Reviews of Fletcher Moss Park
K. R.
The botanical garden was lovely so was the area around the cafe stall. The ice cream was good but the drinks were awful. We ordered a flat white (which was actually a cappuccino) and a watery hot chocolate. Bring your own to walk with through the beautiful gardens.
That said, the public area has been neglected and some renovation would be great.

This is one the best parks in South Manchester in my opinion, there is so much to see and literally has everything and all accessible.
It connects to the Mersey which is stunning in the sunshine.
I tend to enter around the tennis courts next to the Didsbury Pub, then come out after the amazing line of trees as shown in the photos, but there is a lot more to see than I am saying in this post.... Worth a visit or two trust me 🥰
J. P.
I haven't been here since I was about 18yrs old and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I'll definitely be going back with my hubby, there's so much more to it than simply the gardens.
G. S.
This is a lovely place to go for a family walks. You can spend a few hours or all day here. Bring a picnic or grab a bit to eat at the cafe or even one of local pubs near bye. The only thing is parking you can have trouble finding somewhere to park.
P. S.
Beautiful place if you havent been before. Situated on Wilmslow Road going through Didsbury Village just follow the road round till you come to the pub called the Didsbury which is set off the road as you travel along Wilmslow Road.
Fletcher Moss entance is walking distance just past the pub. As you walk into this beautiful place you will see park benches some have been carved out of wood made looking like little animals that you can sit on. You will also see railings near the park benches & steps leading down to the garden down below. Beautiful trees with over flowing flowers coming down. Lots of beautiful flower beds & water falls in between the flower beds with rocks for the water to flow down. Their is a pond with wild flowers growing in the pond as well. A mallard duck was in the pond when we were there. Bees amongst the flower beds. Sometimes see butterflies too. As you walk along there is a house in the grounds just walk past that & you will see a small parking area as well if you can get parking there too! This is situated on Mill Gate Lane where you can get out onto the road as well. A picnic area is also there where you can sit & reflect some where quite if you wish. Well worth a visit if anyone wants to go! The pub is also a nice place with friendly staff to serve you if your thinking of having a pub lunch. Food not bad either.
You can park your car behind the pub, as far as i am aware its free parking unless its changed since i was last there.
N. A.
Lovely park with different varieties of flowers and trees. Nice cafe with a big food and drinks menu.
Must visit in spring time.
c. F.
A beautiful little oasis of green to explore. On site cafe/Street food available for a warming brew after your walk. Well worth a visit.
a. m.
Great place to have a morning run . You can take our dog for walk. Great cafe with nice coffee. Love this place
F. N. A.
It's a lovely park with a few different routes depending on how long you'd like to walk. We wanted a short walk, and we were more interested in the flowers.. we got exactly what we were looking for. Loved that we could cover the area in less than an hour (was in a hurry to drive back to London). Love it.
D. C.
What a fantastic place to visit. We are so lucky that we get to explore the area on a regular basis with our doggos.
D. C.
I have been driving past this place for a number of years and never knew it existed. It was a friend of mine asked if I would like to go and have a look. Had a walk around and stopped for a bite to eat at the mobile cafe set up as the cafe is closed at the moment. Saying that the food was good. I plan on going again in the spring when everything is in bloom. Well worth a visit.
B. P.
Easy access, nice cafe with good views of the rockery garden for those unable to manage. Range of paths and areas for families, dog walkers and disabled. Parking available nearby and good transport links within easy walking distance. Visited by many species of wildlife also.
s. s.
Great walks and woodland. Lovely river too. Amazing gardens with world wide plants.
T. G.
What a find. Beautiful gardens.. With a large array of different plants & flowers.
Has a lovely rockery garden gated section & woodland walks. Loved how natural & rustic everything is.
Also has a fabulous street food cafe offering a large menu.
M. R.
Beautiful garden, loads of stunning flowers plants and trees to see and admire. There's a decent cafe on-site. Just a shame the paths were covered with puddles in places, due to the recent heavy volume of rain, though I'm sure on a lovely summer's day it would be nice and dry.
J. A.
Good and relaxing place, thought it’d be bigger than that.
s. m.
An absolute beautiful ornamental gardens. Very well cared for and designed . Gorgeous and diverse in every season . Stenner Woods which is annexed to the gardens is a lovely walk through too. The woods will take you to the banks of the River Mersey. The cafe in Fletcher Moss is a must. Great food and drink and extremely friendly. All in all, definitely well worth a visit to Didsbury Village just for this place.
S. W.
What a beautiful park and botanical garden , simply breath taking , some really beautiful plants in the botanical garden area, but of equal beauty were some of the other areas including the covered walkway with beautiful roses nearby, it's just a short walk from the nearby canal where you can walk for miles. The only drawback is the limited parking with room for about 20 cars which at busy times is in high demand
N. M.
Great park with loads to see. You can walk for hours. There is a lovely little Cafe and the botanical garden is stunning at this time of the year. My 2 LOs loved it. We will definitely be back.
R. M.
Great place to take a walk and enjoy the outdoors.
J. B.
Visited to this park last Saturday (26 Mar 2022) and we can already see some flowers here.
s. e.
My first time here and it's really lovely, with long walks along the river and a nice botanical garden. It also has a cafe (was closed when I went as it works only till 4), but I was told it's really nice. I didn't have time to explore all of the park but I'd love to come back and explore it more.
m. p.
It was a lovely place to visit and discovered lots of wonderful wildlife .
T. r.
A lovely place for a stroll with the lovely river Mersey going through it. It is quite close to the M60, so you can hear traffic. If there has been rain, it does get very muddy in places. It looks a bit dead at this time of year, but that's standard. It would look great in the spring and summer.
A. L.
This is a great park. I love visiting. With each visit you discover something new. Lots if families there. Great cafe facilities. Currently have outside catering. Highly recommend going when it is really sunny!
d. r.
Such a beautiful park to stroll around. Limited parking spaces alongside the church but there are options off many side roads nearby. Great flarge ields for people playing football, having picnics, and playing Frisbee. Nice strolls along the river mersey available and a large field of cows which is nice for littluns to look at. Definitely worth a trip here with beautiful sights and dogs are allowed also. For food there is a cafe an ice cream shop and a place to get a coffee as you walk around. All in its a gorgeous place to visit especially on a nice clear day.
m. r.
Great park beautiful stunning, but the cafe owner lets its down terrible people bullied the ice cream lady and had the council remove her so they can sell ice cream. He walks around like he owns the place. Intimate anyone he doesn’t recognise. Never met him before in my life he started me down the first time I was there the spoke to other people saying who his he. He’s a bully and scum
S. S.
Even though it's winter, this is a beautiful place. I imagine in summer it is stunning. My daughter saw the wild parakeets for the first time ever (she's 22!) and couldn't believe her eyes.
s. b.
Beautiful place to go for a day out and take a picnic. You won't be disappointed definitely going back.
Dogs not allowed in certain areas of the gardens so be warned.
L. S.
Absolutely stunning grounds with lots of beautiful plants and trees that look beautiful with their autumnal colours. I will definitely be visiting here again but next time stop and use the facilities for a bite to eat or a brew to walk around with.
R. S.
Beautiful Botanical gardens, with a cafe which had a wide variety of refreshments, including vegan and gluten-free. The paths were well maintained and accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. There is a toilet on site which requires a key code given to you when you use the cafe. There are also local shops and eateries in Didsbury village. It is an approximate 12 minute walk from the East Didsbury Metrolink. I would recommend this for a nice day out.
J. I.
Amazing place to go for a walk.. wellies recommended. Beautiful exotic birds in the tress. Couldn't believe it beautiful green parrots in trees. We has dinner at the cafe. We will most definitely be returning very soon. Even a bit of rain didn't spoil it. We loved it
P. F.
A beautiful garden in Didsbury, Manchester. Absolutely gorgeous gardens, especially across the steep hillside which looks so natural and the wisteria arches. The Biscoff ice cream was particularly special too.
M. H.
Park with formal areas, great cafe and nice vibe. Great for dogs and kids. Lots of history too.
K. B.
First visit to this place in November so it probably didn't show it's justice of the place with all the trees bare & muddy paths but had a superb walk round the area.
The best bit for me was the Rockery Gardens as a very pretty area even in Autumn, there are ponds in the middle with walkways either side with benches to sit on dotted around.
You can walk to the river Mersey along the path and do a loop walk back.
I look forward to going back late spring to capture the beauty of it all.
K. B. (.
This park is a lovely place to walk your dog, its family friendly as there is an accessible track suitable for a pushchair!
Just watch out for floods in the winter after heavy rain!!! There are some cute carved benches and a lovely garden to check out too!
S. G.
This is not your regular well kempt London park. It preserves some of the wilderness that Nature provides in its glory. It has some nice trails to run on or even walk, a rugby field, tennis courts and even an adjacent golf course. There is a nice family run cafe with pleasant outdoor seating. All in all a good place to stress bust.
J. J.
Very idyllic part of Manchester with some great gardens and outdoor spaces. You can do short and long walks around this area. My only criticism is that it gets very busy at times and not always easy to maintain social distancing due to the widths of some of the footpaths and the number of people on them. It's probably better to vising during the working week rather than the weekend.
S. H.
Good park with a variety of features, anhanced by the fact that one can just keep walking out into the countryside, where one soon finds the river Mersey (good) and the M60 (not so good).
T. L.
Amazing walk. Great tall trees.
N. A.
Fast becoming one of my favourite walks. It’s strength lies in its diversity. You can walk around the gardens up near the didsbury entry, walk up towards the M60 past the rugby club or walk alongside the Mersey and take the route towards the city centre via Chorlton/Sale.
As an active flood plain it can get muddy and wet but that’s no bother. Kids enjoy it and the whole area is really well maintained. Utilised the park and area a lot for exercise and well-being during recent months.
B. P.
Amazing park created by the owner with a great passion for plants and flowers. And now it's open for you to visit and see some art exhibitions there.
P. H.
Part of our 3 Parks walk and nice place, Japanese garden and lots a different birds to spot. Peaceful and relaxing when kids are quiet.
H. A.
Awesome park to take a stroll, with a long lake and a bridge in the middle of it. My photos won't do its justice. But would recommend to go and visit.
L. L.
What a lovely place to walk around, rest and have packed lunch... Very peaceful and well kept.
G. P.
It was a large area with lots of different types of habitat, forest, riverside walks, cafe area, tree lined walkways. Very nice. Would visit again.
F. H.
Rally clean and tidy park, great for walking and taking the dogsor walk, lots to do for the family. The botanical gardens are very lovely and a must see
A. J.
Spring blooms on the rockery were beautiful. Peaceful unlanscaped woods with plenty of bird song - we saw parakeets and heard a woodpecker too.
D. B.
This is such a beautiful place, to wonder around, in the woods, enjoy the gardens or simply sit & relax, in the gorgeous surroundings. It was relatively busy, due to the lifted restrictions, by the Government but people still, maintained their social distance, whilst walking about & gave way, for people to pass through.
I must say however, I was quite shocked, about the amount of rubbish, being left dotted about. It would be useful, to display signs, to remind visitors, to take their rubbish away with them, or dispose of it, in the bins. Also, I'm unsure, if there are staff or volunteers, able to go around removing the left litter, nappies etc. Despite this, it is a gr8 day out.
T. A. R.
Great weather for a visit on 22nd May 2019, sunny all the afternoon while I visited this beautiful park. Lots to see, great trees so many different types and colours of trees, I Real pleasure to visit.
L. P.
Lovely gardens to explore with the kids. They look different every season, with golden and red bursts of colour all over the place at the moment. There is a cafe and lots of benches dotted around all over the place so you can have a rest and admire the view. The paths all around make for an excellent adventure for small children.
J. B.
Great menu and friendly staff. Had Light items fish n chips. Just enough for mid day
K. A.
Such a great, versatile park. Great for families, walking the dog, runs or just a bit of peace and quiet. It's massive, it's got a botanical section, a cafe and a river. What's not to like?
M. B.
We had a lovely walk around today, the little girl i mind coloured easter eggs in and hung them on trees. For people to enjoy.
K.
Beautiful park and well worth the visit if you’re in Manchester! So peaceful and mega pretty.
M. H.
Beautiful landscaped gardens, tennis courts, walking trails and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. Wonderful place to come and forgot that you are in the city.
M. V.
Really nice park, varied trails to enjoy and also a really nice place to eat or have a coffee.
A. C.
Lovely place to visit, went off track by accident and walked 1 hour in the wrong direction. The tracks could have been marked better but the place is lovely and today I’m going back to do the actual route this time.
(Limited free parking)
B. N.
Really scenic park, there's a lot of places to sit and relax and a good walking path along the canal.
N.
Had a really nice walk. Got ourselves an ice cream and enjoyed a stroll around the gardens. There are different distances of walk to go on and it's pretty flat so easy going. Good place for picnics too.
E. J.
Fletcher Moss has been a bit of a haven for locals throughout the pandemic period. A coffee van and food van seem to be permanent fixtures now instead of the old cafe. The coffee, cappuccino for me is a good drink. The gardens themselves are reasonably maintained, and a lot of work has gone into the path behind the old cafe building. Not really a hidden gem but a gem nevertheless.
T. B.
A beautiful park, you can walk through the woods to the river, or wander through the rock gardens. There is a lovely stall to get coffee and food.
R. (.
Beautiful park, lovely to walk around. Dog friendly. Lots of benches. Tennis courts. Couple of food vans to get snacks. Plenty of Pokemon Go stops (if you play).
M. Y.
Blown away with this place. Wild Green Parakeets too! Cosy Cafe, super clean but adequate basic toilets. Orchid house in Parsonage gardens.! Outstanding kaleidoscope of autumn colour dazzled by their beauty. The sun shine through the leaves of the enormous canopy of the beech tree was amazing. An unusual rock garden and the biggest Acasia tree I've ever seen. The Croft with its commemorative Plaque for the founder of the present day RSPB. I need to return to this compact magical place with every season. I took some very quick photos on my mobile phone that don't really do it justice... Ps being close to the airport its a plane spotters paradise as they frequently skim just above the trees on their way to far away places adding yet more interest.
G. P. A.
Beautiful place for a walk, run or picnic. Can be difficult to park your car if you don't go early on the weekend. It floods very easily so bear in mind if it rained you may not be able to walk around, however if you wear waterproof boots you'll be fine.
B. S.
It was an absolutely stunning park. Very very beautiful. However, people don't know how to use such facilities. They have left their rubbish in the park although they see there is no room in the bins.
n. i.
Beautiful local park. Didsbury. The cafe is one highlight for sure. Plants are interesting. Walk along the river. A bit muddy at the moment. Wheelchair access may be difficult at some entrances.
A. G.
Great place for a walk and further down you will find a lot of space for a walk with a dog and for a picnic.
R.
A very nice park, well maintained and a fair amount of space to walk around.
G. B.
I've known about Fletcher Moss for over 60 years..the rockery garden is still great to visit and explore but not as well kept as it was when the City council could afford to employ sufficient serious gardeners to keep it in top condition. I guess priorities have change ! The park's open spaces and the new-to-me Stenner Woodland are still great places to enjoy. The Alpine Cafe is great for refreshments. My main criticism is the neglected/ abandoned lawn tennis courts... as a kid I used to play tennis on well maintained grass courts !
V. T.
Beautiful gardens and a lovely walk in the sun Not a lot of parking spaces in the car park though!
A. T.
A little gem of a park, it's small but absolutely packed full of plants and landscaped beautifully. Good to visit year round.
h. a.
Beautiful place but I was unlucky enough to go there with a group that had small children. Don't go there when it's raining (or rained), otherwise you'll suicide your shoes and you don't really want to lift trolleys in the mud and jumping through large puddles - we took the indications from a couple to reach the destination (to see the river).
On a plus side, you will be able to see some wildlife - I was lucky enough to see a fox, for example.
F. C.
Beautiful botanical gardens, there's also a tennis court. A lovely park
D. M.
Looking a bit under maintained at the moment, probably due to the covid situation and a lot of recent heavy rain. Normally very attractive gardens and pleasant pathways for strolling.
J. C. K.
Easily one of my favorite areas to take relaxing walks in.
C. H.
A wonderful place for hangout. Nature beauty at its best and insanely calm place
W. R.
Its hard to believe that such a large, beautifully natural, scenic and quiet park exists within city limits
c. h.
Good time of the year to visit. Not been for some, it was getting a bit run down but seems to be thriving again.
J. W.
Lovely park great to go for a good walk.
f.
My favourite park in Manchester. Beautiful botanical gardens, many different routes to take, a cafe, and paths through to the river walk.
w. g.
What a place, it really special to be here. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into making FMP beautiful seasonally.
A. W.
Beautiful day out park. Lots of flowers to see and some lively walks.
P. G.
Good place to go for picnic with family and friends
O. S.
Very beautiful park, walking with pleasure, enjoying the purity of the air and the beauty of nature!
H. F.
Very muddy in places. Lots to explore and not too taxing on the legs
C. M. C.
Tranquility of nature inside city living . Blissful place
N. H.
Loved going to this park again.very country park. Also has a gorgeous rockery
Z. H.
Gorgeous park! Went in February during golden hour and it was magical.
C. N.
First time here.what a beautiful garden.even in the rain.
D. X.
very petty park, there are some nice restaurants around as well.
E. P.
A wonderful busy garden taken care of by volunteers ,with lots of interesting plants from all over the world ,loved by visitors and locals alike with tennis courts ,a cafe when open ,a rose garden , Also woodland and river walks ,during evenings in summer theatre groups perform and there’s a guitar festival 💖🦜
S. H.
This is always a great place to escape and explore off the beaten track, with well defined walks taking you past fields and the River Mersey and then with Didsbury close by you can pop there for something to eat or drink.
A. D.
Beautiful little spot. Especially in these covid times! A lovely cafe on site with food and hot drinks 👌🏾
P. R.
Superb Botanical part which is a hidden gem and the rest of the park too leading into some wonderful river side walks.
J. D.
Lovely gardens and a great mod afternoon walk around
J. W.
Really nice little hidden gem tbh. It was our first time here but was short lived but were going back to venture more.
P. E.
Amazing place for woodland walks & wildlife photography.
Beautiful botanical garden and outdoor cafe.
Look out for the Green Parakeets.
s. b.
Awesome and peaceful place, you can sit and relax here and very nice place to spend time with your loved ones.
j. l.
Very wet and muddy in winter, well it is a flood catchment area.
J. B.
Lovley park great for healthy walks
a. b.
An oasis near the centre of Manchester. A variety of walks to,choose from. botanical, gardens and the River Mersey
N. R.
Amazing park all year round :) love coming here on a sunday morning stroll
L. K.
Lovely mildly manicured park retaining a natural ambience and an abundance of variety
z. h.
The parsonage has been beautifully restored and the and the sundial restoration was lovely lovely garden to
S. “. B.
Lovely place to walk and see the local parakeets. Great food and drink available too.
S. “. T.
pretty good size Park it's quite clean a nice
to walk around
M. R.
Expected a little more from this park but still a great walk.
P. L.
Great park, best in the spring when the azaleas and rhododendrons are out. Parking not great. Can combine with nearby Parsonage Gardens.
N. F.
Stunning park! Lovely place to walk around with lots of dimensions, flower garden, pond, large grass areas to enjoy as well! The flowers and trees are beautiful!
D. C.
Best place, a variety of terrains, landscapes and routes. 5star
P.
Nice walk, nature has been important to the people here for all long time you can tell
G. R. C.
Lovely place! I love it!
A. R.
Really lovely park with beautiful gardens, a great cheap afternoon out.
M. A.
Beautiful park to see and have a walk through.
H. C.
Beautiful gardens and lovely walks around the woods
P. H.
A hidden gem perfect walking area in stunning gardens
C.
Beautiful park lots of walks too do links in with the river Mersey witch is also great for walking, jogging ect.
K. T.
Beautiful park but can be too many people, sometimes going at peak times, I felt I was walking in a socially-distanced line of people. A good place to go to see (and hear!) ring necked parakeets. The rockery is lovely but they don't allow dogs in there.
S. C.
Very beautiful and quiet a nice surprise. A very enjoyable afternoon trekking through the greenery in the middle of a city. Parking the only issue.
I. G.
So relaxing, just what I needed. Lovely cafe and staff.... Was my favourite place with my daughter 23 years ago... Me, my lovely baby and Fletcher moss 💕
S. B.
Lived in Didsbury all my life. I've been going to Fletcher Moss park and the Rockery since I was little with my Dad. I went yesterday with my little one. Special place.
H. G.
Lovely walk but gets quite busy in the afternoon. If you are driving there are plenty of streets to park down or on the high street. I tend to park by the Didsbury house hotel. The gardens are gorgeous in the summer and there are plenty of places to set up for a semi-private picnic. It will get quite muddy by the canal in the winter so sensible footwear is a must.
T. W.
Lovely garden and a great walk down to the river.
R. M.
Nice Park, totally water logged right now though. Can't help the winter weather though. Expect it to be really nice in the summer.
A. C.
A large park a short walk from the centre of Didsbury. There's a good variety in the park with riverside walks, marked health walks, the rockery and Parsonage Gardens. There's something for everyone! The new cafe is great too.
e. h. T.
Well landscaped park and nice walks through woodlands and fields.
d. g.
A lovely park for a walk, the cafe is very popular
V. P.
Beautifull exceptional park so ver fortunate to live by it
J.
Great place for a day out, great place also for the jogging and running along with canal. Garden area is just lovely perfectly place rockery. Can be very busy sometimes as near to busy town. Free parking can be hard to find depending on your time of visit. Would recommend to any young family.
r. r.
Great place for a wander...plus a drink or snack from the cafe.
The plants and shrubbery needs a bit of tlc in places,
(perhaps understandably over the last year caused by the pandemic).
Would've been handy to have had a downloadable map of the whole site, which is so large we didn't know what we missed😁
O. P.
Incredible park in East Didsbury
A. A.
Very nice, beautiful park with separate garden. Some parking space available, though can be tight depending on weather and time of day. Plenty of space for children to run and enjoy themselves. Many people walk dog next to river Mersey. Nice ground for cricket, rugby and football. I personally liked different variety of birds in park.
E. T.
Lovely place to walk the dog and take in mother nature, be at one with the world ,hug a tree its fabulous, I take a brew and a bacon butty and sit by the river ,its relaxing its invigorating, try it folks it's free!
A. P.
Always my favourite. Flowers, nice walk, the water, lovely view....
f. z. h.
It is beautiful and peacful place to relax and enjoy nature.
G. G.
Lovely park, with enjoyable walks. Reasonably dog friendly.
D. E.
Beautiful gardens, definitely recommend also popping into the Parsonnage gardens right next to Fletcher Moss.
S. R.
Great park with botanical garden and a super cafe
S. K.
Nice walk around,it's amazing this is in the middle of Manchester.
O. H.
Lovely cafe, nice atmosphere and lovely scenery. Food was delicious, I got a halloumi wrap and it was huge. The other half got an iced coffee and she says it's best she ever had.
Only complaint is we got chased by a swarm of wasps lol. Be careful going over the little bridge with a small stream running underneath it, there's a big wasp (could have been hornets, they were fairly large) nest in a hole in the tree right above it. Easy to miss.
K. R.
This place is heavenly...so serene!!! Absolutely loved it!!! A must visit!!!!! Loved every bit of it!!!
T. M.
It was a fantastic day out the grandchildren enjoyed the Halloween 🎃 trail
N. C.
Beautiful park, can get busy at times though! The Alpine tearoom certainly doesn't help in lessening the crowd. Lovely hot chocolate was had and they do a huge variety of food too which wasn't what I was expecting!
P. M.
The park is clean and family friendly. Excellent for picnics and outings. It has a nice woods for the walking which is connects to Mersey River. It has tennis courts for hire, ice cream van and a nice cafe which with choices also for sweet tooth. People were maintaining social distance at all time.
P. S.
Great place with beautifully singing birds and wonderful walkways. The only thing I can complain about is that some paths aren't paved and are difficult to cross after rainfall
H. A.
Remember to visit the botanical gardens, and take the longest hiking trail (around 6km). I hope they would think of opening a nice coffee shop at the centre of the park around the woody area
M. H.
Cool park with a boticaial garden, though bring wellies in winter time
R. J.
Loved a leisure walk ..enjoying a lovely English weather
R. F.
Loved the walk there although it may be confusing to get around. Would need more than an hour to see the whole place. Would recommend some wearing some wellies if it has just rained. Most of the areas have a proper road to walk on so that's a good thing. Good tennis grounds here.
H. C.
Lots of seating and rest places. Some challenging steps however longer gentler routes possible. Fairly easy to social distance in most places provided you pick a quieter time. Beautiful sounds, sights and smells.
S. 2.
Most beautiful park i have ever seen😍
P. M.
Muddy in a lot of places after lots of rain recently and especially after the Mersey breached its banks a few days ago. However, the volunteers are out in force getting rid of the worst bits. We need a few dry days now and it will look back to its best again.

Nice and beautiful park. Maybe needs a bit of maintenance but still very lovely. It is big, great place to go with kids and walk or just with your dog although it is sad that there are some gardens the dogs are not allowed.
S. D.
Gorgeous park. Well maintained
Lovely outdoor cafe and tearooms
T. B.
Lovely place for views of gardens and walks
L. F.
Lovely at all times of year
J. B.
What a beautiful park, the Rockery is outstanding but not good if you are disabled in a scooter, pretty steep. Lovely areas where dogs are not allowed. There is also a dog walking area though, something for everyone, plenty of seating too.
d. c.
The parks footpaths are dry but the grass is waterlogged most of the time . Its a nice place to walk my dogs because of its wide variety of scenery and it has a nice cafe but in case of rain there is no proper covered area to shelter from the rain, HELLO THIS IS MANCHESTER , IT RAINS EVERY TWO DAYS, also there are no swings for adults or children and no adult exercise area like most parks have nowadays
E. Y.
Very compact little garden, full of flowers, well designed landscaping. It is connected with couple other parks. Good place to have a walk if close by.
T. V.
Lovely 0mark with so many different parts to. Very big place to walk around with a treat of seeing the little river going through the park. Nice wildlife in there and a perfect place to take your family if you have kids. Love for a picnic and a treat
Y. A.
Really serene environment, Nature's beauty at its best!
j. m.
Spacious and varied park set within an attractive part of Manchester. A little bit of everything: botanic garden with attractive looking cafe, woodland, ponds, river, sports pitches and lots of green open space. Good for walking, cycling, exploring, relaxing. If I lived nearby I'd be a regular.
E. C.
Good for a walk round. Nice, outdoor cafe with lots of choice, including many vegan things. Right by 2 pubs as well for post-walk food/drink.
I. H.
Beautiful public space it seems totally idyllic
K. M.
Amazing park. Got confused with another park close by. This park has a no dogs enyerung area, and many facilities to sit down and enjoy nature. Very nice. Will come here more often. Enjoyed my lunch and fairly quiet park too.
U. Y.
A beautiful and peaceful atmosphere, and the bird cage is, although smaller than we expected, very pleasant to spend time around.
S.
Absolutely stunning park with a large variety of flowers and plants. On a nice day you can spend hours here walking around. The park is maintained very well and is clean and pleasant. Close the the river and is ideal for a visit on a nice day for a casual stroll, day out or just to walk the dog
M. S.
Beautiful gardens, with lots of different areas to explore and a interesting wide variety of plants. In covid restrictions no public toilets... Usually toilets available.
C. S.
Big green area. Great space to sit down and chill, you can do bbq here!
A.
Wanted to come here for years and finally did. It's amazing. Love places like this which have lots of different elements to explore. Loses a star as the toilets are not open so you might not be able to stay too long
R. A.
Fletcher moss botanical gardens is an oasis of calm and tranquility less than 5 minutes away from one of the busiest suburban roads in South Manchester .
M. M.
My favourite part of Didsbury. It’s always so beautiful no matter the season and you can easily access the fields, woods & river behind it. There’s a little cafe for takeaways upstairs. Make a whole afternoon out of your visit and discover the whole area! I feel fully recharged after walking around there.
N. J.
Lovely river views and walks
B. S.
My favourite green area of Manchester. Well maintained with beautiful rockery and small pond everyone should visit.
R. P.
Wonderful gardens to enjoy for free!!
J. A.
Alpine garden on a small hillside, a hidden gem. Now much neglected but just about holds it charm. Nice long walks around the river and flood planes.
Walking distance from Didsbury. Don't forget to visit Parsonage Gardens nearby.
W. D.
The park is split into three areas. A small formal garden and alpine house across the road from the church. The main banked rockery with benches, steps and paths through plants leading up from the pond, (the tea room is located next to here), and the large extensive paths through trees and meadows to the mersey. There are lots of birds to listen to, and it is quite peaceful when there aren't too many people. The plants are beautiful and it is well kept by the volunteers.
S. A. A. J.
Excellent place to visit especially in summer.
G. B.
Nice park for the kids to walk around in, could do with some swings or an adventure playground for the children to play on.
J. S.
Love this place lots of different paths to take from short walks through the woods to long walks down the river. Great for the older and younger legs as well as your four legged friend.
S. F.
Bring your wellies after heavy rainfall as it can get very waterlogged! But a very pretty park in a peaceful location, with a lovely route to the river and a cafe for refreshments.
C. H.
This place is beautiful. We had a fabulous sandwich bought from the cafe and sat on a bench. A lovely walk round. Truly a sight to behold.
A. H.
Beautiful
A. S.
Close enough for South City dwellers to have an hour with nature
D. F.
Beautiful park with an abundance of flowers and wildlife. Lot's of paths to walk through the woods and along the river Mersey.
Many varieties of trees with information boards dotted alongside the footpaths.
There is also 3 pub's more or less next to each other with a large selection of beers, wine's and spirits to chose from and they all serve food.
J. M.
The flowers have started to bloom and it was magnificent
J. C.
Beautiful gardens. It was extremely muddy on the day we visited so wellies are advised. The Alpine Tea Room is still open for fabulous food and coffee and definitely worth a visit 😋
C. M.
A great place for a Sunday walk with the family
M. F. C.
Amazing park to have a picnic in the surroundings.
N. N.
Lovely place for walk or for dog walk love the this place in summer
S. D.
Gorgeous park. Lots of different walks depending on how far you want to walk. Parking not very good. Very busy on a sunny day
S. S.
Beautiful place. Like another country.
D. H.
The garden area with the wide variety of trees and plants is amazing and it is a must see! The rest of the park has nice footpaths to walk through. Overall the trip here was well worth it and I recommend to anyone local. A very calming, peaceful and beautiful place.
O. A.
Lovely park for nice walks and pics with a loved one building great memories together. River Mersey is really peaceful to walk aside. The meadow is really colourful and calming. Wish people would keep their dogs on a leash and not spoil other people's walks.
K. M.
Visited this park recently. It was at the weekend and due to lockdown was very busy. However the park is lovely. I can imagine it being a nice place to sit in the summer as there were plenty of benches to relax. Will go again.
D. C.
If the weather is sunny, It's beyond imagination
S. S.
Great place for a walk and picnic. Because it was muddy, we did not explore the whole park, but there is plenty to see just walking on the main road. Kids kept running along the river and climbing trees.
R.
Fantastic park to go with either friends or family. The park is HUGE, with a little garden (no dogs allowed) & numerous gigantic fields which are great for dog walking. Best to go on a mild or hot day. Don't recommend when it's raining of course.
D. S.
A great park in the south of manchester
D. H.
A Fantastic place for daily walk with plenty of scenery.
w. w.
Nice park with great walks, only just discovered at the age of 31! Has a bird watching enclosure for the bird lovers supported by the RSPB. Has some beautiful Rose's and a selection of edible herbs for a quick energy boost if needed!
L. A.
Beautiful park full of autumn colours.
C. F.
It's ok, the rockery quite beautiful. Such a pity they are building houses on park grounds. A bit noisy too.the cafe was a plus.
K. M.
Great place to walk and nice cafe.
T. W.
Lovely well kept park withing the heart of didsbury, stunning botanical gardens. Fletcher moss also has a tea rooms which serve a variety of much needes treats after a walk
A. T.
Love the gardens. Winter or summer it looks lovely. Good muddy adventure in the winter and gorgeous flowers in the summer! Plus the Mersey to take a stroll along!
C. M.
What a hidden gem! Fantastic gardens & tea room.
B. C.
Nice relaxing open spaces. Nice Alpine rock garden. Lots of wildlife from herons to squirrels and parakeets. Wooden boardwalk through woodlands and wet areas with dragonflies etc.
A. L.
Went to the cafe which has a long disabled persons ramp. Wife and I had bowls of delicious soup and my sons enjoyed some cheese baps. Sat outside under the joshua tree and had a relaxing cup of coffee. Service was excellent. Dog liked the chap running the cafe too.
P.
Beautiful place for birthday pictures.
N. B.
Great place to spend time. Great for walk or daily run.
C. B.
Very good for walking &there's a rockery with all different plants &trees. A cafe open in all weathers serving hot &cold drinks cakes &sandwich.you can walk down the mersey banks &people's were swimming in it when it was hot.
A.
Amazing park and gardens, beautiful, serene and very easy to find your way round.
A. H.
Lovely mix of spaces including a sensory garden area. Also there's a little food and drink stall to grab something post walk. Winner !
t.
Looking a lot better this year. Got a bit run down in the first lock down, but plenty of work has been done. The pond has been tidied, and is looking great.
K.
Parts of it are lovely and beautifully looked after but I'm very sad about the state of the grass tennis courts.
A. 1.
Hidden treasure in urban area. Pleasant easy walk esp for my mum with dodgy knees. Garden area v pretty. Heard nice hot choc at the cafe
V. M. (.
Beautiful, picturesque vistas to be seen in any season, but particularly Autumn and Spring. The colours and structure of the gardens are lovely, and you can almost forget you're in an urban area sitting amongst the greenery.
T. J.
Fletcher Moss is a lovely place to take young children or just go to relax. The Botanical Gardens are beautiful with many unusual trees and plants. The children get a real sense of exploration climbing up and down the stony steps on multiple levels. The rose gardens are beautiful to sit and relax in with a picnic, or you can take a picnic rug to the more open spaces. These lead on to the woodlands so you can enjoy a woodland walk too. There is a small cafe where you can get ice cream. There are also special events on offer such as The Bat Walks which I would love to do one day. A lovely place for a quiet day out in beautiful surroundings.
N. s.
Best place to have a good connection with nature
E. A.
What a lovely place. We had a long walk round the park. Took nearly 2 hours. Time went very quickly. Staff friendly and helpful. An enjoyable outing.
A. P.
First ever visit, and won't be the last. Interesting gardens with fascinating trees, shrubs and flowers. Specimens I'd never seen before. Boardwalk, and paths take out through into Stenner Wood, and paths around the river Mersey. Worth anyone's time for a visit. Lots of children around too!
m. d.
Fantastic landscape containing water resources
j.
Must visit, stunning gardens
R. O.
Absolutely lovely Park for great walks. I find it so therapeutic each time I visit.
R. K.
Excellent place for a nice relaxing stroll. From young to old everyone can enjoy. Great place to walk the dog. Enjoy the stunning colours of the botanical gardens.
t. m.
Fantastic place for walks, relaxation, great cafe with wide choice of food Inc vegan. Banana ice cream was delicious
S. H.
Great park from wandering round the tiered rockery with alpine plants to the pathed wooded are it's a great park. Plenty of private areas and a cafe too. Public toilets are basic but well stocked by the car park.
k. l.
A very nice place to go, muddy due to the weather so wear wellies for the kids to puddle bash, even big kids, the rock pool was beautiful and good for pets, the reason for only four stars is that we couldn't find any toilets so make sure you've been before going to the park. Overall a great place to visit
C. S.
Very nice place to escape from city rush in Manchester
Y. T.
Nice peaceful walk. Great place to go dog walking lots beautiful of open space. Enjoyed making you tube video of park with my Springier
D. H.
Very nice park to just chill and have some me time! Found this on one of my bike rides a few weeks ago and I've been riding there nearly every week! listen to some songs in the sun with a nice ice cold beer for a few hours. Lovely 😜
d. h.
Lovely botanical garden and woods. Plenty of paths and places for the kids to explore. Major paths are all tarmac and so grate for walking with little ones and prams.
K. W.
Fletcher Moss Park and the surrounding Woodlands are great places to walk and jog, easily accessed from Didsbury. This time of year it is muddy, but no problem with walking boots. Only drawback, traffic noise.
W.
Very nice park. Have a lot of benches , wheelchair paths are also here.
Highly recommended if anyone looking for quite place for walk
P. M.
My favourite outdoor space in Manchester. You could walk through it many, many times and find different paths and trails that take you through woodland, river and open fields in various combinations.
It's was wonderful today with the scents of new grass and spring blossom on the air. Gorgeous!
F.
Beautiful green Park with court for tennis playing. Lots of space to sit and relax. Nice cafe bar. They closing park gate around 7PM.
S. H.
Great park. And cafe too!
I. A.
Beautiful park with lots of variety. Something for everyone.
C. T.
Lovely park one of my favourite places. Lots of variety in the lay out. Ornamental gardens, tennis courts, fields, meadows, walk way through woods onto the river side. Alpine cafe to sit out or in for tea n cake.
J. F.
Come here a lot with the dog. So lucky to have this closeby.
B. W.
Gorgeous area with beautiful sunken garden and very well kept in all aspects. Always a delight to visit.
A. F.
Great, varied views, peaceful riverside walks
V. S.
Lovely walks in the garden and paths along the river. Outdoor café with plenty of seating. Good pub nearby. Good for cycling.
3.
Everyone should come here and visit this small piece of paradise on earth, just to relax and meditate.
S. C.
Very nice green area, lovely plant s trees n shrubbery in pleasant surroundings, nice liitle cafe area too.
B. A.
Lovely park and gardens, perfect for picnics and family gatherings. Has kept me sane during lockdown!
M. W.
What a beautiful park, lovely big space.
Can't wait for the cafe to open and enjoy the day with friends, exploring all the areas
a. m.
Very beautiful places!
T. P.
Great place to walk the dog or have the dog walk you.
S. D.
Beautiful park, very quiet and well looked after. The garden is very popular and gets busy when the weather is sunny and warm.
Don't forget to visit the botanical garden!
M. H.
Lovely park, interesting tier garden with beautiful plants and the pond. The boardwalk is fun as you walk over s wooded a boggy area. There a small tea room with tables outside does tea coffee and light snacks - teacakes biscuits ect. I often visit the tearooms when I go.
d. h.
Really well kept, the gardens are great for a stroll or to eat lunch. Cafe could be better. Haven't tried them but the tennis courts nearby look in really good condition and safe.
N. L.
Very popular with the good people of Didsbury, but so much more there if you visit & look outside the main tarmacked park paths.
Routes take you on to the River Mersey which you can follow towards Northenden or Stockport in the opposite direction.
Currently these are muddy but you can use these to create longer walks & circular if back towards Stockport direction.
A great cafe near the tennis courts.
P. J.
Lovely park. Amazing specimen trees. Cafe. Tennis courts. No children's play area as far as I know. Bottom tennis courts could do with being something instead of being left to go back to nature.
E. T.
I have to say this is spot I have gone back to a number of times because I remember it fondly from my childhood and visiting my grandparents. However, I have been fortunate to be there for a "guitar" festival some years ago and more recently just because it is such a lovely teared garden to meander through. The tea rooms are quaint and offer a lovely spot for a pot of tea and a toasted tea-cake.
P. C.
Astonishingly good for a local park - full alpine gardens, lovely tea and cake cafe (now expanded to excellent full range based outdoors), new tennis courts, fields, ancient wetland, woods, river walks. you may see herons, goosander, goldeneye ducks, cormorants and much more.
O. F.
I used to ride my bike along the Mersey here recreationally and it's perfect for that. It's a nice park for adults but not many features for little kids, although they may appreciate walking, looking at flowers, frogs and the nice scenery.
P. L.
Great park. Been a godsend during Lockdown. I only wish people who enjoy the park would take their litter home
R. E.
Nice Park to stroll around on river mersey bank
V. H.
Really really nice place this. Especially when the sun is out. Will be visiting again.
P. S.
Great place with beautifully singing birds and wonderful walkways. The only thing I can complain about is that some paths aren't paved and are difficult to cross after rainfall
T. V.
Lovely 0mark with so many different parts to. Very big place to walk around with a treat of seeing the little river going through the park. Nice wildlife in there and a perfect place to take your family if you have kids. Love for a picnic and a treat
M. B.
Great place, beautiful gardens and fab cafe; service brilliant 💖
H. C.
Lots of seating and rest places. Some challenging steps however longer gentler routes possible. Fairly easy to social distance in most places provided you pick a quieter time. Beautiful sounds, sights and smells.
m. d. e.
Nice and beautiful park. Maybe needs a bit of maintenance but still very lovely. It is big, great place to go with kids and walk or just with your dog although it is sad that there are some gardens the dogs are not allowed.
A. C.
A lovely spot. My children love exploring and it feels like you can get away from the usual Manchester bustle.
A. K.
Great for a quiet walk
C. H.
Lovely park with cafe. Circular route but with easy access onto the mersey. Lovely park run on a Saturday but avoid 9-10am if you want a quieter walk
M. &. B. O. C.
This place is a real gem. Tucked away behind the back of Didsbury, there is plenty of open space and also woodland walks.
A regular ice-cream van that takes credit cards - a must really these days.
There are a few too many dog owners that don’t pick up on the field so playing football or other sports / picnicking can be hazardous; be careful.
You can get all the way over to the River and there are even some places where runners can do hill sprints!
Variety of really lovely walks are available.
P. S.
Been coming here for over 15 year so many fond memories of this place. Nice walks, botanical gardens are lovely, good cafe. Parking can be a bit tricky on the weekends if its a nice day.
J. T.
A really nice park to walk around and not far from Didsbury, so you are spoilt for choice over bars and cafes. There is a lovely botanical garden here and tj local community really make use of the social space offered here as well as the tennis courts. It's a nice walk along the river and also comes dangerously close to a few pubs to grab a drink. The only downside is as this is a popular spot, the parking capacity does not usually meet demand.
J. B.
This is a beautiful park with nice little trails. There is also a lovely cafe for a sit down when you're done.
J. W.
Beautiful place. Stunning gardens. Close to river. Lots of walks. Football fields. Lovely. Parking limited. Only 1 small car park which you have to pay for. There is a road you can park but its a bit of a free for all. Other than that its really nice.
n. p.
Very muddy so bring wellies but cafe is great, good vegan options. Park and Gardens are a good walk with kids.
T. D.
Loved my first visit to here. The cafe here worth a visit too
I. 2.
Beautiful park although if you go with children, be aware of some dangerous areas. There was a path that followed to some stairs that took us to a bridge. There was water on both sides but the bridge floors were broken. The signs were old and unreadable, I realised the danger and the signs after I crossed the bridge. Very dangerous.
k. h.
Lovely familiar walk to get used to using the app. Nice cafe at the end. Xxx
S. J.
Love a walk round Fletcher moss with the children. Nice rockery to walk around, little cafe, there are toilets but they aren't very nice. Like the way you can end up walking in the woods and by the Mersey
s. m.
All these years I've known about F.M Park but until yesterday not been.
Never realised how brilliant & extensive the "must see" place is.
Put it on your "must visit" list & go ASAP
H. G.
Very pleasant afternoon walk on an early autumn Sunday
W. S.
Lovely park to walk around....lots of interesting plants etc
T. J.
My absolute favourite place to walk with the dog! Beautiful scenery and a fabulous coffee shop with great food and even better staff!
P. F.
Botanical garden doesn't look like much at first but it is a pretty gem if you look hard enough. I wish there was some directions to highlight it's sweet spots. I had the fortune of a local pointing us to the right places.
C. C.
Now that I have moved to Ayr in Scotland I do not get the chance to visit Fletcher Moss Park as I used to. The covid19 hasn't helped. However there are a lot positives about the Park. It has a very wide range of interesting things. Parts of it makes you feel as if you are in the countryside and not greater Manchester, footpaths can take around ponds and garden areas and also very near the river mersey which finishes up as significant asset for Liverpool. So much to see and do and ideal for families with children.
S.
Amazing
Good for all age groups
So peaceful
So soo sooooo beautiful 😍
Love to go every day
W. D.
Good cafe, lots of pretty women walking the dog, taking the kids out to play etc...
Ice cream van, flowers & trees.
What more do u need while taking a stroll in the sunshine or even on a rainy day....
J.
Love this park! It's small but has a lot to offer.
R. M.
Nice place to walk with family and pets
R. B.
Very nice natural surroundings with some woods. Some areas for kids but paths are narrow and lot of muddy puddles if that is okay.
C. B.
Very muddy at the moment on some of the trails, but didn't take away from the beauty of the place. Will return again in dryer weather.
C. W.
A really beautiful place. We visit this place often. A place for a good long walk. The garden is really awesome. It kept in a very natural way.
P. L.
Great park. Been a godsend during Lockdown. I only wish people who enjoy the park would take their litter home
E. S.
I love fletcher moss park and regulary go as I am a keen nature photographer, I wish there were more disabled parking spaces as they’re regulary taken, sometimes by people without blue badges or skips.
Ilove the Japanese area the most and recomend to anyone who is into photography to make sure they visit this bit of beauty whilst at fletcher moss.
A word of note but make sure to check flooding info before going while we are still in the early months as the park can and does get flooded sometimes.
M. S.
Muddy in places.impassable by foot but delightful.sat on a bench by the river shooting the breeze, talking about music, calling the dog to heel, beautiful winters day
T. C.
A nice place to have a wonder round and always busy with dog walkers and runners. I use it as part of my running route so would recommend to anyone as a great place to add a km to there distance in a nice setting!
D. D.
Lovely community park which links out to longer walks alongside the river Mersey.
F. D. F.
Nice place for digesting lunch!! Walk by the river or follow other path .
H. J.
Wonderful green space. I was fortunate enough to meet some lovely people while I was there. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and would certainly recommend
T. Q.
Very nice walk and can access the Mersey and then walk down that. Free Parking can be limited on a busy day, but you can pay to park in the carpark behind the pub.
W. S.
A lovely place ,great for walking along the river or through the woods and gardens.
K. A.
Lovely botanical garden and a great park to go for a walk.
G. A.
The park has a great closed garden near the cafe which is really beautiful with a great selection of interesting plants. The cafe itself is ok. Aside from two closed gardens, tennis courts and the bulb area; the rest of the park is open, natural parkland. The park itself backs onto Millgate Fields, National Cycle Route 62 (Trans Pennine Trail) and The Didsbury Pub (all of which have been photographed and attributed to this park on Google Maps). The whole area is great and I feel privileged to enjoy it on my daily commute. The low lying parts of the park can get boggy and are part of the sluice outlet for the River Mersey.
l.
Not so much "Botanical Gardens" as a nature trail with semi-curated gardens, but nevertheless a great local place to escape to and relax when the Manchester weather allows
B. B.
The entire park Need maintenance especially the garden
M. S.
Very large Park with Cafe on site too very little Car Park. Would highly recommend
K. J.
I have regularly used this location for couple shoots and wedding portraits, it has a nice varied mix of backdrops and is very well maintained.
The best place to park is in the mini car park accessible via Millgate Lane (near the tearoom).
R.
cute park and gardens. has a small greenhouse/building that's converted with a pond and warmer climate plants including succulents inside but is unfortunately only open tuesday morning
A. M.
The Rockery is a extremely peaceful spot in a idyllic garden with selected trees and bushes from around the world. If you need an outdoor photo shoot amongst background greenery, then this is it.
R. H.
Ran the parkrun here. Great course. Tree-lined country paths.
S.
Lovely walk. Poplar tree avenue gorgeous.
All the way around about 3.5miles.
B. P.
Lovely gardens and walk. Maybe some more signage for picnic areas.
z. M.
Lots of hidden paths and picnic spots, great for family exploring. Pram friendly paths and tasty ice cream with great, open scenery
J. M.
Very nice.
O. H.
First time I visit the park with my family, we all enjoyed this place, we had a very nice and enjoyable walk among the green views and the spacious gardens. Thumps up.
A.
Beautiful place! Perfect option for a good bike ride with a nice long river as your view 😌
C. F.
Didn't see much but looks amazing wished i had more time to explore. Parking really disappointing though as the sun was out this was limited due to loads of people there today
D. G.
Great dog walking Park, friendly locals
A. R.
Tranquil Gardens next to the busy didsbury suburbs. Easy access to walk along the river Mersey with lots of birds such as heron, parakeets and kingfishers.
S. W.
So many beautifull shrubs and trees feels like Eden might have been. I love seeing it in different seàsons
A. P.
Wonderful park, with numerous paths all going off in different directions. One of my personal faves, guaranteeing a great walk, any day of the year.
k. p. o. m.
Lovely place. Walks and bike rides.
S. T.
What a beautiful place...walking for hours, lovely weather beautiful views
M. 7.
beautiful and peaceful place. very big place.
J. R.
It is a small but very beautiful garden with full of colourful flower, especially in Spring.
M. M.
A lovely haven in the city. A place of calm and peace. Used by lots of people for walking, running and dogs. Crockery had good mix of plants.
J. D.
Lovely park with plenty of places to explore with the children. 🤩
B. G.
My favourite Manchester park. It has lots of variety, with woodland, open fields, a river and a botanical garden. Being so vast it never feels crowded or busy.
A. A.
It's a beautiful park
J. N.
Great place to take the family with a variety of walking environments and a great place to eat outside available with vegan options that are yummy.
m.
It's hard to believe you are just a stones throw from the center of Manchester. Its an absolute gem.
L. D.
Nice little place with a nice little cafe. Not great for wheelchairs or dogs
A. S.
Big Park which offers a great cafe, a play ground and a beautiful Rock Garden. Perfect to Enjoy yourself and relax. It also offers a visitors Centre and provides information about location and various plants. Tennis area is also provided.
C. P.
One of the hidden gems of Didsbury. It is a really nice place to go on a hot summers day. It is well looked after. However, if it has been wet most of the paths tend to swamp a little. The tennis courts look like they could do with a bit of attention though.
M. H.
Lovely gardens. Very busy at the moment though and parking limited. The tea room is functioning with a take away service at the moment.
D. S.
Lovely gardens to walk around and a fantastic food hut selling sandwiched cakes and drinks
p. k.
Nice place to walk round .
M. S. (. a. W. D.
Paradise. In Didsbury, which is a lovely place. Fletcher Moss Park is awesome, beautiful and well worth an hour or two, or more, letting the pressure goof, or go. Fletcher Moss Park lives near to Mark, a Web Design Devil and SEO Saint, who often takes a mindful stroll, enjoying his two steps a second mindfulness method, for an hour or two, to relax, escape his P.C, restore his vision and his sanity. It has a lovely little cafe', hundreds of quite impressive trees, flowers in the spring and summer and a couple of great pubs at the entrance. Perfect on sunny days.
W. H.
Beautiful grass, would visit again and bring family. Fun for everyone involved, especially the dogs!! Mind the smell in some areas though 😂
X. Y.
Lovely relaxing place to wander round the botanical gardens then head out for a stroll along the river Mersey. If I see dogs in this park I woof at them much to the confusion of the dogs and the owners.
M. B.
Lovely green space with botanical garden, woods, river walk, and café. Part of a flood plain so expect mud and water after rain. Since 2010 the botanical garden has sadly declined due to shameful govt cuts.
t. b.
Very decent to wander around during the week - but can be very busy at weekend.
S.
It was really nice place for walk around and picnic with family.
K. P.
Nice woodland with lots of fallen trees. Very adventurous for kids and adults if you like climbing trees of course.
P. M.
A green oasis for quiet stroll through the gardens to the river Mersey. Lacking toilets though.
P. F.
Want to experience the last order? Go and see Fletcher Moss Pub in Didsbury. Try local beer, meet interesting people and talk to them. The bar staff are friendly, always willing to give a good recommendation in tasty drinks.
j. e.
Great walking linking to canal and river. Beautiful gardens and fab cafe.
J. A.
Alpine is a great new cafe that's worth a visit. It's a hub for Didsbury during the coronavirus lockdown.
L. B.
Beautiful placr fo a nice walk but also beautiful place to take pictures and share memories in the future. Rain made the place wet but it didnt rake away from the beauty of the place.

I've been going there, firstly as a single man and with my wife of 27 years, she loves the place too. Botanical gardens in picturesque Didsbury area

Great park with lots of trails when it's not looking like a life size reenactment of the Somme

Great country garden walks including river Mersey. Wonderful cafe

Beautiful place all round but there is need of work on walkways in it and standing water after rain must be managed well.

A lovely spot. My children love exploring and it feels like you can get away from the usual Manchester bustle.

Really beautifully maintained park. Very poorly organised café - really slow service - management need to get it sorted - long slow queue is very dispiriting!!

Best pub in Didsbury, by which I mean get some cans and meet your friends on a field. Only an egotistical moron would meet in a bar right now. Park Pints are the future.

It was the first time I'd walked around the church grounds despite living in the area all my life. It was spectacular in the bright February sunlight.

Very nice park which we discovered by chance while we went for a brunch. The only thing that would require attention to match the overall standard are utilities.
