Reviews of Davyhulme Park
J. A. S. (.
This is a really Nice park with loads of fields to walk your dog, play football, it even has a skateboard / BMX Ramp It's only small but I'm sure you could have a lot of fun using it. This park has a kids playground with the usual swings, slide, climbing frame with net etc. This keeps the kids happy for hours. There is two small ponds which are well looked after and the ponds have some decent size fish Not to be Caught or Harassed. The park also has flower gardens dotted around with some nice flowers (take a look at my photographs) The park also has Crown Green Bowls with a really nice lawn, Tennis Court and BasketBall Hoops/Rings. Davyhulme Park is a Great park. It is well looked after So visitors should do the same...
A. N.
Great open space for families to enjoy, well maintained , lots of happy memories from playing there as a child 40 years ago.Happy days
P. T.
Absolute hive for the local community of all ages. Loved taking my kids there for many years now, and now most recently the dogs and their walkers community 👍😎
J. P.
Davyhulme Park is well maintained and has a good amount of open space, a pond and one play area which caters for older and younger children.
There's tennis courts, a skateboard ramp, and a newly-installed bicycle track for young children which is lovely.
There's no permanent café but sometime a café in a van is there, so it's always a nice surprise when we time our visits to coincide with that!
P. L.
Lovely park with open areas for kick about it dog walking (do pick up!), tennis courts as nd a formal garden area with ponds and seating.
H. B.
Lovely park. Great kids play area. Beautiful bee 🐝 engraving on a tree in memory of the Manchester bomb victims.
V. G.
Beautiful park to just have a quiet sit down and watch the world go by
S. M.
Impromtu stop on journey to Urmston to walk my dogs - pleasantly surprised by how big with a variety of walkways, different landscapes inc. a large formal pond and lots of trees and very tidy too. Mid winter visit so expect beautiful in spring n summer. Only drawback was no public toilets!
C. M.
Lovely park, but bowling green very poor.
D. G. W.
Nice park, not anywhere near as well maintained as it used to be, fresh flower planting seems to be none existent,. They recently invested in a play area for todlers so gove them credit for that and looks like there is some money going into improvements so let's see what happens next..
Good luck for the future.
R. A.
Well maintained by volunteers. Always felt safe here. Thank you
i. o.
Good tennis courts and clean paths for walking / running.
M. V.
Lovely park but no lighting after dark making it unsafe at night. It now has a lovely lady with a van selling hot drinks. seating available. Near the ponds. Will definitely going back.
D. T.
The perfect local park. Lots of space for kids and dogs. Very well maintained. Even some outdoor exercise equipment.
i. w.
Great place with a community presence looking after it, very nice!
T. P.
A great outdoor tennis facility that is free to use. The 3 available courts are adequately maintained with clear line markings and robust netting on all courts. The asphalt surface is not worn and the perimeter fencing provides an appropriate environment for safe and convenient tennis. Thank you Trafford council.
R. T.
Lovely park. Always great to be there.
D. O.
Lovely as always even stopped for coffee while kids had ice cream❤
R. R.
Nice local park, perfect for taking the kids to have fun
D. B.
Very clean, lots to do, plenty of newts to catch I'm the ponds for the kids. Play area is great and plenty of fields.
j. n.
Lovely clean park. Well maintained areas, with open field, enclosed garden, skate board ramps, ponds and children's play area. Lots of fish in the ponds and newts in spring. Plenty of birds a d squirrels too. The play area is great for kids of all ages. Nice little park for exploring and playing. The dog walkers I've seen on here always pick up after their dogs and it seems really clean.
W. G.
Lovely park, lots of green space.
There is a playground for children, a hard football pitch, some tennis and basketball courts, a couple of bowls greens and a couple of ponds. Oh, and there's a mini skatepark.
Nice place to go for a stroll or a run. Plenty of parking nearby.
r. W.
Lovely place to take our 2yesr old grandson. It has baby swings, & a slide he can go on, plus grassy areas to kick a ball around on.
P. H.
well kept, good play area and coffee truck!
H. G.
Beautiful local park that's well looked after by local groups. It could do with better play and sports areas but this park has improved exponentially in only a few years and does a fantastic job for the community. Really looking forward to seeing how it grows and improves over the next few years.
D. W.
Lovely park, lots of different areas. A children's play area, a pond with ducks, formal planting and plenty of benches.
Trafford's website said there are public toilets but there were not any.
M. R.
Really nice and well upkept park.
r. j.
It's a nice place to sit & relax
P. S.
It's seen better days, but a nice place for a dog walk. Not sure it should be up to volunteers to maintain it though
L. G.
What a beautiful park. Ideal for kids to ride their bikes round as ther are plenty of paths. The playground is well equipped too for toddlers and older kids.
j. c.
Always loved this park as a young child in the 70's/80's. A lot of changes, the bridge, Castle and bandstand all gone. Still a lovely park.
L. B.
Lovely little park but very busy. Both my 2 and 4 year old enjoyed it. Nice little ponds too
S. M.
Nice park with a variety of gardens, fields, sports pitches and play equipment. Easy parking on Canterbury road and entrances on every side.
The pond area is looking little tired and unkempt but apart from that the park is a nice place to visit with the kids or to walk the dog ona nice day.
A. M.
Clean park, great landscape
A. O.
A lovely little park in ready reach of Urmston town centre with its shops and cafes. Nearest toilets are in sainsburys. Free parking in the nearby cat park for up to 2 hours. Nice little play area for little ones which is fully fenced to stop them wandering. Good sized field for lounging or ball games.
P. f. P.
Very beautiful park. Well maintained and well kept. Ideal for small walks, kids and pets. It has a dedicated children play area as well. Parking on road available.
J. P.
Really nice park, good weather when i visited, loads of open space to sit and eat play football. Loads to do and see. Nice little pond area in the center too with a few fish to see and even catch. If you in the area and its a nice day 100% stop by and have a walk.
A. R.
Have always liked this park. We have taught both our kids to ride there biked here. Plenty of space and the play ground is well maintained. There is also a skate park area which the kids ride their scooters on.
G. H.
Really nice park it's always been lovely but the park the actual play part of the park has been updated and has some really nice activities for the kids and they kept the rest of the park really nice and well maintained the only sad thing is the Trafford council have finally remove the outdoor pool and turned it into a play area which is understandable is it hasn't been used for a pool in decades but still it's a bit I'm shame
d. s.
I've been going to this park since I was a kid, and I loved it then and I still love it now. It's good for walking your dog, or playing games with your kids. And it's always well looked after and clean and tidy.
M. G.
Lovely park, it has a pond and a children's play area. Abit disappointed that there were no Koi in the pond as previously mentioned in a review.
The park is well maintained and in walking distance to a small parade of shops. I don't know if there is a car park but we just parked on the main road by a entrance and that seemed fine.
K. B.
I am a dog walker and walk some local dogs here, it's always very pleasant and the people are very friendly. You can park inside which is very helpful for my needs, if I was to be at all negative I guess it's a little small to kill the hour I have but perfect if not a dog walker.
S. K.
Love this park. It has enough small little play area and a larger one so it's keeps a range of ages entertained. It's clean. It isn't very big which is a plus for me as I can see my kids I they spilt up and one is in the younger area and the other is in the bigger area
J. S.
Quite a nice park but wouldn't recommend going near close to sundown as chavvy teenagers hang around there after dark. Great place to walk dogs and watch the fish in the central ponds, as well as that there is pebble art everywhere for you to find then hide for the next person.
S. A.
I had a lovely pleasant time by the pond with my beautiful children. It seems well maintained the parts I saw. We couldn't find a toilet but there could of been one but unsure
J. G.
A wonderful dog walking park with water features, rose garden and a skate park. There are also some swings and a couple of slides, but there are better local parks for small children if you're just after the play area
A. D.
Not been to this park in 40yrs nothing as changed, still a lovely quite park, with tennis courts, basketball pitch, great gardens a children's playground and two ponds.
S. P.
One of my children favourite parks to visit with a good play area and two ponds at the rear with newts and frogs and coy carp fish plus it has a bowling green and tennis courts and basket ball court also a football field and large picnic area brilliant for the kids in the summer the ice cream van parks outside too.
S. H.
Its beautiful, there is a park for the youngsters a pond and a little train you can ride. Its spotless and safe.
G. H.
Nice little park for families and dog walkers, they also have a group that does a great job of looking after the park and make it a great place to visit.
J. L.
Really nice well kept local park. Small play area, large field to play games. Does have a sports court but this is closed and waiting for repair. Nice walk with the dog.
L. s.
Davyhulme park is a nice park that include lots of different things like Davyhulme park under 11's foot ball team training ground,a pond and a child friendly park. You will also see lots of dog 🐕 walkers and lots of other find people as it is a find communit.

Lovely open park, good playground for younger kids, plenty of space to give dog a run. Good community friendly feel. There is small skate ramp, 3 tennis courts, small woodland walk area, and two ornamental ponds in middle of the park. It has recently had four wheelchair enabled access picnic benches installed. There is a little scooter area designed especially for younger kids. Regular visits by local coffee van near the ponds.
