Reviews of Whitefield Park
It's a small park styled very nicely. It has a bowling green, a children's play area, seating area and a car park. It's also a lovely place to walk your dog
Serene, beautiful and cool park to chill out with friends and family
Nice little park right next to the metrolink station in Whitefield. Has plenty of climbing equipment for young and older children including a climbing wall. Definitely worth a visit and lots of free parking places around.
Good park.enclosed play area for kids with climbing wall ,climbing frame swings and more.there is a basketball court. Plenty of paths and benches .situated next to metrolink and bus stops.
"Presented to the inhabitants of the district by Alfred Grundy of Underley," Whitefield Park was first opened in 1890. So the plaque on the entrance goes. The plaque is just above an unexplained, unworking water pump. Go through the gates onto a cobbled path way. The park has a feel that someone pops by to see it's okay every so often, but not too often!
Surprisingly there are several parks around that were just donated to people. "Here you go, have this park, I don't know what to do with it".
In the park is a kids' play area, swings and things. A fair bit of safe activity for kids of all ages. Nicely spaced out so plenty of running around area. In the non kids' play area is a nice space to walk around, plenty of pathways and grass. At the rear is an unfortunately poorly looked after garden area. There could be a nice flower area but no one seems to be bothered.
It is kept relatively clean, no overstrewn rubbish. Not ideal for picnicking but a nice enough walk and a good kids' play area.
It could be wonderful, as a little park goes it's good enough. My 2 year old would give it 5 stars, but that's just for the "weeeeeeeeeeeeee slide".
Perfect place for parents with kids. Has swings with protection for small children, a couple slides, both of which have protective railings and a seesaw among other things.
Always good kids have been going for years
Nice enclosed play area but there's no swings for older children. Unfortunately most play areas have there swings removed but never replaced.
Walk the dog here most days.shame not all the people who use it don't respect it. I usually take a couple of carrier bag & fill them with litter left lying around. Also have to watch out for the broken glass.
Nice park it's peaceful & clean & also it's dog friendly!😃
Love the new equipment, my 3 and 14 Yr old had lots of fun, nice and clean
Great little park for walking dog
Nice and quiet park, good for Pokémon Go, as it has two gyms and a Pokéstop. The cobblestones can get slippery when wet
We meet here for our british cycling rides. Free car park toilets in Morrisons and a playground for kids. Also close to metrolink
A good place for dog walking.
Excellent park but a shame about the graffiti on the climbing wall.
Needs more looking after in the childrens play area as items missing🙈🙈🙈but always beautiful in the fairy ring
Very quite clean neat park
Lovely park 😍
For walking the dog its small you'll have to go round a couple of times
Gardens are nice but kids playground needs updating and cleaning .
Nice park has no swings for older children
Lovely play area for the children
Beautiful park with play area and well manicured foliage
If people idnt wanted ly drop litter it would be great
A lovely park for the children and dog walkers
Not much for the kids to play on but at least it's something.
Played a bowls match here and got thru to the semi finals. 🤣
Nice place. People come here for smoking.
Obviously good for the kids and our grandchildren were no different.
Could do with more flowers, and all the benches need to be cleaned regularly.
Nice place for a short walk
Nice park shame the swings have been destroyed needs repair
