Reviews of Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ride

Brilliant location just off the roundabout and always seems to have plenty of spaces available. Fares are decent and buses are frequent. Good lighting on a night, the site is open until 11pm and CCTV covered too. On site Toilets are a bonus. Negative points are the state of the access roads leading to the car parks as they all need resurfacing, the whole site needs a good clean and sometimes it takes 15 minutes to leave as you are stuck waiting to pull out on the world's busiest roundabout afterwards.
A. C.
Park and ride is easily located on outskirts of York and is located next to a small country park area (whoch also has a small play area for little people). Adult fare is £3.50 and children are free. Whilst this is perhaps cheaper for two adults if going in for day, it's not quite as cheap if you was only intending to go in for a few hours. It's worth noting however, that if there is a group of 5 adults travelling together then you can get some sort of travelling together deal for £10 which does seem much more reasonable!
K. H.
Great service, why pay town parking charges when you can Park and Ride. Drops off by York Railway Museum and picks up again in the same place......
Brilliant.
S. T.
Great park and ride to get you easily into the centre of York. The bus drops you at Lendal Bridge and if you have children there is a small play park next to the Park & Ride at Rawcliffe Bar.
W. J.
Does exactly what it says, you park and ride. Easy to use buy a ticket and get on. The buses were very uncomfortable my spine was were it shouldn't be when I got off. The driver we had going into York was quite miserable and rude, the other drivers were OK. Great way to get into the city....you can check time tables via an app.
M. C.
My first time using park and ride in York and it was a reasonable experience.
Plenty of parking spaces despite being a Sunday.
Bus was sat waiting so we bought a ticket and got straight on. Unfortunately though we then sat for a further 10-15 mins waiting for more passengers to arrive. The bus was fairly old, hot rattly and the vibrations through the seats at the back of the bus were spine battering to say the least.
The bus back from the city centre (10 min wait) was also full although was a bendy bus so slightly more comfortable.
Overall it isn't a bad service, but it is easier to park in the city centre than use the buses and that is what I will do when visiting York in the future.
K. M. R.
Easy way to spend the day in York. Just park and ride. £3 50 Per adult return. So much cheaper than paying for car parking whilst in the centre. Easy to get to. Buses leave from Rawcliffe Bar regularly and return back from York regularly. Only a short bus journey into the centre. We prefer this park and ride to the various other ones.
P. C.
Apart from the first driver who just couldn't be bothered answering any questions (in fact it was an effort for him to sell us a ticket) the place was vert clean and a short ride into York. Great prices so much cheaper than parking in York. There is only one bus stop on museum Street that gets you back again and this should be explained as you get off, but it wasn't.
The bus was clean and tidy.
I would certainly use this service again.
R. V.
Excellent experience, York really seem to have traffic management sorted. Park for free low cost for a return bus ride. Just make a note of the service you are on so you can fi d the right stops to get back!
R. J.
Great and easy parking to visit York. Takes the stress out of parking and have a ride on a bendy bus
K. B.
Much easier ( and cheaper ) than driving/parking in city. Only had to pay £4.80 to park car as our OAP bus passes were valid on bus. Open until 11:30 pm.
K. H.
Fantastic Service.
Just like to say it's a wonderful service.
Excellent value for money and can leave the car with peace in mind and enjoy the sights of York. Well done York Council.
j. a.
Decent, wouldn’t use on a weekend (like I did), as no bendy buses despite it being busy, so would probably use another P&R site during weekends to avoid having to stand. Very efficient and good value though
R. T.
Dead easy. Free parking. Couldn't buy bus tickets on the bus, even though it says you can, so had to get off bus and enter the building and buy from a teller, but not a big deal.
A. W.
Easy to find, ample parking, road in to car park is very badly rutted and potholed, the speed bumps are quite out done by the pot holes.
Male and female, and disabled toilets were shut. Busses were regular. You can pay either buy cash or card, several drop of points within the city and all near points of interest.
A. R.
Easy to find and easy to park up. Buses run regularly into York. Much better than trying to park for the day in York itself.
b. t.
This is an excellent way for a family to visit york, especially a visit to the railway museum as the stop is outside the museum
The service is frequent, clean and the staff are all friendly
There was plenty of parking slots available
Will use this facility again
J. C.
Good service but pikeys have taken up residence in car park and are terrorising passengers, drivers and damaging cars and buses by throwing stones. They have also smashed up the public toilet at the park and ride so they have had to be taken out of commission. Of course if you say anything to them they claim victimisation.
L. H.
Best thing the park and ride ..park up buy a return bus ticket to York centre ... great price and buses run regularly well done 👍
d. s.
Easy cheap and efficient way to get in to the centre of York regular buses to and from Rawcliffe bar
Definitely worth it
J. L.
Always like coming to York because the park and ride is so straight forward. Makes a day out easy.
P. N. P.
Very confusing entrance to this place. It was my first time in York and the Google navigation has given the route that uses a Bus Lane to enter into the car park. Until I drove there I didn't know it was a bus lane, but there was no way for a U turn. Hopefully I won't get a penalty ticket.
Location is good with wash room facilities and a children play area.
J. W.
Easy to get to and plenty of spaces. The bus was a large, bendy one and didn't take long to get into York. It was about £8 return for 5 of us.
P. C.
Good place to park a car or motorhome and there are plenty of parking spaces. It saves the hassle of trying to park in York. The bus takes about ten minutes to reach the city centre and they run every 10 minutes.
K. R.
Easy access by car. Really prompt service straight into the town centre. Best way to visit York by car.
M. F.
Very easy to use , very pleasant lady gave us tickets, explained how to use concession bus pass,on return journey, could not fault experience.
H. S.
First time user of hospital bus from Rawcliffe Bar; super service at low cost (OAP £1.20 return) and friendly helpful driver.
n. R.
Excellent parking and easy to use bus service from Rawcliffe Bar. Recommended.
P. W.
Free parking and £3.50 return each. Clean toilets at the terminal and plenty of stops into the city
A. P.
Made accseessing York so much easier. Reasonable prices. Very clean busses and the toilet facilities at the park and ride were clean too.
I. W.
Excellent service didn’t have to waite long going or on return and there’s plenty of car parking spaces and it’s good value for money .it certainly beats trying to find a space in York to park
S. W.
The very best way to experience York, never try and park in town, just let the bus take the strain and just enjoy a stress free day in a fabulous city
D. R.
Easy parking and buses keep going backwards and forwards until 11pm. Fantastic service.
p.
Good to get into York centre leaving your car in the car park.
G. M.
Easy to access buses run very frequently toilets available on site.
P. W.
Excellent service. Used for a couple of days rather than having to find parking in York city centre
C. S.
Good facilities at the park and ride, drivers were all friendly and service every 15 minutes. Low price and covered main parts of York city. Bus stops able to tell you exactly when bus will arrive and was late enough that could do a full day.
L. H.
Great way to visit York, reasonably priced bus tickets, buses every 15 minutes
M. F.
Great location. Park and ride.
t. h.
Loads of parking spaces, buses came quickly so even though the first was full we only waited a couple of minutes for the next. Accessible for wheelchair users with a large area to put the chair. The bus is able to rise and fall in order to put the floor at the same height as the kerb making getting on and off very easy. Tickets were a good price and children went free. The bus drops you very centrally in York and picks up from the same place which makes funding the return stop very easy. So much easier that trying to find a parking space in the city centre which we had spent nearly an hour doing the day before!
M. H.
Very convenient and easy way to park for York and get to the ancient city centre. Bus runs around a city centre loop so you can get off and back on from different locations. Useful.
M. N.
Brilliant service, didn’t have to wait more than a minute for the bus. The bus driver was hilarious as well and very friendly! My daughter got on for free as she is 14, kids are free so only cost £3.30 for myself, bargain. It’s the same bus stop on the way back, so really easy to use would definitely recommend this service rather than paying to park in York city centre.
H. P.
Bus service I can't complain about it's always been reliable and the car park is great and always has spaces to park. Only downside is the facilities at the station, could do with some TLC
D. R.
Quick bus service into York and very frequent. The adjacent play parl is great if you have kids with you.
N. c.
Later opening park and ride good for the North West of the city, minster, rail museum, York museum.
C. A.
Park and Ride is a must now days if your planning on visiting York, makes it so much easier. Thank you
R. D.
Never really used the bus facilities much at the park and ride (toilet, waiting room, bus stops) not have I used the parking facilities (parking, recycling). In fact, mostly I just walk through on the way to the river. It's a pleasant walk through though. No noise, litter or unruly louts. Just people parking up to catch the bus or walk along the river. Today I sat in the little children's part adjoining the site and just read and checked my blog. Quiet and nice.
S. C.
Car park very clean. Short ride into York. Only bust stop back I'd on Museum Street.
Outbound driver not very friendly or helpful.
r. 2.
It's a park and ride, was very good value, bus was very clean and the staff were very friendly.
M. T.
Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ride is conveniently located close to the A19 and only a short bus ride from the centre of York. The staff are friendly and helpful.
C.
Very handy, good price makes day out so much easier, easy to find and get in and out.
S. S.
Friendly staff. Make sure you hit the stop button, even if it has said what the next stop is. Buses not as nice as Grimston Bar.
C. H.
Good price, regular buses and only 10 minutes from the centre of York
R. R.
When we arrived it was very busy with the queue snacking right from the bus shelter to the back of the building but ad the busses were so regular and they fit alot of people on, it went down very fast.
There was lots of spaces to park and it only cost £3 for an adult return ticket into York. Much cheaper than parking in York City centre car parks for the day!
There are toilet facilities onsite. However, I cannot comment on them as I did not use the facilities.
D. K.
Easy loads off parking one easiest park and rides use and bus turned up with in 10 mins only problem had was I came back from the city centre at around 3.30 on a hot day and the bus was absolutely packed so maybe sort out with how often buses come at certain times and the toilets at the station were locked. Apart from those 2 thing the place was exactly what I needed to get in to york for the day
J. A.
Great park and ride. Very clean and easily accessible. The bus was great value and was in York City centre in about 10 minutes. When we visited some of the facilities were closed but assumed this was due to COVID restrictions.
J. G.
Wat a great service only £3.50 return and that includes ur parking
T. C.
A great Park and Ride service to get into the centre of York. It's a circular service so you embark onto the bus after your visit on the same side of the road as you disembark at the start of your visit. Masks are obligatory on the bus. When purchasing your ticket at the park office you can only pay by contactless or cash. On our visit the park toilets were closed when we arrived back to our car, it would be much better if these remained open during the operation times of the service.
C. M.
Great place to park just had a bit of difficulty getting back as we had two prams with us but otherwise it was a great experience
A. S.
If you wish to visit York, I highly recommend using the Park & Ride bus service.
The city is still based upon much of the medieval design, and getting around or parking is problematic at best.
The bus services are efficient, cover much of the main tourist areas, and very cost effective. I can highly recommend getting a day ticket, as this allows you much more flexibility in travel for not a lot more money.
The park site at Rawcliffe Bar is easy to reach, and most importantly stays open all day, with buses running until 10.00 at night; some of the others close earlier so it's worth checking in advance.
I found the drivers helpful with plenty of good advice; most seem to have detailed knowledge of the areas.
The buses are designed to be used by people with reduced mobility, so don't be afraid to make use of this service.
G. A.
Brilliant, my daughter who lives in that area just parked her car and we took the bus into York. Very efficient and saves so much time. Also gave us so much time catching up as because of the Pandemic we hadn't seen each other for 2 years. P.S I got to see my Darling Grandsons
L. B.
Great park and ride service, with lots of spaces, even for motorhomes. Took the hassle out of parking in the city centre
J. E.
Very reliable service. Every ten minutes. Friendly staff. Huge car park
P. B.
Buses come regularly and loads of spaces to park. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it was so easy
K. E.
Easy to get to, with good free parking. Simple to pay on bus with contactless card and for £6.60 return for two you couldn't get into York easier. Our driver was pleasent and helpful. The 2 drop off and pick up points are quite well placed for the west of the city, but it's all fairly flat so no great effort on foot to get round. 5/5 .
J. S.
A nicely organised bus service with lots of free parking.
C. W.
Excellent park and ride. Buses run bang on time.
C. S.
Very good for getting into York no worries about parking
R. G.
Easy way of going into York. I don't live in York but use this park and ride every time I visit. Buses are very regular with good stops. Ideal for National Rail museum.
V. P. G.
This park and ride got lots parking spaces. It's really great for commuting to city without any hastle. Group ticket is much cheaper. Frequent of bus service is good.
K. J.
Used this to park our VW crafter while going into York to go sightseeing. 10 spaces specially for campers park for free for the whole day. Looks on site and bus goes straight into town every ten minutes. Perfect and we will use again.
D. B.
One of the quieter York park and rides. Lots of buses, plenty of parking, toilets are good easy to get to off the ring road. Buses often busy if a weekend so be ready to stand however the journey is direct and doesn't take long
g. b.
Only used it for parking, but was easy to use.
Didn't use a bus
N. R.
Everything you need in a park and ride.
Well signposted clean loos, helpful staff
M. R.
Closer and quicker to the city than some of the other park n rides
J. H.
So easy to park and ride into York.
K. R.
Great bus service to city centre of York. Every 15 minutes. 10 minute walk from Mercure Fairfield Manor Hotel. Toilets at bus stop too and open. Useful. Friendly bus drivers. Great service. Reasonable value. Thank you!
L. C.
Lots of spaces to park and very frequent buses. Perfect!
A. C.
It is not signposted very well coming from Harrogate. Free OAP bus pass yet they demand £1.20. The bendy bus was full yet the Men's toilet block on site was firmly locked. All the men had to wait for one single mixed disabled toilet to come free. Ridiculous situation locking the men's toilets on a busy weekend. Drive into town, especially if you have 3 passengers as it will cost you £12.80 to use the park and ride.
G. M.
Great place to park for travelling and also dog walking
S. B.
Easy way to park and get into York
R.
Frequent buses into the centre of York, takes a back route to limit time spent in traffic. Lots of seats and easy ticket options. £3.30 adult day return.
b. s.
Brilliant service much cheaper than parking
B. E.
Don't bother trying to park in York City centre. The park and ride is less stressful, just as cheap as parking, and the buses run every 10 minutes or so.
D. B.
It's better to do the park n ride saves you driving round for a carpark
R. P.
Regular service plus £3.30 return per person at the time of our visit. Driver courteous and professional. Drops right outside railway museum if you want or very close to York minster if you wish. Short walk to shambles etc.
d. h.
Park and ride was great but the area stunk as it's right next to a sewage works.
J. P.
Plenty of parking and facilities; good price for the bus into town and back (which includes parking) and plenty of pick up/drop off points.
Also an electric car charge point (just one) in the corner so you can come back to a fully charged car.
D. C.
Excellent service, on time and drivers very helpful.
If you are going to the York railway museum, you need to tell the driver when you get in the bus, otherwise it will take you straight into York Center.
About a 10 minute stroll into York centre from museum. And pick up point is outside museum gardens just over the bridge.
r. h. (.
Use the park and ride when staying at one of the caravan parks in to York drops you at the shambles just ask the driver they Are always very helpful used our pensioner pass so it cost us £2:40 for the two of us parking and bus .mutch easier than driving around York trying to find parking spaces👏👌👍🚙🚌
k. f.
Ideal place to park your car, rather than drive into the city. Buses are plentiful. need to get the men's toilet fixed.
A. J.
Good facilities with regular buses into York.
J. W.
We have used the park and ride for years, the staff are friendly and helpful and it's so much better than driving around looking for a parking space
J. C.
Helpful driver, clean bus, on time and not far from where we were staying. Plus with our oldies bus pass, only £1.60 return to York. Saves the hassle of traffic and parking....
A. W.
Plenty of room in the car park. Didn't have to wait long for the bus. £6.60 return for two of us. Dropped off near the Minster. Very convenient.
S.
Perfect easy to use. We parked up the bus was ready. Straight into York, just as easy to get back.
M. G.
Nice picnic area just off the cycle route.
B. G.
Helpful and friendly staff. Good way to visit York.
J. G.
Park and ride facility is in good operational state. Loads of car spaces, buses are running every 7 mins, sometimes even 2 together. Toilets just need a bit of update, but still in good shape. Car park itself is very close to round road of York, gets busy in festive seasons.
a. h.
Great ! Very straight forward. Gets busy, but frequent.
K. V. O.
Great services here! I just wanted a walk to York and back by the river so decided to use this car park. I needed to urgently use the toilet 3 times this day though which luckily for me, there were some free public toilets to use. I was very satisfied with this incredible service!
C. H.
Great reduced rates for York Hospital park and ride. Frequent buses from early a.m. Loses 1 star though as they dont operate one for the East side of York ☹️
g. l.
was there on Sunday, just so grateful the toilets were open...
S. R.
Much easier to do then drive!
E. F.
I use this bus very frequently. Friendly drivers, plenty space in the car park - regular 10 minute departures and they work hard to keep to schedule. But if York city centre traffic is bad there will likely be delays - not the fault of First Bus or the drivers. Highly recommended service. Thank you.
J. T.
Good price and buses run regularly. A good service to instead of trying to find a parking space in the city.
J. M.
We always use this , when in york . Why try parking in the centre when you can get dropped off there. Really good service . Busses are always clean and comfy.
J. W.
So easy to get into york no hassle
D. H.
Great , regular service easy parking
E. H.
It's a park and ride not a lot to be said!!
Just a couple of things, what's with the vile sewerage pong?
And exiting is not for the faint hearted, the roundabout that you have to use, is dangerous, do wish it had lights.
A. M.
Don't even think about driving into York when this service exists. The only improvement would be ticket machines in the car park to speed up boarding as currently you pay the driver.
R. N.
Easy to use service, some delays to be expected but the buses are generally regular, clean, regular stops and easy to buy top up cards for commuters.
K. C.
Excellent service, you'd be crazy not to use it! Regular clean buses, clear drop off/pick up points, well priced, can't fault it.
G. L.
Great park and ride service with friendly helpful drivers. Contactless payment is good...hold your card in position until the driver tells you it's done (really helpful tip when you're a visitor to the city, from one of the friendly drivers). Much easier than parking in the city, and the service continues into the evening. Great job, you bus drivers, much appreciated.
P. C.
Excellent service with great prices, handy for going into York and stress free not having to look for parking. Regular buses and drivers very helpful
O. B.
Very good park and ride, full day parking for £7
M. O.
Simply the best way to visit York by car. Convenient, quick and clean. Just please re open the toilets as there was only one disabled one open at our visit and the light didn't work!
i. c.
A good place to park a car and catch a bus. Does its two key functions well. Bit close to sewage farm but it's free parking so hard to grumble
M. J.
Great service. Easy to park free of charge. Clean buses. Helpful friendly drivers and buses run frequently all week
p. s.
Clean and easy to use park and ride, if you're going into York you should use this facility s it's much cheaper than parking in the city.
D. K.
Very well run operation and a great cheap way to park and travel into york centre.
D. W.
Lady in the ticket office was really helpful and made sure I didn't accidentally pay for the kids!
It can be quite dark getting back to the car after the sun is down.
c. s.
Short bus ride into the city and plenty of parking spaces.
C. A. W.
Great place. Easy ride and Very often the buses. Very helpful and clean. No stress with parking and Very cheap
D. T.
Every UK City should have a facility like this. Friendly driver who explained ticket arrangements and convenient location outside inner city with ample car parking. Return journey back from York was very busy and the bus had extra passenger capacity to deal with peak travel times.
S. s.
Fantastic driver
So helpful
Decent price too
H. L.
Lots of trees so you can park in the shade, which is useful for the dog. So many car parks do not provide any shade.
G. W.
easy to use and quickest way into town from Scarborough
S. T.
Can't fault this service. Free car park, lots of spaces . Good toilets and info centre. The buses are cheap and frequent. Best way to get onto York as its only 10/15 minutes to the centre (parking and driving in York is a nightmare!).
A. N.
Very big and spacious car parks . Regular buses and there is a York hospital bus that you can get when your visiting hospital, so you don't have to pay high prices at the hospital car park.
Plenty of dog walking routes to be found as well .
m. m.
Excellent service lots of parking spaces. It is alot easier using this service than trying to park in the city centre.
L. B.
Efficient, easy to use and cost effective.
M. T.
Easy place to get to. Plenty of space, buses very frequent. Can also walk into York from there
J. C.
Quick, efficient service, well priced in comparison to city centre parking. Very helpful staff and drivers.
D. D.
Lots of space for car oakeing and using the bus into town. Service run often at a good price. A children's park nearby and bike dirt tracks that are great fun for all the family. Alps near the river which offers a lovely walk.
N. T.
Clean and tidy bus. So convenient for visiting York. The late departure times from York were really helpful.
G. S.
Excellent service. By far the best park n ride in York
It's just a shame all the drivers aren't as friendly as the one guy that ALWAYS says "good morning" welcome on board. He is a breath of fresh air.
There's one lad with facial hair that's SO abrupt. He seems to go out of his way to be loud n aggressively spoken.
You will know which two I'm on about
P. W.
Quick and easy to park on the North side of York. We didnt have long to wait either going or returning on our visit and will definitely use it again. It was cheaper, for the both of us, to use the Park and Ride bus than using the town centre car parks. FYI children up to 16 are not charged.
K. B.
Have used this service many times in the past but unfortunately 2day in these strange times my elderly parents & I found our driver rude & abrupt. My parents had their bus pass & what they thought was the correct fare the driver told them they had to pay by contactless my parents didn't have a card to pay so the driver snapped at them & said "well u can pay cash but u need the correct change" unfortunately my parents aren't mind readers & without being told how do u know the correct fare?? The driver then proceeded with the same attitude to me. There is simply no reason to be rude he could have easily explained the situation that apparently u can pay cash but need correct money but contactless is preferred.
T. K.
Easy to get to, easy to.park, easy to use and easy to leave after. Why battle through the traffic and pay extortionate carparking fees to end up walking further to reach the centre!
M. B.
So much easier to use this method of transportation to get into York. £3-something for a return journey can't be sniffed at.
B. B.
Highly recommended this for visitors to York. Easy and cheap way to park, and bus services are frequent and quick.
M. W.
Regular service with a good price. Parking in York is very expensive. It was cheaper for three adults to park here and then catch the bus. Warning, if the ticket office is closed you can't use credit cards and have to pay on cash. The ticket office opening hours are limited
J. A. W.
Well worth using this facility. 15 minutes to town no hassle. Bus returns every 10- 15 mins.
P. F.
Always use this car park to get i to York
j. s.
Good park n ride price very good ,buses every 10 minutes good service ,not long bus ride into city centre
J. S.
So easy to park and never long to wait for a bus to take you into York .Pleasant bus drivers too
a. m.
The only way to travel into town , wouldn't like to walk from the premier inn , where we were staying, if it was raining .
S. O.
Lovely people, well organised, bus shelters keep you updated with arrival time, couldn't fault them 😃
N. T.
Free car park designed for the park and ride. A lot easier and cheaper than trying to park in the city centre.
T. R.
Relaxing.
V. m.
Of all the park and rides it offers the best combo of parking and bus riding. Now opens to sensible hours so you don't have to use the robbing car parks in York. Dick Turpin should have opened a car park instead that's legit highway robbery🤔
K. T.
Excellent service . friendly drivers However needs more eye-catching information board locating at hospital areas and Rawcliffe park together with a better rest at designated pick up stop, seat with a back on it.otherwis it maybe use it or Los it.
D. l.
Brilliant way to get into york city centre.effortless.6quid return for the 2 of us.free parking.10mins on the bus.great service
M. D.
Where else can you park all day in York, get in to town without hassle or stress for £3.20 return (includes 2 kids per adult), leave your car knowing it's safe. Park and Ride is the only way.
N. P.
Free parking reasonable bus fares to the city centre. Worth using it saving the hassle of going round in circles looking for a parking space.
Very efficient service every 10 mins, so you don't wait for a long time. Friendly and helpful staff.
M. L.
A useful and practical way of getting into York without driving.
I thought the service was efficient and well worthy of a reccomendation.
J. C.
Makes a trip into York so much easier. Didn't have to wait long for the bus at either end of my trip there.
J. W.
Hassle free way to travel into york, busses every 5 minutes at the most. Drivers always friendly and helpful. Great that you can pay your fair with a debit card.
C. K.
Used this park and ride for a few years and never have any issues. Drivers always polite and courteous and always a comfortable journey.
A. C.
Most drivers are lovely. Bit unreliable especially in the evenings getting out of the city, but mostly a good service. Would be better if site outside the ring road, as a nightmare to get to rawcliffe in the mornings.
S. E.
Free parking and a cheap bus, short bus ride into York. Perfect!
S. R.
Great place for walking your dogs
A. D.
Great for getting into York and not having to pay extortionate parking fees. Return bus fare is £2.30, or £1.00 if you've got a bus pass, as of June 2019.
R. T.
Like any park and ride really. Car park OK plenty of greenery.
Had to drop a couple of stars for the entrance which is a selection of back breaking potholes.
Ouch.
J. F. P.
Great we stop at a local hotel park in the carpark and walk the ten minute walk all flat and for 6.30 return for two straight in the centre in 10 mins you cannot go wrong
C. W.
Decent P&R with good bus service into York. Easy to park and enter/exit.
M. L.
Really great park and ride facility for getting into York without the hassle of looking for a car park...and if you have a bus pass, better still. The bus takes you right into the heart of the city and runs every 10 mins...couldn't be simpler...
P. D.
Easily accesable from the A19 and York ring road and is the only sensible way to enjoy York City centre. Lots of free parking and buses leaving every 7 to 10 minutes starting early and finishing last bus aporox 10.30 from Museum Gardens. The bus stops at various places I to town on a loop covering York Railway Museum, the Railway Station and city centre. Individual fares and family ticket available. Journey time into the city approx 15mjns depending on traffic.
There is now a new service going directly to York District hospital which takes approx 20mins depending on traffic and takes you right to the hospital doors. This service can save you a lot of money as parking at the hospital is tight and cost £2.20 ph. A great new service which runs from 6.30am to 8.30pm.
D. A.

G. F.
Clean, tidy and good facilities
P. W.
Grate Journey out with my wife who has health problems but the driver on the rerun journey at 1535 Approximately from York to Rawcliffe Bar was most ignorant and totally rude We have used the service many times and always found the drivers very helpful and curious to older passengers (Vehicle 1102 driver 171477 Trip ID 1233/ Ticket 269356 Maybe he will be old one day ??
L.

The parking and regular bus service are brilliant but have to say the majority off the drivers could benefit from some customer service training

OK park and ride terminus - it can't help being next to a sewage treatment plant. The exit directly onto the ring road propels you onto the roundabout of doom. Instead leave by the exit onto Shipton Road and if you are heading out of York you have a bit more of a fighting chance.
F. W.

August 2019, £3.20 return on the bus (Rawcliffe bar park and ride) with free parking, bus takes a few minutes in and out of town, plenty of buses run so regular, no need to worry about am I going to make it back to car before I get a fine, parking in town is expensive as well, and that is if you can find a space, park and ride it, save the hassle of finding that parking space, and save some money, you would be daft to do it any other way.
