Has three little trampolines for kids which is awesome. The play area is quite good for children below the age of 10. There is also a separate dog training area which you don't see often.

The park has a nice playground for little kids,it gets a bit muddy though. So wellis on a rainy days. Also has a sports area for older kids,and easy to walk with or without pets.

Love Old Moat Park - the local community, including Friends of Old Moat Park, have worked really hard over the last 10-15 years to improve and maintain the Park - we do monthly litter picks and raise funds for new play equipment such as the new trampolines installed in 2016. Our Kids enjoy going there for football, using the play area and riding bikes.

Lovely little park, especially without the students! Have been helping out on the monthly litter pick today... There wasn't too much, but we found a huge pair of metal cutters in a bush - obviously having been used in cycle theft. And the remains of a fire, which had badly scorched 2 trees.

Park itself is small but still pretty on sunny days. Kids playground is good for small 'uns. Addition of mini-trampolines is cute & fun. Occasionally get unsavoury folk smoking weed :( , generally leave before it gets dark

Some nasty dog owners don't pick up after their dogs, spoiling what is actually a nice little park. A bit dodgy once it goes day as well

Lovely park with a great play area for little ones . Would have given it 5* but for the amount of rubbish and empty bottles that have been left by people who don't care . Overflowing bins . Also beer bottle tops all over the grass very dangerous for dogs paws and little ones . Take your rubbish home guys it's not hard

Great little park. Children's playground has a good range of equipment for little ones and bigger children. The park has 2 caged areas: a basketball court and a football area, it also has a grass football pitch. The Friends of Old Moat park help maintain the park and encourage local residents to get involved. 4 out of 5 because unfortunately the park doesn't have any toilets.

Great for little kids, plenty of space for picnic blankets e.t.c, and numerous courts with football goals and basketball hoops. There is also a pleasant section with flowers and shrubbery to unwind. A few climb-worthy trees aswell for the adventurous! In terms of size, its just a regular local park size. However, nearby Platt Fields Park is MUCH bigger ( it's one of the main MCR parks) and has geese, ducks, a lake.......

Nice place to come and just chill out. i enjoyed visiting here and riding around on a bike. its quite a calm family orinetated place wjere children come to play, even has a place for dogs. ive not been here many times in the winter months but its a very cool place to come for summer to relax and maybe sunbathe

I have been coming to this park since I was a very small girl, We used to lovingly call it the ",Wreck" It had beautifully manicured lawns & bowling greens. An abundance of sweet smelling roses, amongst many other flowers & lastly, but of most importance to us kids as we got older, a summer house to sit in. It had changed remarkably, but I was very happy to see it is in more use than ever, Either by dog lovers walking their hounds, or local lads playing basketball & students playing football. I'm glad to say there is still a playground for the younger ones. & Was very pleased to attend anl event organised by a local Art group, with music, a variety of stalls & an array of activities. So glad "The Wreck" is still going. LONG LIVE OUR PARKS & GREEN SPACES.

It is as good as any park. It has a playground for the kids and is a good day out. Small but good. It is local to withington centre that has a load of food shops as well as coffee places.

Lovely spot that suffers surprisingly little from being next to quite a busy road. Basketball and football, and plenty of room for cheeky barbecues. Popular with local students and the rest of the community. Obviously gets occasionally muddy, what with the Manchester rain and all, but this is a gem.

I woz only passing thru this park on my way to pick up some items. It looked like decent enuff place, plenty of Families, Couples, Bicycle riders. There's a Duck pond which looked quite interesting for Young and Old alike. It got my vote and that woz on a miserably rainy day! It's probably a lot prettier and more fun in the sunshine! 😉😁😘

It was so fun and the kids playground is really fun. We discovered it a few months ago and it's also an awsome route to take when going from or to whalley range highschool to back or to oak road and the areas around it.

This park needs more trees inside on both sides of the internal road. The play ground should be redone because it is uneven and often dirty. Grass should be cut regularly and the sides should be cleand up.

Im withington born and bred.. we locals called it the wreck.. used to play saturday afternoon football here back in the 90's with friends and residents.. always had a good turnout.. Fond memories.. Great place to relax and chill out while talking the dog for a walk
