busy because it's so awesome for kids. Playground, skateboard ramp. Ponds full of water birds.
M. M.
Great spacious park with a lovely little stream, cafe, a few children's playareas, sports areas and ping pong tables, a bird veiwing area, great place for dogs and more Im yet to to probably discover.

I LOVE Clissold Park!
A beautiful park with charming character.
I really enjoy jogging through Clissold, there's enough space and pathways to get a decent run in and there are plenty of beautiful sights to enjoy whilst trying not to think about how many minutes I've been running for.
It's a total understatement, but Clissold Park has been a godsend for me during lockdown.
Another stunning sight to enjoy whilst jogging (or not) is
the stand - alone eighteenth century mansion house 'Clissold House' (currently closed for events and bookings, but open for take away coffee!)
There are big ponds home to beautiful swans, ducks and baby ducklings, a small animal sanctuary (deer, goats and parrots), a great size children's playground that has a zipwire, swings and a big slide! (my niece's favourites)
There is so much green space it's great for the kids to run about in and explore.
Clissold is my favourite park in London, the atmosphere and vibe is really nice and the pathways are all flat-route so it's great for joggers, bikes, pushchairs/prams and wheelchairs.
Other facilities include;
Toilets (currently closed)
Tennis courts
Skate park/bowl
Outdoor pool (paddling, currently not in use)
I always see happy faces in this park.
Defo a vibe, any season.

Ticks & Lyme disease!
The close proximity of deers inside the park means you absolutely need to inspect your legs for ticks. I caught two a couple of years ago (and developed early symptoms of the Lyme disease - was treated with antibiotics and the bullseye red rings around the bites disappeared) and my friend caught one yesterday. Great park otherwise, but just bring a blanket and inspect every nook and cranny of your body after lying down there!
J. N.
Spacious, serene, placid and civilised, it contains deer and bird enclosures, tennis courts, a cafeteria, lakes, and on a fine day is populated by pockets of peaceful gatherings.
M. S.
We passed through Clissold whilst doing a longer walk. It looked to be a good well used park. Had a good cup of tea at the small cafe.
R. O.
Beautiful Park. Jogging/walking route, kids play area, wonderful tennis courts, great cafe. Something to engage and of interest to everyone.
E. B.
Nice place to go to spend time with family. Large play area for young children and a few animals to see, lots of open space
F. O.
Fantastic little tidy park, strangely rarely mentioned in guides. If you're in Stoke Newington or Dalston don't miss out
F. M.
The park is Beautiful, clean and tidy, all flat route so great for bikes, foot scooters, wheelchairs, buggies, facilities are tennis courts, wildfoul ponds, bird aviary,, fallow Deer and a large children's playground, cafe, toilets, etc, many entrances too and on many bus routes
A.
Clissold Park is our local park, so we’re a little biased, but we truly think it’s one of the loveliest parks in London. It’s got a lovely cafe in Clissold House, there is a gorgeous deer enclosure, as well as two goats and some cute birds. There’s a sizeable children’s playground, and a skate park too. Lots of pretty trees and plants, and plenty of space even on a summer weekend.
M. K.
It's a park I love I have been coming here since I was a kid, it's well looked after good for all age groups and has a pretty cool history.
N. B.
Beautiful park with excellent sports and recreation facilities. The cafe in the house does a good selection of food (although I've only had coffee/snacks) and decent coffee too. A very dog-friendly park in general and an ideal spot for exercising. Some stunning views in the sunshine too. Also have a regular program of events at the house and in the park to look out for.
A. S.
This is an incredible park with so many things to do and it is packed on a sunny day. The grounds are great with various historic buildings onsite and around. There's a playground, deer, goats, butterflies, skatepark, massive playground, children's paddling pool and cafe. Fantastic fun for everyone.
L. S.
Absolutely love this place. Great for all ages. Includes a cafe, play park, skate park, two lakes and lots of space to walk or relax
I. H.

I'm walking through Clissold Park to soothe my soul and to calm my nerves and stop to just think why my life is such a mess. Part of that is people I should never have trusted. Clissold Park is perfect particularly on a sunny day if you want to walk the dog, be with family and friends or if you just want to be by yourself and just clear your head and get away from the house.
S. N.
A very tranquil park with playground, sport arena, cafe, lakes, and small zoo. It's really nice in the warm summer days.
F. “.
This is the first time I went to Clissold Park, I went to use the skate park and it was really fun. Really cool vibe in this park. There's a nice old house in the middle of the park and some nice ponds. Today there were some sexy girls doing photo shoots
C.
Gorgeous park with lots of open space, dog friendly and very clean! There is a basket ball court and a children's playground and I can't forget to mention the goats and deer!
C. K.
What a lovely little park, great to have a walk round and admire all the cute dogs.
J. M.
A lovely park with ponds, a river and a great cafe in the centre
G. M.
I love Clissold Park! It’s really nice to enjoy with friends and family, specially if you have a dog to take with you! Lots of doggy friends to play there.
g.
Big park with lakes and play areas, and a cafe. Good for cycling and running as lots of well marked paths and not too hilly. Can get very busy and crowded, nice in early mornings.
n. f.
Beautiful park, but 20 minutes to get a coffee when you are 2nd is queue is a bit mad
B. C.
Great park and playground lots of different equipment both standard metal structure and natural features. Good nature area with deer goats and birds. Clean child friendly toilets.
E. S.
One of the best London parks
T. S.
Well curated, perfect size, wonderful park! It has 2 beautiful goats, many deers and some parrots. Perfect place for a date, children or just walk the dogs; a bit crowded during weekdays. There is a coffee shop on top of a hill, beautiful view a bit overpriced but really enjoyable.
r. c.
This is such a beautiful and quite large park. The cafe looks over parr of it and there's a cute baby animal farm. You never get bored of walk8ng around as there are so many sections including a baby paddle pool and tennis courts. It is do big that it is never that crowded!
M. M.
Wonderful park with many different areas. We went for the Friends Fest based on the famous comedy series Friends. The experience was brilliant with exact replicas of the stage set in Clissold Park. The park itself is gorgeous with a large pond and plenty of green space ideal for families, couples, individuals, groups. Ideal for dog walks too.
E. R.
Well located park in the middle of Stoke Newington known as "Families with kids friendly area". Surrounded by beautifully preserved historical buildings. Great park for play tennis or just walk with your friends or family.
E. A.
I went to Clissold Park with my students and they loved it.
The educational trip was really a brilliant time in the community for the children with special needs.
The park was clean and the children play area too.
The play area was secure and not busy. There were different apparatus suitable for each child's needs and ability. The children and adults really enjoyed the visit and are looking forward to visiting again.
M. L.
One of the most beautiful parks with lake and animals
D. G.

A. M.
I've not come to this park before but by the look of the park and images from the Google I can tell it is a nice park for children and family.
Today I attended an event "Anatolian Cultural Fete" that took place in this park for two days . Today is the last day of the event.
The event took place in one side of the park. Food stalls were set up in white tent. There was a seating area in another tent. Also traditional way of seating arrangements were made.
In one side there was some rides for the children including bouncy castle.
Main attraction was the ladies only area. Women were selling all sorts of products. From bedsheet-throws to cotton scarves. Glassware-dinnerware products to art and design. Handicrafts, Calligraphy and brooches. Someone was doing Henna on the kids too. Taking pictures weren't allowed hence I don't have anything from the ladies side.
There was a prayer room and a toilet too.
At around 4pm a stage show, singing and dancing took place. We didn't stay any longer. First of all, it was really windy, cloudy and cold. 3°C colder than yesterday.
Secondly, couldn't understand anything that was being said in Turkish.
Food: We bought 5 packet of Chicken and meat doner and 2 packet of Burger. Got a free Pepsi with Burger. They had Ice cream, Turkish Tea and Baklava stalls.
I'm a BIG fan of Dirilis Ertugrul so I bought a Kayi hat for £3. My one had the Ottoman symbols at the front. Should have gone for the one with Kayi symbol; lYl
My sister bought a Tughra designed fridge magnet. The stall had few things to sell and I have almost half the things that was laid on the table due to going to Turkey in 2014.
Despite the weather we enjoyed our time there. Yesterday was sunny and bright. Should have gone yesterday. Looking forward to another cultural festival.
Transport: Route 141 and 341 operates here. Bus stop is within walking distance from both sides.
J.
Lovely park, lots to do. Particularly love the deers 🦌
R. R. a. a.
Nice park and a decent size. Walked the dog round there. There's goats, deers and ducks with a small stream running through, further down there 2 ponds with more ducks and swans. Good park for a stroll and people are friendly.

The park itself would be great if it was not so much for its upkeep. Certain areas like the butterflyand bird enclosures look not that cared for. You have an overgrow in the butterfly dome, where I'm doubtful there are any butterflies. And it is understandable if it is to do with covid, shortage of staff. But you cannot excuses the lack of toys, mirrors in the parot enclosures. Thank goodness there were enough of them to keep each other company, but it still looked so sad and grey.
A. C.
Wonderful park with plenty of areas to rest, read or play. Nice little farm too
R. S.
Beautiful relaxing park. A lovely day out. Nice cafe too, a little overpriced but 'thumbs up' for lovely food.
M. L.
Best park in town. Lovely atmosphere, full of families and even a little animal farm with deers, birds, butterflies, and lots more. Open spaces where to practice sports and a beautiful cafe where to have a chill brunch.
K. H.
Lovely park for a walk or run. Close to Finsbury Park and Arsenal stations. Good for kids. Pretty lake and also a cafe and playground.
A. F. n. B.
Enjoyable place to go and chill. Has a small zoo, and a swimming pool, tennis court, childrens' playing area, and a restaurant. Lovely birds but the bird pools needs a clean as it looks like a swamp.
G. I.
The best playground I've been on. I came all the way from North Chingford with my child, and he loved it too. Lots of opportunities for climbing, which is so important for toddlers. Also a big sand area for sensory play, again so important for this age. Most playgrounds have swings and slides only. Maybe some other equipment, but Clissold Park playground is far the best. Another important detail, there is a public toilet.
A. A.
Beautiful place to spend the days on holidays or so, can be very busy on weekends. Very relaxing, there are swings and slides for kids, beautiful waterfalls and very relaxing grass.
T. a. N.
Lovely, wonderful park for local and visitors whom happen to come to this area, there is also a small cafe in old building and garden for sitting and enjoy the day. Plenty of playground for kids, including spaces for Rollerskater and rollerblade. Separate running alley between big trees help making someone's day better. There is also like a mini zoo inside the park, you can find deers and check up on butterflies house.
A. F.
Great. Incredible park.
S. P.
My favourite park in London...has deer, play park, lido, stately home that's now a coffee shop cafe. Trees that are hundreds of years old. And a duck pond.( I love ducks)
F. P.
Lovely park with a few animals to see. A paddling pool during the summer. Cafe that sells lovely treats. Toilets in a decent state. Good play area. Local bus stops nearby.
H. v. d. D.
Lovely park at any time of the year - spacious, with gorgeous trees and a lovely running trail of almost exactly 2km.
L. K.
Nice and clean park with a nice little lake. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy your time
P. P.
What a pleasant surprise haven't been to Clissold park for over 10 years, and it has hardly changed. The enclosures still have Fallow deer, goats and a small aviary.
The kids adventure/ play area has been improved and the whole park was clean and presentable. Highly recommend.
M. S.
A lovely place to check out as a family or on your own for self contemplating. Running track around the park. Deers, goats, and parrots will astonished young and old
B. M.

E.
Beautiful park, make sure you bring carrots for the deers and goats
C. H.
Quite versatile park with ponds and multiple options for sports. The park includes a skatepark, tennis courts and a playground.
If you are a runner, the path around inside the park along the fence is popular and most of the times you are not complete alone running there.
Has also a nice fenced-in area with deers, watch them in the sunset when the are looking for food.
J. W.
Lovely park in summer and winter. Cafe with amenities on-site. Good section for children. Beautiful deer, goats and birds!
I. D. m. i. E.
Very popular on the back of 6-7 estate the only reason i'm not giving it an 10,parking, ////parking is slightly problematic but apart from that very good busy at times cuz it's a big massive children area , well maintain kept clean, with toilet, and watering points, excellent park, with lots of extras, cafe, with funfairs and animal enclosure
J. M.
Quite a nice park to walk through, especially impressed by the Georgian building that hosts a little park cafe. However, it's full of children and therefore very noisy so not ideal for reading or quiet contemplation.
S. B.
Great space to relax and people watch whilst kids play
Q. O. O.
A lovely and friendly park... I had great fun with my son
B. C.
One of the treasures of East London. Vlissold park is a small paradise in Stoke Newington. Great lawns. Ponds, play areas for kids and animal enclosures.

J. B.
It was lovely. cafe good food & service & value for money. A pleasant day
I. O.
I took my 4 year old first time and he loved it, enjoyed seeing the 🐐 & 🦌. The park is beautiful and also has a stay and play that runs Monday - Friday 13:00-15:00pm which is nice as well throughout the year except bank holiday and Xmas. Will come back again. 😌 Oh there's public toilets too and a cafe which is a little pricey 🙂.
M. “. B.

Lovely park with a nice café, tennis courts, a mini zoo and overall great amenities for family and kids. Very popular among the local young families, especially during summer. I wish all the parks well so well maintained like this one (referring to Finsbury Park in particular).
S. A.
Love going there. There is a playground for children with different options, such as climbing, sand, slide, and many more. Lovely green area to sit or play, small pond with ducks, also there is a small cafe available for drinks or ice cream. Also there are tennis courts available to use. It is lovely park and close to local shops and restaurants. I would recommend to everyone especially if you have children👍😊
V. G.
What a wonderful park. Such a gorgeous place with everything anyone could expect.
S. D. N.
Lovely for walking, dog exercising etc; we didn’t try the cafe, though.
S. K.
The most beautiful and peaceful park! I cycle through it everyday it is on my way to work, what a pleasure!
K. M.
Has a Skatepark, a cafe, football pitch, basketball courts, a tennis club and house, tennis coaches, a pond, fishes in that pond, a creche, public toilets, a rose garden, wildlife, butterfly sanctuary, and loads of joggers and great social vybz. Basically the best park in London of its size. Make sure you visit.
h. b.
It's one Big park where you get to see animals and bird of different species.
There's a paddle pool, a play area for toddlers and bigger kids. Cafe with ample of sitting space. And of course beautiful pathways!!
A. A.
I love coming to Clissold Park. It has everything you could want. Animals, children’s play area, skate park, tennis, toilets!, a cafe, loads of space and there’s usually an ice cream van just outside the gates in the summer. Love it.
C. H.
Came here on a hot summer day to hang with friends in the shade and let the kids play at the playground. Kids played for hours. It was amazing. Probably the best park we have seen in London for kids. We didn't even get time to check out the animals or anything else. The kids didn't want to leave.
Adult time for adults, play time for kids. Win all around
O.
A beautiful park, they also have a few animals in here, my favourite are the fallow deer 🦌
O. D.

Funfair was great but no parking to near and they used to be more polite and friendly in Funfair staff not anymore 👎
S. M.
Nice park but quite a lot of people seem to go there...lot traffic driving around so not as nice as Victoria park which I think is larger..not sure.

Such a beautiful park, with an awesome play park for the kids. They even have animals and a little cafe.
K. R.
Great place to walk your pooch. Socially diverse with a wonderful dog owner community.
J. S.
I enjoyed walking round the park with my granddaughter. We both enjoyed being able to talk and walk and adding to our steps. It was good going walking from about 6pm when it was cooler. Also seeing and hearing the wildlife.
M. P.
Lovely place for walk, or to have a picnic, loads of green grass space. There's even a space where there are goats🐐and dears🦌 some fun for kids! Tennis courts(pre booked), playground for kids, fountains ⛲ in water ponds, little dining place, tables outside. Overall good experience!
D. J.
I like this park. Not too big, not to small, and clean.
And it has functional public toilets, is hard to find in London.
I. Y.
My favourite Park to walk with my dog, loads of dog walkers professional and people with their own dogs
F. A.
Visiting this park on a hot summer sunday was definitely a great idea. The park was very clean. Even though it was packed full of people there was still a lot of space let. The people we came across were really warm and friendly. Will definitely visit again when next we visit London.
M. T.
One of the things I admire in London is its parks. I always try to take the opportunity to visit them. I appreciate the care with which they are managed. It is an exceptional space for meetings, relaxation, sports and leisure time with children.
A. D.
A really nice walk and good coffee in the house. My grand daughters really enjoy the swings
P. B.
The park is next to a centre where I do voluntary work. Thanks
n. n.
Nice park to have a great time with family.
D. W.
Lots of play areas for the children, designated picnic area with no dogs, rest of the park available for dog lovers, pond and wild life areas, all day visit, parking is a problem currently £2.00 per hour, meters take cash as well as phone payments, don't know how long for though.
I. S.
Great park. Love to take my dog there and my son. There are small ponds, nice cafe and different animals to see including deers and goats It also has a great playground for children.
P. G.
Great Park. So much to do
C. G.
Good place to spend a day with kids..the only problem is that people don't close the playground properly and kids may go out.there are 4 entrances .
The pool was empty, just hope they can renew and we can go and visit again.the park is overall good and not that tricky to reach,i give 3 stars because of the pool out of service and i saw a pond which is not not good at all for kids to play in that nearbys.
p. a.
Love clissold Park. It was a fave haunt, and I love it when they open the lido in the summer.
S. m.
Lovely local park to which I take my 1 year old son to. He loves the big long slide and playing in the sand. Then we go for a walk around the pond and see the animals. So much variety.
M. S.
Best place in London for a relaxing walk and a place for entertainment for all ages of people.
t. m.
Lovely gardens plus side is the paddling pool the kids had a great time
H. M.
Lovely park and really nice place to take some photos.
M.
One of my favourite local parks to come to on a hot sunny day. However the public toilets are awful, I mean it needs a full deep clean and a refurbishment done. I spoke with one of the park rangers, they said the cleaners come in the morning. Well that is no good, cleaners should be there throughout the day- especially being in a pandemic the toilets is not clean (toilets blocked and no hand wash soap) it's disgusting 🤢🤢
F. J. B.
Beautiful park with lots of great facilities.
P. P.
Cool place to hamg out, lots of good vibes at the skatepark and tennis courts, kick back, chill and maybe...interact :)
D. M. (.
Small park but really nice went there for the first time in years and it still the same except adding in an astroturf football pitch.
Location is great, there's independent shops along the high street if you fancy getting snacks while you chill in the park. There's a library should you fancy taking a book out or take the kids in for a reason, leisure centre across the road if you intend to have a drink two after a sweat. Finally, there's a climbing wall around the corner if you suddenly feel adventurous.
A. L.
Nice park
R. A.
Lovely park, nice cafe in the house. Park has enclosures with animals including deer and goats and a brilliant play area with lots of swings, slides and climbing frames for all ages
S.
Generally a nice park, but can get very busy
It's got 2 ponds, which is a nice change from your everyday "all green" park.
It's close to a school, so there's schoolchildren there during breaks and after school, some have caused issues in the past
The park is very accessible and quiet, none of the roads around it are busy, which makes for a nice stroll around
M. G.
Beautiful park to walk around
U. E.
Lovely park. Nice place to take the kids. Nice play area for kids, paddling pool in the summer and also you get to see some animals.
G. E.
Lovely park with kids play area and plenty of space to any party

Sat 21st Feb 2021. A nice day out to the park, just like many others, the sounds of living - dogs barking, adults talking, children laughing, an ice cream van...
m. s.
Large park in Stoke Newington, sunny, relaxing with a lot of parties during the spring/summer.

I went here for Friends Fest and thought it was beautiful, would liken to visit more but a bit far for me. They have deer, goats and other animals.
B. D.
A family friendly park
J. P.
It’s a good park. Gets quite busy. The baby swings were on the larger side, it was really big for my 9 month old so couldn’t use it. Apart from that a nice local park.
A. f.
I used to go there when I was 4 years old.. it's changed.. very much..for the better.. extremely nice..
X. O.
Great Park very close to the street full of nice coffee shops
A.
Lovely big park, space for plenty of football games, the animal enclosures have been upgraded, paddling pool for youngsters to keep cool, play park, table tennis, skateboarding, cafe, dedicated running path, benches for people watching, and plenty of bins to keep the park clean.
A. P. T.
Beautiful park and plenty of space. The playgroung gets a little crowded on weekends and after school but otherwise great park
Q. O.
Decent park, very hipster very Hackney! Hot chocolate was decent and the live music was good too! Not too big of a park. They had goats and deer and a butterfly sanctuary but this is closed now due to Covid. All in all: decent.
M. G.
Nice place to visit.A lake, nearby church n zoo are all attractive.A Skat n tennis area is also available. A good for an evening jog or walk.
D. Q.
Lovely park in East London. Lots of green space as well as a kids playground. There is also a miniature wildlife reserve where they sometimes have animals that you can go and look at.
S. M.
Very family friendly park. Loads of clean green spaces to sit, great views all around. There's a lovely pond with ducks and a massive kids play area to keep kids entertained. There's also a few animals around so the kids can be quite close to them. other areas include a basketball court and a few tennis courts plus a skating area. Very close to the local shops and very convenient location in terms of travel. Always a great place for a picnic, or just an evening walk.
P. S.
Great place for children. Tiny zoo, pond, large playground with sand pit and lots of swings and slides. Also a tenis courts and area for skating. Nice Caffè right in the center. There's also few coffee shops near by.
N. M.
Love this park, it has everything and walking distance from Finsbury park, even Clapton station is less than 30 minutes walk. Animals, green space, cafe, great kids playground
F. H.
A great park! Children's area is large with lots to do. Slides, swings, zipline seat, sand and frames! Have an enclosure with goats and deer to see. Park is big with lots of greenery. Perfect for family picnics! Located very close to Stoke Newington Church Street which is home to a wealth of patisseries, cafes, bars, takeaways, nandos and an American sweet shop. I would recommend spending some time in the park and a nice walk down church street afterwards for some great food.
A. S.
I had here multiple picnics and tons of walks and lot of runs. It is very nice Park with many attractions.
T. R. J. (.
It's a great park anytime of the year. Lots of green to sit down and chill but also tennis court, volley ball, table tennis, skate board and massive kid area (and benches far away for the mother who pretend they watching can finally chill 5 min 😜)
C. Z.
I love this park, it has a bit of everything for everyone. Animals, playground, cafes or just a green area to sit and contemplate.
P. S.
A welcome open space in urban N London with a superb café in a Georgian House.
M. P.
This park is very cute, even if is smaller, is much better than Finsbury Park. Perfect in the summer to enjoy picnics and sun with friends
B.
Great little park, can occasionally get quite busy given its popularity. But plenty of space to walk around. Good wildlife and deers to sit and watch too.
K. E.
Such a lovely park one of my favourites
J. K.
Really lovely park with something for everyone - walking paths, play area, animals, water feature. One of the best places to spend any day in the city.
L.
In my opinion the best Park in London! Dogs ! Deers! Coffee ! Child Swimming Pool ! Ponds! Duck! Skateboard! Very good
s. “.
Best visited on a Sunday, some lovely hats
P. V. (.
The perfect park for all generations. Losing the cafe in the big house was a blow but the landscaping of the river and the new footbridge kinda makes up for it.
There are great places to eat along the adjacent Church st and a new Sainsbury's on the north west entrance (Green lanes).
Piggy goats and deer (depending on the time of year) and an aviary to boot.
B. H.
Lovely well kept green oasis. Varied areas, planting and seating with an animal enclosure. Well worth a visit, teas and coffee ect available from the restored house overlooking the grounds.
D. E.
Definitely a suggestion... Beautiful park in the area...
T. h. U. u. m. d.
Chris Cauchi was amazing at selling me my perfect tree. Highly recommend going there this year for the best quality Christmas trees
C. G.
Do something different, there are some animals here, even when is closed your kids can still feed the funny goat from the fence. Great park to enjoy a pic nic with family and have a walk. There is a super cool playground for kids with a nice skate park aside.
V. I. M.
Nice park cemetery a few people were around and a lot of dog walkers. The area around it very pleasant and a few amazing bars and restaurants trendy shops on a very busy street.
A. R.
As with any London park this can be very crowded. With lockdown the problem is highlighted in April 2021 as an outdoor venue for meeting up being very crowded and difficult to keep covid separation. There are a lot of runners who brush past you breathing heavily so if you are worried wear a mask. There is a small zoo which attracts a lot of families. Toilets are available in the park or nearby. There are plenty of bins to dispose of rubbish. A variety of supermarkets and restaurants border the park so food and drink is not an issue.
L. K. M.
Well maintained, large open space to sit and watch the world go by.
Y.
I love this park, the animal enclosure is a sight for kids.
This park is clean and safe with lots to do
A. W.
I like Clissold Park but hadn't been in years. Really enjoyed it although must say the place was heaving, particularly around the excellent children's play park (still suitable for my 7 year old... but my older children did get so much out of it). There's a paddling pool - not huge but good for toddlers if I remember well. There's a little aviary and some deers for kids to look at. Lovely!
M.
Nice little park with enclosed animals
I. S.
Park of my childhood. I was a pupil of William Patten until 1965 and moved away in 1966. I still visit the park when I am in the area and it holds many happy memories. I used to love the Stoke Newington Show ? held in the park before Hackney swallowed up the old borough. Interesting to see my old childhood haunts gradually getting "gentrified" by people who wouldn't have come within 5 miles of it 25 years ago😉 Keep Clissold Park special.
s. f.
Awesome lil skate park. 2 bowls, friendly people. Great playground next door, go see the deer, birds and goats too.
r. a.
I love open spaces and the view of the park, where there are lots of nice places, to visit .
G. J.
The best park in Hackney. Very clean, cool animals and lots of place.
P. L.
A really nice park to chill with a picnic and is actually clean.
B. M.
Large municipal park, with plenty of open space to enjoy. A godsend during the pandemic. Also an old manor house with a cafe inside and a nature area with goats and fallow deer, native to the UK. Highly recommended.
L. M.
Used to be lovely, well looked after, now the grass is ruined, by people riding bikes running all over it, and noticed loads of trees cut down, ponds look awful, can't hardly see the ducks Swans etc, I used to fish there in the late 60's 70s, now that's not permitted.. Time ruins these open areas...
e. p.
It's a really nice park. Very clean and there is lots of space so you can always find somewhere nice to sit. There is a duck pond too as well as a little petting zoo with goats and deer.
D. D.
Beautiful, fresh air in the city, home to lovely animals
B. I.
One of our local parks, been visiting for 8 years
S. T.
In my opinion clissold park is one of the best green spaces in London!!! But I'm a little bias cos i grew up in the flats opposite from I was a baby til mid twenties and love it, it's clean and a good size with a couple of ponds some wildlife and safe, highly recommend that you have a look when in the manner
M. S. H.
Nice local park.
Great for all ages, plenty to do and see.
It's a lovely park to take a long walk in. Dog friendly, no drama in all the years I have been coming to this park.
The kids playground has a good selection of activities for all age groups.
There's a paddling pool, very big. Can get really busy during the half terms and holidays.
Overall it's a great park with many entrances.
Local shops near buy.
Cafe on site is ok.
For those who want to have an evening stroll after a meal it's peaceful. Or even before a meal is just as calm.
Recommend to anyone.
T. P.
Lovely park with lake
G. G.
Lovely park to walk your dog, not a massive park but decent sized. Plenty of lovely ponds and they even have a little zoo. I wasn't able to go in as I had my dog with me but I did see some lovely goats.
I recommend coming to this park and bringing a picnic on a warm summer day.
B. M.
lots of space to walk and run, wide paths to avoid people during lockdown but it does get very busy at the weekends. there's a play park for kids that is and toilets which is great
s. c.
Gets very busy but a lovely park
M. B.
Nice local park with play areas, animals and ponds. There is a running path specifically around the edge of the park to keep the runners out of the way of people walking around the park. There's a lovely cafe in the middle of the park which do a lovely coffee and cake.
K. K.
Great place to go with family. Massive park. With playground, animals, tennis courts, skate rides, Caffè with good food and drink deals, toilets available.
L. A.
One of my favourite London parks. I love that dogs can roam about (I don't have my own). I can cycle through here on my commute to work. I love spending time in this park reading books, picnicking or attending a pop up event. It's always so well kept and it feels really safe.
S. P.
Nice park, with paddling pool and Deer... near to The Castle Climbing centre, The Brownswood pub and restaurants along Church street and Green Lane's
T. O. J.
Really nice decent sized park with a little bar with outside seating, lovely little river running through parts of it and outside toilets - no tissue though so bring some!
k. W.
Nice park, pretty big with lots of grass, had a child's play area, skate bowl, tennis and out door table tennis table. not been to the cafe but there is one with deer and a bird / wildlife side to the park
M. R.
One of London's hidden gems... Popular with dog walkers, joggers and "yummy" mummy's...
S. M.
Nice park with duck ponds, an animal sanctuary (deer, goats and parrots), playground, Clissold House (open for coffee) and ope grassland. Good for kids to run about in and explore.
M. R.
Clissold Park is one of my favourite places in London. The animal enclosures and well-tended grass/gardens, along with the lovely Clissold House, make it a perfect place to spend a sunny spring Sunday
L. A.
Absolutely love this park. Well used by people in Stokey. Lots of people jogging in the evening so watch out you don't get run over. Several sections and activities for different age groups. I appreciate the fact that there are no lights in the park and it's locked up after dark. Also has a number of dog free areas for children to play in which is well appreciated.
K. D.
Great place for kids an adults, deers, sand pit and play park area. Lovely period building cafeteria. Fresh water big paddle pool sometimes open. Lovely lakes, great park for walks, tennis. Love it!
Z. C.
One of the best parks in Hackney. Spacious, scenic and well kept. Kids playground is fantastic, my kids will spend hours playing around here if they could. The animals are the main attraction and thus makes this park different to others, a bit like a farm with all the other amenities of a park.
P. W.
A pretty big park with a mini zoo, sall kids area, pounds, tennis courts. A all-rounder great park for different activities
s. H.
Lovely park with loads of green space to have a picnic. A very generous amount of children playground and a lovely little cafe within the park. On Sundays the side roads are free.
M. T.
This is a fabulous and classy park with water features and many children's amenities as well as a smart cafe selling a good range of quality food. I find I love this park and the beautiful Clissold House. If you take your children they will have a wonderful play experience with the many other children there and don't forget to see the most amazing goats and deer. Many cyclists as well. It's a cyclists paradise as they use the cafe.Quality events are also held in the park.
G. R.
Excelent, really good place for our comunity
C. Z.
Been there with my daughter and she was absolutely amazed about the playground.
We went into a bike ride through the park's nice ways and she also got interested into the little zoo it has got there.

Lovely park. Has improved a lot over the years, but always loved it from my childhood school days. Water area with ducks needs cleaning, but doesn't affect the beauty of nature within the area. Holding my school reunion on a nice day here was awesome.

It's a really nice park. It suits for everyone: children and adults. You can find dears, ducks, goats, nice grass, toilet, children playground. It is super cured and everything is well kept. Close to church street and to castle climbing center. Is one of the best attractions nearby!
A. W.
Love running here in the mornings. The park is packed on the weekends and good for people and dog watching, but not a place for quiet or solitude! Lots of sports and people working out and kids playing. The zoo is small and quite charming. Would love to try the cafe soon.
D. L.
What's not to love about Clissold Park? It literally has everything and it's the perfect place to be no matter what the weather.
There are animals, a beautiful playground with exciting equipment, tennis courts and a skate park!! Something for everyone!!

One of London's best little parks. If life includes an aquarium, pool, this courts, 2 mini-lakes, a cafe , play areas and several large green spaces.
Always busy and safe place to chill with friends.
Tettos and Clissold Park Tavern on Green lanes to buy pizzas drinks etc.
Lovely spot in London

It's a nice wee park with some animals, a few lakes and a kids play area. Lots of prams, joggers and dog walking. Super busy when the sun is out. Great cafe in the middle. Nice venue for festivals/ fireworks. Gates are locked at dusk.
D. C.
My daughter was married at Clissold House and it was a great place, sun shining, bride and groom beaming, guests applauding. The place selected was chosen by our daughter and son-in-law and provided a very happy occasion, with lots of smiling faces. The well kept park offers many different photo opportunities, with plenty of space to wander, a small herd of fallow deer in an enclosure, a couple of goats, ideal for children interested in animals.
A. C.
Very nice park. Check out the lions!
A. M. A.
Has developed nicely Over the years, I moved to Stokenewington the 8Os and have Watched the area develop. excellent place to take the family.
N. D.
The complete park. It's got wide open spaces for roaming and picnics and games without getting overcrowded. It's got manicured garden bits. It's got felled trees and long grass. It's got two incredible goats, deer, ducks, swans, budgies and parakeets that children never grow tired of. It's got a playground that pleases every age group. It's got tennis courts in good condition. It's got brilliant and caring park rangers and the most generous opening hours it can manage. It's got a gorgeous Georgian house for meals and snacks. It's got a clever running path around the outskirts of it that keeps joggers out of people's way and vice versa. it's got the odd festival. And it's got a cracking pub on two of its four corners. Win.
H.
Lovely park to grab a coffee and pastry from one of stoke newington delicious bakeries and walk around the pond or take at look at the deer and goats in the zoo. Great for running too
A. C.
Great park, amazing playground for the kids.
R. A.
Beautiful park with ponds, play grounds, children play area and so on! Just located next to a beautiful medieval church which can be seen from distance! There are public toilets and car parking available as well but not sure paid or free? Enjoy the greens...
R. B.
Ahhh Clissold Park. We got hassled by a terrier called Nibbles and a few rowdy pigeons were after more than their fair share of our sausage rolls. Great for day time drinking and the park is presently experiencing a fairly low crackhead to affluent Liberal ratio. There's goats. And terrapins. And parakeets who are staging an invasion upon native avian wildlife. And sometimes irritating left wing crusties playing fiddles and walking on tightropes. Who are, frankly, staging an unfounded self righteous invasion on everyone. 5 stars. Will do again. 6 stars if the woke brigade p*ss off and 7 if the crack head ratio rises.
A. S.
Great little park with green spaces, ponds, jogging trail, playground and deer.
A.
A very resourceful park in Hackney. So much things you can do to relax with your family.
R. B.
Great green space to go and get some exercise or watch the deer. Also has a skateboarding park, kids play area, small forestry area, ponds and more.
M. L.
Been passing by this park for almost 20 years, the park has a very nice atmosphere in all seasons. They offer a mini zoo, cafe, swimming pool & nursery. Good for a little walk or smoke.
A. L.
Plenty of things to do for the whole family. Nice skateboard park, tennis and basketball court. There’s a big animal enclosure and playground as well. The cafe is a bit pricey but has a good selection, friendly staff and great spots for a picnic.
E. S.
One of my favourite parks in London. Cafe is fab and a lovely place for a wedding. Dog walkers and families are welcome. The rose garden is gorgeous in June.
Summer isn't complete without a boozy picnic here.
R. K.
Great smallish park. Has everything:- Lido, animals, that is Deer, sometimes goats, exotic birds, great enclosed play area for young children and parents, lakes, sports areas, tennis courts, a very nice cafe. A good place to enjoy the outdoors for everyone winter and summer. Also plenty of seating for people just to sit and chill. Only 2 not so good things, people vandalising the loos and they did away with the bowling green, that was a shame for the older park users.
S.
nice park for everyone to enjoy, make a day of it by going to church street for independent cafes and restaurants or stroll to nearby highbury fields. be warned,it is busy even or especially during covid
H. C.
Been visiting Clissold Park since I was born (a long time ago!), it's an amazing place with lots of wildlife: deer, ducks+birds, goats, has two big ponds, a little river running through, a big play area, tennis courts, toilets, a lovely cafe and lots more!! If you get a chance, you should definitely visit!
M. R.
Lovely park, really good playground for kids ,I'd say up to maybe 10 years old, obviously older kids could enjoy as well but may get a bit bored after a while. Good skatepark but you need to be quite experienced to use it, unlike Victoria Park which is good for all levels. The cafe has really good food and cater healthy foods for kids which is good (half a sandwich, small tubs of grapes etc) lovely teas and coffees, usual London prices
M. M.
Very nice medium sized park with a small animal enclosure and a lake and large great areas. The house with cafe and several rooms is great for for a quiet meeting near Stoke Newington - with a family garden that does ice cream in summer. There are often wedding receptions there. The park itself has several other amenities like a small bird pond, kids play equipment, etc, and is popular with families with kids and for jogging and lying in the sun.
s. m.
I love it great place to bring your children you can have a bite to eat, or have a dip in a shallow water when is hot summer is coming so be ready
J.
Beautiful park, very nice playground for under 10's. Very busy on nice weather days!
Cafe is not great for gluten free options. Some prepackaged cakes but nothing for lunch.
B. B.
Fantastic park! Amazing for children (animals and playground), great for dogs (really friendly nice dogs and owners). Very relaxing and safe.
M. W.
Lovely park, good for long walks with a companion or pet. They also have a nice little pond and zoo which the children love. It is definitely a family friendly park.
E. E.
I always go for jogging. Its a nice and big park.
S. A.
A lovely morning or afternoon here..different corners to this park if you want to skateboard, tennis or just stroll around the ponds. Head to café, busy at the weekend but nice coffee, treats and you are feeling flush , perhaps a plate of food. Love this park .
D. W.
Been coming this park since i was a child, lots has changed that I don't like but I suppose everything changes with the times. But this park was and still remains a very special part of my childhood and upbringing .
J. E.
Very big park
Got a tennis court
Skate park
Basketball court I think
Loads of green space
Free toilets
Cafe
Can see animals aswell.
An area where dogs are not allowed
Lido
And a area for kids to play on the operators. With slides swings etc....
Highly recommended for a family outing or a simple trip to the park
G. A.
Lovely traditional park with the added benefits of a paddling pool (certain times at the weekend), aviary, goats and chickens (though I didn't see the latter). Huge field where there appeared to be a sporting event at one end - families playing in the rest. Accidentally came here to kill time and glad we did as there was a beer and food festival here at the time. All in all, the park was buzzing with life, exactly as it should be.
A. T.
This park is amazing if you're looking to get into slacklining.
There's an amazing bunch of people slacking in the middle of the park most weekends.
Been having brilliant weekends here lately.

One of my favourite parks in North London. Beautifully kept open areas and a little animal enclosure bit with deer, goats, birds and the like.
It's always filled with families, and gets super busy on sunny days.
S. A.
In a word, love the environment
K. “. G. G.
Love my local park, chilled out place to walk or take a seat and watch the world go by.
A. E.
This is one of the best parks in London. The park has a character, and its structure is excellent. Although it is not massively large, it is a complete collection as you can find everything there from the lake and playground to deer and open fields.
D.
Lovely open park with plenty of space for people of all types.
Football club for kids on a Sunday morning.
Small zoo, with some interesting animals in it!
Not tried the cafe but, I'd imagine the food would be good.
J. A.
Quite a decent sized park with a children's area with swings, slides, climbing frames, sand pit etc. And has a nice cafe. There is a small kids pool but wouldn't trust it as it looks a bit grimy.
J. E.
Clissold Park is a lovely park with a wide variety of spaces to enjoy all sorts of activities. There’s tennis courts for hire, playgrounds for kids, fields for sports and sunbathing, ponds, benches, streams, animals, cafes, water fountains... you name it! Always a nice atmosphere here, sometimes very busy on a sunny weekend day though.
S. R.
Nice spot to go bike riding, sit in the park chill with mates and even sit down for a picnic, great for kids too as they have a play area, tennis courts and an area to see some animals. There is also a lake there
S. K.
Clissold Park is a gem, it’s massive, it has ponds, deers, goats, coffee and great ice cream. A grand day out :-)
P. H.
Lovely park for both adults and children with playground and animals (deers and goats). There are cafes and toilets, too.
V. H.
A wonderful and lively park, which is very well used by the local community. Great facilities such as tennis courts, skate park, children's playground, under-5s club, paddling pool as well as lakes, a deer enclosure, butterfly dome and organic garden. Clissold House has a cafe and space that can be hired for events. Love it!
L.

I. S.
Clean and safe , with tennis courts , tree bark running path around the park's perimeter , various health groups , rugby and football training groups for young children and a large Mums and Toddlers paddling pool. They also have a dog park for dogs and owners to play in when it's really crowded in the summer.
H. K. u.
Wonderful place to relax and meditate.
J. W.
Lovely. So much going on, tennis and football, people doing self defence classes, wildlife (birds and deer) in large open cages. Dogs, people jogging, people with children. Lovely cafe great selection of coffee and cakes also allows dogs on lead and a place to sit outside. Many trees and fallen logs to sit on or climb with kids or dogs. Large kids play area.
S. p. F.
Very nice park
Love the animals
M. R.
A bit crowned but my kid enjoyed the play area. Oh, there are are deers inside a caged area.
G. A.
Park view cafe is expensive, but good quality food, playground for kids and lots of space for activities. Nice views and lots of wildlife. There's a butterfly dome, birds and animal zoo. Running track, lake, tennis court and a skating area. Been going here for years.
C. C.
It is a wonderful park lots of space for everyone, tennis courts, and a wonderful playground for children.
K. M.
A park with every need available. Lovers strolls to family picnics, historic buildings to modern playgrounds, a splash pool for the little ones and tennis courts for all, maybe a quiet sit down around the large pond or the sweet sounds of the birds in their aviary located near the home of the deers. Plenty of choices for all or just stay for tea and a nibble at the cafes which also sell ice - cream too.
M. O.
This is a popular park for runners, as there are a chip path and a trail section going around it. Large grass fields allows people to chill in the summer. There are also playgrounds for kids and tennis courts.
Z. A.
Very clean, tidy park with lots going for it. It even states why you should not feed ducks bread. Great Park to take the dogs for a walk. 10/10 would reconmend to a friend
T. S.
A typical london park catering for a wide range of users from.dog walkers to tennis players. Some grassy areas have become very boggy in the exceptionally wet weather in winter of 2019/20. But there is a good network of paths and a separate jogging track. There are lakes. Playgrounds. Wild animals (dear and goats) lots of play areas and equipment for a range of agrs. Areas for younger children are fenced and gated. There is a cafe with some indoor seating and on the steps and path outside with a nice outlook across the park. There are separate vendors of icecream on warm.days . You can book.tenis courts and football pitches.
There are Events held here too like a food festival.
Highly recommended. Watch out for skate boarders and cyclists. .
M. G. B. D.
Beautiful park where you can play basketball, tennis and football. Also has a big swimming pool for children with shallow waters specially in summer. Very close to Manor House and Finsbury Park.
M. W.
Love this park.Great playground for kids, but could be very busy sometimes.Summer time there is a open pool for children.Place to ride a bike, run, walk the dogs. There is also a cafe and little zoo with birds,dears..great place for day out.
P. J.
Clissold Park is a wonderful park enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. It boasts an array of wildlife and a lido and has other things to entertain children and young at heart. It's also a great place to go for a run. It's also great to see the dear and the avery when it's open. It is deceptively large also. Highly recommended for a day out.
F. L.
A great park that has it all - my personal favourite. Family friendly, great running trails, skate park, a lovely cafe, animals, close to good pubs and loads of big trees and space for people to laze around.
M. S.
Lovely open space, clean and tidy. Great place to bring your kids to the play area and visit the reindeers
S. D.
Nice park with lots of features. We went mainly to the children's play area that had loads activities for children to get involved in. It was extremely busy on the Sunday morning when we went so this sort of affected our experience. Othet than that a nice green space to escape to.
S. K.
Plenty of benches to choose from, a deer and goat zoo, a lovely stream and a couple water fountains - what’s more could you ask for?
J. A.
Excellent park very clean and always nice. Watch out for the youngsters who smoke weed at the North entrance of the park. My kids complain of headaches so we never sit there by the big bark tree branches on the floor.
A. S.
One of the most beautiful park in London, there are many facilities, like tennis courts, play grounds for children, really very suitable for runner, read your book opposite to the little lake, or in the cafe, and many more, thanks keepers keeps clean. I can not ask more, i love my park.......
S. G.
Peaceful and loads to do.
Free mini zoo featuring: Deer and goats, butterflies and birds.
Lovely little water stream, pond with fountain with useful advice for things to feed ducks (they don't like bread apparently but peeled grapes are good.)
The cafe overlooking the park is shadowed by a classic church. Great location for a snack but can be hellish busy.
An absolute must-visit if you're in the area.
G. F.
Huge and well maintained park with all sort of activities for all. There are grass areas, perfect for relaxing and pic nics. Playgrounds, lakes, swimming pool, animals, cafe, many rubbish and recycling bins and free toilets. Open till late. Just love it!
Y. S.
Lovely park for all ages to relax exercise and enjoy. Have water lakes with ducks swans Canadian goose ..swimming life.
Tennis courts..children's play ground..lovely cafe nice and safe environments.
K. Y.
This park has been rejunavated and is great for kids with a deer pen and an aviary. Lots to keep the little ones interested. Park has a running lane separate from the main routes within the park if you are a running fanatic. There are tennis court, skate board area, paddling pool. What I love best is watching the wild fowls...ducks, geese, swans, moorhens and coots. In the spring and into early summer is the best to see cygnets, goslings, coots and moorhens chicks making an appearance and watching them grow. I love nature, this is Mother Nature at its best.
M. C.
Clissold Park is a park with rolling land scape and tree line alround with two large ponds at low end of the park and at the top end there is a man made river with bridges and an animal reserve and an the old stately garden Home with a cafe and toilets ,nearby is the playground which caters for all ages of children the park caters for running as well as tennis and football and has a nursery within the park . Beautiful in Summer and winter to walk or run .🤭🦋👍
G. E.
One of the nicest and most family friendly parks in North London. Staff seem to keep on top of things meaning it is kept clean and well maintained. Lots of different facilities such as Tennis, Skate park, outdoor child's splash pool in summer, café and more.
A. L. M.
I've been coming here for 20 yrs and never been disappointed. Its clean green and lovely.
M. R.
Lovely local park with cafe in the centre. Quite family oriented with a paddling pool and areas for parents with little kids that don't allow dogs. There's a bowl for skateboarding and a play park.
J. S.
Great in the sunshine, vast park with alot of fond memories and a great place for a jog or a little drink in the sunshine. Park is ammaculate and the staff are very quick to respond to rubbish or any other disruption to the environment. Great for walks and to bring kids to play even great for skating as there is a great community there for people that like to be involved with skating or any other extreme sports
J. W.
Clissold park, shame on you for mostly keeping your toilets shut and reopening when you feel like it.No consideration for the disabled or special needs Adults or kids.shame on you as someone should step in to sort this park out.Goverment did not advise to shut us out of toilets.Badly run park that's for sure.
a. r.
This is a great park. Lived in Stoke Newington since birth so its kinder been my back garden since birth. Reccomend it to familys as they have animals such as dears and a paddling pool. Great place. Staff look after it very well.
J.
Lovely park. Good for walks, ridding and joggers. Has a small a Very and butterfly dome as well as some other animals. Great for bringing children of all ages.
F. G.
Great space with lots to do.
A. C.
Nicest park in London and full of nice people which turns into a giant pram park on hot sunny days. Has caged and uncaged wildlife for kids, a stream, professional tennis courts and a cute outdoor snack/ restaurant.
R. G.
A fantastic day out, great place to take children as there is an open field where they can run around and play games like football /rounders also they have an animal section where you can go look at the the reindeer. They also have a park with apparatus where you can let your kids go and have fun and play with other children. There's a sand pit. A place where you can buy refreshments and last but not least an open outdoor pool for the kids
S. W.
One of my favourite parks in London. It has deer, goats, parrots, as well as plenty of dogs, families and joggers. Great proximity to all of the cafes and shops on Church Street Stoke Newington too
L.
A lovely park, it has a nice pool for when the weather is lovely, deers, 2 new baby goats which are absolutely adorable, and a few other smaller animals. It's beautiful and well maintained.
S. B.
Love this park.. The view while sitting on a bench anywhere is breath taking and all wildlife around you in here must be seen. Which part you may like best will give you a fantastic walk and the feeling you take from it is strength i found.
A. N.
Open spaces here. Beautiful Park.
Children's play area is lovely but could do with more swings. Needs dredging when too much rain has fallen. Gates need to be fixed. Unfortunately some parents don't close the gates so the odd dog comes in now and again. Big slide now fixed (03/10/18) how long will it last?
Skateboard Park is great. There's an inconsiderate guy on a motorised Skateboard that goes around the park at speed, have to dodge him and poor ducklings don't seem to get out his way too quickly.
Cafe is limited but clean and offers a nice place get warm during the wet winter months!
Toilets in the cafe are good but the toilets outside are terrible and never had soap in the gents.
C. A.
Lovely large paddling Pool. Reasonably priced cafe. The animal enclosures were a disappointment with all pens empty except deer and a couple of birds in the aviary. The butterfly house was also closed with a note on the door saying they were in consultation about funding. So don't go there for the animals but the actual park is lovely and large, lovely pond, pretty house etc
W. P.
Great park for a run. Skating area, basketball court, tennis court, cute animals ... You name it
J. w.
Amazing for all playground and animals for the kids and loads of grass for playing football and relaxing
R. W.
Really wonderful park. Great playground and lots of green space to run around. Animals to look at and a lovely big open paddling pool for the Summer months.
B. M.
Clissold is a lovely park very well kept so much open space my Jack Russell has come back for a sleep enjoyed some much 😀
s. o.
Beautiful open space for walks and ponds and streams for nature. Two very sweet large goats and a reasonable tea to be had at the main house
A.
Dog friendly park with toilets 🚻 tennis courts and kids playground. Enclosed area for those who don't like dogs.
R. C.
One of the best park in London for families. We go there every week and I just love it. The playground is excellent, it has everything a child can wish for!
F. H.
ive been going to clissold park for over 40yrs, brings back memories...my father worked there for 25yrs....
N. F.
Lovely green space with a couple of duck ponds, goat and deer enclosures and a small aviary. There's a nice café for hot food and drinks in the middle of the park.
A. G.
Great park in North London - animals (goats and birds), paddling pool, cafe, plenty of trees, dog friendly, child friendly, tennis courts, basketball ring, skate park.. It has it all!
Cafe serves nice coffee and an assortment of cakes and sandwiches. The House can also be used a function - I've seen wedding receptions held there. The park is nice for a walk and has a nice natural running track circling it however no Park Run held here. You'd have to go to Finsbury Park or Highbury Fields for that.
Make sure to come down with a picnic and a frisbee one weekend and soak up the atmosphere.
Y. M.
I always recommend Clissold Park. You can see there not beautiful nature only, but also goats, chicken, parrot ...and lots of more
D. G.
Fantastic park with many different sections. Unfortunately everyone had the same plan as me and decided to turn up as well. Unbelievably crowded for being supposedly still in Lockdown.
J. R.
Lovely park, play areas and cafe... Full of dogs too 🐶
S. C.
One of the best and biggest green spaces in North East London. Great cafe and ice creams. Brilliant Tennis courts, skating bowls, duck-pond and deer enclosure. Paddling pool in the summer time. Huge freestyle playing areas.
R. C.
Nice very sunny and relaxing evening.
A. W.
Great park with plenty of space, a lovely cafe and play area for the kids
M.
I love this park. They even have a little animal enclosure with goats/dears/ butterfly garden/bird garden/2 major ponds and a cafe. The cafe ain't great but it's still available.
P. J.
Huge park in stokey. They also have a small skatepark here (two bowls, one large one small).
A. Z.
This place is beautiful with two lakes, plenty of space to stroll, some dog free zones etc - the only downfall is that it gets way too busy on weekends.
Kid's playground is very well equipped with plenty of stuff to do for kids aging from 1 to 12 or so. Again, I find it too busy, and it can be difficult to keep track of your kids, especially as there are too many exits. Not an issue for older kids perhaps, but with two toddlers it isn't exactly relaxing.
The cafe is ok in terms of quality of food, but is vastly overpriced! Baked goods equally ok, but again overpriced. Much better to bring your own snacks for the kids. The coffee is ok, but the milk is always burnt in my opinion, so the coffee is served too hot. Not a big issue, but annoying for the price. The space itself is great, and set up perfectly for families with small kids. Lovely to sit outdoors in the summer.
E. G.
Family friendly, dogs are not a gr8 as so many little kids etc... so if u bring yours for a walk, have it on a leash. Their is a water, some birds and animals plus in the summer and kids padddling pool.
S. S.
Ideal for families. Not so great in the winter.
C. R.
Love It! 🤩
B. n.
Very nice place everyones so friendly. Things to do with all ages. Has a skate park pitches tennis playground and animals.
T. C.
An amazing, well looked after park with a great community vibe (especially in contrast to Finsbury Park just up the road). I wish they’d do a little bit more work on the running path to make it wider in spots and to stop it getting as muddy/boggy in sections.
R. G.
I is very family friendly there are animals that you can see in the park; there is a Children's Lido that you can take the Toddlers and small children to enjoy.
There are things that you can do to keep yourself amused
I will recommend this park to anyone that lives in and around Stoke Newington.
H. D.
We love Clissold Park. Great place to spend sunny days, grab an ice cream and then go on to explore Abney Park cemetery
K. W.
Peaceful place to spend free time, good soft icecream
L. P.
Lovely park . Good for jogging , tennis , small golf . Quiet reading on a bench . Children’s playground, small animals , birds . Lovely cafe. Very friendly . Good range of snacks and lunches
Z. A.
Clissold park has almost all basic needs a good park should have.
There are kids play area, tennis court for adult and children ,baseball pitch and skating board track.
There is a zoo where you will enjoy the excitement of different animals, birds, and a butterflies dome where butterflies are kept inside it.
During the summer a paddle pool for kids gets busy. A canal runs next to zoo and cafe.
A jogging track is well maintained even during rainy days to avoid muddy surface.
Trees and flowers are in good number to make place look pretty and of course healthy. This park is fenced from all sides and has installed cameras for visitors safety and security but could be improved.
special events are organised during the year specially in summer like circuss and fireworks display apart from those events this park is busy on weekends.
A Caffe is situated in the middle of the park to enjoy beverages and sandwiches and seats are available for park view.
Ladies and Gents toilets are next to the cafe.
I come here most often for jogging and sometimes just for fresh air.
This park is well looked after and tidy by management. A pond on the north east side of the park puts life in park where birds increases beauty of this place.
A leisure centre is situated just across the road from the park and some local food shops and a pharmacy is available as well.
This park has always been good place to visit for freshen me up.
T. B.
A popular Park and can get busy. There is a deer pen which also holds 2 goats which popular with the young children.
s. d.
It's okay of park
G. A.
Friendly cafe if a little expensive. There is an outdoor area for dog owners and others. In good weather there is a large fenced outdoor cafe area popular with young families.
Swans ducks goats chickens and deer can all be seen in this popular park. There is a well equipped playground, a dog free picnic area and tennis courts. I think there's a skateboard area. Growing Communities have a vegetable garden. There are toilets including a disabled toilet with a hoist.
s. d.
I walk in clissold park every day. Clissold house offers a venue for weddings or birthdays. There is a coffee shop which is moderately priced, the food is good. The park has a few animal enclosures one with deer the other stands empty at the moment. Waiting for new occupants. There is a butterfly dome which is open for part of the year. There are several dog free areas. There are lots of joggers cyclists and dog walkers. The park can become very busy. But in general it can still be a great place to spend time.
c. l.
Amazing park very clean
A. A.
Lovely park, would've been better if it had it's own car park. Large play area
d. d.
I never realised how big the park was until I decided to actually go in and stroll around. A lot of things to see. There's also a cafe for people who wanna enjoy the view or for hungry/thirsty people to visit. There's also a mini "zoo". So cool.
L. M.
Great Park for all the family, and our 4 legged friends too.
S. N.
Well cared for and something for everyone. Great kids playground, tennis courts, deer, ducks, chicken, ponds, a track around the perimeter for an approximately 1 mile loop. Minus a star for the main cafe being unrepresentative of the culturally diverse population who come here; they are missing a trick by not taking the opportunity to offer favourite snack food from around the world.
B. F.
Went rollerskating, paths not as smooth as I would have hoped. Nice Park otherwise.
S. B.
Love Clissold park. Its much bigger then it first seems. Quieter then Victoria Park and less posey then London Fields 😉 its a good place to get some sun. Has a cafe and toilets onsite. Good pubs and cafes on church street and green lanes. Its family friendly too
A. 3.
One of the nicest North London parks, always well maintained and we ll play area, adventure playground, a great skatebowl, paddling pool, restaurant cafe, zoo, tennis courts etc etc. A real asset to the area, with some summer festivals and events, also a street food market.
