Reviews of Forest Park & Ride
Easy to park and right next to the tram stop with a tram every 3 minutes into the shopping centres. Net Go APP allows quick online day ticket for the Tram £3.80 so much cheaper to park here and go explore. Probably the only negative comment is lack of toilet facilities at the park and ride site.
Perfect for access to the university buildings.
Take care to enter via main road entrance.
Google maps got confused.
Lots of parking spaces and plenty to do with easy access to public transport

Surrounded by ghettos don’t leave valuables on display
Easy parking and easy to use the tram into the city centre.
Booster jab. Waited about 5 mins
Really good price for a family ticket 2 adults and 3 children to ride on the trams for a day
Just easier when shopping or city likely to be busy, a pain when peak time bus full and no one seems to know which route they are driving.
parking in the day time on a weekday is almost impossible. you need to get there mega early to find a parking space.
Large free car park next to the excellent Nottingham tram service. Can't go wrong with that.
Free.
Lots of space but never use it during the day, because it always seems to look overly full. Could be hard to find a space.
Tonnes of spaces and 3 stops from the theatre!
Litte traffic when you leave around but is very nice place to visit ... once or twice
Great little interchange- free parking while hopping on tram into town

Loads of parking spaces, the only problem is that there is no spaces for you to push a pushchair through so you have to walk on the road
There is plenty of space to park and and it's not massively expensive
Convenient but no car spaces so parked on the road.

My preferred park and ride nowadays, but that goes for a lot of people also, so it fills up quickly
No problems. Staff very nice
It's a standard park and ride. You park, you ride.
Tram access from the car park is good.

Good Park and Ride, though difficult to get to from outside Nottingham because of traffic.
Was there to get my second covid-19 Vaccination
First time using the tram system as not visited it for a while, bit confused by the ticket machine but mastered it in the end. Good value for money..... concessions for oldies! ,"
Always busy so if you want a parking space be sure to come early enough
Sometimes busy but it's big so you got a chance to park here.
Handy ,trams regularly, but don't forget you pay before getting on.
Good parking if you are early enough
Free Parking next to tram stop into town centre. Also next to parks.
Very large car park, regular trams in and out the city

Great parking... Lots of spaces
Big car park, but only a few minutes walk into town. Park and Ride/Walk.
Huge car park, which is refreshing for nottingham where it's generally hard to park
Very busy but have always managed to find a space. Easy access to the site via car and again easy to catch the tram
Huge carpark next to tram stop.
Often full though
Great location, easy to get to and made visiting QMC much less stressful
Goose Fair as always a great meeting place to have fun.
My car was undamaged and the car park is a decent size.
Used only for our covid19 vaccination.
Quick and easy parking.free.
The most ugly, grey place in the forest area, but it is useful.
Big space brilliant park for kids and adults
Nice for a walk and catching the tram into nottingham
Pay at station
Park free then walk or tram into Nottingham 🚶🚎
Good transport links and close to park.
Well managed went for covid jab

Great place , good connectivity to all parts of city
Good for park and ride into town
Good parking and good seasonal advents
Ideal location for the trams
Goose fair good as it always is, pity about parking problems
Plenty of parking if you get there before 11
Used to go to the park when the kids were younger. It's a lovely park with interesting areas to explore and keep the kids occupied. Goose Fair is also held here and we have been going regularly. It's a great experience and would recommend it. Get a bus or a tram though as traffic is horrendous and finding a place to park is a nightmare.
Perfect for parking and taking the tram into town, or the uni. Plenty of parking available but gets busier as the day progresses !
Very nice place
Gets very busy. You need to be really early to get a spacer in the week.
Great 5 mins into Nottingham on tram
I went there for my Covid Jab.
Nice easy way of getting into town. Simple and effective.
Always leave my car there to catch tram.
Lots of parking space but not secure
Handy parking and tram into Nottingham.
Great club called West Notts next to the tram stop
Expensive. But you still go for the kids every year. 😃
Struggled to find out how to get in because we found the satnav instruction misleading. Handy for free parking & a tram ride to the centre of Nottingham shopping.
Always plenty of parking & not far from town centre
Free carpark. Tram service outside the carpark. 👍
Lots if parking and attendants at hand to help
Went to the covid test centre
Went to have my covid jab
Insanely large car parking space.
Good Park for running &other activities etc
Plenty of places to park
The site of the best fair in town once a year
Very busy - suggest an early start
Great place well located and easy to get most places in Nottingham with the tram. It's worth getting there early though as it does fill up and there isn't security on site.
Good for park and ride.
Its a good place to take your pets
Plenty of parking, can be sketchy at night
More needs to be done to clamp down on people who abandon their cars.
Goose fair is held here on the first weekend of October
Best thing about this place is when goose fair is on.
It's like a bliss to be there every morning for a ride .
Convenient but gets full quickly
Safe place to park
Park Here
Ride the Tram to Town easy
Went here to take my partner for her covid jab. The NHS site based here is very good and efficient.
Forest Park and Ride is just a big car park.
Very convenient for those with cars.
It's a big car park
Plenty of spaces with regular trams.
Easy to use for motorpoint arena
Went here for the covid inoculation
Very good place for fast food
We enjoyed the circus 🎪 today
Covid-19 vaccine centre
Great atmosphere wonderful day at the forest
Nice place to spend time with family in summer
Easy to find as well signposted, and allows easy access into town - though walking from there to town would only take 10 minutes longer than catching the tram (potentially less if you have to wait for the tram). Parking availability can also be limited during periods when there are local attractions running, such as the Goose Fair, in which case you are often better parking at Toton or Clifton Park and ride stations.
Large car park
Cool place
Easy to get in to town center from here
Went for my covid jab
Safe and well lit and secure
Handy for a walk to the arboretum.
The goose fair was great..
Wot a good day out for all the family
Not bad for walking the dog
Park and ride service is great
It's a spacious park and ride site with plenty of space, but it does still fill up quite quick during peak times. The tram stop is right besides the car park and takes you to the city centre in around 5-10mins. It's also a great park and ride for the main hospital (QMC) as the tram has a dedicated stop at the hospital.
Good for walking my dog
Fast & efficient, thankyou
Gets you to we're you want to be in no time
Great for getting into town .
Always a struggle to park here
Ideal for the tram to the goose fair
This weekend it's covered by the Goose Fair.
Great Park then ride
Great for the goose fair
Time to enjoy Goose fair
Goose fair is on and exciting as ever. It is great just to walk around and smell all those wonderful flavours and watch people having fun. The stalls are good too including a variety of food outlets. All show people very polite and helpful.
A place to be when you need to walk
Good way to get to the park.
Clean, easy to navigate
I only use this site for Goose Fair
Pleasant place to walk
Car was still there when I got back.
Never full saves me a lot of time
Love the Goose fair
Convenient for trip into town
Nice park
Good park and ride with plenty of spaces available. The trams are frequent and efficient for getting into the town centre. Pricing could be a little clearer before buying your ticket however
Thumbs up
went to the fair with ny laura
Plenty of parking spaces
Awesome!! 😉👍
Good place for the fair
Goose fair is a must visit
It's on my job location... Forest Fields
Right next to tram
Lots of parking space
It work's
Easy to find. Easy to pay. Direct access to excellent tram service into Nottingham city centre and in the other direction to the Clifton area further out of town.
Good pricing. Clean cars. Fun
Trams every 5 mins
Nothing to comment on - its a car park
Just a park and ride
Great network to the city
Good value and location
Excellent service as always
Yes very good
not my cup of tea
Loved the trams
Needs more spaces
Good value for park and ride into the city centre.
However, it's becoming ever more busy and harder to get a space in the early and mid week, as some people just park here - not using the park and ride. Hopefully this can be addressed to keep the facility usable by people paying for it.
Park and ride. Nothing else to say.
Great funfair,
Save place to park
Turned up on time
Loved the trams
Always use this when in notts
Glad it's free
Lots of fun
Beautiful❤
Lots of fun
If I were Irish I would say it was good for the crack[sic]. In fact I would say that if I was from any nation. The tram gives it a space age feel too. The concrete on which one can park seems very reasonable and holds its own. If you've a car just try it out!! Once a year it holds a festival where you can pretend you're in a spy film but be warned this is a temporary feeling! 😉 All in all it does what it says on the tin. Plus it's green! And finally it's surrounded by elegant scenery with plenty of waste disposal receptacles! Ooh, ooh and my mate Frank reliably informs me that there's only been one death (if incorrect please contact Frank! 😉)!
A free spacious car park at a very convient location. Just next to a tram stop and close to the Arboretum, Nottingham Girls’ High School, NTU campuses, All Saints’ Church and the city centre itself. Hyson Green Market, Asda Hyson Superstore, Medina Continental Foodstore and the New Art Exchange are also at a walking distance.
Go vacation!
Ideal for going in to town
football and running places
Good
Lots of space

Regular trams. Car park busy but quite large.
Can be tricky
Busy
Good location
Convenient place to park for getting the tram into town. Unless you are in Tier 5 restrictions. Then stay home. Don't go to town.

Nice place.

Convenient
Used for Goose Fair. Great service for £5 per car. Plenty of parking and ease of access is great. Can use this car parking for the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham city Centre and in The 1st weekend of October, the famous Goose Fair.

Very busy park and ride site, although a very large site it can still be difficult at peak times to find a space. Parking is free. The tram service from here is regular and provides a sensible way to get into the city centre or even wider such as to QMC hospital

😊😊😊😊😊😊
Really difficult to find a parking space hence people park along the route through. Used to use this park and ride daily for three years and surprised to find a note on my windscreen saying that the parking spaces were for people using the tram only! It closes completely in October for two weeks when it is Goosefair making other park & ride locations even more busy.
So easy to park and 4 stops by tram into the city centre. Much cheaper than the London based car park prices within this area. First time I came to Nottingham, the car park cost me @ £17 just to park for half the day !!!!!
Great car park out of the city centre. Jump on the team and 5 minutes, you are right in the city centre
Easiest way to get into Nottingham City centre.
Also cheapest option I found to park your car.
A little bit of of a drive through the streets to get there, I have never struggled to find a parking space, but I can see by the way some have parked that it may have times when it's full, I am guessing people who work in the city. Never the less I use it every time I visit Nottingham.
Free parking in a convenient location just a quick 5 minute tram ride from the city centre. Trams are very frequent even in off peak times, there's usually a tram every 5 minutes or so.
Of the park and rides in Nottingham this one is the best because it is closets to my house. If other park and rides were closer to my house, maybe they'd be better. But they are not, so they aren't
Free to use park n ride for the Nottingham tram system usually,,,,,,, then the Nottingham Goose fair turns up! It don't get much better!
I got my first and second vaccines here. It's so much more than just a car park.
2 playground, a cafe with toilet & a football field. What more could a child want?
Goose Fair !! this is an annual Nottingham tradition I have taken part in for as long as i can remember,
You don't have to ride any of the amusements the lights and smells are a beautiful assault on the senses that you'll not forget !
Make your way to the top end of the park for the food and grab some Mushy Peas (with plenty of mint sauce) you won't regret it :)
Wowsers! This place has got the lot - parking bays, litter, tramstops, aggressive drivers, potholes, everything you'd look for in a park and ride place. If you go there in January, be sure to experience the biting winds and sense of ennui. Recommended.
£5 for a family ticket is a fantastic price ..you can hop on and off as many times as you like on that day. Less stressful than trying to park in Notts, and great that you know you wont get a parking ticket if you stay longer..
Excellent way to get into nottingham on a tram our 5 year old granddaughter loved it
Went for my vivid vaccine, was very happy with how everything went. It was very pleasant experience, due to the staff. The system works 😀
Spacious car park and fee's are ok. Events that take place close to here sometimes are most helpful and easy access to the tram which takes you straight into the centre of town!
Massive car park, frequent trams, there are cameras in car park but not sure what they look for. Park here most times going into Nottingham, very handy location, nice walk to Nottingham if you prefer
A great place to get the tram to shop in town. If there is a downside then it's because it's often full. Drove around for 15 minutes Wednesday morning before finding a place.
Lovely big space not far out from Nottingham City centre... Great car parking space for trams or walk into Nottingham... Famous for goose fair every year... Other events are put on throughout the year... Lots of trees and space to play... Great kids area
Parked here when taking my son to NTU Open Day ~ tram service into town centre was frequent and efficient. Would definitely use again next time I'm in Nottingham.
The only way to get into town in my opinion. Park for an evening event and produce your ticket (or even just tell the inspector what you’re going to see) and there is a cheaper ticket for event park n ride.
Good place to park and accessible to bus and tram services
If your kids want to some fun, look no further. To get there, either walk or use public transport.
Great for the tram. But if you've driven this far, may as well drive a bit further into town? No good bus connections.
Very easy place to park to get in to city. Free parkjng and you can walk in to the city or jump straight on a tram which runs regularly and are inexpensive.
Free parking and Chargemaster electric car charging points. Ideal stop with a short tram ride into the city centre.
It's good parking area and play ground for people of Nottingham to enjoy and also have two big festival in year which one most children waiting for that
Forest park and ride a large free, yes free car park located next to the Forest Tram Stop. Before going any further i should make it clear that this location has absolutely nothing to do with Nottingham Forest the football team or their ground which is approx 3 miles away on the other side of town.
This forest ground used to be the site of Nottingham’s racecourse until it was moved out to Colwick, its present site. The area has not beed largely turned over the recreation grounds and of course the car park, in what is colloquially known as ‘Park and Ride’. This of course is excellent as the parking is free, and the return trip into the city centre is less than the the proverbial Starbucks, is completely fat and caffeine free and does away with the need to interact with an absolutely ghastly ‘barista’. I am joking about the barista, some of them are absolute poppets.
Something i had realised though was a rather startling and little known fact about the actual car park was that it was designed and engineered by students from Nottingham University who as an experiment with new materials and techniques engineered the surface of the car park so that each geodesic point on the surface of the car park is exactly the same distance from the centre of the earth. Therefore it is probably the flattest area of laid asphalt on the surface or the earth.
The Forest Ground is of course also the venue each October for the Goose Fair. The fair was given its charter in 1284 by Edward the 1st.
Plenty of reasonably priced parking. Park and ride into the city (4 tram stops to the city centre: 10 minute ride) using your parking ticket.
There is plenty of free car spaces in this place. As this place is just next to the Tram stop, the park becomes full. There are also CCTV surveillance in the park but still people have to take their own personal responsibilities of making sure their cars are well secured.
Plenty of parking, easy access to the trams. Staff in hand to help, really was a godsend considering I didn't know where I was going!
We went because the goose fair was on, Great fair biggest in the country so I'm told. Been going since I was a kid over 60 years now.
For covid-19 vaccination. Excellent. No complaints. Friendly, efficient, very well organised.
It's a car park. Usually plenty of spaces and adjacent to a tram stop for a quick trip into town. Well lit at night.
Attended the mobile vaccination point with my #2 son - straight thro' no problems :)
Plenty of space and easy to get to city center by public transport
Brilliant shop but the lack of social distancing in the food area has made me knock 2 ✨ off.
Good place to park and ride and hopefully goose fair will be back this year
Ideal location for the trams
Free parking in a convenient location just a quick 5 minute tram ride from the city centre. Trams are very frequent even in off peak times, there's usually a tram every 5 minutes or so.
Great park right on the edge of the city. Cafe and fantastic for running, walking or taking the dog out. Amazing priate ship for the kids and an outside gym. Loads of parking
Lots of easy free parking.
Fabulous idea. Drop your car off here and get the tram to town or else walk. Great 20 min walk from here to town through the arboretum.
Went to the covid test centre
A great place to get the tram to shop in town. If there is a downside then it's because it's often full. Drove around for 15 minutes Wednesday morning before finding a place.
Always able to get parked.
It's good parking area and play ground for people of Nottingham to enjoy and also have two big festival in year which one most children waiting for that
Perfect for access to the university buildings.
Take care to enter via main road entrance.
Google maps got confused.
I went there for my Covid Jab.
Good for taking the stress out of City parking, you can safely park, walk or catch a bus or tram into the city centre.
Good park and ride. Useful to journey into town and plenty of space to accommodate lots of cars
Eady to drive here and hop on the tram to Nottingham town for only shopping or even theathre, one if the stops is just next to it on its right side and left side of Starbucks, amazing little cafe named Homemade where they have good selection of cakes, vegan cakes, very friendly staff, chilled out atmosphere and I finally could enjoy a cuppa and a cake with my little dog sitting on my lap too. At forest recreation ground which is just next to park & ride The Goose fair is happening every year at the first week of October. It is one of the biggest fairs, and it is going on foe more then 700 years. Good vibe and some good food stalls. It isnt possible to use car park those days but it is ok to park at close Asda ( I know ... cheeky ;) ) for couple of hours and there you can buy some cheaper refreshments if you dont want to spend fortune for food at the fair. The groung is perfect for sports, there are few football grounds, toilets and a cementery on the hill.
The way its set out with alot to offer aswell as parking beutiful place with plenty of sports facilities ,playing area for the children ,cafe and aplace to sit and relax ,
Plenty of parking and easy access to the tram. Be better if it had some shade
Easy to find went for covid vaccination parking good efficient and professional
Another place for kids to play big field to run round on its got a pirate themed park a outdoor gym area and a new park is under construction it has got a lovely little cafe that sells food and refreshments
park and ride place conveniently located to reach city on tram. spacious and usually crowded on weekdays.
My favourite car park for getting in to town. Can walk it in 20 mins or get the team. Also good for Hyson Green shops.
Directions via satnav were awful.
Convenient and free parking. Great place to park and ride on tram to Nottingham train station or Nottingham city centre.
Fantastic place to park and getting the tram makes it a lot easier than trying to park in the centre of Nottingham.
Good parking area with tram next to it... but can be busy as close to Nottingham city centre
Super convenient location. Its close enough to town that its not much of a trip to the centre, but not so far in that you have to get through a ton of traffic like when trying to get to one of the inner city car parks.
I love coming to events that take place here as it's easy to access by tram and there is a ton to do.
Gets full on weekdays after 10am, cars usually parked on sidewalks and curbs where possible. Lots of free spaces on most weekends.
Never too full but the walk to city centre is only 4 tram stops save your money
Free parking, tram into Nottingham on site or walk it in 15 minutes. Costs a fortune to park in Nottingham itself.
Fantastic spot to park, only a short journey on the team, saves walking up the hill too :-)
Good parking space. Notts trams though are a nightmare to work tickets out for... as an out of towner.
Come here for goose fair. Kids love it but expensive for what it is. But my uncle sells the best mushy peas here.
Good parking facilities large open space for large events, it is centrally located with good transport
This is a very convenient place to park and walk or ride on the tram into town.
Trouble free parking
Ideal free car park for people who don't want to pay for parking, but are not put off with a 20 minute walk to the centre of Nottingham. The walk takes you up and out of the very large recreation park, over the road and down a long hill where you can bear slightly to the left and walk through the Arboretum instead.
