Reviews of Greenwich Park
J. c.
We parked the car just on the road as it was a Sunday , rain coats and hats ready we entered the park for a lovely walk , have visited this park many times now , such a lovely place to be. Lots of things to see and always a great atmosphere even in the rain. Stunning views for all the family to see and great little places to stop for a drink too . Toilets are 20p and you need to use a card to enter, very clean and looked after well . A great place to visit whatever the weather.
A. F.
Large park adjacent to busy bustling high street with a walk up to the top of the hill excellent views across the river to the city. The conscious of the closing times in the winter as it is the possibility of being locked in the park, you need to be very mindful of the powered scooters that zoom through here with no care and consideration to other

Wonderful Park, Amazing view of London skyline from Greenwich.. Observatory was closed on the day of our visit but the visit was totally worth it.. Fortunately weather was on the brighter side and the experience was superb
S. G.
Sublimely beautiful park right on the doorsteps of the Old Naval College. Do walk all the way up to the Observatory, the panoramic views are totally worth the effort.
M. S.
Greenwich park is a very big park. there is the royal observatory on top and from there you can see a beautiful view of the royal naval college and canary wharf. there is a lot of squirrels too here.
T. L.
Lovely park with iconic views of Greenwich and Docklands. Wander past the Royal Observatory to the viewpoint nearby. Takes an hour or so to do the complete circuit of the park. Parking on the central road.
A. C.
Great fun and lots to learn. National Maritime Museum, The Meridian Line, The Royal Observatory, great playgrounds. Bring the family!

J. S.
Gorgeous views - cafe, planetarium, royal observatory on top of hill with Greenwich Meantime line and amazing aspect of Thames, the City and Greenwich museum and palace.
P. B.
The most beautiful park in London. I used to love to spend the time there. Clean, with lot of different animals, flowers and plants 🪴 highly recommended to visit

Great place for sight seeing, greenwich mean time time, walk, cycling, cafe
M. S.
From the gates that have seen king and queens, and Admiral Nelson pass through to the maritime museum, to the Greenwich time observatory. It's just awesome. Also really cool for all you follow Canadians the statue of General Wolf who as you know won the battle at the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City was damaged by a German bomb.
R. P.
Lovely park with spacious, green lawns. The park is most famous with the prime meridian, the reference point for Greenwich Mean Time but it also has some of the best views of the city and Canary Wharf.
M. U. A.
Home of time. Beautiful park especially in Autumns season. Must visit for science and martime geeks. Good facilities available.
A. L.
Super nice place especially when the day is sunny. Love it!!!
Y. P.
Beautiful Views, and a lovely journey to get to the park. Make sure you start or end via the foot tunnel and come down its so worth it. You'll appreciate the view even more.

Ever wanted to go to the center of the earth, well that may not be possible sometime soon but I got really excited to go to the GM line where the time starts :-). Had some lovely time in the museum, walking in the park and climbing up the steep hill going to the observatory. Made me test my strength climbing the steep hill and happy to announce I did it in one go without stopping, so not as old as my gray hair may suggest. Enhoy the pictures attached :-)
s. h.
What a stunning setting to just wander. The time of year is unimportant cos nature and man compete for visual excellence.
Y. P.
Beautiful Views, and a lovely journey to get to the park. Make sure you start or end via the foot tunnel and come down its so worth it. You'll appreciate the view even more.
C. N.
The garden was unfortunately closed due to a tree falling from the recent storm... But the walk around and the views from the hill are always worth it.
K. B.
This is a very large park with a variety of things to do including deer watching, flower gardens, cafe, pathways, observatory, planatarium and great views of London - although the main hill is very steep (the view is worth it).
R. J.
Beautiful, well-kept park. Great for a picnic, relaxed stroll, or afternoon run. Lots to see and do, ie. The Royal Observatory, Planetarium, One Tree Hill, The Flower Garden, etc. Within walking distance to the Maritime Museum, the Queen's House, or Blackheath Village. Popular w dog walkers and families. A must-visit when in London.
M. P.
Amazing park to walk plenty of places to get a coffee and river thems very close and amazing view of corner wharf
A. L.
Super nice place especially when the day is sunny. Love it!!!

Having walked to and from work through this park every week for 8 years I can honestly say it's a wonderful place. Lovely to have so much green space in London (esp with Blackheath next door). The gardener's and grounds keepers are always at work keep it green and tidy.
The park is pretty huge so there are plenty of areas to explore, great views of London from 'One Tree Hill', tennis courts and bandstands.
It can get busy when the sun's out but so does every park.
M. U. A.
Home of time. Beautiful park especially in Autumns season. Must visit for science and martime geeks. Good facilities available.
J. D.
Lovely walk through autumnal park. Good views of The City upstream Canary Wharf across the river and the 02 downstream. A good cup of tea and mince pie in the museum, which although free entry is now ticketed. Painted Hall now involves a charge but once paid you can revisit as often as you like for the next year. Strolled down to the river where a crow was attempting to get a cygnet to move on. Always something to stand and look at with new eyes no matter how many times you visit.
C. G.
An absolute beautiful park and gardens. The park is super clean and has wide range of facilties such as a cafe and toilets.
The view in the Summer is absolutely amazing and a must for anyone looking to have a great picnic in the sun.
It was not over crowded or too busy like Parliament Hill is these days. Definitely recommend.
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews!

We went to see the prime meridian and along the way walked through this magnificent park. The park was mostly open fields with the option for shade under trees in some places. It had well maintained paved walkways. By the observatory their was a path leading off to a garden that was perfect for relaxing
D. M.
Fantastic place with great views of London, probably one of the best viewing platform in London
R.
One of the best outdoor views in London, in my opinion.
At sunset and sunrise it’s very peaceful and you can see across the whole of London.
Definitely a good spot to visit. Greenwich is beautiful, too.
A boat trip down the river from Westminster is highly recommended.
M. T.
Brilliant - The Maritime museum is incredible. A must see. The hike and rolly polly down the hill great fun for the kids. The Observatory, sadly is a rip off - prices are crazy for a family of 5 - They make it seem like you have to pay to see the meridian line which is a shame. However the path below the Observatory shows the line - which is great but sadly not clearly sign posted. Greenwich is a must see on your London - we used the Uber Boat to get from Putney to Greenwich and back seeing all the landmark sights on the way. £38 for a family day pass hop on and off - brilliant!!!
V. L. T.
One of the best, definitely top 5 parks in London. It has many great and unique places and that's not even including the Royal Greenwich Observatory. In late April you can see the beautiful Sakuras blooming, in June/July the roses in the Rose Garden and there's also a little section of the park in the South East with deers! Also there's a cafe and free toilet! And one of the best viewing points on the Canary Wharf!
D. E.
So many things to do and places to explore! Definitely more than you can fit in a day. I'm fortunate enough to live close to this gem of a place and as usual, I'm late to the party!
Visited the National Maritime museum and the Queens House.
Next time I visit the Royal observatory and the boat lake would be top on my list!
There's a play ground for kids. Perfect for everyone.
M. U.
Plenty to do for a day. Lots of parking space in the upper park and a nice walk down to the river bank. Great for a family picnic day out.
D. H.
I love this place! There are all sorts of things to do here - the Observatory, stand over the GMT line, admire the Canary Wharf skyline and the huge play park for kids to name a few. Accessible but hilly.
M. F. A.
Great place for sight seeing, greenwich mean time time, walk, cycling, cafe
m.
Very nice historic place. Very educational and impressive. The famous story behinds Greenwich line is explained in details. I like it.
S. R. F.
Perfect place to go to relax.
Going around 5/6pm is amazing if you love to see the night city light up.
Can see City of London and Canary Wharf from the hill near observatory.
N. G.
Lovely well-kept park. There are lots of trails for everyone depending on how much you want to climb.
D. G.
Really nice and clean park and well look after, nice passes and plants, and its a good place to go for picnics and to relax, and to take out the kids,
P. R.
One of the best parks of London to visit. Located in the east of London, you need to take the tube to arrive. The park is massive so you need investing time to explore all that offers. Preferently going on spring on summer to have a better experience. The high street next to park is fantastic with lots of eateries and restaurants. The market is a strong recommendation
T. R.
Excellent down time between events. Beautiful open space, great views. Be careful not to miss the meridian line up near the observatory walk. It isn't marked as a big site! I was chatting with a Londoner who didn't know until he saw me taking photos with one for on each side
A. B.
Lovely park. It's perfect if you want a picnic day, there so much space to just sit on the grass and enjoy a sunny day. They had a band playing I think Disney songs when we went in the music stand. There's a cafe there is well where you can get a snack if you want one. Such a wonderful view of London as well
M. L.
The Flower Park at Maze Hill is a little treasure within Greenwich Park. Beautiful flowers in the mids of green grass and trees. A wonderful spot to calm down and to relax the mind.
N. G.
The absolute hidden gem of London! I cannot understand why everyone goes to Hyde park but rarely anyone comes here. The views of the city are exceptional, great museums close by and the Greenwich marketplace is great for lunch. Just hop on the clippers/Uber boat for the price of the tube and enjoy the water.
H. K.
Beautiful views and surroundings! (river, museum, bars, pubs, greenery, restaurants and car park nearby) #cuttysark is amazing too. Must visit Greenwich Park!
C. E.
Finally saw the view for myself, luckily the sun was shining and not a cloud in site, I recommend you take a look and take it all in, just check the weather first. Didn't see inside the observatory this time as it was only half open (Nov 2021) so decided to go back next year when it's all open again.
C. K.
Amazing parks, overlooking London. Have the old Observatory and the meridian line. Really nice day out.
M. S.
Something for everyone! I’ve been coming here for over a decade by now and every time I find something new. Perfect parking and close to an array of different public transportation stops. Perfect postcard photos and wonderful playground for children. Live music over traditional band stands, amazing museums for the entire family, brilliant Pubs in all four corner of the park; gated gardens for toddlers to roam dog-poo free in a quiet environment as well as one of (if not the best) view of East London, Docklands, etc. from the observatory; just perfect for a day out, as long as its not raining!
C. B.
The park is a lovely place for a picnic with your friends, walk the dog or cycle down hill coming from Blackheath.
You can see amazing panoramic views of the Canary Wharf area and also all the tall buildings from Central London.
A good idea is to go up hill and visit Greenwich Observatory. You can also take a picture with Zero Meridian.
The best times for the most instagramable picture is at dusk.
w.
One of the best spots to chill during our limited warmer seasons, many other things around here to keep you entertained and all within walking distant.
Getting here, Cutty Sark (DLR), Greenwich station (DLR/Thameslink/southeastern) is your best bet but if you wanna ride the buses, there are more than a few stops dotted around here which you can catch.
Great.
A.
Great big Park perfect to go to with big group of friends/family for a picnic. It was quite packed with alot of people but everyone had maintained a distance from each others circles which was good to see. The park is kept well clean 👌🏼
A. D.
Beautiful landscape, mesmerising views and wide open spaces.
C. B.
What needs to be said about Greenwich Park that hasn't been said already?! It's a marvelous place, quite apart from the history, the Observatory, the Planetarium etc; the flower gardens, the cricket pitch, the rose garden, the tennis courts, the herb garden, the playground, the boating lake, the deer park, numerous steep climbs, plenty of dog walking space... surely something for everyone?!
I. S.
Great place to spend the day with your family. There is an amazing playground, a small lake with floating pedals and great places to sit and relax or have a piknik. The view is stunning.
R. T.
Amazing park to watch the sunset, I mean in case there was any sun 😁, has a high hill to oversee some of the city, just beautiful and totally worth it.
D. M.
Beautiful Park with spectacular views over London from the South. It compliments those from the North from Primrose Hill. Well maintained with a lovely cafe with plenty of benches outside. If you hadn't already planned to do so, you should consider walking down through the Park to Greenwich itself. Definitly worth a visit.
A. G.
I'd never been up to the Greenwich overlook (right next to Greenwich observatory) before. I approached it from Blackheath on the other side and waa absolutely floored at the view. It has to be one of the very best views of London. It's such a nice park. Incredibly well maintained. Have been many times before and will go many more.
D. C.
Never visited before so we decided to head down there one sunny Saturday morning. Took the river bus from Westminster (warning... took an hour... so a slow way to travel). Park was lovely. Lots of families. Short walk up to the observatory - the view from the top was worth it. Didnt go in (believe was about £16 per person... but it was closing).
R. T.
Beautiful open park with historic buildings and amazing views over the Thames and city. Home to the observatory and really nice cafes for a pit stop. Set over landscaped hills with plenty of grassy areas - lovely place to get some fresh air and get an interesting perspective on the surrounding area
H. I.
Can get crowded especially when the sun’s out but the park really has much to go for it - plenty of green open spaces, shaded walkways, and that gorgeous panoramic view overlooking the Thames (even the monstrosities of Canary Wharf is charming from this vantage point). Personally though I find walking in the grounds of Greenwich University was the highlight. A hidden gem indeed.
w. w.
Wonderful park for a midday walk(or any other time I'm sure).
V. A.
Lovely park! Great place to watch the sunset over Central London.
The squirrels are super friendly and don't shy of coming close to you
R. T.
Great park. One of my favorites in London.
T. H.
Lovely park with superb walks and amazing views of east London and towards the centre.
L. C. F. A. S.
Such a ravishing and massive park. You can visit with your family and friends.
The view from the top is very nice, you can take a view o London city from the top of the hill, at the site restaurants are also their.
If you like to walk then its a great walk to the top of the hill.
Definitely going to visit the place again🙂🙂🙂🙂
D. B.
Great views, somewhere nice to chill out and I bet the skyline looks great at night xx
M. T.
A lovely, big park. It has almost everything theres a boating lake, play area, a cafe, toilets, parakeets, deers, history, a bandstand and fantastic views.
Perfect for a day out.
D. G. M.
This is my favourite of London's Royal Parks.
Stretching from the National Maritime Museum up to the Royal Observatory and down to the flower gardens and deer park, there is something for everyone.
The views from the top of the park are stunning, allowing an unfettered view from The Shard to the west to the Greenwich Peninsula in the east.
The park itself has a cafe and plenty of space for a picnic.
A sloped path allows for those unable to climb the steps the ability to reach the top, too.
The fenced off flower gardens allow youngsters to run around, without being able to go too far.
N. A.
Greenwich park is a nice place to spend some quite time with big open spaces and nice wide paths. Lots of other interesting places to see nearby too.
G. K.
Lovely park, dog loved it at any rate, so that's a good sign.
s. o.
Beautiful park. The views of London are just incredible. There are alot of hidden gems in the park, well worth taking time to explore it. I wish there were a few more visible rangers to curb some unnecessary anti social behaviour (loud music, leaving rubbish behind, drinking to excess)
h. a.
Pleasant, tidy and well looked after - magnificent views can be seen from the top
K. P.
Another of London's lovely parks. I particularly enjoyed the climb to the highest point, I am a cyclist after all. Plenty to explore here but I can't comment further as I merely passed through
G. Y.
One of the royal parks you can enjoy walking around and see views of London’s skyscrapers, deers and feed the squirrels & pigeons. They have cafes for drinks and snacks and sufficient toilets. Lots of families, dog walkers enjoying the park can be seen. Also very close to the city centre & themes where you can enjoy a close up view e too
V. L.
Loved this park and a visit to the observatory. Very peaceful and what a view from the observatory!
m. S.
Nice, lovely big park. Good view to London. Plenty of space in the park to play with kids. Gets a bit crowded in summer. Easy access to many food shops on high Street which is quite commercialised. Overall, a very good place to visit with family and friends.
M. N.
Great landmark of London... one of the top parks with views on City. Do not miss beautiful flower garden.
n. a.
Loved walking through the park with government guidelines on Corona. Less people, beautiful views and tourist sites though closed at d moment. The scenery was spectacular with d nicely well looked after "Green grass" nice place for dog walks and a better option to show friends what Greenwich has.
e. t. (.
Great park. Always had good time there. We discovered part of the park which has a lot flowers - rhododendron. There is a good play park, too. The view from the top of park is stunning.
S. K.
I love Greenwich Park. Beautiful, and a good place to get some sun and some exercise. A few too many people to easily stay 2m away at all times, and <10% masked, but that isn't the fault of the park. The flower garden is lovely. I also always get a kick out of seeing wild parakeets.
R. L.
Lovely park. My kids and me love to hang about there. There is so much to see and do: the Deer Park, the playground, the flower gardens and the old trees.
R. A.
If you’re looking for autumn foliage, now’s the time to come to Greenwich Park.
Note: pics taken Nov 12, 2021
p. d.
A very big green space, with Royal Observatory and Maritime museum, a big play ground for kids with variety of wooden slides.
D. O.
Beautiful, large Park. You must go to the top to fully enjoy the fantastic view and the skyline of the City centre. Go to the Observatory if you can or the Maritime Museum, great places to visit. If you walk 5 mn, you can take the Tunnel under River Thames and get out on the other side of the River. Great Park to take the family out, you will love it.
D. R.
Very fun, amazing place to go with family and friends
Great spot for sports practice such as football ⚽️
Amazing view over London
C. G.
One of the best parks in London. Lots to see and do here. Boating lake, children’s play area, Greenwich observatory, deer park, flower gardens, historical sites etc. There are cafes and toilets here but expect a queue on busy days. Lots of eating chestnut trees too. The car park at the south entrance has a maximum of 4 hours which is not enough time if you want to walk down and visit the cutty sark and observatory. There are parking wardens patrolling constantly ticketing anyone 1 min over their stay. Shame Greenwich council don’t allow longer stays here.
S. P.
It is one of the great tourist attraction in London. The main attraction is cherry blossom tree,it's just mesmerizing the view. Such a nice place. Best time to visit in April onwards where you can see the perfect flowers blooming at Rose garden and Cherry blossoms as well💞. Must visit👍
J. K.
Clean and Green.Good for family day out.Excellent place to view London.
G. I.
Clean park with beautiful view of the canary wharf. Plenty of space even in a Saturday afternoon. Barbecue is prohibited, though.
M. P.
Gorgeous place for a walk with a family, views are just stunning 🙂
n.
One of the best parks in London, there are food stalls and super markets as well in the area to make your day even better 😁
M. C.
Lovely park with landscape of the city.
F. M.
At 180 acres it is a large and beautiful park. Containing long tree lined paths, gardens, a play area, deer park and the observatory. Plenty to see and a great place to explore year round depending on you favourite season.
You will find a lot of history and some stunning views.
There is ample paid parking inside, the roads outside are free on weekends.
j. k.
Beautifully scenic , great park for relaxing or meeting up with friends ,excellent London skyline ❤️ so so much to do and the park leads into Greenwich town where there is an abundance of places to eat and drink
G. F. T.
Lovely! Can only recommend walking trough here. Tip: open the compass app and enjoy seeing the zeros :D
l. ..
Lovely big green space, well maintained, with flat and hilly areas, safe for dogs & children
S. C.
Beautiful park with a gorgeous view. Very hilly of course though so quite a workout to walk around especially if you’re pushing a buggy/carrying kids😂
A. T.
Fantastic place to spend time with family. Kids get huge open space to play and recreate. There are good eating joints around as well.
M. L.
First time to London or a veteran, coming to Greenwich Park on a warm summers day with friends, family, or a date. Come and see the great view of London from a great vantage point!
M. M.
You can see whole london from Greenwich park. Best view☺☺
Greenwich is the oldest enclosed Royal Park, 74 hectares (183 acres) in area, and is home to a small herd of deer. On top of a hill, visitors enjoy sweeping views across the river Thames and Central London.
The park is part of Greenwich World Heritage Site, host to the Prime Meridian Line and the old Royal Observatory, and near the National Maritime Museum. In summer, a bandstand plays host to concerts and the children's playground offers entertainment.
There are three cafés: The Tea Pavilion, with beautiful large gardens; St Mary's Gate Café (with a snack bar nearby in summer), near the National Maritime Museum; and The Honest Sausage - near the Royal Observatory. Public toilets with disabled access. Cricket and tennis can be played.
L. F.
Another beautiful park to hang out and enjoy the views of London.
A. B.
Amazing 85 hectare park London’s largest Royal Park set on the zero degree meridian line with so much to see and do. The Royal Observatory is located here and the FREE National Maritime museum can be found at the north west end just outside the park (entrance from Trafalgar Road. There are tennis courts, flower gardens with viewing points for the 🦌 deer enclosure - no dogs allowed in the flower gardens and the majority of photos featured here are taken here . The flower gardens have have many old trees including a chestnut planted around 1657 found Close to the Maze Hill south easterly entrance. The north easterly entrance is closest to the children’s playground and adjacent to that is the boating pool where you can rent a pedalo for a few pounds an hour (Summer only). Charlton Way has a vehicular entrance with ‘pay for parking” either side of the central road through the park called BLACKHEATH Avenue which changes to The Avenue half way into the park- if you follow this to the north exit you drive (or walk) into King William Walk. At peak traffic times (Monday to Friday 6am to 10 am) you can drive into the park from the Charlton Way entrance. There is a cafe and tea room within the park (London prices £££) and half the park is a steep hill down to the north west side (a very challenging walk up and not for the infirm although if one stays at the south west section of the parks it’s all quite flat). On the whole a stunning park with incredible views down across the Thames and over Greenwich into East London from the vista point by the Observatory.
M.
Amazing views from here and the museum is free for blue light card holders. Wish we hadn't got to rush round though. Lovely park, perfect place for a summer's day picnic, run or bike ride.
D. H.
Such awesome views of London on a crisp winter day. Well worth the short climb. Everything from St Paul's to the latest towers in Canary Wharf.
R. R. C.
I really love this park particularly in spring with the blossom and daffodils. There are amazing views of the city and Canary Wharf. This is all aside from the fact that it is one of the most historical places in the UK let alone the world being the spot of Greenwich Mean time.
N. S.
I love Greenwich park, the views from the observatory are beautiful. Lots of dogs everywhere which is always a bonus!! It's pretty large as a park, there's always new spots to discover, like the one where you can see the deer!!
V.
Beautiful park to take your children. There's a massive play park & sand pit for all ages. Just outside the park u can also hire a paddle boat or go for a walk to the top of the hill to see the dears 💛
A. A.
What a clean big green park! Many spot to sit or play. The observatory ticket is £60.
S. C.
I had been there few times, lovely park also there provide cafe & loo too. Car park can be expensive to pay. Very big park & plenty 9f walking around & beautiful deers & ducks. Luckly saw fox.
F. S.
Beautiful park, easy to find close to Greenwich Market perfect for kids to run around or a romantic picnic
H. D. S.
I forgot how much fun it is to visit this park! Thank you COVID for making me appreciate all over again the simple things in life! Awesome family day out. 👍
H. J.
Great park, loads of space and perfect for picnics, dog walking, scootering and skating. Really good children's play area with a fun sandpit and water play in summer.
J. P.
My favourite place
Beautiful walks,a very big park, fantastic views over london.
Pretty flower garden, & sometimes on a sunday, performers @ the bandstand.
K. R.
Had a long walk around the park this week for a few hours, finishing off the walk along the river by New Cross.
Shame the viewing point was closed (I guess covid restrictions) people still fathering around the barriers anyway 🙄
Big enough park to keep distance from others and enjoy a walk alone.
A. W.
Stunning views, lots of open space, some amazing history and surrounded by lots of lovely shops, pubs and restaurants.
G. U.
when it's lovely weather and you don't mind the walk up the hill, I'd recommend it. The views from the top of the hill down onto London are phenomenal, paired with grass and and edge where you can sit, it's a great place. It also has benches and plenty of space to walk dogs and take the family.
A. P.
Beautiful and historic part of London that enables the visitor to take a deep breath and take in the views. Plenty of space, lack of crowds, lovely views and a great cup of tea in the Naval College tea room make this a special day out. Highly recommended.
A. L.
A superb park with Incredible views of the docklands area. When The sun is out this is the place you want to be relaxing. There are a couple of places in the park to get drinks (will most likely be open after April 12th. But it's a short walk into Greenwich Town if you fancy an ice lolly and drink. It's a pretty big park that has flower garden areas and even a deer park. If you have never been here before you simply must visit! If you head to the top of the park there is a flat area where people rollerskate, cycle and cruise around on Longboard skateboards. Oh and let's not forget the Royal Greenwich Observatory the home of Greenwich Mean Time! It's all here.

This park has always been a favourite, from childhood. Beautiful atmospheric greenery.
S. S.
Beautiful park, perfect for a family day out with plenty of places to discover, climb and run around.
J.
Been going to this park since i was a kid loved it then and love it now. Nice new coffee shop there free parking for disabled and motorcycles and there is plenty in the park and around the park also. People are very friendly and nice place to take the family and the dogs too
A. K.
Lush green grass and trees all around the Greenwhich Park. The Park at one side there is Maritime Museum and ahead of this there situated Royal Naval Academy and opposite of those on the hill there it is Royal Obeservatory Greenwhich.
All corners of the Park there are walking tracks and there was rush of visitors all sides.
P. Z.
It's awesome when it's not busy.
There are a bunch of different routes to cycle and walk. An observatory and a really nice viewing area to see the queen's house and the City backdrop. Also leads into Greenwich town which has a bunch of restaurants and more site seeing attractions. With a pond and swing park at the bottom to take children and have a picnic.
Y. Y.
The park said that this is the best spot in London, well it might be! Huge park, tons of spaces, and most of the time it's clean and tidy.
A. K.
Best place to have the day out with friends and family
A. T.
Greenwich park is beautiful with one of the best views across london, very serene and lovely to watch the sunset.
J. M.
Huge green park thats perfect for a jog or a lazy stroll. There are lots of restaurants nearby in case you get hungry after the walk. Bus stops are at just 5 minute walk from the park.
T. S. E. L.
I studied at Greenwich Uni 2003-2006! I love this area and have had so many memories of this place from childhood right through the present day. I enjoy walks in this area and have been frequenting the area as park of my extended walks in recent weeks.
J. C.
Wonderfully, clean, easy getting about. Fantastic views from Royal observatory.
M. B.
The flower garden and deer enclosure was beautiful and the view was lovely. Only downside is the hill!
R.
It's not as good as the photos look, but it's also a good park. Parking is very convenient
N. M.
Amazing place beautiful area ,so peaceful and relaxing 😁😁
O. R.
This a beautiful hilly park with great views of the City of London and Canary Wharf. Worth exploring in a visit to Greenwich or the Royal Observatory where the prime meridian can be found. Especially beautiful in the Autumn or Spring. If you go in the Spring or Summer, check the rose and flower gardens out.
S. P.
This is one of my favourite parks! I love the grassy hills and the view of the city that the park offers. Albeit the viewpoint is usually quite crowded.
There’s also the Royal Observatory and the Greenwich Mean Time Prime Meridian.
The park includes a decently sized car parking, as well as public toilets. Also, there’s a range of other attractions nearby, like markets or food markets.
E. S.
Loved it! Fantastic place to spend a day with family and friends. Worth to visit and touch some history in the Queens House. Beautiful scenery, fantastic panoramic view of Greenwich at the top of the hill with opportunity to visit the Greenwich Observatory. Highly recommended:)
A. R. G.
Extraordinary place, big green park with a wonderful view of London City. Astonishing! A place you have to see at least once in a lifetime.
J. P.
Amazing place. Lots of attractions out here starting from the Royal Observatory, Prime Meridian, Wilderness Deer Park to Flower Garden. And what a view fof London rom the top of the observatory. A must for everyone in London to visit this park and also Greenwich.
s. w.
Great place can be very busy in the good weather
G. M.
A really lovely park in the heart of Greenwich. You can easily spend a few hours exploring the area. Lots of green space and beautiful views of London. Parking is reasonable, can be quite busy at weekends so it's worth getting there early. Plenty of sightseeing to do in the area, such as Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum and many more. Shops, cafes and bars are all just a short walk away as well as Greenwich Market.
J.
Wow! After a uber boat ride from central london to greenwich, and a very short walk, we discovered this gem of pure greenery and scenery! Fell in love with this place immediately. Go for a picnic, chill out and soak in the views
J. T.
Beautifully kept park, with lots of room for everyone. The park is situated just behind The Queen's House and the National Maritime Museums. Anyone looking to visit the Royal Observatory will also be walking through this park.
R. M.
A lovely clean park to walk around in. The view from the top of the hill is amazing. Great exercise to get up there ;)
D. C.
Very nice place to visit when in London. Good location, you can get there either by bus, DLR or Thames Clippers. A bit difficult to get to the top of the hill where the observatory is, but the views are certainly worth it.
C. M.
Greenwich park is an absolute favourite! Such a beautiful park. We use it for anything from taking a nice Sunday stroll to the evening run, it's got some gorgeous views, awesome history and great open spaces.
K. M.
Greenwich park is tops, it's great for everyone. The only downside is on a weekend parking inside and outside gets taken up very quickly. But if you're prepared to wait 10minutes or so, you will eventually get a parking space 😉
S. H.
Loved this park! Nice place for walk or jogging 🏃 I am going for walk almost everyday as my house is right in front of the main entrance. Gets crazy crowded during weekends!
R. M.
Absolutely lovely park for a stroll, running or walking and playing with your dog. It is really big and it has hills, open spaces and even some ponds in which our dog loves to swim. It also has amazing views of Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs in general. Most recommended if you're in the area and want to take a breather in one of London's green areas.
A. W.
Nice park with lovely grounds. A couple of good attractions here with the observatory and planetarium, but be careful if you need to use the park's facilities.
Only three sets of toilets here and one was entirely closed off for the whole day (even accessible loos) and the other 2 had been inexplicably closed 2 hours earlier than advertised. I thought I would be able to use my radar key (as someone with a severe bowel condition), but none of the toilets had radar key access.
In this day and age when disabilities are supposed to be more accommodated, I find this to be a disgraceful oversight from the park's owners.
M. L.
A beautiful park that stretches from historic Greenwich up to Blackheath, overlooking the Maritime museum and Queen's House, and of course great views of the river Thames. Excellent cafés, restaurants, and pubs near at hand in Greenwich.
A. W.
Lovely park. Great place to start a marathon
L. W.
It's hard work climbing up to the observatory, but it's so worth it - incredible views.
L. T.
My favorite park in London. Historic and yet modern. Big open spaces and a great view to London Canary wharf. Maritime museum and planetarium are an amazing plus!
L. S.
Beautiful big park, with amazing viewing. Like to do long walk there.

J. E.
Good weather. Perfect views. Lovely walk. One should do the trip there. Totally worth it
F. G.
I went there with the idea that I will take loads of pictures but because of a lovely weather I sit down on the grass and fall asleep for an hour. I still managed to take some pictures but didn't have the chance to try all the settings that I wanted
S.
Beautiful Park with a great viewpoint. You can take incredible pictures from the top of the hill.
T. S.
Great views of London’s skyline😍
S.
Full of enjoying life people 😍😍😍.
A few places to get some coffee/icecream are open, no problem with the bathrooms as well except a queue.
P. K.
A beautiful park, full of history and different landscapes. The rose garden is a must - and the views of London are amazing. If you are lucky to visit during April, don't forget the cherry trees.

Fantastic park whatever your age or what you want the park for! Kids have an awesome play park, including incredible sand pits, my niece and nephews could have played for days! Great for a stroll, picnic, boating on the little lake! A shame the cafes are so overly priced but it always is in parks!
B. M.
One of the most unique points to view London from South, and witness beautiful sunset...
o. e.
Very big to have a long walk and enough space for your dogs to run wild, be careful though so they don't get lost🙂
E. B.
My favourite park in London, beautiful gardens, iconic horizon overlooking the Thames and the city, parking available and easy walking access to Greenwich market at the bottom of the park. A park not to be missed.
S. s.
One of the nicest parks in london. Views are great, Deer are kept in the grounds to view. Flower Gardens are spectacular. The museums are not open yet. But it's still a great space to chill out in.
V. T.
The best place in London to see cherry blossoms. Great view of the Canary Wharf. A newly renovated children's playground with water and sand play. And just several big lawn area for picnic and all kinds of outdoor activities. One of the highlights that make Greenwich the best areas in London to visit and to live in. A 5-star park for sure.
O. S.
Hilly Park with stunning views of London, can see great sunsets starting from May onwards until September from lawn next to observatory, otherwise you can go to left side of the park during the rest of the year. At the back of the park, closer to Blackheath there is deer sanctuary and beautiful pond
J. P.
Clean spacious and great views , ample parking aswell
L. F.
Excellent place for a walk. Well maintained and plenty of Historical spots to read about when there. Recommend
M. F.
A favourite of mine. Lots of interesting and educational surrounding sites in a historical town with plenty of eateries to satisfy every man woman child
P. G.
Beautiful park great place to take a relaxing walk.
D. T.
Amazing park. It is one of the biggest parks in London. Perfect to grab a lunch from the Greenwich Market and have a picnic here on the hill, facing back to Canary Wharf and the Trinity Music College. Be aware that you'll need to pay using contactless for the toilets though.
f. j.
Lovely open space.. very good views of London depending on where u sit.. and of king Edward Vlll Palace.. make sure u go right to the top of the hill..
M. N.
Amazing views. Paid parking had a few spaces when I arrived at 14.00 hrs and lots of free parking after 18.00
Expensive. Ł2.50 per hour...
S. C.
Nice views of London from there.
I reccommend to take a Cruise from one of the London piere. It's nice way to get here.
C. P.
I like the park very much. Me and a deer here became friends, we used to hang around together every day until he left the brotherhood to chase Daisy the Duck. It true boys, in the end all good guys get conquered by a evil female who disconnects them with their friends. 10/10 will recommend.
A. ..
Huuuge park. Really clean and green.
D. W.
Beautiful views and a fantastic place to take a stroll
C.
Beautiful park with fantastic views across the Thames and of historic Greenwich. Always something to do, no matter the weather with Royal Observatory, the planetarium, and maritime museum all accessible from inside the park. Can get busy on sunny days but the park is big enough that you can always find a peaceful spot to sit. Great for dog walks.
D. D.
Beautiful walk in this massive park. The observatory is about 10quid to enter and was absolutely full of tourists so we avoided that. The Queen's house is very nice. If you are there around noon, check the red ball above the observatory going up and down at 1pm!
G. K.
Absolutely beautiful, Marsha Allah, the layout of the gardens and placement of the planetarium and views of London are a unique site to behold
N. K. J.
This royal park holds an absolute special spot amongst London's parks. There are 2 things you don't want to miss here. The fantastic view of Canary Wharf skyline and secondly the Prime Meridian. It's a photo spot due to the significance and gets crowded. A lovely stroll down the Prime meridian takes you to Queens house and then to Cutty Sark. The park has many exits whist the one exit to the Greenwich High street is a perfect spot to get some food and drinks. You will love this park even if it's summer or winter. Highly Recommended.
G. M.
The park is fine during the week as its not too busy. You can do a reasonably long walk on the paths around the park and enjoy some magnificent views. The toilets have been converted to electronic payment so remember you credit card or means of electronic payment.
D. S.
Great views of London and some lovely walks within the park. Lots of parking spaces but you do have to pay. You also have to pay for the toilets.
B.
I have been Greenwich a few times but I have found such a nice view from the park. The history of the Greenwich was fascinating. The parking was really easy and I brought my lunch for picnic. I also recommend the ice cream shop. The price of it was excellent and the quality was also great. Recommended for a family or everyone who hasn't been to Greenwich for experiencing the world famous place and also nice day out for something different.
H. M.
Greenwich Park was a lovely and calming experience.
The greens and beautiful view of Canary Wharf skylines was just breathtaking.
If you have never been, it is worth a visit with your friends and loved ones.
S. A.
Nice, wide open space by the river, with a few things to do once you’ve exhausted yourself going up the steep hill leading to the observatory. If you ever need a cardio workout, this is the place to go!!
S.
A beautiful park with a beautiful view on London its too nice to have a park like this
A. F.
Fab place, plenty of space and great views. Short walk away from the river and the lovely little streets and quirkiness of Greenwich. I don't particularly like London but love visiting Greenwich 😁
M. A. R. K.
So many things to do and places to explore! Definitely more than you can fit in a day. I'm fortunate enough to live close to this gem of a place and as usual, I'm late to the party
Visited the National Maritime museum and the Queens House.
Next time I visit the Royal observatory and the boat lake would be top on my list!
There's a play ground for kids. Perfect for everyone.
R. S.
Cast well tended interesting variety of exhibits suitable for all ages
H. B.
I love this place, lovely views of canary wharf, classical architecture, wonderful rose garden in the summer, one of London's beautiful parks. No wonder the traffic is awful!
F. E.
Great views, the trees are resplendent in their autumnal colours.
L. G.
Absolutely beautiful haven in our stunning capital city.
G. T.
What a view. Astonishing that it's taken me this long to find it. Get the boat here and you've just got the best day out in London sorted.
C. M.
Greenwich park is an absolute favourite! Such a beautiful park. We use it for anything from taking a nice Sunday stroll to the evening run, it's got some gorgeous views, awesome history and great open spaces.
M. W.
Excellent place to explore x lots to do and see.
H. A.
Went at 8am, was very peaceful we highly recommend going

A very big green space, with Royal Observatory and Maritime museum, a big play ground for kids with variety of wooden slides.
E. S.
Loved it! Fantastic place to spend a day with family and friends. Worth to visit and touch some history in the Queens House. Beautiful scenery, fantastic panoramic view of Greenwich at the top of the hill with opportunity to visit the Greenwich Observatory. Highly recommended:)
X. G.
Understandably crowded these days. Maybe even a bit too much. I found it difficult to "avoid" humans. Specifically around the opened shops and take away restaurants. I barely saw people wearing masks in the street even though the crow! The view though was as fantastic as usual
s. y.
It is one of the most beautiful parks in London. And the view from the top is amazing.
E. B.
My favourite park in London, beautiful gardens, iconic horizon overlooking the Thames and the city, parking available and easy walking access to Greenwich market at the bottom of the park. A park not to be missed.
G. G.
Amazing views in a beautiful and historic part of London.

M. W.
Excellent place to explore x lots to do and see.
L. K.
Beautiful park. Great place to walk, run or exercise dogs. Acres of space and some of the best views in London. Good for differing hill challenges or stay on the straight and flat. Cafes, toilets available.
T. T.
A lovely park with breath-taking views of the London skyline, plenty of parking spaces at a reasonable price.
We paid £3.30 for 3 hours.
The deer park is also very nice with beautiful flowers, if you are looking for peace and quiet in London then this is definitely a place worth visiting.
Also worth visiting is the Queens House, free admission which is a rarity in London itself.
s. d.
The experience was surreal.
There is something for everyone. Nature lover, cafe liver to history lover..
T.
A nice park with benches and the observatory located at the top of a hill in the center. Some old Roman ruins if you look for them and a playground for children, and a nice place to eat take away from the numerous nearby restaurants. Lots of attractions around the area too.
V. P.
Amazing place to chill. Perfect place for rollerblading, picnic, playing games, taking pictures or just relax. I've been here so many times and I was always enjoying. Sometimes, especially during summer a bit busy but walk around and you will manage to find some quiet place with very few people around. Take a bottle of wine and enjoy amazing views of London.
R. S.
I adore to come here whenever I need to stretch my little legs. Grab a coffee and some kind of chi chi pastry ordeal and head to the park and you will not regret a thing.
R. K. S.
Awesome place to visit with family. Place which is historical too. Kids as well as people of all ages can learn, update their knowledge, see what they have studied and also relax and enjoy the beautiful skyline siting the city. People after seeing the observatory, planetarium etc come and take selfies, photos and relax in the lush green park and enjoy the skyline opposite glittering at its best.
In the observatory one can see the Zero line or the meridean and feel elated at seeing what was ice studied in school days.On once
k. c.
A pleasant walk in well kept flower gardens around the lake. The wildlife includes the deer park.
R.
What can I say, wow, this park is a great park and look forward to my next visit when the weather is far better and can enjoy a picnic while taking in the amazing views of the city
S. a. C.
It's a beautiful and huge park with amazing views. One of best park in London. Royal Observatory of Greenwich, Greenwich University, Thames River, lots of cafe/Restaurants near by, Church, Mesuem, Beautiful view of Canary wharf tall buildings and lot more things.
K. Y.
Such a lovely park; there are outside tables at the cafe that allow an uninterrupted view across to London and it's not as crowded as the viewing platform.
Clean, tidy and good service; a variety of tasty food to choose from.
...slightly expensive.
D. A.
My favourite London park. Panoramic views of the capital.
M. C.
the park is so big that it makes you wonder how it is in London. some landscapes that leave you breathless. It gives you some special emotions.
if you love nature and tranquility this is clearly the right place. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
We love to spend our time here. especially my son is very happy. I definitely recommend this place.
R. P.
Great place to wind down and enjoy the nature. Make sure you walk up to Royal Observatory with a view of Canary Wharf and the City.
C. S.
You know, I always consider myself SO blessed to have local access to this Amazing Park.
The views from the Observatory across the river to Canary Wharf are fantastic & also the beautiful archtecture of the Maritime museum.
The Flower Garden, when in full bloom, is intoxicating.
Definately, one of South Londons magical places to visit.
C. S.
It well serves its name. The park is green, full of trees and alleys, a little corner of London where the nature's presence is felt and a short walk towards the Greenwich Observatory offers a wonderful view above the city. Enjoy it! 🌹
K. K.
spring is finally here. With Cherry Blossom trees in Greenwich park.. get there earlier as the parking was kind of full when we left about 1145ish.. big park to explore. contact less payment to get into public toilet!!.
S. G.
Full bloom at Greenwich park near Rangers house. If looking for amazing pics, do visit it. It blooms around 2nd or 3rd werk of April.
S. B.
Lovely views over London. A beautiful park, slight hill but worth the stroll. Some tourists but not too bad, spring flowers in bloom and quiet considering how close to the city we were.
Added interest with meridian line and astromany.
E. W.
It has multiple cafés and a playground for younger people and have lots of activities and events all year round. It is a great spot to see if you are visiting London. It has great walks and amazing views. It is beautiful all day but at sunset you can see the reflection in the Thames River and all the buildings
M. B.
Excellent walk from Greenwich to the park. It is a lovely big open space and a gentle hill to observatory at the top. You won’t be disappointed by the views across London and the city centre. The £16 entrance fee to the meridian is a bit expensive but there is a side gate that you can go through for free and stride the meridian there as we did. Walk through the shop and go see the telescope at the top.
T. F.
Lovely park, looked after
B. B.
Beautiful park with a view of the entire site from the Royal Observatory.
You can visit the historic Prime Meridian of the World - Longitude 0º, and have one foot on each hemisphere. But it's extremely busy, specifically on weekends.
For something quieter, don't miss the beautiful Flower Garden,a perfect picnic spot.
The Pavilion Cafe is great. Pastries, Burgers, Pizzas. They have them all.
W. O.
The oldest enclosed Royal Park. I visited for the first tike last weekend and omg was it a sight. So peaceful and tranquil test bustling with life (obviously keeping 2m away from others). There is a lovely view of the city atop the hills just beware gravity does pull you down if you decide to camp uphill😁
G. G.
A paradise for all lovers of science. My visit was so much worth it.
N. C.
Very beautiful and stunning view!! Lovely park that gets you closer to nature. A must visit destination.
M. G.
One of the best parks in London. I go there almost everyday for my sports. Also perfect for a first date - beautiful flowers, trees and views of London from the top of the hill if you want to impress him/her.
J. B.
Enjoy every time I'm here. Hours can go by gazing the spectacular views. Great place to spend time outdoors with family and friends. The deer are a great sight too. Remember to take monkey nuts for the eagerly anticipating squirrels.
D. H.
Greenwich park always a lovely place to visit. This year the gardener's have excelled themselves. My only gripe, and it is a small one. No little placards to say what plants have been used in the beds. Each bed could be adapted on a smaller scale to suit anyone's garden.
A. C.
One of my favourite parks. Always beautiful views in any weather.
N. H.
Lovely park with loads of space.
F. D.
Lovely park quite large, lots of walking around the green. You can find there the observatory the pavilion tea house the Flamsteed house and the Peter Harrison Planetarium. There is also a wildlife centre and the flower garden with a lake.
J. L.
The park is huge. Toilets could do with a regular check or have someone to monitor how many people goes in.
Big car park which you have to pay and display.
Would have been nice to have some map around the place so you can see where you are going. I advise to take a photo of the map which is by the car park entrance.
Overall it’s big spacious and have lovely flowers.
Bring some monkey nuts in case you see squirrels.
J.
Nice view of London. Lots of people come to see the view at the top. There is quite a gradient to steep hill to get to the top!
A. H.
Royal Borough of Greenwich takes good care of all their parks. It is kept very clean and well presented. Here is a picture on two snowmen.
K. G.
Visited this place on the first of January! It was very crowded maybe because of the holiday season but it was a very nice experience! The place has a very pleasant vibe and I loved spending time there! We were at the place for over 2 hours and enjoyed thoroughly! Standing on the prime meridian does feel really cool and it’s quite literally being in the eastern and Western Hemisphere at the same time! One doesn’t necessarily have to enter the place to see the prime meridian and pay a fee and can stand on the meridian right outside the observatory too!
S. w.
Always loved Greenwich park and now my kids are enjoying it too. Great gardens and views, lots of hills for the kids to roll on and mine love the spectacular trees for climbing in the flower gardens. Well kept and other visitors seem to be taking care of their own rubbish unlike other places
J. T.
One of my favourite parks in London. The view from the Royal observatory is very nice and relaxing. Over looking at the city of London, Canary Wharf, and the river. The park has a rose garden, a flower garden, a pond, a playground, a tennis court, and you can see deers at the back of the park. I love being in this place. Great for walking.
n. a.
Beautiful Park. My most favourite to go. Always a pleasure to visit. Free Therapy!
J.
The best views in London, hands down.
K. B.
Incredible views from the observatory and worth the steep climb to the viewing area. Lovely park, just really busy, particularly at the entrances. But that's Greenwich.
C. B.
First time there ; arrived by boat from London. The park is massive and well kept. The walk to Greenwich observatory is a must done.Beware of steep slope though for old people.View from top over park and part of London very nice.Highly recommend the trip and a leisurely day in the park.Naval museum nearby where entrance is free is a bonus
L. G.
One must visit this place....I had a beautiful experience with the serene beauty of the place
S. Y.
One of the best playgrounds and parks in London, as there is something for everyone. Love a walk or a jog there in the upper part of the park, where there is a lovely flower garden and deer enclosure. Lovely cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn.
O. L.
Timeless view across London. Well worth the walk up the hill.
b. b. M.
Beautiful park for a walk or a picnic, take photos, visit the market, gardens, cutty sark or walk along the river....loads to do for adults, dogs and kids......WAAAHOOOO!!
M. S.
One of my favorite places in London, a perfect run-away from everything right at the heart of the city, opposite to Canary Wharf.
H. M.
Greenwich Park was a lovely and calming experience.
The greens and beautiful view of Canary Wharf skylines was just breathtaking. …
A. G.
Fabulous royal park which offers so much to everyone. This is where time begins and the empire was expanded with the aid of astronomical knowledge. Or you can just enjoy the floral displays and see the royal fallow and red deer enjoying themselves
H. A.
Beautiful views from the observatory hill end. Good place to have peaceful break.
k. c.
A pleasant walk in well kept flower gardens around the lake. The wildlife includes the deer park.
I. A.
Great and fantastic open green place to spend the time with friends, family and your pets.
Y. M.
This park is so lovely. Having an observatory and lots of squirrels it's one of the best places to relax.
C. P.
I like the park very much. Me and a deer here became friends, we used to hang around together every day until he left the brotherhood to chase Daisy the Duck. It true boys, in the end all good guys get conquered by a evil female who disconnects them with their friends. 10/10 will recommend.
B. F.
Great place in the heart of London. Especially nice in the summer when you can watch Cricket!
C. M.
Lovely Cherry Blossom Trees 🌳😍
J. A.
It's great living near the park with great views of the city , music concerts and Greenwich mean time, lots of cultural capital and close to the city
W. S.
Beautiful and clean open space which has something for all age groups. Lovely play area for children towards Maze Hill end of Royal Park. Plenty of bins and clean toilets.
S. W.
This park is absolutely adorable ! I inspired every leaf in trees . It is big and there are some cafes where you can buy something to eat. You can make a pick-nick and spend great time with your friends and family.
J.
Nice big park with lots of history and views of Greenwich
L. T.
One of the best places in London to admire the city skyline. A hill covered with greenery where you can read, listen to music and watch your beloved city while lying on the grass.
M. L.
It's a beautiful park where you can enjoy of a beautiful city view. Is located right next to the Greenwich University and the Royal Observatory, where the Primer Meridien is located. Where you can find some plates stating that in one side of a line you are in the Occidental and in the other side of the line in the Oriental part of the world. Really interesting and beautiful to see it at this time of the year (Autumn/fall).
From top of the hill you can also find a beautiful view that includes the Uni, the Queen's House, the Thames, the O2 Arena, The Gherkin, the St. Paul's cathedral and more.
G. G.
Amazing views in a beautiful and historic part of London.

I approached the park from Maze Hill station, the road leading to the observatory is not very steep, and can be covered in a matter of 15-20 min. Loved the lush green grasses, narrow pathways crisscrossing across undulating land, and trees spread across the park.
View from the top toward London business district on the far side and queen’s house at the front - awesome. I had the opportunity to witness on a near full moon evening.
P. S.
Great view. This park has so many roads. It's good for walking with children and dogs

Today was one of the hottest days in London🥵 and Greenwich park came to the rescue for chilling and cooling off under the shade of lovely trees 🌳 🌳, the toilets were open as well, it was a good day, the views are also off da hook😍
M. E.
This is a wonderful and tranquil park in the heart of South East London. Wonderful city views with a Flower Garden, Deers and friendly Squirrels. It's also quite big
J. W.
I had heard the views were well worth the trip to Greenwich and that was certainly the case! An amazing spot to visit and absolutely stunning. Will be back again when I have more time to visit the museums.
p. (.
One of my favorite places in London. Pick a nice day and go for a sunset picnic dinner would by my recommendation. Sit for a couple hours and explore the park for a couple hours. Take some beautiful pictures and go home.
It's an evening that can't be beat and for a nature lover in the city, this is as good as it gets I suppose.
T. C. N.
nor does it help to think that the middle of the world is in Ecuador, because it is not. Greenwich Park has shown that the globe in half has. with a well-maintained park, restaurant, museum, and unique architecture, they can offer a good afternoon of sightseeing in London
T. B.
This is by far my favorite park in London to go on a sunny day. You have a beautiful view of the London skyline, especially at sunrise or sunset, and you can also go to Greenwich mean time. I would definitely recommend this park to go to for anyone!
i. K.
The park is brilliant, great for a picnic or see the deers, take in the views over London, visit the planetarium/observatory or walk down to Greenwich Village and the museum. One big annoyance however is the parking. There are plenty of pay to park places but most of the machines that are supposed to dispense tickets do not work. A huge problem.
A. E.
A great place for a walk or a picnic. Amazing scenery and lovely huge park.
A. W.
Beautiful place to relax, nice city view. Must visit the park to experience the beauty. I love this place
N.
Love taking the kids here every summer. Such a beautiful park, there is a kids play area with sand & a little boating area! Lots of food places if you get hungry & the park is massive for the kids to runaround 😃
T. l.
Beautiful park!
Flowers everywhere.
Very nice views.
A stunning rose garden (when they bloom anyway :p)
Nice little shops around.
Loads of spots to lay in the grass, enjoy the sun.
Loads of wildlife!
Really a worthy trip :)
N. B.
You have to visit historic Greenwich Park! The playground of some of England's most famous Kings and Queens. With history dating back to the very first Romans that arrived to establis Londinium right through to the present day! Also home to where time starts - Greenwich GMT line and the Royal Observatory. The deer park and rose garden are just some of the other places of interest in Greenwich Park.
A. N.
Greenwich Park is a really pretty Park where one can sit down, relax, breathe and contemplate on issues that really matter. The grass is really soft and is pretty good for sitting, lying down or playing. The place is open so it is ideal for running/jogging and for taking out pets like dogs etc. The air is so pure and fresh that it rejuvenates you and one feels like sitting there for hours.
S.
One of my favourite London parks. Great museums and shopping in local area. Nice playground for young children. Enjoy rides at the boating lake during school holidays. Very diverse, much to see and do.
r. c.
Amazing views across London's skyline, mini Manhattan. Great galleries, museums and pubs close by. A lot of history here.
L. T. L. (. U.
Lovely historic park. Best fairground in London. Great memorable days out with the family 🙏
K. S.
The park is spacious, clean, has lots to do and great for walking, chilling having picnics and meeting friends. Absolutely recommend a day out here. The only negative I have is that the car park has a maximum 4 hour stay. So if you want to spend the day here use public transport
P. S.
Great park. Incredible views of Greenwich and London. Nice little cafe, large playground and deer (if you can find them).
M. M.
This is a beautiful public park on a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are several listed buildings including the Old Royal Naval College, the University of Greenwich and Devonport house. Perfectly manicured gardens and lawns. Wonderful setting next to the river. Good for families, groups and independent travellers of all ages.
G. T.
What a view. Astonishing that it's taken me this long to find it. Get the boat here and you've just got the best day out in London sorted.
D. S. A.
Not inner of london, can see fantastic view of outer london from greenwich hills. And museum by the site, sun bathing in winters
M. B.
Huge park. If you love science you can visit the Royal Observatory. You can walk around and see foxes, squirrels and deers(although we haven't seen one). There are lot of flowering plant and trees.
A. C. C.
Really nice and big park by the Thames. It's hilly, but still very comfortable to walk around. In general, no cycling allowed on most paths. People like to do photoshoots here (weddings, families, etc).
B. Z.
Great area for children, walking or cycling, rain or shine. We come here often and there is always something to do, love picnics in the summer. Feeding squirrels or ducks is always an entertainment for little ones
M. C.
Love Greenwich Park. Even got some Churros. Need a credit / debit card for the toilets bit difficult for my 13 Yr old son as had to give him mine but concerned he can be mugged for it.
R. D.
A beautiful and picturesque park with view of Canary Wharf and Old Royal Naval College in background, postcard perfect.
T. B.
A beautiful well maintained park with amazing views + good exercise walking to the meridian line.
C. W.
My favourite park in London, hands down. The views from the top of the hill are unbeatable.
A. K.
Greenwich Park is one the most beautiful places in London, perhaps the UK. I’ve visited the park in just about every season and type of weather. It’s amazing to see how the same place can take on so many appearances - each different in a way that’s impossible to replicate. The Observatory is a highlight here but also the lesser-visited flower gardens, smaller walking trails and the great tree and Roman ruins. There’s even the remains of an old hospital along the slopes towards the main exit at the Royal Naval Museum. Go in winter at about 5pm and watch the light change over Canary Wharf every thirty seconds.
M. L.
Very nice park with a lot of green space! We went here for day light savings day and it was cool to be there at the prime meridian when the clocks turn back! Lots of green space so it’s good for families. The observatory portion closes at 5pm, but you can still go to the place where the east and west latitude sign splits. It’s behind a small fence.
J. C.
One of my absolute favorite places to visit in London/Greater London. The park is big enough that even with lots of tourists there is a whole lot of room. Go there when the weather is nice and you will see how beautiful the UK can be. The view from the top of the hill is really something special.
P. M.
The park is kinda far from city centre but still very easy to get there and it's zone 2, so the ticket is not that expensive. The park is beautiful and the view is superb! You can easily spent a day there. Try visiting the neighborhood and the observatory
B.
Went with a friend I've been to the park but not the market, best place for Fish and Chips, really enjoyed myself, highly recommend!!
D. S.
Been visiting Greenwich Park since I was a small child. Now I take my children there.
They love it. Clean, well maintained, large open spaces, beautiful flower garden.
The new play area is nice too.
Some of the best views in London while enjoying a picnic.
s. y.
It is one of the most beautiful parks in London. And the view from the top is amazing.
D. N.
Went to Greenwich Park for the observatory, great show and really enjoyed a saner about and such great views
A. C.
Stunning park overlooking London. Local authorities need to add lighting at least on the main pathways through the park.
S. H.
Very nice park every one have to go there they will love that park
h. h.
Had a lovely walk around the park even stopping for coffee. Lots to see and do. Stopped to see meridian line and take photos from the viewpoint although a little misty.
D. R.
I love it here. It has history, play parks, boat pond and fabulous views
C. H.
Wonderful day out. Walked as far as The Ranger's House. Visited the Rose Garden and the herb garden. Weather wonderful. Great post lockdown day out.
C. P.
Beautiful park, amazing views, great for walks and runs, just can get very busy at the weekend when the weather is good
w. t.
One of my fav park in London. So much greenery, flowers, city views, skyscrapers, nature, museum, river, lake, boating, refreshments n many more. Just like fairytale views in cherry blossom season. Love to enjoy sunset at top of the park is my best part whenever i visit there. A big space for parking if u r coming by car. Whatever u say about this park still words r short for describing it. Better to visit it
M.
One of the coolest parks in London for sure. Greenwich park is filled with open spaces, surrounded by history, close to great food spots and filled with markets and people enjoying the greenery. It is a must visit in London, off you haven't, go pack your bag with some snacks and visit this gem.
J. T.
One of my favourite parks in SE London. Quite hilly, good if you’re after a workout in the bike!
K. K.
The future prime meridian based at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, it's really good place for complete family outing nice walk , lots of play areas for kids, there is deer garden also behind this all in all very good for day out
B. S.
A beautiful park with a strong family vibe, and some epic views. Lots of hills and different parts / areas - our toddler loved the play area :) Good car parking (that you pay for if you park in the park), which is next to the Greenwich Observatory, and easy access into the Greenwich centre, market, etc. The park has a few places for food, drinks and ice-creams haa - see photo ;)
W. B.
Well worth a visit, go on a sunny day as the view of London from the top of the hill is great.
H. A.
Went at 8am, was very peaceful we highly recommend going
a. c.
Great park with plenty to do and see. Love the flower garden as there is no dog in there. You can see great views of london as well. Parking is expensive and can be busy at times.
D. T.
a very beautiful and perfect place for a family picnic
L. M. M.
Fantastic park with views of London. Also contains the royal Observatory, Queen's house naval museum, deer enclosure, tennis courts, play park, toilets and cafe to name a few.
k. k. K.
Good place to spend time at week end. It has Queens house as well. More importantly entry to the royal Queens house is free. It is worth a visit if you are at Greenwich. If you happen to visit Greenwich Observatory defenitley visit this place.
M. R.
Fantastic park with views over London. Not too busy. Plenty of parking and it isn't expensive, for London. The Observatory, Rangers House and Maritime Museum provide indoor interest if the weather is bad.
T. D. D.
Great park with amazing views of the city! We came to just get close to the prime meridian line, and found out that there is a gate to the right of the 24 hour clock where you can get a picture with the line for free! No need to pay to go into the touristy museum. After you do that, you can enjoy a wonderful walk through the green surrounding park as well as take a look at the maritime museum. A must see and great place to get out of the city!
n. b.
Opportunity to take some lovely photos here against a London backdrop. The park is lovely and clean and provides a nice peaceful environment to walk around!
E. M.
Massive grounds. Free entry. Easy parking. Good for family picnics but barbecues are not allowed. best time to visit is summers. Be careful lest you shall step into dog poop. Many people come here with their pets.
E. L.
A beautiful park to take lots of photos of the view of City of London including the O2 Area
S. L.
Worth the journey to this park . Absolutely always amazing place to come ! Recently we been very lucky at our visit in April ! We had to see blossoms ! What a magical place from 1month to 99 +years old.
A. M. G.
Wonderful big park, with an amazing panoramic view of canary wharf and London.
A.
Large great open space park.
Restaurant/cafe on sight; as well as a museum.
Excellent playground with swings, slides, climbing frames, sandpits and waterfalls for kids to play with. P.s. bring change of clothes if kids are going to the playground as it can get very messy with sand and water combined! Haha
K. Y.
Really amazing park. But, it is very far from central London. It has a rose garden inside. Also prime meridian is present there inside the park. Overall really beautiful place where one can go with family. But it closes at 10pm sadly.
M. K.
Chanced upon this place when visiting the Queen's House. The green pasture with kids and dogs playing fetch is just amazing. Talk a slow walk up the hill to visit the astrological museum, take in the view of Greenwich.or just sit on the grass patch and enjoy the weather and view.
M. S.
A very large and green park. Perfect for a day walk. Has a great view from the top of the hill.
S. S.
A lovely park for a day out definitely can spend a whole day here its massive and local things to look at in Greenwich.
T. R.
Brilliant place for tourists and Londoners to visit... So much things to see in terms of knowledge and Art... Then modern dining and remnants of traditional pie and mash in local area... Great for picnics and day trip out.
C. C.
Lovely park, awesome cherry blossoms, ample parking (paid)
R. T.
Lovely park. It's situated on a hill and that's is giving to it a specific character nd charm. Right in the middle of it, it's the Royal Observatory and a very popular viewing point towards Canary Wharf and the city. This popularity makes it quite overcrowded. There are other 2 viewing point, one the left and one on the right which are less crowded. They both give the same spectacular view. The one the left also gives view to most of the south London all the way to the Nine Elms and Battersea area. The park has a big parking, a wild deer park and right near is an area with a lot of very climbable trees. Definitely a lovely park to spend an afternoon.
N. C.
Lovely walk up the hill to probably the best view if London, makes a great panoramic...I did not go into the observatory itself but I think it looks like a worth while visit next time
S. H.
One of my favourite places in London!
Stay below for a sprawling, well maintained park, walk up the hill for the best view of east London- Canary Wharf, the city, the docklands.
Free view point with shops and cafes up the top! Also up there is the royal observatory and planetarium! Highly recommend going!
V. S.
Massive park. Beautiful view of London from the top.
G. O. (.
Large pleasant park to wander around away from the bustle of the city, but with ample site seeing opportunities such as the Royal Observatory, Queens House & the old Tudor Palace and visas over the city. The Cutty Sark is also just off the park.
S. F.
Amazing park. Full of grass and beautiful flowers in spring and summer. Great for picnics. Go for a run and walk the dogs. Great location. Good access from central London
D. H.
Just a brilliant London park seeped in History and surrounded by the maratime museum and Queen's House . Ice skating park over the christmas period too. Feed the squirrels and check out the deer
M. D.
Beautiful in any weather but spectacular views when its sunny. A bit of a climb to the top but worth it. You can reward yourself with a visit to Greenwich Market and its food stalls which are still open.
J. G.
This is a big and very interesting park, one of London's best. It is near the thames and cutty sark and has beautiful views across the city. There is a carpark up the top of the hill so you can get the benefit of the views without walking up if needed. Theres a cafe restaurant at the bottom and a coffee kiosk at the top. The observatory is also here. Perfect place for a picnic or a date 😍🎉💕😋
s. s.
Well kept and huge park. Lovely time to spend in sun!
M. Z.
Great place, always busy, lots to see. Will look even lovelier when spring comes & the flowers are out
A. M.
Really good park.
A lot of beautiful flowers and trees. Nice garden. Deer enclosure.
Great views of London...
Very nice park for weekend walk no matter what weather.
E. O. S.
Lovely for a walk/run/bike ride, surrounded by museums and things to explore. Short walk from restaruants and toilets too. Also disability friendly. Has parking close to the observation deck and Observatory.
Also a slow slope up for disabled and a steep for those who want the quicker route.
H. M.
Nice view... awesome view... very peaceful, next to maritime museum and the meridien observatory. Iconic place to visit. Try the cable car and return via river cruise back to Tower hill, you got a whole new perspective of london!
M. o. N.
Beautiful place so much to see including deer park, playground, coffee shops, royal Observatory, median line, Queens bath, royal tree, sculpture, cricket during the summer, gardens, tennis courts, lovely views looking over the Thames.
C. P.
One of the best parks in the country. It is massive so plan before you visit. The entrance towards Greenwich Park is at lower level and the Planetarium and car parking is on the hill. Don't miss the city view from the viewpoint. It is fantastic for picnics and spending day in the sun. You can drive on the top of the hill but max stay is 4 hours. Enjoy!
K. N.
One of the best parks in London and right up there with Hyde Park and Green Park. Once a royal Deer Park, Greenwich offers incredible panoramic views across London city skyline as well as a home to the Royal Observatory, London's only Planetarium, and the Meridian line. It's a beautiful place to take a stroll in, to contemplate or to even take a romantic date with. It's out of the way from Central London but it's worth the trek just to visit this Park
R. R.
Great spacious park, lovely views from all directions. The Play area for kids, you can spend all day there. Love going there all year round.
S. D.
Lovely green space away from the mania of Central London. Nice walks but can be a little busy at weekends.
S. S.
Lovely park with lots of different areas including brilliant playground, meridian line, deer and rose garden, open space to picnic and play and breathe in clean air etc. Great place!
T. E.
Lovely park. Stunning views. Really reccomend visiting.
C. F.
Beautiful park with great view over the city. Perfect for a glass of wine :)
M. W.
Greenwich park best park to see cannery wharf view and meridian line where GMT time work out
A. P. M.
It was wet, but refreshing. Great views of the city from up here. If you've never been, I encourage you to visit. While you are it, why not get a close encounter with the resident Meteorite eh? Enjoy your London Greenwich Park whether it's a picnic, jogging or strolling. Love life, love Greenwich Park.
M. A.
Where to start! The Queen's house with over 400 years of history , most of it painted. Items carried my admiral Nelson , beautiful gardens and a deer park. The kids loved it.
T. R. J. (.
Always a great place to go to sit on top of the hill and look over London town
N. S.
I love this park usually but this year, summer of 2020, the grass there has dried up. So it didn't feel like the usual lush green park. Probably because of the harsh summer or there's a lack of staff due to CoViD?! Still a great place to get amazing views of the city, to visit the planetarium, and if you walk down the hill, the marine museum, etc.
M. S.
One of my favorite places in London, a perfect run-away from everything right at the heart of the city, opposite to Canary Wharf.
A. V.
Favourite park. Lots of history - the observatory, the naval college, the queen's house. Nature park with deer and green parakeets! The view is smashing if you are at the top of the hill too.
H. L.
Beautiful Park, pleasant walk up to the top to Royal Observatory, where you get a view of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage site and a view of Canary Wharf..
N. G.
In many ways it doesn’t need an introduction - the centre of time with the observatory, a great view over London, next to the hear of Greenwich, Maritime museum and the Naval college.
Park-wise though it has a few gems: the deer at the South East corner which you could easily miss; the neighbouring flower garden; and a really interesting play park which keeps evolving.
The slight downside, literally, is the hill in the middle. This isn’t a park you want to bike-ride in or take an elderly relative for a walk. The smart approach is to catch a bus (a 53) and to enter at the southern end (Blackheath), enjoy the cafe and then exit into Greenwich for more exploring or a ride home.
There are also tennis courts, more gardens at the south west, a cricket pitch and lots and lots of trees.
A.
Lovely park but very expensive cafe.
P. N.
Always loved Greenwich park. Beautiful views of London skyline and great place for walks or picnic. Must explore the flower garden on the other end of the park, it's stunning!
E. L.
Amazing place full of history
T.
I believe are the best free views you could get of London. Even better than Primrose Hill.
J. P.
Can't beat a visit to Greenwich Park. Great view of my home town. See the wind of the Thames, Canary Wharf and so much more.
V. B.
A place where the only things you might want to do is just walking. There is a nice view on London which looked to me very much like New York. I went there on my last day in London and I think It was a nice goodbye till next time.
E. A.
The fascinating view made me feel relaxed and fresh. So lovely🤩
M. N. M.
It was incredibly beautiful. It's worth going. If you want to know many things about the history of navegation in U.K and if you want to see beautiful landscapes, go straight to Greenwich.
Ps: if you get hungry, go to Byron restaurant. It is indrescribably good. If you go in Christmas time, eat the first especial Christmas hamburger.
g. g.
Great Park with a view on the city buildings and the Queen's house. Place full of history and very clean. Perfect for picnics
D. M.
Probably one of the most beautiful parks in London with the best view, especially at sunset 🌅 it’s very accessible as it’s just 5 mins walk from the DLR station and there are many pubs and restaurants around so it’s a very nice location if you want to buy some snacks and just chill in the park. This view is from the highest point of the park where is a platform and as you can see, it’s just breathtaking 🥰 It’s definitely a park that you have to visit if you are in London and make sure you buy snacks and drinks if you want to go to this view as there are no shops around this point. A very important information that needs to be considered is that the park closes at 9pm.
I. D. C.
Lovely picturesque park. Great place to take the kids to for a day out in an historic part of London. Would definitely visit again!
S. C.
Greenwich Park is arguably one of the best parks to visit in London. There are many different places inside to enjoy such as the flower and rose gardens, and the many paths that offer stunning views of the city. As well as the Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory. Beautiful in every season from the Spring blossoms and wildflowers, to the wonderfully designed flower arrangements in Summer. During Autumn the park is completely transformed into a riot of reds, oranges and golds. Even in Winter, the sparkling frosts in the early morning Sun are great to enjoy.
J. S.
Park, trees, walls … what you’d expect. Good sausages and take away beer from the Greenwich side though. Great place for a walk with the dog
L. L.
It's massive! Also amazing to have such a park in central London. Great for family picnics and we can visit the maritime museum for free.
J. T.
Amazing place...some nice views of London 👀
R. A. (. j.
Very interesting place to visit,

Wonderful place for walking ; flower garden ,Rose garden and amazing London view
n. v.
A serene location. The park is quite spacious. Uou have a big park with lots of walking area. If you have a dog this is one f the places you'd want to be at. The park has lots of trees and it is a visual treat esp if you go during the fall.
P. C.
Really lovely place for a walk, a lot of things to do and see. Cool place for photography enthusiasts as you can see the whole city from the highest hill, near the observatory. You can also see some deers inside the park even tho you can't really go that close to them. Overall nice place and for sure will visit again.
R. R.
I've been here so many time. One of the best park in London. Spectacular scenery 👌.
S. A.
One of the best parks in London - a royal one. Tranquil oasis where always a good escape for fresh air and surrounding trees leafs sweet whispering the nature's song
D. L.
Probably one of the Best Royal Parks in London!
Greenwich proudly sit at top of the hill looking over the Historic Royal Naval College (Greenwich University).
This park not only contains the GMT timeline running next to the Observatory, but has great views looking over London and the O2.
The park has a Main Cafe not far from the observatory. There is ample parking, but it can get busy.. plus it’s easy to get to by DLR.
Within the park is a sectioned off Garden which has squirrels and pigeons that are all very people friendly with many a visitor stopping to feed them.
P. K.
I visited on a Sunday during locdown. Parking available earlier in the day - but quite full by midday. The cafe and a kiosk was open for takeaway.
J. G.
One if the best in the world, go and take photos with the meridian line, and visit the observatory. The park has very old trees, hundreds if years old. Than visit That Greenwich Maritime Museum, its free, and also visit the Old seaman's hospital, make sure you visit the painted chapel, it's amazing, and it's also free. Don't forget to go and visit the Cutty Sark, just by the maritime museum.
A. K.
Really nice and spacious park. Walked to the top of the hill and view from next to the observatory over London was incredible.
p. p.
Wonderful experience with family. There's lots to do in Greenwich park.. it's adjoining the royal maritime museum which in itself would take a day to cover with kids. The park has a nice playarea for kids and a small duck pond. The other end has a deer park too. We visit Greenwich park periodically. This time was particularly for planetarium visit which is next to the observatory. The view from the top is amazing.. London skyline mostly Canary wharf O2 side visible but still stunning. It's a great place to visit with family. Pets enjoy too.
A. A.
Great open space, short walk from Docklands Light Railway (Cutty Sark Station). Free toilets at Blackheath entrance. Great views! Deer park but deer were hiding? Flower garden, slightly more sheltered for picnics.
A. A.
Best park in London in my opinion. It’s big enough to feel like you’re not in London but a rural part of the UK. It’s great for running and cycling and has amazing views over the eastern side of London. The park is filled with various types of tree and wildlife making each visit unique. The red-brick mansions and royal houses / museums around the park give it give it that extra wow-factor. Fantastic.
C. H.
Tons to see, loads of paths to take to see nature and points of interests. Overall, a great day out away from Central London :)
A. A.
Nice place in london to enjoy sunset. A bit too crowded but still you can enjoy the sunset.
M. T.
Wow, what a plase. Oh em Gy. So crazzi. I spended like 5 minutes on the grass and I woz instantly feeling like a god. My musslels... my head... my bam... I couldn't beleefe my ice. So chunky, so big. I recommend to everyone and to people. Visit parks. One taym, two tayms - best tayms.
V. V.
Love it, nice big park, enjoyed with my son.
