Large space and variety to see. Good place to go with kids. The place around the lake is not to be missed. The benches around the lake seem like a romantic spot. There is a vast play area for kids. Although the cafe is expensive. Toilets were all closed. So that didn't help the situation much

The park is awesome for kids, plenty to play on an loads of space for picnics, bikes, football and more. There is an ice cream van with a snacks van too. Not sure how far the toilets are from here or even if there are any close by, we didn't need them this time! Lots of dog walkers, so dont be surprised by the odd visit from a waggy tail!!

The most beautiful park in Northampton. The old boating lake (East Lake), is great to walk around with a range of wildlife to spot. Ducks, swans, geese, coots, moorhens and herons. Central to the park and easy walking distance to the playground, museum, aviary and Park Café.

Lovely, well maintained park with lots of space, beautiful geese, ducks and swans. Great for a stroll with the family and/or dogs.

Nice place, kids can enjoy lots of different things. Only there is no toilet which drives me mad time to time 😒 There is this little forest with lots of fallen trees, the best place in the park. Also, people should probably learn to read English, there is this big sign explaining that bread makes the birds ill and still the pond is covered with bread floating around rotten 🤢

Lovely park great for kids and dog walkers. Kept really tidy with lovely gardens and lakes. Facilities include a cafe and a bird walk, where the birds are kept spotlessly clean and really well cared for. Lots of seating and picnic spots, would definitely recommend. Parking can be difficult sometimes due to the parks popularity.

Massive park. Places to eat food. Have an ice cream. Children’s play area. Squirrel chasing is available for for furbabies. Free parking too, you can park right on the edge of the park. For free. Unfortunately. It isn’t fenced off. It’s close to the main roads. The toilets are shut off too. I think they’re getting a revamp.. but that’s no use to me, when I need a wee. It’s a nice space. Think I still prefer the racecourse in Northampton. Have a read about the history of it. Check out the white elephant. But. It isn’t dog friendly. So answers on a post card lol.

It's a beautiful park with plenty of space and lots of nice features. At present there are pedalo boats on the little lake - individual ones for children and family ones. This is a nice feature, without spoiling the tranquility of the park. It wasn't too busy, even on a Saturday afternoon. There is plenty of parking around the park, which is free.

There's also a park for them to play and even ice cream vans about some days. Across the road you have the other half with a museum which is nice. Over the summer (excluding pandemic which is like now) it is very very peaceful and can get quite busy. Well worth going to on a nice day!

I've had a lovely walk around Abington Park this morning. Lots of people are out and about enjoying the sunshine. The trees still look stunning with all the different colours. Go visit the little church next door to Abington Park museum and see the brilliant display outside.

A really beautiful park, with lakes, swings, wooded areas to build dams, and everything in between. Just add a bit of imagination, and the whole thing is an adventure playground. Or you can just go to see the ducks. It's what you make it.

I love this park. There always seems to be some kind of event on that people can take part in or charity day that they can support.. The views and wildlife in the gardens, when it is sunny, are stunning. It is very popular for families to picnic in or have a coffee at the local café. A brass band will also play every Sunday in the summer months. Northampton should be proud to have such a place made available to them.

Lovely open clean space for everyone, area for children to play with various playground activities, has aviaries near the museum a pond to watch or feed the birds. My daughter, granddaughter and I spent a couple of hours just feeding the squirrels and pigeons, we thoroughly enjoyed. You can buy a cup of peanuts from the park cafe. There are icecream vans pared up to. The park is also used for other activities, childrens events, bands, fairs. Parking can be a bit of a pain as its so popular but its free.

It's a park... There are some slides and climbing stuff and some futball pitches. For kids a perfect place to let off some energy. Summer time there are some other attractions like jumping castle and blow up slide. Ice cream truck in the corner. Just a park.

Lovely park and people. Even the football and rugby teams play their part by leaving cans of drink and crisp packets on the floor, after they have left, for passersby; just in case you might be thirsty or peckish.

Beautiful Park and common space in the centre of Northampton is divided into West and East parts. The West part is a formal area comprising of the Abington Museum, Church, Bandstand, Avery and a pretty decent Park Cafe with indoor and outsise seating. In this part dogs are required to be on a lead and the East part is much bigger more wilder, tree lined paths, wildlife resources. playing fields, three resourvoirs for wild birds and a substantial children's playground. This also hosts occasional fairs particularly around Easter time. Dogs can run free here.

I absolutely love this place and me and girlfriend love it its peaceful and a romantic place to take ur girlfriend too and not forgetting the cafe which is nice too

Also a cafe and toilets are available. Here you can relax well. (Original) Toller gepflegter Park mit viel Platz zum spazieren gehen. Es gibt mehrere Teiche und sogar einen eigenen für Hundebesitzer. Außerdem reichlich Spielplätze und auch Trainingsgeräte für Erwachsene. Auch ein Cafe und Toiletten sind vorhanden. Hier kann man gut entspannen.
