Reviews of Ponteland Park
F. A.
A lovely walking experience. There are so many routes through this beautiful bit of land that you can spend a good period of time here with friends and family or when walking the dog. Very picturesque

This is my local park, which is a huge factor in why I love it. But I have always thought it was like a little bit of country in the village. It's about half a mile long and quite narrow, alongside the main road, with the River Pont running through it. Plenty of trees, some wheelchair accessible paths, lots of birds, and, rarely, mammals, can be spotted. Lots of early Spring flowers, Snowdrops, Crocuses, Daffodils. Can get very busy, and not all dog owners are as careful as they should be, but that's the same anywhere.

Lovely park to walk your dogs refreshing stream for them to play in ideal for picnic with young children but didnt see any kind of play area for them

Excellent place to walk and admire the beauty of the surroundings plants, trees and off course the river. There are quite a few well marked routes through the park, some are suitable for people in a wheelchair or walking aid depending on where they start their walk. There are a few parking spots close to the park Fox Covert Lane being perhaps the best. Plenty of places to sit and rest, play games, have picnics etc. Dog walkers are welcome and it's a very clean park. It does not have swings, slides or other fixtures you might associate with a park. At one end of the park is Waitrose so quite easy to buy food etc there and eat it in the park. The river is clean and safe although you still need to supervise your kids . A good place to go for a solitary walk or family get together.

Beautiful walk and dig friendly even in the cold

Peaceful green space in the centre of Ponteland based round the river Pont. The park follows the course of the river running from Callerton Lane to Fox Covert Lane over the length of a mile or so. Home of dog walkers, toddlers and schoolchildren. Various entrances and easy to follow paths throughout the park. Watch out for the occasional heron or even water vole.

Great family day out at party in the park

Do you like your parks to be in an area of top earners for your region? Do you like your parks to be within proximity to overpriced stores such as Waitrose? Do you like your parks to be in areas where teens and young adults have private gardens larger than public parks in which they can play their awful tunes and not ruin your walk? If so, then come one over to Ponteland Park and be sure of a wondrous time.
