Well if you Google this place, the result you get is a hill in England. Talk about understatement! Firstly this walk is STEEP. I won't pretend to be fit but I am active. After over 10 years of saying I'll go up the Wrekin I finally did. Boy did it surprise me. It starts off quite steep but comfortable. You gain height quite quickly. When the path splits I was forewarned to go right on the wider path passed the halfway house(it's not even halfway), as the other path looks less steep but ends up almost vertical. After the house the path teases you with lots of peaks that you believe when you crest you have reached the top, alas it goes again n again. You pass a surreal pine forest on the right after having not seeing any other pine trees on the way up. When you finally reach the top 2 things strike you. First the wind, then the view, oh boy what a view. You can literally see for miles. Simply stunning & well worth the effort. I can now understand why the people of Telford love so much. Give it a go it's well worth it.

Lovely walk! Great for all levels.
Daddy and daughter day. She did ever so well. She managed to walk 80% up the trail. Then 50% down. Views are fantastic.

The Wrekin Forest Glen Car Park also known as, 'The Car Park for The Wrekin' is a very good parking place if you are looking to explore The Wrekin either by yourself or with the whole family.
Although the car park is small in size and can hold a certain amount of cars it can be overlooked as it's free to park your car - a very rare thing to find a free car park that does not charge a single penny.
The backdrop of the car park is meet with a very high rock face that's blends it in with the surrounding.
If you are planning to visit The Wrekin be prepared to not find a parking space as it can fill up very quickly.

Only three stars, for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s still quite a basic car park, although much improved compared to the past. Secondly, because there are no marked bays people park pretty badly and waste space. That leads to the third issue which is that when it’s busy you often find yourself very nearly blocked in by bad parking up the middle between the front and back of the car park. Lastly, on top of all that it’s about to become a ‘privilege’ you have pay for! And I don’t begrudge them that, I think it’s right that they should charge, and if that money leads to improvements in the car park I will definitely update my review.

It may take a long time to get to the top and each bump you see seems like the top...but isn't, eventually you get to the top and omg, the views.are.in-cred-ib-le. it is great for walking the dog, the kids or going for a run or bike ride.
It's totally free to go and you've got a restaurant half way to take a break maybe even a drink and a view
I'd recommend bringing a thick and furry coat for the top because it's very windy and you'll get cold within 10-15 mins. Overall I'd highly recommend adventuring to the top and bottom of the hill.

Both myself and my partner thought this was going to be any east stroll. Not easy, but we'll with the views at the top.

We had a walk up there today, first time visiting, wow it was definitely worth every step, the views were beautiful. Once you reach the top you have to savour every moment, just totally magnificent..

Not really my cup of tea on a bike as its straight into a 2 mile climb if going straight up the Wrekin itself. Try other routes as the red back down is very tight and steep.
Would be great for running/walking and does give a sense of achievement when getting to the top.
