What an easy experience, I went to the showroom at Millbrook, Southampton. Parking was easy. Spoke to a sale person who showed me several doors and sample colours. I chose the door I wanted, the price was mush better than other door companies in the area. Out came an surveyor just to check measure and check the opening and access for fitting. Paid a part payment, then the final payment, Then the two fitters arrived with my door removed the old garage door and fitted a new roller door. What a great job the two fitters a Father and son team were just the best. Nothing was a fuss the removal, the fitting of the new door having to work around my fittings in the garage. What a great job. When finished they swept up the area and yo wouldn't know the had been except for the new door. A quick operational guide and they were gone. I was over the moon with there work ethic. If you're looking for a garage door look no further I, 100% would recommend this company. Thank you for a fantastic door.

My experience with The Garage Door Company from start to finish has been exemplary. Ben came and measured up, Clair took the order and colleagues in the show room in Southampton explained the product and installation process. The doors arrived on time and then came the installation team. Led by Stephen with his colleague Lewis (in his category British Champion Windsurfer) they commenced and went well beyond what was expected. Great job with focus on the client and satisfaction. A small "glitch" occurred on Friday at 16.30 after they had left. I called the office and 45 minutes later Stephen was back here to fix the "glitch." All good now and I am delighted I made the decision to go with The Garage Door Company. Thank you you all and great job. I can defiantly recommend the guys and girls. Stephen / Lewis, pop in and see us if you are in the area. Some of that nice coffee!!

Converting the quote to an order was simple and was pleased with the time between confirming the order and delivery - just a couple of weeks. A trouble free process from the original email contact to the local shop, the visit by the salesman Ben who explained the options, one of which was a very good finance plan. This was taken up without any delay or problems. I was very impressed by the well orgainsed and executed installation by two tradesmen. These tradesmen took great care to respect my property and carried out a timely fitting leaving the site clean and tidy. The outcome a very good image of the front garden driveway. good kerb appeal!

Can't fault them really. Great personal interactions from the site-survey, to the back-office to install team. Dropped a star due to a mix-up in the order which resulted in us receiving the wrong colour doors. They accepted responsibility without quibble (even tho it wasn't 100% their fault) and replaced the doors in due course. No harm done - re-instated the star as a result. Love my new doors - would definitely recommend.

Roller door fitted within a week of placing the order by Adrian, a very efficient and pleasant chap. Old door and all rubbish cleared away, the whole thing was done in under 2 hours and I am very happy with the new door. Was skeptical at having to pay upfront in case anything went wrong but thankfully nothing did. Had a call from the office the next day to check if I was happy with the service and to let them know if I had any queries or problems. Hopefully I'll not need to take them up on this. Good job all round.

Had a new garage door fitted in May 2015 Fitters did an excellent job They say you only know how good a company is when something goes wrong. My door developed a small noise during operation after a few months. The fitters returned within a couple of days, replaced a part, and it has been perfect ever since I was only prompted to post this review when I saw a poor review on their website, and to let you know I think company is OK

I will try to post the facts without any comments, and I would let you judge by yourself. 1. On Saturday last week, a team came to install a new electric garage door. Turned out that the survey hadn't picked up that there was not enough room to install the operator. The team left after having installed just the door, taking the operator back with them. 2. Once they figured out how to install the operator, a new appointment was scheduled for the following Tuesday, and I took the afternoon off to wait for the installers. They arrived on time but they had been told that the operator was left at my address (which it wasn't). I had to insist with someone on the phone before I could convince them to go back to Southampton, pick up the operator and come back to finish the job. 3. The installation team came back on the same day and they did a good job installing the operator. However, it could not be activated due to the fact that nobody told them that an emergency release device had to be installed. The operator can't be activated without the emergency release, as in case of a power cut there would be no way to access the garage. 4. The manager called me the next day (Wednesday) apologising profusely, and promised that the emergency release device would be installed the following afternoon (Thursday). 5. On Thursday, I took another afternoon off work. At around 4pm, I called the Southampton office and they reassured me that the work would be completed by EOD. However, nobody showed up and I wasn't even informed of the change of plans. The door is still in manual mode. Bottom line: 6 days since the installation began, 1 day off work, price fully paid upfront and still the job I paid for has not been completed. I will modify this review when the job gets done if I'm happy with it, but so far I couldn't be more disappointed with this company. UPDATE: the door had now been fully installed and I am happy with it, and as a result I have updated my rating from one to three stars. However, I was promised an additional quote by Monday, and it's now Wednesday and still no quote. I think I'll go elsewhere... UPDATE 2: Quote received (by text!!). Asked a question via voicemail, because the guy never picks up the phone - still no reply 2 weeks later.

We own rental properties and use many trades in the course of a year. We needed a good functional garage door, sensible price. We stumbled on The Garage Door Company (Southampton) as we left a national builders merchants disappointed with their choice. We were handled professionally by the manager and ordered there and then. A straightforward company to deal with. From my visit to their showroom, to their surveyors site visit the staff were most helpful and offered clear explanations and no pressure. The replacement door arrived earlier than expected and the two fitters J & I cracked on with the job and left a clean and tidy site when they finished. Excellent service.. After having our garage broken into, we decided that we needed a new garage door. After filling the form on their web site for an estimate, I received a telephone call almost immediatley. As promised, the guy was here the next day and gave us the estimate there and then. We asked for it to be fitted ASAP, and we were not dissapointed. The two guys that came to fit the door were very polite and curtious. They explained what they needed to do and got on with the job. Within no time at all, the door was replaced. Everything was explained before they went on their way. I would definently recommend The Garage Door Company if you have the need to replace your door.
