A shame about all the rubbish but a handy and nice car park, even better with the height restriction so we will be able to bring the car with kayak on (we have the suitable license). Thank you

Medium sized car park for up to maybe 15 cars. Free, but the ground is quite uneven in places with a few puddles. Canal is close by.

Typical CRT carpark not made up and can get messy in wet weather, however it is conveniently located.

Every time I've used the car park, there has been plenty of spaces free. It's also a 30 second walk to the canal and is free - which is fantastic. However, it looks incredibly suspicious and there's a people carrier up on bricks (which has clearly been there for some time). Make sure you lock your valuables out of sight or take them with you. Also, be wary if you have an estate or a tow bar - there is a huge pot hole on the way in that is practically unavoidable. Even rolling into it at a crawl caused me to grind my tow bar into the tarmac - far from ideal. You'll be fine in a hatchback though.

Canals & Rivers Trust car park on the banks of canal adjacent to the Gayton Turnover Bridge. Car park surface is rough and has a 2m height limit, but parking is free.

Remote car park which you can access the Northampton Arm canal from. I would give it five star but a very dubious character was hanging about there. Recommend to be very security conscient if parking there. Cover any valuables and make sure it's locked.
