D. B.This is the quintessential fishing village, we wanted to visit foe time and it didn't disappoint! Beautiful scenery, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs! We had a great day! Couldn't recommend more!

Y.It's a lovely little village but rather steep walk & quite away from the carpark, they were filming doc Martin when we got there so the sister in-law was chuffed & I had the beach basically to myself as everyone else was on the path leading to the house they film at,had a rather nice Cornish pasty from the little shop too
A. J.Main car park for visitors to Port Issac (Port Wenn for Doc Martin fans). Pay & display (cash & card) with overflow spaces. Toilet block (20p to spend a penny, although locks weren't in use when we went), Maggie's cafe bar (coffee, cake, ice cream) and a well provisioned children's playground to the rear. For those who need assistance walking into Port Issac, there is a Shuttle Service available...

We visited because we are Doc Martin Fans and it was filmed here.
The views are breathtaking I would highly recommend anyone to visit.
B.Large pay and to display car park with toilets and a cafe. It can get very full during peak season, there are car parks lower down and with easier access to Port Isaac. When I say 'easier' it's all relative, the top car park is a long downhill trek to the village, the lower ones are closer but it's still quite a downhill trek, and of course if you go down....you've gotta come back up.
S. H.Good car park with bathrooms and a small shop. But if a walk to the harbour which is mostly up hill on the way back.
D. A.£4 for 3 hours is the cheapest tarriff you can select. Then it goes up in 3 hourly time frames. So not the cheapest option. 20p if you wish to use the carpark toilets. Approximately 15 minutes walk down to the Harbour area.
A. P.Great car park to leave the car and reach the village by foot. It's just under 10 minutes walk. Affordable price considering is a touristic location. Also got a great view and a good spot to take pictures.

S. R.Nice roomy carpark, several toilets available and a small coffee hut that also sells snacks. Toilets are 20p to use but you can use contactless if you don't have any change. Bit of a walk into the town itself (downhill). There are a couple of other carparks nearer the port if you aren't keen to walk very far and from one there is a more level path round the back so you don't have to walk down the steep paths but it does mean you miss all the nice shops/pubs.

W.Visited today 9th October 2022 wanted to pay for a £4 ticket by coins, it didn't recognise one of the coins so had to put £5 in to park for a £4 ticket, also one machine was out of order where people had put money in so obviously not ideal, the machine out of order was not covered up so be aware.
As previously mentioned not for people with walking or breathing difficulties .
However we enjoyed our visit to Port Isaac, its a very pretty place.

N.Easy carpark to find and use only downside is if your in a camper or motorhome you'll find that some lazy person in a car thinks they should have the motorhome parking which makes it hard for motorhomes to park, I advise if you're physically fit you'll want to catch the shuttle back to the carpark otherwise you'll struggle the walk back up the hill from port issac.

D. G.For visitors to Port Isaac this may be the closest anyone can get in a car. The car park is at the top of a moderately steep hill - fine for going to Port Isaac but a bit more of an issue returning to the car. The charge for parking seemed reasonable.

m. w.Wanted to see where Doc Martin was filmed.Port Isaac is a beautiful place. Be warned anybody not too nimble on their feet it is very hilly. Going down the hill is fine. Getting back up is a different story as my mum found out.....car to the rescue.

B. R.If you are visiting Port Isaac this is the main car park. It is quite a distance to walk to the village and down a steep hill with means it is a steep hill coming back. The toilets on the car park will cost you 20p. There is a small coffee shop there and a play area for the young ones.

s. k.Location of the car park is great, not far from the port. Unfortunately couldn't pay work cash and had to pay by card online with a new app and extra unexpected charge for the privilege! There were quite a few customers that weren't very happy with this set up. On a plus side, car park had plenty of spaces and stunning views!
N. B.Situated above the town there are a couple of car parks with plenty of spaces for about £5/day. It is around 750 metres from the village which is at the bottom of a steep hill. There are some toilets and refreshments available at the carpark. Although it can get very busy you should be able to find a place as the car parks are quite large. Note it is not possible to park in the village itself. There is another carpark lower down but it is much smaller and quickly fills up.

Within an hour of being there, we wanted to go. Very friendly people, but very pricey products. Amazing crew at the RNLI. A must for pescatarians, fresh fish at the fishmongers. Loved the walk towards Port Gaverne.

It's a short walk to the main area of port isaac it is hilly so if you are disabled or very unfit you may struggle. There is a carpark closer but it also looked very busy with a few cars waiting for spaces.
K. V.We agree with other reviews....a nice, well maintained car park. Ideal for visiting this lovely little village but the walk back up the hill is quite challenging. Good idea to get there early, even in quet times it gets busy from late morning. Toilets clean...remember the 20p charge!
C. B.Clean, convenient, good facilities and children's play park next to it. It was more fun back in the day when you used to be able to watch people forget their cars on the slipway when the tide came in but this car park is more practical for the masses

Another tip no card facilities on the payment machine so make sure you have change or better still download the Justpark App on your phone. If I hadn't had a signal we'd have had to leave.
j. r.Very good value for money, it was £5 for the full day taken from an attendant. Not sure if they take cards though. Plenty of room, but it's quite a truck to port Isaac, they do a shuttle though.

Good toilets on site to be able to relieve yourself before setting back off on your journey.

D. T.It's a really good park and a nice walk down into the town. Usually plenty of spaces and you take a risk on going further down toward the town. There is no parking now in the harbour even if you want to risk it driving into the harbour, my advice don't try it Even in a Smart car. Toilets all now 20p and they have some new nice ones in the car park so take advantage and a if you need it a small cafe.
I. Q.Big enough car park. A 15 minute walk uphill from the village, not too expensive, although you have to pay to go to their toilets. They do also have a little coffee place, that smelled really nice, so they must make good coffee.

R. H.Get here early if you want a space! It is a huge carpark but there are alot of visitors. We got there at 10 am and there were plenty of spaces. When leaving at midday it was full. Reasonable parking charges. Its approximately a 10 mins walk to the harbour at a reasonable pace.
c. h.On the hill leading into Port Issac, well laid out but it does get busy so took friends advice and arrived before mid morning.
Payment is by cash 🙂 , or by using a app on your phone 😬, although for some this took them over 5 minutes to access and pay.

S. R.A really good, purpose built carpark on the edge of the town. Lots of space, so well worth parking here and walking down into the town. Toilets and a coffee takeaway on-site. Card, cash and app payment all catered for. Best arrive before 11am, as it really starts to fill up by lunchtime!!
K. I. S.Long hard uphill climb from port Isaac, all the toilets and shop shut at the car park out of season, but parking fees didn't reflect the loss of facilities. Port Isaac totally void of any shops, cafe, restaurants and pubs. Just not worth the parking charge. Don't go.
M. P.Such a beautiful place. Parked at the top of the hill so had a bit of a walk. Parking not too expensive. The views were stunning. The beach was beautiful and the smell of food from the shops was amazing. We had fish and chips from the takeaway chippy not over priced and tasted great beautiful fresh fish.

Please be aware that the walk down to Port Isaac is rather steep which means you have a hard walk back.
M. B.Port Isaac was as expected, lovely place to visit. Had to imagine Doc Martin being filmed there as quite a busy place. Coastal walk to port Quinn was strenuous but worth the views, and an inland loop back to port Isaac.

L. H.Great place to park for your trek into the town, passing a few local shops on the way. Plenty of parking available and the fee is very reasonable for all day parking. There is a new building with toilets and washing facilities available - has a small charge - a small contribution for the local economy. There are public toilets in town too and these also charge a fee.
T. T.Not bad priced, easy to park, saves hassle of queuing for a space in the limited area at bottom of hill. Also there's a taxi service that do pick up and drop offs for small price if walking is an issue.
J. O.Large car park but long walk into the village, even worse on way back up steep hill. Not a cheap car park. £3 minimum. I saw no sign of a shuttle bus. Toilets on site (20p entry). There is a bus stop opposite but infrequent service. There is another car park nearer the village which becomes very full (100 spaces) but is far better for disabled but still a 200metre walk into the village centre. 70p first hour.
R. S.Excellent parking facilities. There is a shop on site for your needs. It is about 15 min walk into Port Isaac that may put of some people but there is also a footpath that leads behind the main road into the car park which might be better. Luckily no Private Carpark Operators to con you out of money which is important. Clean site, and some amazing views.

F. T.The home of "Doc Martin" absolutely stunning scenery. Beautiful clear blue water. Tiny streets you have to investigate. I suggest you park here and walk down the hill you can follow the path above the sea which will take you straight into the town. Some very unique shops to browse. Plenty of ice cream parlours and quirky cafe's to whet your appetite. So much history here. Smugglers and pirate's.
S. R.As car parks go this is definitely up there with some of the best. Facilities are excellent with just the right number of ticket machines. It's a bit of a walk to the village which is all down hill... But obviously you got to come back at some point... Which is all up hill! I think going up hill first would have been a better option, no one likes a lengthy up hill walk after a splendid day sampling the many beers on offer in the local pubs. Only let down by the fact they charge to use the toilets... Again not something you want to find out after a lengthy walk up hill after several beers only to find you don't have any 20p's

S.Fairly reasonably priced with a minimum £3 for three hours. You are unlikely to spend less than that in Port Isaac. It has a playground next to the Car Park and paying toilets. It is quite a distance down the hill to the village so not for the frail.

d. c.Main carpark for Port Isaac. Good hike to the town from here. Down hill. So be warned its all uphill for the return. Can get very busy so parking can become a problem if you get there later in the day.
L. S.Plenty of parking, however, it's about 1km away from the main tourist area. This is a problem for anyone with mobility problems, getting to the tourist area means walking down a very steep hill, the climb back up (which our fog struggled with) is challenging for the fittest of people.

L. H.Try to avoid driving through the centre of port Isaac to get there because it has a lot of pedestrians and thin streets (a mistake we made). If the weather is super hot it’s a good idea to take suncream or cover your shoulders as you have to walk for a while to get into the village (this is how I burned my shoulders).

A. P.Great carpark. Lots of spaces and a large, gravel overflow carpark that you can park big motorhomes in. At £5 for the day it's probably not the cheapest, but fairly close to the gorgeous little town of Port Isaac, a must for Doc Martin fans.

J. E.Couldn't find space, as people hadparked poorly. It took ages to get everyone queuing without spaces to reverse or turn around. Very little manoeuvre room. The other carpark was easier to park with attendants making sure cars parked well
P. C.Never actually got parked due to how busy it was midweek in the last week of the school summer holidays and it not being the biggest. It looked to have some good amenities though and had there been any spaces I’m sure it would have been an adequate car park.
J. B.If you're looking to park a car this place is just what you're looking for. A ten minute walk to the harbour without having to navigate the narrow streets. There is a play ground next to it to stop the kids moaning about the walk back up the hill before you put them back in the car.

T. S.What can you say about a car park? It had spaces. They were average price for Cornwall but the car park, whilst no great distance from Port Isaac is some height from it... quite a struggle if you're a fatty.

A. R.Only three hour minimum parking available for three pounds. Very little space considering the high volume of cars. Arrive early if you want to find space. Don't bother with the smaller ones further on in the town. Never any spaces. About half mile walk into the town and be prepared for a steep walk down and up again to port isaac's centre.
J. J.Plenty of parking spaces and a public toilet. Charges are not extortionate. Grassed areas for picnics. Not too far from the harbour either. Play area for the kids too.
T. J.The biggest carpark in Port Isaac. Usually very busy. However do NOT Park on the grass, not even one wheel. It is patrolled and they are ruthless with bad parking and OOT tickets. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the harbour, but there is a shuttle taxi that runs both ways.

n.It's pleasant, lovely views of coast at present ( before the bushes that have been planted obscures it ). You need good mobility to get to Port Isaac itself. It's a good 20min brisk walk downhill.
