Reviews of St Leonards Priory
K. B.My favorite park in London. Make sure to visit the rose gardens in the spring/summer. The outer circles has some fantastic old fig trees. Use your camera 📸- it’s a photographer heaven!
K. I.It is an ancient grave site that was part of a church that was there in the 17th I think.
The land with the church was used up for the black Wall tunnel approach. This part of the grave site is where french hugenot refugees were buried. There's grave stones and tombs still in this green space. It's a mess that has been unloved by the council after being given to them to use. There's people trying to restore the green space but it's not a place I would recommend to go to to relax or for a walk. I would purely recommend it as a historical place to visit and if you live locally a place to sit in for 10 mins as a little break.
Maybe when it's tidied up it might be a place to visit just because.
