Castle Park has some basic but functional calisthenics exercise area. There are three pull up bars, parallel bars are very low but still usable and the area for doing crunches. Combined with fresh air and 24 hour access, also tennis and volleyball courts and easy parking, I think it's a great place to work out.

Castle Park- Frodsham Reviewing for wheelchair users Car park is free. Parking is limited, there is 3 disabled spaces but depending on the whether the car park can be filled quickly. The walk from the car park to the play area does have a drop kerb by the car park entrance onto the main path way. No dogs allowed in here the play area. Once you get too the park it's path does go though and around the equipment, but it is sand around each piece of equipment. Unfortunately the sand isn't especially easy to maneuver a wheelchair or pram on to get close to said piece of equipment. There are toddler swings, basic swings, slide, climbing frame, ground level sand pit area, UFO swing and a ground level roundabout. Unfortunately the UFO swing arent inclusive to all children due to issues like transfering chair to swing and also the persons ability to self support themselves on them. Also wheelchair access for transferring is an issue due to the sand around it. The ground level roundabout are classed as inclusive but as thus one doesn't have any support bumps or straps hold a chair into place as soon as the roundabouts is put in motion the chair moves becoming unsafe. Cafe on site that sells lovely drinks and snacks. There are public toilets include a disabled toilet (forgot to check if radar key needed)

Lovely half day out at the park, it has a large well tended play area suitable for ages 1-10. There is also a cafe and lots of picnic areas and space for ball games. On top of that there is woodland trails. We did a easter egg hunt while here which was only £2 a child and they got a nice sized easter egg at the end. Well worth a visit parking can be hard though there car park is only small.

Lovely park. There were two to choose from, one for the younger kids and one for the older kids. Nice cafe, we got ice creams so not sure what the food was like, but there was plenty of people getting food from them. Only thing is the car park on the small side

Beautiful park and arts centre in Frodsham. It's got a cafe, toilets, gardens, tennis courts, 5 a side pitch, bowling green, play areas, historic buildings and carparking.

This is a lovely park to visit, it's always clean and tidy, there's a great place to buy hot and cold drinks, icecream's and sandwiches and cakes. The staff are very friendly in there. You can choose to eat in or take away. We visit this park quite often, also you can go for a nice walk, also there's another park suitable for older children. Which is in a big field, before you get to the small park . It's a lovely park to visit at any time of year.

The Arts Centre has (don't know how often Musical Outdoor Entertainment). Courtyard with marquee style rain protection. Friendly Staff, hot drinks, toast, toasted teacakes etc. Very pleasant civilised place.

Fabulous location with something for everyone. Popular with the children into either of the two parks, fitness equipment, cheap to play tennis courts, bowls and great for walking dogs, especially if they like chasing squirrels to name but a few things!

This local park is a favourite of our family. It's got separate playgrounds for younger and older kids and our children always ask to come here - and to get ice creams from the shop of course! There's some good tennis, basket ball and bowls facilities and the gardens around the house are always looking fantastic. It's also a great venue for local outdoor events.

Good park for older children but not the best for smaller children. Big sand pit to dig in so always worth taking a bucket and spade and plenty of open space to have a run around. Toilets and coffee/ice cream stall available. Free to park a bonus. Brilliant for feeding the squirrels and there's a squirrel food vending machine near the toilets for £1 per pot if you have nothing with you. Definitely recommended.

Pleasant park with a playground and some formal gardens. There is a cafe that tolerated my 2 year old great nephew! I enjoyed my visit and would happily go again. A Shetland pony being walked around added to the interest.

Great place for young and old! Two play areas, one for the little ones and one for the older plus teens. The cafe is often open for ice creams and take away coffee but not today! Lots of space to walk or run around in and gardens for relaxation. The local art gallery located at the edge of the park is an added bonus!

Fantastic park to go to in all weathers if you are willing to wear a waterproof and decent walking shoes/boots/wellies. Great playgrounds for all ages. Lower age groups will love the pirate boat climbing/play area on the lower level and on the upper level its great for older or more adventurous children/teens. The cafés times do vary in winter so worth a check beforehand if you are relying on getting a hot drink. Café is reasonably priced and drinks are nice there. Loads of space for ball games. Also just nice to go and walk there too even without children. Toilet facilities are onsite by the café.

Lovely park with some great equipment for kids. Sand play as well as bark chipping area. The Big slide is out of action at the minute though which is a shame. There is also a walk but I haven't done it so can't comment on that. Not a lot of parking. Toilets available by the kiosk with ice cream for sale.

Large hall and garden open to the public. Has a car park .No entrance fee.Did not go in hall so not sure if it is open to the public. The grounds have lovely pathways to stroll along. Some beautiful trees along the way.Has a kiddies playground. Also you can get a tea or ice cream from a kiosk near the playground. Has toilet facilities. Disabled parking is allowed nearer to the main facilities. Worth a visit if in the area especially if the kids need to let off steam.

Great for parents and kids, older persons in fact, anybody who likes the outdoors and a park. Take buckets and spades to play in the sand located within a specific outside play area. Watch your children play from the several benches surrounding the park. The cafe provides take-away ice-cream etc. Provides disabled car park spaces and the park is quite flat for wheelchair users.

A really great place to let the kids run around. The park has very mature trees and a huge squirrel population to boot. They are everywhere. The house and formal gardens are very nice. It's not that extensive in terms of size compared to other gardens. There is a decent enough play area for the children, an ice-cream shop and a cafe. There is also an art gallery onsite, but we didn't visit it. Parking is free. All in all a good place to spend a couple of hours.

What a lovely, clean park! Took my pup here for a walk. Lots of pathways through trees which she found very interesting! Plenty of squirrels too. The main thing I noticed was there was no dog poop anywhere which is absolutely brilliant. Responsible dog owners at last! There is a play area for children (no dogs allowed). This is a great example of how a park should be. A lovely setting with car parking. A++++++

The park itself has a decent kids playground and expansive grass areas, also tennis courts and zip wire. They spent millions on refurbishment some years ago but they do not look after the place properly, bowling green unmowed, stream virtually blocked with branches and rubbish, nettles everywhere, not many flowers and shrubs at all. It could be so much better but no effort from the council or workers who are there means it's neglected.

This place really is a treasure. Lots of squirrels to feed and fantastic play areas for the kids. The gardens are lovely and the whole site is very clean and we'll kept. Visited here whilst staying at Lady Heyes caravan park Frodsham really is a great place.

Went to the Christmas extravaganza in the park and unfortunately it was a bit of a wash out. Not because it wasn't organised well; no it was because of the weather which was horrendous. It rained so much and was so windy that I thought it was going to blow the stalls over! Nevertheless the organisers battled on valiantly but alas it was the elements that were against them. Sad but true...
