D. E.Nice park with open spaces for dog walkers and a children's playground, tennis courts, bowling green and skateboard area. There is a toilet which is open during the day. Recently opened is the Pavilion cafe. Open from 10am til 4pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, on Sunday from 12pm, and Monday 10am til 4pm. They sell muffins, scones and chocolate shortbread plus coffee, tea and hot chocolate
- those who bring their own travel mugs will get a 25% discount on their drink. The cafe can be found near the toilets. .
A. J.Great park, has had some recent upgrades and it's a great place for younger kids to explore and play. My 9 year old and 1 year old both love it.
F.Will be returning to Chase park, beautiful park well kept park in the heart of whickham. Saw no litter or Dog poo anywhere in the park. highly recommend
L. M.This is a really great park for people of all ages. I took my 2 year old nephew and he loves it and I even had a cheeky try on th outdoor gym equipment. It's brilliant.

S. O.Decent little park where the grandchildren were kept occupied for a couple of hours. There is a nice little cafe next to the bowling green that is staffed by volunteers who are lovely and the prices for coffee and snacks are very good.
E. B.Nice well kept park. The kids love all the play stations, swing and a zip line. There is a little cafe too.
S. T.Nice park lots of things to do with the kids. My daughter is now 5 and she is they right age and height to enjoy all the equipment safely my 2 year old boy is just a little bit to small. However at the time of writing this we are in the pandemic and the park was packed and some parents just abandoned there children while smoking and drinking on the picnic tables, the toilets where also closed which resulted in children having to do what they done around the edge of the park so be careful if you venture away from the play areas.
M. B.Great park with lots for little ones to do, would be 5star if there public toilets available in the park (possibly due to covid although may be out of season as there looks as though there's a building which could be/was toilets but closed). Had to nip to somewhere nearby to use facilities
L. T.Cafe open now. Seemingly opened in November. Lovely cafe run by volunteers. Ideal for families with young children and play area also updated. Would recommend.

J. A.Great local park, would be 5 stars if they enclosed the little ones toddler park as its too easy for them to run off. Always as clean as possible and has toilet facilities which are open most days up until evening.
S. F.A well laid out public park with grassy areas, a well-designed obstacle course, swings and other rides for children plus courts for sports. There's a fenced basketball/football court and picnic tables and benches. I rate Chase Park highly.
t. p.Really nice good quality toys! Shame water thing wasn't working it could have been locked because of covid but not sure. We loved sitting on the big field and looking at the old windmill.
T.Lovely little clean park. Great play area for kids. All equipment well maintained though a few graffiti marks. Could do with an on site cafe and /or ice cream van for the summer would most likely make money.

J. L.Lovely part of the Town. Escaped the busyness (yes, it was) for a little while. Lots of folks enjoying the afternoon sunshine and fresh air. Still lots of colours even in January!
G. N.Nice place for families on a sunny day. Swings, slides etc for younger children. Trip wire slide, excercise type kit and swings for older children and a skateboard/BMX area for early teens. Tennis. Large grass area. Very pleasant on s nice day.

M. T.A lot of money was allocated to upgrade our neglected Whickham park. I think it could have been better spent. The bowling green building could have been converted into a well needed cafe for families. More paths have been added, leading to flowerless and colourless unkempt borders. Though the children's play area has been upgraded more could have been done to restore this park to its former glory from bygone years
N. F.Needs a little coffee shop plus toilets must b open as children always need to go.
The house needs work on it which could b turned into a nice restaurant or pub.
D. H.Nice local park. Good facilities including tenis court, table tennis tables, skate board park, upgraded children's playground and gym equipment. Raised flower beds, lots of seating and wheelchair friendly paths. Has recently been refubished.
S. W.On our way out for dinner we stopped here for 20 minutes to let the children have a quick play break.
They like the zip wire and the fitness gear the most.

D.Great place for the family, free tennis courts, bowls, greens for a kick about, an old windmill that's hopefully going to be restored, and locally funded play areas - just a shame local residents had to raise the funds when other parts of the city have money thrown at them - just to be unused / vandalised.

E. K.A lovely, gently-paced walk around the park located in the town centre. The mill was open for the public and there are information boards about the history of the place.
