Reviews of NCP Car Park Manchester Spinningfields

Have used this car park many times over the years. Great location if you want to visit the theatre or spinning fields. We arrived around 1PM and had to go up many levels to find a space. It is very secure and you feel safe knowing your car is looked after. The only issue is that it is very expensive.

Better than Citipark and those other outdoor carparks in the city centre. NCP have better management and take better care of your vehicle. They have a more convenient payment process. Citipark on the other hand are awful. Ive had terrible experiences and they have very poor customer service. I also have heard bad things about some of the outdoor carparks that i am inclined to believe. Three words. Catalytic converter theft. I only park at NCP in Manchester. Christmas is coming up so bear this in mind if you have a car that is vulnerable to that risk.

Parked here for the afternoon Panto at Opera House on a Saturday 10th December, ended up on the 10th floor as it was very busy. The pay station is on the Ground floor next to the exit, you have to enter your reg number when paying as it’s a ticketless system, no problems with the car park but as other comments have said it’s quite expensive £15.80 for around 4 hours, it is clean and well lit, great location for Opera house

Went here to park when we visited the Oprera House for a musical show, evening performance. If you haven't eaten before you go make sure you know establishments nearby because most were shut when we arrived, those that weren't and preferable to us were quite a walk away.

It's a car park and does a good job. I like that it has ANPR parking using the NCP park app.

If you’re of a certain age this car park isn’t for you as you need an app to pay for parking or you have to go online to pay. There are machines nearby though. There have been several reports of cars being broken into here so be sure to hide your belongings. We found the entrance a little tight, and if it wasn’t for the parking discount we got from the Moxy hotel nearby, the price would’ve been through the roof. It is well lit and sign posted, so we didn’t have any problems.

Clean well lit car park facility. A,few minutes away from venues
N. S.
Good disabled parking, not too pricey.

Good location for where we wanted to be, easy to park and it’s all ticketless. Better to download the ncp app and get that ready then pay via that way. Or there is a machine somewhere to pay .. another option is to check online the next day to pay what you owe. However, it is super expensive but at least with the app, you can get promo codes linked to your account to make it slightly cheaper.

Always find place but as all ncp can be expensive
g. h.
Very tight getting in initially, but lots of spaces. very easy ticketless system, I did get confused on the app as I had selected autopay - but paid at the machine as I was worried if I was doing things correctly. Tiny area for people queuing, more than one machine would be beneficial - but overall a very quick, easy, tidy and pleasant way of driving to a venue and NOT worrying about my car. Would use again
P. T.
Good place to park for Manchester opera House only problem is getting out you must turn right and right again to traffic lights which only allow 3 cars to go through so 200 cars may be more i recommend going for a drink let the rush go not n c p falt
M. B.
More expensive than it needs be, but they all charge what they can while people will still use it and pay.
C. C.
Easy to use and enough space to park
R. M.
Great idea to pay later so you don't have to queue for the pay station.
A. P.
£10 for a full 24hrs, in City centre manchester! You cannot get better. Unmanned, so you pay via app.
S. M.
For a daily run this is not cheap. But location is good so its a bit of both I guess.
P. Z.
Mixed feelings about this car park. Good location but quite tight inside and difficult to navigate. Price of course high but similar to other car parks in the area.
D. B.
Expensive parking in Manchester ☹️
C. T.
Wow so expensive £24 for 5 hour's parking, just can't justify the price
D. T.
Used this car park loads of times, probably the best in the city centre. Only reason for a four star review is the number of other drivers who forget to pay before leaving and cause a queue at the exit barriers.
M. C.
I'd like to say a big Thank you to the lovely Pa,
He went well out of his way to return an important item that I had left in the car park.
He's a credit to your company and NCP are lucky to have Pa as an employee.
fantastic customer service. Thank you Pa.
Jemma x
M. L. B.
Good central location and easy automatic payment system. Bit on the pricey side for parking however
R. K.
We pre booked our space when going to the theatre and it was so much cheaper and easier than I expected. The spaces are a good size too.
D. O. N.
yesterday a long delay caused due to no tickets in the machine (busy time of the morning should have been checked first thing!) Lifts always out of order, pay machines regularly not working - wouldn't be so bad if I didn't pay so much to park there! Also people drive dangerously!

Extortion at its best £35 to spend the afternoon and evening in Manchester I will be seeking alternative travel arrangements for our next visit.

FEEDBACK:
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to a member of staff that helped me today.
His name is Pa.
I parked at Spinningfields in Manchester and memorised floor 15 when i walked to the lifts.
When returning to my car in the afternoon, i couldnt find it.
I called the number on the parking ticket and explained i had checked a number of floors above and below where I thought I had parked.
The lady advised me to go to the barriers and someone would be with me shortly.
Within 5 minutes, Pa arrived and reassured me that it happens alot.
He eased my mind to a certain extent and knew that i was in safe hands.
He said we would start at the top and work our way down.
If for whatever reason, we cant find it; he would then ask for the cctv footage of when i came in and to check if the car had left.
It turned out i had actually parked on floor 5 .... not 15.
When we found it i felt really stupid, but again; Pa reassured me that its a common thing as it happens all the time.
He had also kept me talking whilst we were walking to say that he vaguely remembered seeing my car on his walk araound earlier. This is what kept me going. This again put me at ease, as not only is there cctv, but that told me that they physically check on the vehicles too.
His customer service skills were amazing, as was the way he handled the whole situation.
He showed determination, dedication and a genuine care in wanting to help me find my car.
I really felt Pa deserved recognition for his hard work today.
Too many people find the time to complain nowadays but not enough give credit or praise where it's due.
Thank you Pa
You were absolutely fantastic, so calm, smiley (in a supportive way) positive and proactive.
You saved my day!

Possible one of the less expensive multistory carparks in the centre but still is a costly solution to parking. It is however well situated if you plan a short stay travelling from Salford area
P. D.
It's ok as a multi storey Cark park. I was parked near the top so lots of round and round to get up there. Only one lift and the car park machine was broken when i wanted to pay. Staff on the telephone help line soon sorted that as you can pay at the exit by putting a card into the machine.
J. P.
Efficient tidy, well lit car park easy instructions to read fast and reliable
C. W.
Great setup for parking; pay after departure is cracking idea.
G. D.
Handy for the opera house but expensive but then again probably in line with most carparks in Manchester.
