L. O.We enjoyed our bike ride up on the South downs. It's good walking / cycling country. You can see the sea from the ridge and offshore wind turbines. But you should take your own food and drink if you're going to be up on the hills for a while as we didn't pass anything.
E. S.Lovely part of the South Downs to go for a long walk. Fantastic in the summer with fabulous views of the surrounding hills and the sea on a clear day. But weather can be a bit dodgy in the winter.
P. P.A very narrow track winds its way to a good size carpark giving access to the Southdown Way with excellent views

I. W.An excellent resource that allows elderly and less mobile people to enjoy the Downs in a very real way.
I. S.There is a beautiful walk from here along the South Downs Way to Rackham Hill.
M. L.As of the middle of March 2022 the road from the B2139 to the car park is still closed for health and safety reasons after a number of trees were discovered to have Ash die back. The road should be reopened in the next few weeks subject to the works being completed according to West Sussex County Council.

F. W.Fantastic, picturesque place with miles of walking across the South Downs. Fair sized carpark at the top but the road leading up to it is VERY uneven so not suitable if you have a low slung sporty type vehicle! Definitely a place to visit!

A. H.Excellent place to access the south downs way with great views because of the elevated position. The road up is a little narrow .. and rutted. Also a very good place for those night sky watchers as there is good all round visibility and little light pollution.
