D. W.What a nice 3k walk you have a few old buildings It is a shame there is nothing there to tell you what they were. There is a nice lake with a few places to fish if that your thing. From the top of the hill there is good views of Swindon …
A. E.Lovely vistas - winding walks, lakes etc lush in the winder and you can nip to old town for a cuppa in a cafe. If not local park in the Planks long stay carpark for £1 for 2 hrs best value in Old Town (grafitti pic is in the carpark)
W. M.As a park to easily pop into from Old Town, it's a great place to escape the concrete and chill out...with or without the dog. 😊👍

S.An absolute joy of a large park , former home of The Goddard Family for 400 years until 1927 , when the last incumbent , Fitzroy Pleydell Goddard ,moved away without offspring to continue the line . The big house decayed until it was demolished by Swindon Borough in the 1940s . Still home to two lakes and the delightful Holyrood church , with origins in the 12th century .
S. B.Beautiful park with a pond and amazing birdlife. Great place for a walk, bike ride or to take your dog for some exercise.
S.There is no carpark but it is in old town surrounded by streets. No cafe or toilets. It's the old home of the Goddard family although the house has gone. There is a field, woods, two lakes for fishing and lawn area.

C. K.One of our local parks, hidden away near Old Town, Swindon. Beautiful area, great views from up on the hill. Lakes, forest areas and great for dog walkers.
