Reviews of Eastgate Multistorey Car Park
B. B.
This is a great car park when trying to access West Quay and on a busy day because its pretty well hidden and not many people (in my experience) know about it. It has the added benefit of being at most a 4-5 minute walk from West Quay (if not less).
It's a fairly large multi-storey that you have to go all the way around (depending on the direction you come from) to access as the road at the entrance/exit is one way. I have been to this car park during busy days in Southampton (e.g. football matches, uni open days) and there is always space to park.
There are plenty of pay machines at the entrance/exit and there is an entrance on the other side with another pay machine to use - as far as I'm aware they haven't been broken since I've used this car park so you can pay for your ticket with ease.
The only downside with this car park (which is usually the same for every other multi-storey) is that it often smells very very bad and can be a bit grimey but other than that its a brilliant place to park.

Read that a lot of homeless people or down & outs frequented this car park, but after having a job finding anywhere close by, decided to take a chance. Parked one floor up and all was fine. Not particularly cheap but as we were on a weekend away broke our usual rule of not going anywhere where you have to pay for parking. (Just another form of tax on your shopping) Cost was £3-50

The signage to get there could be clearer but it is a easy car park to navigate and well priced compared to the beach car parks.

I recently parked my car here for 4 nights while I travelled over to the Isle of Wight, only costing me £17.50 for the period. Very reasonably priced. The car park is a short 5 minute walk from the red funnel ferry terminal, so great for travellers to the Isle of Wight. Note that the car park is shut between midnight and 5am, so plan accordingly. Will definitely be parking here again when I next travel to the Isle of Wight - a lot cheaper than paying £100+ for the boat with a vehicle.

Best car park around. Not expensive as Gunwarf and still close Historic Dockyard and shopping centre

Affordable parking. Parked from Sat afternoon and collected car the following Saturday (as had to stay in a nearby apartment without carpark available) and only paid £31. I just had to keep an eye out on my car for break ins but did not have that problem. So convenient to the high street.

good car park, but busy at times.

Park here for easy access to the town centre, etc.

Not to bad but expect to have go up a level or 2 after 8.30 as everyone tries to park on the ground floor. Stairs or lift validate ticket before going to the car or you can't get out once at the barrier

It was nice to see a gentleman cleaner, cleaning the entrance. He was very polite.

£5.50 for overnight parking from about 7pm to 10am.
No homeless or drug users when we left or got back to car. It was clean, quiet and spacious and even signs to say no emptying or filling fuel tanks so I felt safe knowing my tank wouldn't be emptied when I got back. Machines accept card and coin and you pay on the way out with the ticket they give you on entry.

Nice carpark local to Winchester centre. One niggle is some levels dont have ticket machines that take cards.

I use this car park a lot for convenience and the sensible prices. However, my car was recently damaged here by another driver, so be careful!
A. L.
Parked up with plenty of spaces. Very reasonable pricing for parking all day. We didn't account for the timings of us leaving coincided with the Southampton football fans who were going home after the game so a bit of a delay exiting.
M. R.
Great easy access good spaces reasonably priced too

As car parks go this is good, losing a point for the homeless person that always sits by the ticket machines where you pay. Very intimidating for my wife .
J. W.
Easy parking and very reasonable prices
R. N.
Plenty of spaces and it's in a central location. Pricing is reasonable too.
There are usually homeless and/or drunk people next to the pay machines, which don't make it very inviting, especially at night.
S. C.
Yes it's okay. Prefer smaller car park.

Not a bad car park. It pretty central and there're plenty of places. And it's cheap if you need to stay a whole day.
L. P.
Good car park, however could use some cleaning as it's always dirty
L. C.
Always electric charging bays available. Good value for parking in the city centre and close to the high street.
N. D.
Its a good car park for access to Southampton City centre at no greater cost than the WestQuay car park and is a good overflow on busy days when the traffic around West Quay retail park gets very slow and busy
B. S.
Curbs are far too high and entrance is tight as hell as All the concrete damaged curbs are testament too,be careful you have been warned
P. S. K.
Reasonable price parking, not the cleanest car park but certainly not the dirtiest I've been to.
