We chose to go Ridgeway Park instead of pimphill for once and it had more kiddie frames but could do with a 10-16yrs climbing frames in the main park. It has the space for a great park for kids.

The children's play ground has been renewed with all new climbing frames, swings, a round about, a see saw, little rockers and climbing stones. It is for more younger children then it used to befor.It is better than it used to be. Will go again.

Fantastic park. Minuture trains on a Sunday 2-5.30pm. Ride for £1.50 per train ride. Loads of kids play areas for all ages, ice cream van in the heat (who accepts cards and even took euro!), adults exercise area, plenty of walking areas and green areas. Tennis courts also in park also.

A lovely park with lots to do. Fun fare on at the moment. Best of all has public toilets which is much needed in parks. Ice cream van always available. All in all a well looked after park. Looking forward to Chingford Fest on 31st Aug 2019.

A lovely park for the family; both young and old. They are in the process of building a new children play area which already looks fab. There are tennis courts, quiet setting area, area to run and play and a miniture train.

The revamp (August 2021) is brilliant. Some lovely toys and sturctures with multiple ways to play - really great job and the kids loved it. (It's quite annoying to park for and get to so knocked a star for accessibility)

AAABSOLUTELY AMAZING BRILLIANT when I went there I was amazed it made me a child again they have miniature trains that you can ride on and yes definitely I went on one beautiful ride I felt free and I'll go on it again when I go again to the park also there is so many different activities to do there which is brilliant

There's something unique and delightful about this mini railway. The track isn't huge but it is still worth the ride. Kids love it and so do quite a few adults. It is open on Sundays mainly through the summer months and if you're passing, it's worth having a look.

Lovely park, had separate play areas for under 7s and 7 to 12, and also a more adventurous area with zipline. Also has a miniature railway but it only open on Sundays. There was an ice cream can while we were there (Saturday lunch time).

Great park. Highlights: dog training area. Affordable tennis courts, good play area, well kept and steam train (for kids on Sunday mornings). Note the coffee shop (nothing fancy) doesn't take card. If you are in the area it's well worth going.

Really nice place to come with small children. I've given it 5 stars because of the model railway which made the visit extra fun, the staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Lots of play areas. You can easily spend a few hours here on a warm nice day. Bring a packed lunch. Also an outdoor gym which looked good.

My daughter went on a Sunday at 2pm and got to ride the mini railway and was so impressed. This park has everything. A dog area that is fenced off with lots of holes to dig. A friendly ice cream vendor, with lots of yummy treats and ice cold bottles of water! Exercise equipment and as well as lots of play equipment for every age.

Everytime we go it's always a pleasure. A brilliant example of men with a passion for the steam engine, passing on the experience to the punters. The track and its surrounding maintained to high standards, quirky little routes with signals, bridges and stations. Even a mini locomotive set to use. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed. Smiles almost around.

The Ridgeway Park is a very well maintained, family friendly park with some great facilities including the miniature railway (open on Sunday afternoons) and the park's resident Ice Cream man, who has been serving the public for over 20 years.

A wonderful park, well equipped for children. A miniature steam railway is open for rides in summer. Waltham Forest council restrict dogs to being on leads in all but a tiny exercise area. Shame, but this is typical of this arrogant council that punishes everyone for the poor behaviour of a few.

Nice Park, it has a playground for under 12's and also has tennis courts. The only think to consider is that they don't accept cards, so remember to bring cash with you.

GREAT PARK - 2 playground areas, age specific, outdoor gym equipment area, structures for climbing, a zip line and large expanse of 'green' area. You can get a coffee/tea in the 'hut' where you book tennis courts etc. Shame it's not a proper café, they would be inundated with customers! We have to suffice with an ice-cream van vendor who refuses to sell sprinkles or syrup as "they leave mess in the van" 🙄🤦 No harm in having a choice, a café won't stop kids still wanting ice-creams or lollies. No-one should have the monopoly on the selling of food at this park. LBWF, why do you allow it to be so? They have a miniature steam train which operates at certain times of year. We have seen long queues but disability pain means we can't stand queuing. We asked if there was a way of booking for disabled people, we were told "No!". Happy to say attractions in other boroughs/counties are more obliging ... my child could enjoy herself elsewhere, without being penalised due to a parent's disability! That's why we rated 4 stars instead of 5 - Shame on the train operator's 'spokesperson' !!👎 The park is looked after so very well by the local authority staff ... the "main man"/ groundsman takes so much pride in ensuring the park is looking good for we the public to enjoy - an enormously BIG "thank you" to him & his workmates, "well done!" It would be nice if there were an area of the park allocated for dog walking, with the remainder being dog free. Whilst owners (nearly) always pick up after their animals, it still leaves mess on the grass. Not nice to see a baby/toddler, or anyone, sit on the grass & find they're covered in remnants of animal faeces. 🤦🤢. We can share without having to be in the same areas, it's big enough.

Every year I go to CHINGFORD DAY - now called CHING FEST. It's an amazing day out, of which It's the main outing i look forward to for the year, this was my 16th year going.. This year was the 1st time it ever rained even though it was only 1/2 an hour before the end.
