Lovely park in reading. Nice park for children, adults and for pets alike. It has good car park and children activities to play. It has tennis courts, Ping Pong tables, small football pitches and lots of green place. Local park for fairs etc. Specially Miniature Railways on Sundays.
M. G.
Huge park not in the center of the city but litle outside.
I visited but by the time fair was organized there.
This park is so huge to play with kids and pets.
Also cycling is best option.
Haven't seen restrooms around but will visit this park again to explore more on it.
Cheers to life!!!

Having lived in the UK for 20 years and driven past many times I've never stopped and explored this amazing landmark.i would recommend you do the same, take a couple of hours of your time and listen and learn about this amazing piece of history. We had a great time: the tour guides were fab and so knowledgeable and "3min18secondes" man inside the gallery was memorable ;)
Ps: Facilities were also good and well looked after.

Great place to go and entertain the children. Great for walks and there is place for picnic and a park for the little ones to play in. There is also big car park so no problem with parking. Some weekends they have a mini train running and you can ride on it. They have lots of events and car boots there too. Great place to go and relax and have a great time with the family. There is a reasonably priced restaurant on site which is great for the little ones too or even just to pop in for a coffee with ample parking on site.
J. M.
I mainly go there on the first Sunday of each month as I am one of the drivers at the miniature railway at the park. On the other side of the park a new playground has been installed.
M. C. B.
Large play area with a variety of different climbing frames, slides, swings, etc. plus a large sand pit. There is plenty to do for children of all ages, and for the most part it is in pretty good condition.
The no park can get busy especially in the warm weather and there is often an ice cream van.
Public toilets and a car park in close proximity to the play area. And further up into the park is a restaurant called The Mansion House. At the time of writing I believe it is a Harvester and I have always enjoyed meals there.
I would definitely recommend a visit but as it is very open plan you need to supervise your kids at all times as there is a main road close by.
W. B.
Biggest Park closest to me. Multiple large field areas that are regularly used by dog walkers & sporting events like football tournaments etc. There is a miniature railway track that you can ride on (First Sunday of each month I think), a fenced pond and the children's play area is dated but quite varied and provides plenty fun for toddlers to pre teen kids. most would be happy to play on the varied activities & apparatus for hours & hours. There is also a few picnic tables that are mostly shaded by large trees. There is dedicated fenced 5 a side/basketball courts, tennis courts, bowling green and 2 all season outdoor table tennis tables. I recall seeing media coverage that the children's play area was to be renovated/redesigned a number of times over the last 6 years or so but it looks the same unfortunately.
There is a Harvester on the grounds with a reasonable sized bar, large indoor & outdoor seating including dedicated function rooms that require pre-booking and adequate free parking for the restaurant.
K. R. B.
Good place for kids to hangout. Variety of equipments that offer kids entertainment.
No toilets available so that might be one negative point.
Have one mobile food stall with limited drink and. Food variety
W. H.
A beautiful well maintained park with natural beauty
a. c.
The kids play park is quite big but starting to show its age with some parts taken out of action. Lots of fields with football pitches and a small pond which is nice to walk around and play.
P. 2.
Nice fair with amazing colour.
F. C.
Been today for car show. Parking was a £2 voluntarily charge. lots of nice cars. There was a stage but we arrived late so it was winding down. A little traffic around but not a lot
S. G.
I just saw it from the outside but it really seems like a very good, peaceful place. I will probably go there to run, or reading a book or just go there with my big family!
It's a really big park. Wonderful 👏
D. K.
Lovely park to walk around, to sit and contemplate or picnic with family or friends a great little coffee bar, Childrens play area, sports courts wild life pond it has it all
n. q.
Brilliant park, awesome slides and a sand pit aswell as a giant field for picnics and sports 😀
m. b.
Very well kept green space, brilliant car boot sale every saturday (April to September) but no toilet facilities (reason for 3 stars)as these were locked, not good at all !
M. H.
A great public park in Tilehurst Reading with outdoor facilities for running, walking, tennis, children’s play area and Harvester Restaurant with its own free parking.
The parking is free for all and it’s a great place for jogging and running around the path encircling the park. There’s a bowling club near the Harvester restaurant, tennis courts and 6 a side football courts.
There’s no coffee shops or any other outlets selling anything but in summer an ice cream van does appear to do a great business. It’s a very convenient place to organise outdoor events with permission of the local council and there are a few events happening each year - food festival etc..
K. B.
I have used this Oark for all of my life. Great times as a kid and enjoy seeing it used by more people. Looking forward to seeing the new attractions.
M. V. V.
Nice for going for a walk!
Also in the park there's a restaurant you can have coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's called The Mansion House Harvester.
W. M.
Went for the motorshow on a sunny day. Trains were running and easy to park. Toilets closed about 4pm
J. M.
Beautiful park with Harvester restaurant at the top. You can have a running, play with your children, watch football matches and have a nice walk.
v. a.
Lovely park, enjoying it since I was a child. Playground has been the same since I was young over 30yrs ago.
A. R.
Nice grounds for kids to play around or family picnic. Plenty of football pitches, tennis court on site. Wooded area is small but nice and clean. There is cycle track through the grounds and toilets on site. In short it's brilliant recreational area which as been maintained very nicely.
B. S.
Crazy golf for a fun day out is great value for. A family 👪 of 5 had a brilliant time
T. C.
Very nice large Park. A lot of Shady area for picnics. Ample space for kids to ride bikes and play. Car park available on one side of the park
It open green grass fields and trees to enjoy. well maintained and plenty of shaded areas for extended family gatherings during these times
Also a Nice place to walk the dog or play football or games with the kids
A. g.
Really good for scooters
M. F.
Huge park. Nice facilities for kids and picnic. There were outdoor sports like basket ball, tennis. Not sure how to book for them.
T. W.
A great spot for a picnic and/or an evening walk. When we visited yesterday evening there were many people walking dogs, playing sports, or just popping in for a quick drink or a bite to eat at the Manor House on the top of the hill.
C. G.
We visited the Mansion House (Harvester), the service was quite slow considering there wasn't many people there when we arrived. I think it would be better if you could serve your own salad at the salad bar
N. L.
A nice park with lovely views it has a large children's play area, with a pub/ Restaurant in the park, it also has adults sports areas a good all-round place to visit
Y. R.
A large park with picnic areas, sport and tennis courts and a pond. There is a restaurant (closed during lock down). There are concrete paths which is helpful for wheel chair accessibility
R. P.
as a note, the carpark has a height barrier set at 1.9m. there are a few parking bays along the main road uo to the harvester but be advised the harvester carpark itself is for customers only and is apparently camera controlled.
G. O.
The best park in Reading.
I am going there every day. I have a lot of things to do. Joking _ training _ basketball_ tennis
❤❤❤
M. S.
Runned down, needs something new or just a revamp. However as I grew up in Tilehurst we would always come to this park. Great fun and fond memories.
J. T.
Great park surrounded by trees, with duck pond , children's play area and a highly recommended coffee cart - Ela's .
A. M.
One of largest parks in Reading. Includes a playground and a pub with a view
C. B.
Feels like being in the middle of the country, wonderful trees, plenty of benches
A. T.
Honestly I can't fault prospect Park... Great for children, Exercisers, dog walkers, sports enthusiasts... the park is so large that you could find a quiet spot and do some knitting if you so wish.
The park is well maintained, I frequently see litter pickers and gardeners. Feeling thirsty? Then head over to Ela'a coffee bar by the play park for the best milkshake in Reading. Or you could head to the Mansion House which Is in the centre of the park for a pint.
Play park wise it's great because there is a sandy play area for smaller children and then a larger area for older kids.
There is even a miniature railway closer to the liebenrood Road entrance.
Pre covid there used to be lots of events here too such as charity runs, festivals, carnival and even a circus.
w. j.
Very nice place for walk with family and dog , lots of open space
A. P.
Nice spacious park with good amenities. Basketball, football, tennis pitches. Playground and toilets available. Several events during weekends in the spring and summer: car boot sales, fun fairs, etc.
J. S.
Nice place for a walk. Lovely little coffee wagon near the Harvester/play park & courts
J. O.
A nice and big park with a pond and several walking paths through it. In the middle of the park, on the hill top, is a restaurant with a very nice view. Play areas for kids and lots of activities are arranged. Last month we had a vintage steam fair there.
J. E.
I thought I'd take my daughter to a park I went to as a child and she loved it, also has a lovely coffee truck
A. R.
It's great to go there with your children 🙂
S. T.
I think it would be good to have CCTV Cameras to protect people around and in the park. A lot of people use the park, it is mainly for safety. So people can use the route knowing it is monitored. Also, have distance marker in and around the park to help people keep fit. There is not enough boards to do with the nature in the park, it is their voice, nature, their home, lets respect it
L. L. T.
Huge park, excellent park to take dogs for walkies. Dog owners are considerate to pick dog poos in their little plastic bags and drop in the bins provided, thats dotted around the park. Beautiful, well maintained, clean. Pleasure to walk around hidden little pathways❤️❤️
D. A.
Nice big park pub on the hill, woods full of bluebells and snowdrops
P. F.
Park is starting to look tired with the zip line and big swing out of action but nicely maintained grounds, courts and is awaiting a half million pound investment.
T. G.
Beautiful park with so many different things to do with tennis courts, football fields, walking paths, play grounds and pubs and restaurants or you can just sit on the grass and enjoy the beautiful views.
L. A.
I love this park. I had my wedding reception in the Mansion House and my husband’s memorial tree is is along the long path. I have so many happy memories of days out here, at motor shows, fairs, fake festivals and car boot sales, both as a buyer and as a seller. I watched my son win, & loose, football matches here for over 20 years. Picnics and kite flying with the kids. Our “go to” park.
I’m really looking forward to the changes that are coming, a new play area, cafe and indoor area and for the happy days to come for me and my family.
C. m.
Great fun for the kids and a cafe for hot and cold drink with snacks at a very cheap price, loved it.
N. S.
I used to visit this park as a child, a quarter of a century ago.
I'm pretty sure the playground hasn't been painted or renovated since then - which is quite incredible.
D. B.
A large park with a lot of open space. A nice little run around the outside. Good sized kids play park, a path running across the width of it with other rougher tracks to follow across too. Has a small skate park at the west side of it with most other features on the east. A reasonable Harvester roughly in the middle with some car parking at various points. If you have kids possibly the best feature is the miniature railway run by an 'engineering club' which opens to the public on certain days and also has kids parties
K. J.
Grounds are lovely be good when its done i lookforward to it and so do my children
H. P.
Nice park for both kids and adults. The play area for kids is good. For adults, the place is good to go for a walk or jog. A small shelter for help if it rains. It's nearby children's play area.
J. B.
A large park west of Reading centre, ideal for walking, through open & wooded spaces. There is a play area for young children. Sadly there is a shortage of toilets. In the park there is a Mansion House which serves salads, main courses, desserts & drinks.
S. B.
Need more parking.otherwise nice park.great for dog walks.
L. S.
Nice, big garden, there are Football courts , play area, tolits, shower rooms.
Realy Beautiful..
T. B.
The park is awesome but the reason I've been rated it as 3 stars is that so many coloured skin people (not racist, just a warning) are constantly looking for stealing your bike, electric scooter or your bags. Not a safe place for children...
R. P.
Great park and very large with lots of outdoor things to do. There Is plenty of space to run, there is a park and also astro turf pitches for football. There is a nice pub called The Mansion at the top of the hill aswell. There is a skateboard park in one of the corners and usually carboots and other events happening most weekends.
S. G.
We had a great waitress, very attentive and always smiled. However, the food could be better. The antiquated salad bar needs revitalising and more imagination. As we were not allowed to help ourselves due to restrictions, the "chef" serving the salad simply smothered my salad with dressing and rendered it almost inedible.
The sundae I had for dessert lacked the white chocolate element described on the menu and the passion fruit was not nice at all. Shame.
However, we still enjoyed the meal for the most part, it was father's Day and our little boy kept us all entertained.
c. c.
This is Nice open space with a variety of different parts including grass parkland, sports pitches, a play area which is pretty well quipped. There is a wooded hill with a restaurant at the top and at least one parking area. In corner is a model trail track belonging to a reading club.
C.
The best relaxing space in Reading.
J. N.
Great park plenty to do and explore
T.
Park's nice, but the coffee van is great. Lovely people working there, tasty & local brand of coffee, and almond paste croissant's are damned good too. Thanks for serving us coffee on our Sunday walks :)
D. L.
Nice open space, visited for Carters Steam Fair
R. W.
Nice place to walk the dog and take children
R. D.
Absolutely Beautiful Park!
One Of My Favourite Places In The World! I've Got So Many Wonderful Memories Of Times Spent In This Park With My Family Going Back As Far As I Can Remember, & Many More To Come! It Has Some Amazing History
Beautiful Woods & So Much To Explore And Enjoy!
The Mansion House Is Quite A Nice Place To Eat & Have A Drink
But The Best Part About It Is The Fantastic Views Of Our Lovely Town, The Train Centre In The Corner Of The Park On The Bath Road Is Great For Kids Too.
S. M.
Nice place to spend a few quiet minutes whilst visiting Reading. There is a great little mobile cafe there serving excellent beverages and cakes.
H. N.
what a lovely place .. have been there with my baby foe buggy walk.. not crowdy very spacious and peaceful.. great place for picnic/gatherings
C. S.
Beautiful walk been in tilehurst for 30 years and never really took full advantage of the park, it's a must even for the locals, little coffee stand near carpark, play area for the kids and lovely for your dogs, there is toilets but u dont want to be using them as been vandalised (shame)
A. W.
Parked in the car park and went for a walk with a friend.
Sometimes meet friends for a picnic in the good weather.
R.
The views are amazing. The place is very wide and there is a trail perfect for walking.
R. I.
It's a nice park; good sized open spaces, big trees for a shade, small skate park, children's play area, bookable 5 a side pitches, tennis courts and basketball court. Litter is an issue. Crowded when weather nice, otherwise great.
Y. E.
Great area, and mansion house pub/restaurant
A. H.
Wonderful park, the largest in Reading, we walk there several times a week......needs many more waste bins though, too far apart and nowhere near the seats.
L. M.
Ideal for dog walking, lots of open space, great sized park. Paths throughout but also lots of green space so you can vere away from the pavements if wanted. Generous car park and there is a playground too.
R. C.
Park which was originally the grounds to a large house. A good children's play area and basketball courts. There is also large open spaces so great for dogs. There is a parking space which can be accessed from the Tilehurst Road and also a small parking space at the rear (by the asda store) which is seldom used and takes you straight to the rear quieter part of the park so good for dog walkers.
B. “. S.
Good park but crowded.
S. D. G.
I love prospect Park it's great for walking the dog or having a picnic. The park has some beautiful old trees,
S. O. R.
A family fun day out to be had in Prospect park 46 hectares of green grass and walks and trails. Mansion house is in the centre of park. Lovely place to call to for lunch tea coffee or have a beer or glass of wine. Top place for Sunday Roasts. Fabulous place bring children of all ages. Big play area for very young to kids who can run and play. Nice place for a cycle or walk at your ease take in this big park. Good place to bring the Dog. But kept on a Leash and under control.
M. M.
A huge park. A large car park. Available toilets.
S. V.
The best park in Reading, huge grounds and has its own Harvester
O. B.
Lovely park and excellent playground for different age groups. Very friendly atmosphere and lots of fun for little ones. Highly recommended!
K. P.
Really great place to take the kids on a nice day. The play park is really good and the rest is great for picnics and kicking a ball around. The mansion house is just up the hill too for a bite to eat and a drink. It would be nice to have public toilets in the park but other than that it's great.
J. W.
So lucky to have this park on our doorstep. Hats off to RBC for currently managing it so well. The coffee van is a very welcome addition - hope we can keep it!
A. W.
Great place for families and children's of all ages. There are two play areas to suit all ages from toddler to adult! Also has tennis courts, football courts, basketball court and masses of field! In the middle you'll find the Harvester Mansion House. All day fun!
A. R.
It's a very large area to enjoy. There's a bit of forrest a bit of grass to play, a playground nearby and Harvester. You will find everything you need here. Area to cycle, play ball, picnic or simply relax. There's enough space for everyone to fit!
S. S.
Lovely park with tennis courts, children's play area, room to stretch your legs and three tennis courts. There is ample free parking. Lots of organised activities take place there like football. It is quite hilly, great for getting your cardio but a bit taxing for a gentle stroll
D. P.
Free parking, great green areas well kept with pathways and trees. Lovely playground for different ages, with sand pit, slides, climbing walls and swings. Lovely pond with benches around. Really good for a walk, run, picnic or a day with the family. Quite a big park, it has much more but we did not get to see all areas. The toilets are a bit rundown though which was a let down.
A. B.
This is my kids favourite park. There’s so much to do there and a harvester at the top of the hill. There’s a large field to play on and I’m telling you now, the picture is like prospect park 15 years ago. It’s very large and the playground has a multi-use jungle gym type thing, a high but very safe slide and a sand area for the little ones full of lovely soft sand all white.
G. G.
Lovely big park with lots of grass, some woodland and a play area. Downsides: the pond is very dirty. The fence to the play area and zipwire are broken and have not been fully repaired for some time.
R. E.
Brilliant park with plenty of open space. Great for walking your dog or simply for having a leisurely stroll. There is a really nice play area for children and if you fancy a drink and / or a bite to eat then you can visit the restaurant in the old mansion house at the top of the park. Great views from here incidentally.
S. C.
Fantastic park with plenty to do, my daughter loves the playground and the duck pond in particular. Duck pond could perhaps do with some tidying and landscaping but still lovely.
H. 0.
I'm up here a lot walking my dog. Huge area to walk around. Loads of friendly people also walking their dogs and a big park for kids to play in. The harvester is just at the top Inside mansion house which is a great location after walking.
R. G.
Great place for the kids, and adult's alike. Large car park, tennis 🎾 court's, plenty of space to run around, play football. Nice play ground for the kids. There is also the Harvester restaurant too.
D. “. L.
It's a good park with lots of parking spaces available. There is a kids play area, a basketball and football courts. Lots of room for a dog walking or to engage in some sports .
H. O. (.
In Prospect park the playground is always busy, however my children never have to wait for anything because there's so much to do. Have a great time
The main disappointment in the graffiti that's been left to stay. Some so old it's weather worn and more gone on top. Would be nice to see it cleaned up. Also some of the bouncy bits have lost their bounce.
Lovely flat open areas to play games on. Dappled/tree shaded areas for picnics. Ample parking.
There is a road going through the middle of the park that leads to 'Harvester' etc. This is handy but also a little concerning when crossing with little ones and people ignore the speed limit. There is a grass verge which I assume runs the length of the road on both sides. This probably keeps cars on the road and prevents people from randomly running across the same.
A. T.
The park is a well maintained area that is great as a place for walking and exercising. A gentle stroll on the flat areas or a brisk walk or run on the incline as you rise up the hill towards a good place to meet and eat on top of the hill..great parking ..public toilets and enclosed areas for safe recreation with your younger ones.. Dog walking is a breeze with such a size of park..
M. H.
Amazingly large area to allow dogs to run around, to play sports, for kids to play on swings and slide and is an amazing place for family picnics. Even has a skatepark!
R. B.
Great place for kids and dogs!
J. W.
Lovely park to walk round. We visited in the snow and had fun sledging. Lovely views across the park. There is free car parking available too. Children's play park is good fun although quite often busy on a nice day.
M. A. H.
Very good park, this park caters for all ages. You have kids section enclosed. A big green lawns. You can play football or cricket. There is a little pond but in the woods. Freak place for evening walks.
A. P.
I love this park in the West of Reading. It has a nice playground for kids, dedicated areas to play football, tennis, basketball, table tennis, ramps for skating / cycling, internal paved paths, a pond with ducks, a restaurant, bowling green and there's plenty of parking. Not everything is in the same area so worth checking the map if going for the first time or looking for something specific.
H. T.
Many events held here including boot fairs and carnival. Nice playground for children, small courts for hire, plenty of parking and lots of space for a jog or a walk. You can watch football matches, play bowls, have a nice meal in the manor house restaurant, watch the miniature railway. There is something for everyone!
A. W.
A nice park, with plenty of free parking.
The pub is ok but the food, while cheap, is only ok. Not brilliant. Good for snacks and stuff but not for a delicious meal.
Park.has a large expanse of grass land, good for walking and running (there is a weekly park.run)
A decent kids play park although a few items were awaiting repair last time we visited.
Also.football pitches, basketball courts and tennis courts all bookable through the council.
K. Z.
Good space for kids to run around. Good kids play area. A bit crowded at peak times given the covid19 distance rules. No exceptionally excellent views in the surroundings but it is what a park needs to be.
N. C.
Gorgeous Park, easy access. Play park for children and usually ice cream van parked up close too it. Plenty of green fields for a walk and let your dog run free. There is a pond in the middle, can you find it? Football courts are there too plus at top of the hill nice harvester restaurant.
S. A. S.
Beautiful place to go and hangout with family.
There's alot of place and space.
D. k.
Very good park for children. Football and tennis courts, big grounds for walk and other plays.
I believe best park in Reading.
A. B.
Wonderful place to spend some quality time
N. P.
Great park, which is well maintained, great for running around I believe if you run around its perimeter it's just over 2 miles and incorporates some decent inclines when on Tilehurst road part, also has a nice but fairly old looking play park and sand Pitt, various basketball ball courts, some decent tennis courts too, also if you feel a bit pekish and when we are out of lockdown there also a harvester slap bang in the middle of it
B. w.
This is a large park with tennis courts, all weather football pitch ,car park and a wooded area. Great park to run around with hills and woods all just under 2 miles per lap and you can run on the outside on paths without having to cross roads. It also has the Mansion House inside with large carpark where you can food and drinks.
G.
The Park is nice..... The kids play area is really good for kids Aged 6+!!!
Nothing really for kids under 6 that's why it only get's "3 Stars ***" There is a under 6 sandpit/ climbing frame and swings..... But due to this part of the park having 0 shade the sand as well as the swing sits being black they both burn everyone's feet and legs if they touch them due to the sun betting down on them all day...
K. D.
Huge park with plenty of parking. Looked pretty clean and did not come across dog poo on my visit. They also have tennis courts and 5 a side footy courts.
s. d.
Family oriented park, good facilities, large. Sadly lacking a path through the grass to do a full circuit on a wet day, great for sunny days.
k. r.
It's a lovely park kept well. It's good for walking taking the dog. If you feel a bit peckish you have the harvester they do great meals or just have a drink.
M. A.
Large park area with playing fields, small tennis courts and five-a-side pitches. Good place to give the kids and dogs a run about. Also home to a Harvester of variable quality.
a. b.
Lovely park, and nice space for family, kids and friends either for just chilling, walking, or just gathering, I would recommend 🤗
K. G.
Nice space to walk .play park for children .tennis and football courts. Toliets .can play ping pong .
U. W.
Best park in reading, great for cycling and my kids love the play area. Trains are worth visiting and there's always something going (Carter's stream fair, circus, fireworks etc. Also the car boot on Saturday mornings always a good place to pick up a few bargains.
M. S.
Nice park with facilities for football and tennis too. Hopefully the planned development projects would make it even better.
M. R.
Decent park, has got all the amenities. Good play area for both the little and the big kids. can get busy on sunny days and they often have car boot sales on. worth a visit !
M. W.
The bluebells have been fab this year and my dog loves running through the long grass.
J. C.
Large area of woods to walk around as well as playing fields. On a busy day parking can be difficult as part of the car park is being used as a covid testing station.
M. S.
Easily my favourite of the Reading parks. Good playground for kids all ages up to 8 or 9 - maybe older. Plenty of activities and space for thos activities - including a ride-on model railway which occasionally has live steam locos. Shh - not many people know about this! Currently amazing value for money, and superb entertainment for kids and grown up kids.
J. S.
Nice park.always busy
M. A.
Great park.
D. Y.
Good place for all the family with a nice big field a play area for kids and outdoor courts and a small hill'd forest to take a walk around
S. L.
We all love the park. it has always been an important part of our family life.still miss our old friends ( the fallen trees) but making good friends with the new ones. We would love to help refresh the pond.xx Love you Prospect Park. xx Sonia.
S. J.
Enormous garden....plan picnics or get together
I. G.
A large, well-kept park. You can take a walk, play football or have a picnic. There are toilets in the park. There is also a restaurant in the park where you can enjoy a tasty meal.
P. W.
Massive park- lovely place to walk, sit or have a meal in the mansion house- easy to park
T. H.
Nice open park for meandering dog walks. Car park height barrier set at 1.9m which means VW campers don't fit under it! There is on road parking though
G. D.
nice open area, good park for the kids and huge fields for the dogs.
A area towards the west side that is overgrown like a meadow. The pub in the middle has so much potential but not the nicest.
M.
Beautiful park, plenty of grass and trees. The Mansion House Harvester pub on the top of the hill with lovely view. Great place to go on a sunny day
S. U. F.
Magical beauty and mesmerising nature will give you peace of mind and relax your worries in this park. The best park in Reading
A. G. J.
Great place to walk and play
A. K.
Quite Big, quite green and in the West part of the town. Great place to walk/run/exercise. Amenities pretty standard. Nice walkways and paths, a few courts. There is a harvester pub restaurant in the middle of it. Nice break from the urban environment.
R. S.
Georgeous wll kept large park with something for everyone incl carboot sale most Saturdays and other showsand festivals throughout the year
P. E.
The duck pond makes me a little sad. Otherwise this is a decent and very big park in an otherwise urban area.
M. A.
Prospect Park is a green lung area of decent proportions to the west of Reading beside the A4. Many events are held here including classic and custom car shows. This is a park which is sensibly run to allow events to take place in a more central area than the more usual farmers field.
A. S.
Home of the Harvester,we went for Breakfast with Santa, kids loved it.Well done Harvester

Great grounds. I used to run around here when I was a child and also attend to the various events which were on at different times during the year. Whilst a child I saw an older Asian man pull a knife on another child so beware and keep an eye on your children.
It's a great place for sledging during the snow season or walking your dog at other times. There is a small lake on site with ducks, tennis and basketball courts.
Reading borough council maintain the grounds so any problems feed back to them, you can usually find them drinking tea in the large shed by the main car park.
A. S.

Prospect park has always been a very inviting place for all kinds of people and animals, every time we go it's been a pleasant and good place.
A. T.
There are no "attractions" except ping-pong tables, playgrounds and tennis/ football fields (or a nearby restaurant), but it's a wide lovely linden smelling almost mystical family park!
M. H.
There are rats running around the pond and I guess that's a sign that we can't afford to look after the park.
Plenty of grassy space otherwise and some good mature trees.
K. S.
Nice place to take the kids for the day. You can tire them out in the park then take a short walk up to the mansion house for some food. Always lots of activities going on down there (fairs, carboots, festivals, food stalls)

Prospect Park is a wonderful green space with beautiful trees and a lake. In parts of it you could be in open countryside, not the middle of Reading!!

Always a lovely place to go with the kids. So good to see it back open again. Kids can spend hours there
R. r.
Attended the Tilehurst Festival. Disappointing to say the least.
The toilets provided had no water to flush at the start. The music didn't start til nearly 2pm instead of the promised 12:30 with no explanation.
Apart from food & alcohol there wasn't anything for adults, and as for the "hard standing" parking for blue badge holders - ok there was concrete, I will grant you that, but it was uneven and the grass hadn't been cut around the edges making it very hard for wheelchair users.
I won't be back next year!
J. 7.
Beautiful place for me and my pug to take a walk. Love it, go at least 4 times a week and enjoy ut everytime 😀
L. G.
Lovely park with some very nice wooded areas. Plenty of space for activities or just a good long walk. One of the best in Reading.

Visit the duck pond often. Come most days now to hunt for painted rocks with the children. Look out for them on your visit and post them on the tilehurst rocks Facebook page. Simple but fun game keeps the children entertained for hours.
