Reviews of Mayflower Park
H. M.
Before I came to Southampton I rly thought it had beautiful beaches and waves but it turned out to be a port city rather than a seaside city. There's an ice cream truck in the park owned by a very friendly old man. I mean it doesn’t taste like wow but still worth trying.
B. J. (. K.
It is not a swimming spot or a beach but you can enjoy an ice cream from Dave or watch cruise ships. Small park allow to make a picnic. You can play a basketball here too.
K. B.
A popular place for a leisurely stroll and watching the large ships pass through.
A café and an ice cream van, plenty of open grassland and parking to while away the time. Can get busy with ferry traffic and the annual Boat Show.
V. D.
Nice place to spend evening!! View of Port is awesome and you can see cruise departures with beautiful background.
J. C.
Very lovely place watching the ships and ferry's
A.
Really nice location to see the sea in Southampton. Perfect spot for sunset viewing
L. R.
Lovely afternoon visit with my Dad to reminisce about my late mother. A favourite spot of theirs.
S. M.
Beautiful park next to the old royal pavilion and red funnel ferry dock. Great views of the historic royal dock and pavilion as well as southampton water. Next to cruise ship dock so can often find people waving goodbye to cruise ships as they leave for their adventures. Play park and basketball park available with small shop selling hot and cold good. Very close to city centre, parking charges however do apply. Great for photography!!
L.
Such a lovely spot to taken children, great play park and sand pit , separate area for a kids trampoline.
Small cafe and Mr Whippy ice-cream van .
2 hours parking for a £1 which is great .
Top it all the big cruise ships park up close bye .
Definitely recommend a trip .
I. T.
Not what you may call a proper seaside (or riverside) park. Just a plain flat field with few trees, bushes and benches. And car park all around. Looks more like a fete ground in the middle of the port. Very windy too. No cafes or restaurants, nothing like beach or lido. There used to be a beautiful Royal Pier, only wreck remained. But views on cruise ships are quite entertaining, you can approach a ship berthed at City Cruise terminal (berth 101), usually it’s one of Royal Caribbean’s behemoths ‘of the seas’, quite closely to its aft and to watch it departing at 18:00 on Sundays. Cunard’s Queens, MCS’s Princesses or P&O ships also sail very closely. Place is frequently sunny and it’s good place to bring kids or dogs, or have a stroll along River Test. Car park is cheap, easy to pay via Pay By Phone app.
A. B.
Visited on a sunny afternoon watching the ship's go out. Great chilled afternoon
T. C.
The park is mostly a car park. There is not much going for it except views of the ships. It’s underdeveloped for the potential it has.
T. G.
A nice little park that got taken over by dom whiting with drum and bass on a bike. This the finish point
J. A.
I was here for the Seawork 2022 exhibition.
Great place, great atmosphere.
M.
Play area could get some improvements, but apart from that it's a great spot for the ship enthusiasts - Red Funnel ferry and different cruise ships are docking right next to it. There is a dog walking site, play area, ice cream parlor and a basketball field. You need to pay for parking.
S. K.
Great place to visit we watched the ship leave was so lovely to see. Had a spot of ice cream too! The ice cream van sells tea and coffee too for that breezing day!
R. M.
It was just a feel good park on the quay. Went for a walk and saw the only cruiseliner that was docked. It really was a beautiful evening🥰 Bit cold though but then its autumn 🤗. Go visit its worth it💞
T. S.
I've not been to Mayflower Park for such along time & it was a great place to meet up with my niece & great nephew.
Also, I've been meaning to take my dog Ozzy there as I used to take my old dog there when I was younger as it gave me some great memories.
Mayflower Park was very clean & tidy so well done to all concerned for all who keeps the park a pleasant place to visit.
When it gets warmer I shall visit again hopefully to have a picnic.
s. c.
Great boat show, lots of boats and yachts to venture onto and dream about owning(once you win the lottery)
Lots of stalls selling items you never thought you ever needed.Good chandlery items at a reasonable price..Food prices ok but we took a picnic and plenty of drinks.
Toilets were clean and tidy.
Lots of walking so a good soak in a bath afterwards to ease your aching legs
Overall a great day out!!
H. G.
The boat show was truly fantastic. There's a lot to do with so many pubs, restaurants, and shops.
R. C.
This rating is for the Southampton boat show 2019 held there.
Yes the wonderful weather this year did make a huge difference compared to wet near gales last year they had.
However the show continues to improve and the number of exhibitors seems to grow or at least hold steady with a great range of boats and gear on offer.
The site still offers a good work out up and down the bridges if you hop around the various sections and the shopping centre there also affords the not so boaty members another option.
The only criticism is that the try a boat organisation is not that good, soon becomes overwhelmed and spaces on the bigger craft gone.
H. B.
Great in summer, not so great in winter where the park is exposed to wind and can be cold for kids. Great views of the cruise ships and above all, this is wher you can find the best ice cream van in town.
L. N.
This park has the potential to very nice, sadly it is neglected and has very little to offer visitors apart from it's interesting views of Southampton docks. This is particularly disgraceful as Mayflower park sits in such a prominent place within the city and combined with the derelict ruin of Royal pier and a large car-park for the IOW ferries, combines to form an extremely uninspiring waterfront for this city. Come on Southampton City Council! Where's that gleaming Spitfire monument at least, that so much money was spent on deciding what it would look like? The Waterfront is Southampton's front door and should project a good image.
T. P.
Was the jubilee festival very very busy lots of fun
HCB had an area to play some cricket.
C. L.
Had a good day out here. My visit was during the Southampton boat show but the area was great. Went out on the pontoons to get a closer view of the water. Most certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. I will definitely go again with the family
S. J.
A great place to eat your fish and chips and watch the Cruise Liners depart on a Sunday evening. Nice open area for the kids to play!
A. R.
Great place to come and see the cruise ships docking and making way. Also great views across the water. Only problem is the boy racers gathering from time to time.
J. S.
Mayflower Park a green park by Southampton Water opposite the Mayflower monument. Small cafe and toilets pay parking on the Water front. Good place for watching the ships or just getting some sea air. There's also a kids play area with swings trampoline sandpit etc by the cafe.
T. H.
Great place to ship spot. Pity it gets closed too often over the summer for commercial shows
S. N.
Airy..nice and ok for kids to have a run in sea wind. But not scenic enough for it to be an attraction, which was my expectation.
j. “. m.
Lovely place to go and chill , looking over the Southampton waters to Hythe and marchwood . Cafe Park and ice cream van . Lots of benches to sit. Enclosed childs place area next to the cafe. Restaurant next to Mayflower park and bars and places to eat and drink close by. Plus the ferry to the I O W and Hythe. Parking in the Park is £1 for 2 hours.
P. K.
good place to let the kids run around before going for a walk, or dinner in the near by great restaurant. there is a bistro with chips nex to the playground with icecream too!!
s. b.
I love it down here, its so serene and tranquil, love watching the boats coming in and out :)
R. B. K. (.
A perfect place and view for summer. Capture a view while a ship MSC Virtuosa departing.
c. y.
Amazing sea view and everything with balletic grace.
J. F.
Wonderful little park next to the port. Amazing sunsets! And outdoors movies!
A. A. (.
Its a nice place to go visit and relax at for a bit. I went with a friend and just enjoyed the scenery, the large ships and the cool breeze. Definitely a good place to be especially on a hot day. Its more of a scenic and relaxing place rather and does have a basketball court
J. D.
Mayflower Park overlooks the water at the Southampton docks right near the red funnell Isle of Wight ferry. Its also a good place to spot cruise 🛳 and tbf they are massive so you can't miss them
B. L.
Come here to enjoy a walk, watch nature as it changes around you, and grab an icecream too!
A. G.
Last great open public waterfront in the town. Great to see all sort of shipping, from the enormous container ships to cruise ships and liners.
m. E.
Nice place to park car and watch boat's going by as it's right on Southampton Harbour front
D. M.
Beautiful scenery, open space and a stunning location! Went there recently for sunset watching and was not disappointed at all.
A. D.
Really beautiful park - unfortunately motor bike racers, unconsiderate drivers and filthy toilets contribute to the rating
V. E.
A great place for a the kids.
Safe play area, a kiosk selling ice creams and hot food. Plenty of space to kick a ball. We watched huge container ships and cruise ships.we enjoyed the small shoreline by the old pier. But there was no shade.
P. M. D.
Lovely watching the big ship's leaving the port and being by the sea park nice and the ice cream van in the park does the best ice cream ever
I. T.
Ok if you like looking at industrial waterfront. Prefer a beach looking out at the ocean. Just avoid using the public loos there they are really disgusting 😥
E. N.
Great place to watch the ships going in and out of the Dock
S. M.
Boat show was brilliant..lots to see and found the boat we are going to buy in the future..
W.
Lovely place to view Cruise Ships late at night :)
t. v.
Excellent place to watch the cruise ships.
S. C. (.
Mesmerising view of the sea, and few cruise ships parked on the side. Very pretty during sunset
M. H.
Small activity park for little ones. Parking pay and display. Payment via app possible. Not much beach as such just a waterfront. But it’s nice little place to sit and relax at times. Ice cream and coffee shop is there inside. This is just beside the Isle of weight ferry red funnel berth so you can see the ferries going and coming. Also large cruise ship berth just on the other side. Would recommend visiting the place.
D. F.
Nice place to and some chips by the water
t. l.
Great place to relax and enjoy the view
m. b.
What a lovely day!! Went and collected the wife from work, and met her in mayflower Park! Beautiful sunshine and the ice-cream van for the first time in a millennium was there!! Beautiful place to come sit and chill out and a small cafe there which normally is buzzing all through the summer!! Was busy today...Great to bring the family, and a walk to! Disabled friendly, plenty of space and spaces for parking! 5*
R. E.
Lovely to sit here and gaze across Southampton water. Always something moving. Often cruise ships. Friendly ice cream man who also sells cups of tea. Plus a kiosk selling hot food. Kiddies play park. Lots of parking space. An asset to Southampton.
J. S.
My 43rd boat show here today !
K. R.
Quite a nice park. Some grass, some parking, lots of water one side. When I visited last there was a boat show thing on with people in pink trousers moaning about the FTSE falling and them having less cash to buy a new mast or something like that.
S. P.
Great spot for watching cruise ships leaving 101 + berths. Photo taken while on Royal Caribbean Explorer of the seas
Y. Z.
Always lovely to visit especially during the summer time when it isn't that windy. You get a clear view of the Harbour, New Forest, ferries to Isle of Wight, and an ice cream to chill out the time.
A. P.
Great place to observe the cruise ships berthed at the quayside.
C. D.
Nice place to sit in your car and watch the river with a coffee ☕
P. H.
Great place to see the cruise ships!
J. B.
Peaceful place to see lovely to cruising ships
C. J.
Lovely place. Great view of the ships. Lots of people having picnics but all sat on the floor, could do with a few tables and chairs.
N. W.
This is pretty good as a 'go to happy place' never get any agro/ or hassle here, theres plenty to look at, theres plenty of free parking, as long as you play 'car park chicken' with any car parking attendant, but to be fair here you never see them! Theres toilets, theres a green if you got animals or want a picnic or both. Theres a little cafe there also I think, or it's a ice cream kiosk, theres also a little play park for your kids. It's right on the I.O.W ferry terminal Southampton if you're at a loose end before your trip. You can usually see 1 or more, sometimes many more Cruise liners here. There nearly always a ice cream van there at most times of year, however you won't see him there on boat show 10 days which is usually sometime in September, at which time you wont be able to get into the park by car or any other way.
G. S.
It's a sweet little park, some different things for the girls to go on. Lots of seating around for adults and to have picnics. Great views and a cafe to get fish and chips, an ice cream or drink.
M. P.
Cruise ships and more ...spotting in any weather..
m. j.
Relaxing place. And the ice-cream is too good
j. “. m.
Lovely place to go and chill , looking over the Southampton waters to Hythe and marchwood . Cafe Park and ice cream van . Lots of benches to sit. Enclosed childs place area next to the cafe. Restaurant next to Mayflower park and bars and …

Lovely looking area but the toilets are disgusting

Nice relaxing location with plenty of open space. Hot food and ice cream well received from on-site kiosk.
K. R.
Quite a nice park. Some grass, some parking, lots of water one side. When I visited last there was a boat show thing on with people in pink trousers moaning about the FTSE falling and them having less cash to buy a new mast or something like that.

Really relaxing place and good view from the sea .

Lovely watching the big ship's leaving the port and being by the sea park nice and the ice cream van in the park does the best ice cream ever
J. M.
A breath of sea air .. plenty of shipping to view. Children's pirate themed playground . Good parking. Great outing.
F. L.
Really relaxing place and good view from the sea .
T. H.
Very busy due to new cruise liner in
M. P.
Cruise ships and more ...spotting in any weather..
P. W.
Lovely view and plenty of parking
N. W.
Mayflower Park is the place to watch all the cruise liners such as the Queen Mary, leave on yet another voyage across the world.
People line the shores, some in cars with their binoculars, some on the shore - eating ice-creams, having bbqs or picnicking as the great modern liners sail by majestic in their height.
We have been to the fireworks displays here and the atmosphere was magical.
To be in a park on the water is just sublime. The children's play park is a lovely distraction for the little ones and the ice-cream vans are very good value.
A great park with a wonderful view...what more can one ask for in a city?
g. b.
The park was fine, but the public toilets by the kids play area were absolutely disgusting, I couldn't possibly use them, every toilet was filthy and not one of them had any toilet roll in them, Southampton City Council should be ashamed of themselves, I have phoned them and complained.
c. p.
Really nice on a sunny day! Cruise ships can be seen from really close
j. b.
Lovely looking area but the toilets are disgusting
L. W.
Not as much fun as it was when I was a child, the big park with the high slide has gone, but it's lovely to get an ice cream and watch the boats.
a. g.
Love this park👍 its conveniently placed in town right on the waterfront with views of the river and the docks, so it's great for going to see the cruise ships.
Has play areas for the kids with a snack bar that does hot/cold food and drinks with convenient parking which works out cheap.
Also near the red funnel ferry terminal and a kutis restaurant.
i.
This is a great place to go when the boat show is on, just transforms the place and is so alive. Have a great little cafe and clean loos. It has a great view of the Solent and a hotel at the end by the Dock. Worth considering for an overnight stay of going on a cruise
D. H.
It's quite nice, it would be better with a couple of bars there, a place to launch paddleboards & canoes and maybe ship some sand in to make a nice beach. But that's just what I'd do if I was a Councillor.
T. P.
Great for the fireworks, could do with some more lighting afterwards though.
A. P. C.
A very good place for the views of docks, cruise ships, container ships. Can have a long walk along the waterside. Kids can run around in the grass area.
D. P.
A lovely play area where you can observe some of the workings of a major port. Good for a walk with Ice cream and a small cafe. Inbetween the ferry terminal and the cruise ship berths. Pay for parking. out of the way in a busy city.
D.
Lovely park on the water. Been here numerous times, and have introduced about 5 of my friends to the ice cream man there.
To my knowledge he is there almost all year round and if you like ice cream, I would highly recommend going to mayflower park just for that!
There are a LOT of gulls there so just be careful. I wouldn’t recommend a full blown picnic unless you stay inside of your car to eat!
L. O. S.
Best place to see ships depart. The park gets crowded on weekends and on hot days and when ships are about to depart. Parking is limited and have to watch out for the traffic warden. There's is sometimes an ice cream Van where you can buy ice cream. The Circus sometimes visits and takes up the park in the middle.
M. A.
Great park. Let down by council lack of investment sure this park will be lost to developers in the not too distant future. One of the few places were there is waterfront accessibility for the public near the city centre come on Southampton City Council think of our need for open space rather that income.
J. S.
We had booked to see the Lion King at the Mayflower theatre, parked the car in the multi storey, as you do and had a little bit of time to kill before going to see the show, a short stroll from the car park was the park, its was a brilliant sunny afternoon, we found a place to sit and did abit of people watching, then looked upwards to see a plane, followed quite quickly by another, then another, the planes were really low and we could see them easily. We were very happy watching the planes go by and of course people watching. Nice clean park, and an easy reach from the theatre too.
T. A.
Love mayflower Park needs sorting out though
L. R.
Nice view of the cruise ships
J. C.
Early for Red Funnel ferry so stopped here. Nice large car park with blue badge spaces. Right by the waterfront so great place to watch the ships, inculding the cruise ships. Grass to sit on. Playground. Toilets look very rough though. Ice-cream van when we were there with really nice ice creams. Not much actual grass, trees or park stuff. More of a car park with greenery. Parking is chargeable but free with blue badge. Nice place to stop and watch the ships though.
P. M.
Great ice cream van ..
P. A.
Nice relaxing location with plenty of open space. Hot food and ice cream well received from on-site kiosk.
C. M.
It's ok, but a bit run down these days. It is however a great place to see the big ships sail
C. R.
Southampton Boatshow. Full of entertainment and things to see and do. Great location .
N. P.
A popular waterside municipal park, best place in Southampton for civic events. Very relaxing area worth visiting if you haven't. Playground for bringing kids, basketball court, limited sitting benches could be more.
Great restaurant, ice cream van always available. Lots to see enormous container & cruise ships. Europe's largest circus was there for a week.
Pay & display parking very close, gets very busy in good weather. Metal public toilets, gets very hot in this weather better than nothing. 7/10
P. R.
A bit of grass bit mostly car park over looking Southampton Water. Great when the boat show is on though
S. W.
Southampton Boat Show is well laid out on a large site. If you're into boating this is the show to go to. Be advised, it's a good /long walk to visit the whole show, but worth the effort.
J.
This is a place that offers just more than a park. Many of the cruise liners dock here also it can be good for walkers / sightseers or even an ice cream stop. A cafe and basic toilets
P. T.
Spent a lot of my student days down here relaxing by the water. It can be a beautiful spot for an ice cream but just as easily a noisy and tumultuous place when the wind picks up!!
G. 3.
Stunning views on the port with a fresh breeze at all times, this is a place that you can sit at for a long time and just watch the ships, absolutely amazing place and would recommend!!!🙂
D. G.
As one of Southampton's few areas of open, public waterfront you'd think more would be made of it, despite the mostly uninspiring views. Frankly, it's all a bit down at heel.
The parking spaces are small and the pavements are in terrible condition with very few benches to sit on if you want to get out of your car to enjoy the view. There is, however, a surprising amount of recreational space, when it's not being used for activities related to the Boatshow and Christmas markets. It's also one of only a few places to get a good look at some cruise ships, if that's your thing. Autumn/winter sunsets can be lovely too. I've never been locked in but it's worth a quick look at that day's gate closing time when you drive in.
A big downside for me are occasional and slightly intimidating gatherings of people in and around vehicles with blacked out windows and vape "smoke" pouring out of them. That and the ageing ice cream van which sits with its engine running all day, inundating the park with heavy, carcinogenic diesel fumes.
It's almost as if the City Council is treading water at this site, until work commences on one of the grandiose public waterside developments which are proposed from time to time but never come to fruition.
M. A.
It was the RYA Southampton boat shaw,
We had a brilliant time.
We went for sailing on a charter bout trile, it was fantastic.
All staff are very helpful and friendly.
There was a lot of discount deals and new latest makes of boat and all boat requirements
Many companies offers discounts during the show.
d. b.
Not as good as in the 70's and 80's but still nice place to relax and get an ice cream on a hot day.
J. M.
Really nice park to relax and chill. Close to the see so the views are amazing. There is also a baskteball court, and a nice kids park where kids can play and have fun, next to it there a little food shop with ice cream and snacks where adults can chill when kids are playing.
G. E.
Beautiful views. Nice park. Well kept field. Reasonably priced parking. Toilets on site
Z. E.
If you go to Southampton port from Hampshire just take the right Private Hire cars form elitecarshampsire.co.uk
J. Y.
Nice place to walk or even sit in your car watching the water boats and ships, kids play area with cafe and public toilets
M. B. (. C.
Now in September 2020 is under construction so it's close. Good place to watch Cruise and Container ship and other vessel. There is a park for kids.
R. R.
Love this lil park! Bustling with people, birdies, and great vibes. Biggest perk?! Seeing the massive cruise ships so closely!
G. S.
Great to see the big ships. While drinking a McDonald's coffee for 99p.
N. P.
Not as good as it used to be. Seems to be an overflow for cars getting on the ferry. Had to wait 20mins to drive out of the park due to ferry traffic stuck
T.
Great place to see cruise ships play area for kids and icecream and a field for footy or picnic basket ball courts too
D.
Another lovely park to go to! We enjoyed being out once again! Taking in the scenery of our local 😊
S. L.
Beautiful place for a picnic with the grandkids.. just sad that the public loos were closed. Difficult situation with a 3 year old.
R. J.
Looks a bit tatty, could do with a bit of money being spent on it. Basketball court and good view of the ship's going past. Pay and display for parking
D. N.
This sounds a really nice place to go to as I have not been there as of yet but the description sounds really good will have to go there and updates some videos
S. M.
We used to go for the fireworks every year before we moved brilliant dirsplay fun fair and selection of food and drink stalls
A. F.
Look up cruise ships arrivals and departures and head down to Mayflower Park, a brilliant viewing spot, parking (paid) is limited, but you won't get a better viewing spot, however half the park is taken over with a huge marquee'd area on departure day. There was an ice cream van present when I was there on 15th June. The park is right next to The big white Holiday Inn
F.
This is the best park in Southampton as it has beautiful sea views, there's always huge cruise ships docking and leaving, sunsets are brilliant here and it's a nice place to take your girlfriend.
J. H.
This waterside park is centrally located in the port area of Southampton. It is close to some of the berths used by some cruise ships, and the Container vessels pass it getting to the deep container berths.Sometimes used to host some events, but is taken over each year for the Boat Show - for an ever increasingly number of days closed to the public (although I believe this was originally meant to very restricted).Perhaps a little undervalued, and probably waiting for some major redevelopment of the Town Pier/Mayflower park area.
A. M.
A nice place to look over the cruise ships that stock and to watch them departing.
D. M.
Nice views, nice park but smacked my head on a tree and cut it open being silly playing with my girls haha
T. C.
Great park to watch the ships go by. Also, ice cream van.
A. D. R.
The park is very simple. In fact there's just something grass and a couple of trees. You can find a playground for kids and a basketball court. Because there's a long straight stretch or road along the river and there's absence of cars, I like going there for a run at sunset.
N. Í.
I recommend coming when the sun is setting
S. B.
Great place to get rid of the daily stress😊
L. W.
Great spot to watch the boats but the best bit is the Ice Cream van.
T. C.
Good parking but boy racers and bloody music and others that think it's OK to park across not straight when you go to see the ships/boats/cruise liners
G. J.
Lovely place to park up and watch the boats go by. Only £1 for two hours and machine accepts card. I come here every time I'm in the area for a break.
A. C.
I'll remember my feelings
G. O.
Beautiful and quiet at night time.
S. F.
Lovely park where you can sit on the grass and watch the boats come in and out of the Port. Also has an ice cream van there and a shop where you can get some chips and a drink
P. G.
Nice open space with a lovely, compact playground. Good views of the ships entering/leaving the docks and great for sunsets. Parking is extremely cheap too (especially compared to the rest of the city).
R. B.
Came here to see the circus extreme. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Great location.
Went twice to see the performance! Best thing I've seen in years and a park outside to keep the kids happy while waiting too

N. D.
Wonderful afternoon treat by the sea. I need some ice cream as I need some vitamin sea 😁. Lovely park remind me when there was the children playground. Still a lovely place to go for a stroll

P. L.
Nice location Just by the dock .Unfortunately boy racers&Rats ..don't go near the bushes!Spoil this absolute Gem .....
C. C.
Fantastic park. There is always something going on. Toilets a bit basic but functional. Ice cream van and little cafe there. Plenty of parking which you do have to pay for but it's not expensive.
M. B.
Hmmm...not a good time to visit with works going on at the moment, and the new forest ice cream on sale in the kiosk is not new forest ice cream. Apart from that the views of the river and docks make it a worthwhile visit.
T. a.
We watched fireworks from here on our boat on the pontoons left out from the Southampton boat show. The park is great in the summer to let the kids run around while you watch the world go by
t. j. b.
It was very nice to just sit and watch the ships and world go by
L. J.
Right by the port so really nice to watch the river and boats leaving in the evening.
P. S.
Crowdy over the good weather days
Super place to be close to big cruiser ships and take a photo
K. S.
Amazing place for outing and good restaurant for enjoying nice weekend.
T. R.
A small, but pleasant, green that is right on the edge of the water at Southampton dock.
The views from here's on a clear day are magnificent, though there's not much actually here.
p. S.
Always has been one if the best places in Southampton to visit but can do with tlc to the roads and green areas
V. S.
Nice spot as I went to charge my electric car which is right by the park . So u can have a wonder about whilst charging.

Great for a walk on flat ground great if your disabled plus great ice cream van who's been on this spot for years good to watch the dock movements too ...
S. T.
Perfect place to stop, parking on the edge of the docks with good sights of the ships along the river. Great place to stop for a break on the way to the south coast.
N. P.
Sea-air, boats, boats and more boats. The Southampton Boat show has it all. A great day out of you have a nautical tendancy, and a fabulous day out if you like the gardens and sea breeze.
J. a. N. D. C.
It was fine, not too crowded as it was so cold! Toilets open but not in good condition!
J. M.
Great place, just need be careful with cars racing there
G. O.
Great views but unfortunately a very shoddy place just a car park on the sea front .....shame as it's one of the few spots open to the public

Always good to see the movement of the shipping in and out of port. Facilities could do with an upgrade as could this whole area.
N. R.
A nice enough park with a veiw over the Solent. Sometimes the Circus takes over but otherwise a quiet green space in the city with the benefit of being near the water.
P. W.
Good views of the port from here
D.
Nice view and stopping point to chill after or before you travel on red funnel. Sometimes icecream van. You have to pay to park. But never seen a warden.
R. R.
It's main strength is that it is next to the ferry port so you can park there if you are taking or from the ferry. There is a small park for the kids and it has toilets and a cafe.
H. w.
The park itself is plain. The events here are fab like the circus etc. Good spot to see some cruise ships.
W. C.
Visited for the boat show as we do every year. Great organisation, well looked after. Perfect.
C. B.
I go to watch the ships, the park is not useable because Southampton city council lets evnts use it. It's now a collection of mud lakes. It's meant to be a park, god knows who runs this council.
