Amazing park for children to entertain them for a long period of time. There are absolutely amazing pieces here for all ages.

Absolutely GORGEOUS park after me and the Mrs have finished our DAILY clean up and been around disposing of EVERYBODY ELSES DISGUSTING LITTER!!! If people were more conscientious and caring of the local environment it would always be a beautiful little retreat right in the centre of town :)

We enjoyed the playground after a shopping trip. The playground itself is nice, but it's much more appropriate for older children. The climbing frame in the middle means you can not see one end to the other. Also keep in mind there are busy roads on two sides of the playground, I wouldn't want to visit regularly due to car pollution.

Nice place to come with the wife and kids for a stroll or to play on the swings etc.. Shops all around as it's in the centre of the city, not to crowded and the play area is very clean! Disabled friendly and easy to manoeuvre around, parking all around the park!.. 5*😊

It's a lovely park with great play facilities for the kids, and it kept my toddlers entertained for over 4 hours today. My only criticism is that there's nowhere in the play area to change their nappies and no public toilets. It would be great if that could be added, and maybe have a little designated picnic area or even a café. Leaving to go to the toilet or get food would have meant upsetting the kids so it was a choice between that or changing their nappies on a rickety bench.

Lovely park , all the parks in and near Southampton city centre are lovely. Houndwell Park has a big children play area. Really good paths for the disabled. For mobility scooters. Bilkes or just on foot. Near the bars clubs and shopping. And not far from Westquay shopping centre. There is plenty seating for a sit down. Plenty busses from all over Southampton pass by this park or nearby. Taxi and scooter terminals to get you from A to B if you so wish. Houndwell Park leads on to other parks by crossing one road with to each park. Beautiful the parks are. Well kept , flowers , mature trees and shrubs and lovely architecture as you walk from park to park. Give it a go they are lovely

Beautiful park and play area

Standard town centre park, not too big, not too extravagant. It's just kind of there. I love grass and it's well kept so it gets a thumbs up from me. The entertainment is surprisingly decent. Last week saw an anti-vax march whilst eating me chicken and chips.

Kids love the park.. it has shady trees and garden chairs for adults to rest while kids can play on sand , carousel , swing etc. No restroom so please plan accordingly. Can easily spend two hours ( with snacks ) for kids. Also, suitable for picnics and relaxed get togethers.

We went there for the playground and it was really cool. It had all manner of climbing and swinging equipment for toddlers and bigger kids as well. Room for parents to sit down. There are like 4 distinct but effectively contiguous parks in a row there so the entire area is great for taking a stroll.

Probably the best park in Southampton, but it does get extremely busy, especially on the weekend. Lots of climbing areas, and slides, but not much in terms of swings. So if your child has preference for a swing, then this park isn't for you

Great park with plenty for kids to do. There is a titanic shipwreck climbing frame, large sand pit with pulley system, another large climbing frame as well as the usual swings, roundabout and monkey bars ect. The only drawback is inside the castle climbing frame smells strongly of urine (this is every time we go)

A small park dominated by a really good play area for kids of all ages. Lots of variety in the activities although some could do with repair (especially the musical instruments). Keep in mind that it can get extremely busy. There is nearby on street parking but it's not cheap.

The playground is fenced in so that the little ones cannot leave. You can relax here nicely and "let the children run". There are enough seats available so that you can easily find a place to sit. (Original) Der Park ist sehr schön, vor allem an Sonnentagen. Ein Spielplatz der sehr geeignet ist für Kinder bis ca. 10 Jahre. Park und Spielplatz sind sehr gut gepflegt. Der Spielplatz ist eingezeunt, so dass die gabz Kleinen nicht weg können. Man kann hier schön entspannen und die Kinder "laufen lassen". Sitzplätze sind genügend vorhanden, so dass man unbesorgt ein Platz zum Sitzen findet.
