J. D.Excellent for dogs with the River Allen to play in and cool off. Took me an hour and a half to walk all round. Easy walking on main path. Excellent cafe in car park with hot meals, hot and cold drinks and cakes.
P. C.It's close to Idless woods and it's FREE but it does not have any facilities. There are toilets in the nearby cafe (for customers only, but that is not a problem after an enjoyable walk through the woods). It's a fairly large carpark with plenty of spaces and good turning room. There are several paths leading into the woods and I saw loads of walkers and well behaved dogs.
R. B.Woodmans cafe was absolutely stunning, great table service and reasonably priced food. Friendly staff and will to engage I chit chat. Fresh food served and great portion size, would definitely go back for more in the summer! Five star rating for sure!
c. h.A lovely woods full of many different paths you could stick to the main path happily with a pushchair or bike or go off the beaten path either way a great family walk. Lots of dog walkers and a good size free car park
A. H.Idless Woods is a beautiful woodland walk with a meandering stream running through it. There is a well made rough pathway and also several smaller tracks to take, although these can be uneven and steep. The roads to the woods are single track with passing places. There is a car park for approximately 20 cars on two levels. There is a great cafe at the entrance to the woods, serving hot and cold food and drinks and ice-cream. The staff are very friendly and welcome dogs. This is a great place for dog walkers.
B.Car park was free and gave access to a wonderful Dog friendly wooded area.
T. F.Our first trip here with the dogs. Absolutely love it here such a beautiful place even when busy you don't encounter many people as such a large place. Coming back on Easter Monday with the bikes as lots of trails.

Cycle as a family, great for mountain bikes or dog walks.
S. G.Really like walking through the woods here. If you take the main loop its a good hours walk, 1hr 40 with my 3 year old. Might see deer, rabbits, squirrels and birds of prey. Afterwards I stop at the huntsman cabin for a refreshment.
K. K.Lovely wood covering hundreds of acres. There are dog bins on the tracks and in car park, shame some people don't pick up after their dog.

J.This place is a great walk, but is fairly long! so wouldn't recommend for tiring out small children because they are pooped by about half way round! for dog walks or group people walks its a great place, the bar on site is very friendly and always loves a chat! although food is a little overpriced its not over the top like some other places.

T. F.Only a rating of 3 at the moment still enjoyed the walk and my dog was quite happy there today,but the whole woods is churned up from motor bike racing ? so very muddy, never seen any racing taken place here before .

A. P.Idless Woods is a lovely location for a walk. You can explore the wooded areas or stick to the paths. Popular with dog walkers, but thankfully there is not too much dog mess. If you walk far enough there is a little stream where children sometimes paddle. In season the bluebells are lovely.
Watch out for potholes as you drive into the carpark.
M. J.Lovely place for a short or long dog walk, and the addition of the woodmans cabin cafe is most welcome. Really nice little place, friendly, and with a way bigger menu than we expected.
