What a beautiful place. Excellent for family time, elderly and even romantic walk. We travelled for 4 hours and definitely I would do it again. Waterfall and the lake were magnificent.

Absolutely stunning. About 15-20 min walk, if boggy go left hand side of the wall going upto the waterfall!! It was fun climbing upto/onto the fall itself. Absolutely beautiful and the view from the top!! Also free parking. Perfect free day out and would have been great to take a little picnic.

Parking is free, 2 toilets on site. Beautiful place, the walk to the waterfall base is not long, about 25 min. There are 2 ways, as you arrive at the wooden gate, if you go through it you'll find an open footpath, if you go right over the wooden bridge, you'll find a more flatter trail covered with blue gravel chippings. If you choose to go up the waterfall, make sure you wear trekking footwear, we found that a thread of water was present on the trail, which made the climbing muddy and very slippery.

Beautiful site with fast flowing river and good car park. From here there are good walks to be had. Ground was very wet so wellies are essential. We particularly liked the view of the waterfall from the approach path, made more dramatic from the heavy rainfall.

Free parking and a pleasant gentle walk alongside the river in the idyllic countryside to the waterfalls along the green walking route. As you get to the steeper section there's a choice of path which can be taken as a circular walk, but if you have a stroller or buggy I would recommend the right hand fork as it is more gentle and has a gravel covering. This wasn't deep and didn't slow the cyclists taking this path so should be more suitable if you have younger kids and you don't plan to carry them. When you reach the base of the falls you can go off the path to climb the falls but this is a matter of picking out the correct stepping stones to get over the river and leaving behind the guided path. As it is off the guided path it is at your own risk. This climb and gets quite steep as a day walker, to the point its more climbing than walking and not great for young kids but fine for primary school kids. In summer I've been a couple of times and is always at least a little muddy so be prepared to get wet feet or have decent boots, wellies wouldn't be easy to climb up in. We only went maybe half way up and it affords good views and was exciting for my kids who were disappointed not to go to the top but I had to play the boring grown up card as the journey back down is again tricky but not really too challenging to navigate. Two summers ago the car park was almost empty, today it was full and there was a lot of foot traffic on the walk, but also a lot of cyclists using this as a starting point to ride around the lake. Getting a space is not guaranteed.

This is one of my favorite places in Lake Vyrnwy for walking with puppy. Always not too busy and easy walk to waterfall. But there isn’t proper toilet, just one portable toilet there.

There is a large car park and a relatively easy walk to the waterfall that takes about 15 to 20 minutes. You’ll travel through a working farm so remember to keep pets on leads. The waterfall is incredibly tall that you can see it from quite a distance. You can enjoy the view from the base of the waterfall or take an unkept path closer to the top, it’s quite steep but manageable for most.

The best waterfall I've seem so far worth the drive the walk and every single second and angles of the best breathtaking views. Car park can be pack some days but u can pick near by if its full as well which is a bonus and u get to enjoy the beauty of Nature walking up to the car park instead of driving

No pics to add,but have fond memories of this place. Used to live not far away in Machynlleth, having a picnic here by the falls and then Lake Vyrnwwy after is amazing. You can climb up the falls if you're a hiker, wouldn't recommend it for the average person though. Miss the place a lot. Catch it on a sunny day you won't miss the big towns, catch it in Autumn or winter to see it a lot more lively.

Nice walk not to far from the waterfall. Easy for small children. Take wellies as you will need to cross the stream if you wish to walk up the water fall. Some great views from the top. And some great walks in the area. There is only one picnic bench close to the fall but plenty of room for picnic blankets

(Translated) A beautiful place and worth visiting while discovering the beauty of the Welsh mountains. The great advantage is the small number of tourists, there are not too many of them here because you will not find cafes or large picnic areas here. Large parking lot with lots of spaces but only 1 toy and in a terrible condition... From the car park you can walk to the Waterfall in about half an hour in summer, in winter it can be quite snowy and slippery. There is only one picnic table on site, hence more camping, probably on stones, grass or standing up in winter. Beautiful views 😊 (Original) Przepiękne miejsce i warte odwiedzenia przy okazji odkrywania piękna walijskich gór. Wielkim atutem jest mała liczba turystów, nie ma ich tutaj zbyt wiele bo jednak nie znajdziecie tutaj kawiarni, wielkim pól piknikowych. Parking spory z dużą ilością miejsc ale tylko 1 toy toy I do tego w okropnym stanie... Z parkingu można dojść do Wodospadu w jakieś pół godziny latem, zimą może być tutaj dość śnieżnie i ślisko. Na miejscu jest tylko jeden stolik piknikowy stąd większe biwakowanie chyba raczej na kamieniach, trawie lub zimą na stojąco. Widoki przepiękne 😊
