Reviews of St. Johns Multi Storey

Good multistory car park in the centre of Northampton, which is ideal for The Royal and Derngate Theatre.
Plent of levels with generous parking spaces, that are well lit and make you feel safe. Prices are not that bad for parking.
B. B.
easy to navigate and good presentation considering it’s just a car park. it’s close to many amenities and is the best place to park if you’re visiting the Royal&Derngate in my opinion.

Lots of space but payment system confusing. Really cross to have paid what I thought was correct but barrier open at the end of my stay so needn't have paid at all!

St Johns Car Park
Spacious, easy to go around. Card machines accept both cash and cards. Unfortunately they’ve changed the charges. It’s not any more free for the first 2 hours as it used to be... nevertheless is less expensive then street parking

Good car park, plenty of parking levels, good wide spaces, very well lit

No more free parking weekdays. I used to go into the town centre for an hour or so many afternoons after work because there was free parking for up to two hours. Now I'll just go elsewhere. The council needs money, but this will affect already struggling businesses in the town centre. It's a shame the council isn't helping local businesses.

Does what it says on the tin but the weekend charges are guesswork tho. One good point is they don't have an overnight lockdown like some in Northampton do.
It is a rather pretty building with vines growing attractively up its flanks. Possibly the prettiest multistorey I have seen.

Big queues when shows at Royal & Derngate end, doesn't help that at least two machines will not read contactless cards. Also gate I left from was stuck up, so did I needlessly pay?. Entering car park, lower entrance barrier was broken. Could do with some serious maintenance!

Good for visiting the museum as we did. A little difficult to find. Pay on exit.

This is definitely one of the better multi storey garages. Not only is it well spaced and laid out but also they offer 2 hours of free parking which is superb and makes for a great experience. The cars have enough enough and you don’t have to worry as you normally would when parking and leaving your car.
M. B.
Great parking for theatre, free 2 hours on Saturday and free all day Sunday.
L. P.
Well lit and very close to theatre.

A good location for town and theatre but as always massive delays after a theatre event due to a lack of enough payment machines

Great car park good location

Free parking for motor cycles, not everywhere is, but it is a pain trying to stick a tiny ticket on a bike, and then someone nicks it, leaving you trying to explain to someone.
M. T.
Close to city centre often free
C. G.
Great value, especially if you're in the evening it can often be free! Great for the Royal and Derngate theatre. Parking tight and very full though.
D. C.
Nice car park. Needs more payment machines.

A good place to park a car, or a motorbike, or even a bicycle.
Probably not a good place for a lorry, bus, double decker, JCB or combine harvester.
Not that I have tried any of the above.
I. B.
Typical car park, fairly shabby but not the worst I've seen. Reasonable room in parking bays, easy access to centre on foot
