I first went to see Jack as I was having issues with my shoulder and had been in pain for some time due to working at a desk all day and during COVID working fom home with incorrect set up. He immediately recognised the problem and helped fix the issue in only a couple of sessions and I have been pain free ever since.  Now I have regular weekly 1 to 1 PT sessions that I always really look forward to. Jack has helped me to work on my strength showing me new exercises and techniques to build muscle and by using equipment that I wouldn't have access to at home or wouldn't attempt on my own at a gym because I did not feel confident enough to use the weights section. I'm now moving more easily, lifting 🏋🏼‍♀️the heaviest weights I've ever attempted and continuing to get PBs at each session. I have recently hit a personal goal of an unassisted chin up after only 8 PT sessions!  I would highly recommend Jack, he is a real pro and gives clear advice and tips in order to help you achieve your goals whatever they may be. He also motivates you to push yourself to the best of your ability. Thank you so much Jack for helping me become more confident and making me realise that I'm not as weak as I thought I was 😆 I look forward to you helping me get even stronger 💪🏼and hitting more PBs in the future

I have visited TM a few times now, initially to have an ongoing shoulder pain assessed. The pain had persisted for almost a year and the issue had been limiting my progress in CrossFit, particularly overhead squatting. Jack is an absolute gent and makes you feel at ease very quickly. He assessed my upper body and found areas of tightness outside of the shoulder itself. Throughout the assessment and subsequent treatment, Jack thoroughly explains his thought process and left me with no doubt that he is passionate and knows his field. At the end of my sessions, Jack has given me homework to keep my shoulders in good health and prevent similar issues occurring in the future. I no longer have any issues with my left shoulder and have been able to make massive progress with overhead squats! Very pleased and would definitely recommend TM to anyone with niggling musculature pain.

Went to see Jack with an ongoing issue in my right arm. He identified the issue and gave me exercises to do for a few weeks while my arm healed up as well as working on the tension built up in my bicep. As well as my arm feeling loads better, my upper back has got so much stronger - pull ups feel loads better and I've got a new bench PB! Would highly recommend True Movement!

I finally booked a session with Jack to look at some shoulder pain and discomfort hat had been plaguing me for years. Within minutes he had identified a discrepancy in the height of my shoulder blades and what could be causing it. He then worked to loosen the muscles around my shoulder to increase the range of movement. He has also given me exercises to do to help get the surrounding muscles firing properly. I'm looking forward to booking my follow up appointment. Jack's approach was caring and competent and left me in no doubt that he can help me to prevent pain in my shoulder going forward. (He also diagnosed another injury I'd sustained which I'd neglected to tell him about) Paying was easy too with his new card machine. All round great service. Would definitely recommend.

Jack has been great working with my husband. Double amputee, wheelchair Basketball player and runner, takes it toll on Craigs body. Moving from being in a basketball wheelchair to running on his blades has been hard on his back & shoulders. Craig has started to stoop when walking on prosthetics, struggling to straighten up, no flexibility in his legs with glutes, activation and range of movement, resulting in pain and discomfort! Jack has worked wonders week in week out, and Craig has seen a massive improvement in his flexibility and no back pain etc. I also have had a couple of appointments with Jack for my shoulders and back, due to my posture, and again even in a couple of sessions I have felt and seen such an improvement! So glad we have found Jack, We highly recommend him

I thought I needed a bit of help loosening up my hamstrings after intense post-op rehab had left them a bit tight. Turns out they were VERY tight (rock solid in places according time Jack) and in need of A LOT of deep soft tissue work. Jack put my initial fears at ease, explaining everything in a clear and easily understood way, and made sure I was comfortable at all times. He also did a bloody amazing job teasing the huge knots and lumps out of my legs in next to no time. Legs felt so much better. Can't recommend Jack highly enough!

We started working with Jack 6 months ago at the time my father had zero mobility with no confidence and having to frequently be in hospital rehabilitation. Jack has very patiently worked with my Dad taking him from zero mobility to being able to stand easily and walk for 100 yards. He can now get in and out of the car and walk to and from social areas. We can’t tell you what a difference he’s made and how he’s opened back up an 85 year old mans world.

I had been having pain in my lower back for weeks and thought I’d be spending the next few weeks looking at the ground rather than standing up straight however after just one session with Jack the pain in my lower back had eased and he had given me the confidence to go away a strengthen my back through some daily exercises. The following morning I was able to stand up straight and get back to normality. He’s very informative and comfortable to be around. It’s a no brainier go and see him if you have an issue.

I started attending Jack's TruFit bootcamps, this was a friendly & inclusive environment, with options for everyone. I decided to start some weekly Personal Training Sessions with Jack in January 2022. I have since increased these sessions to twice a week. Jack has a really personalised & inclusive approach to movement & training. The focus is on mobility & strength, achieving goals to maintain health & ability to do things in everyday life. It has taken me nearly 20 years to find a place I feel safe to exercise in, in Jack's care is that place. He is able to push me in a way that challenges me to achieve things I never thought my body could & my confidence in my body's ability has just grown & grown. Each session is different, targeted & fun. Jack is also on hand to give advice on nutrition for training & life. I am in no doubt I am more mobile, in less pain & stronger because of Jack's training.

I injured my shoulder a week before going away on a golf trip and it was still a bit sore when swinging just before going away. Jack ran some assessments and found the root of the cause. He then gave me some strengthening exercises to help with recovery and also taped up my shoulder for the weekend to help support my shoulder and relieve the pain. Would definitely recommend going to Jack!

Jack is able to look at the whole picture of what could be causing the pain, rather than just treating the area of pain. After 1 session my muscles are freer meaning I am able to complete exercise under no strain. He is thorough and listens well to the client. I will definitely be back for any injury or tightness.

I started training last summer in group classes at a local gym. I joined to get fitter and to tackle the middle age spread.at a local gym where Jack is based. As a keen martial artist and cyclist I enjoyed exercising but I was struggling to do basic movements and throws. This is a result of several injuries over the years and my back. It quickly became apparent in the classes that I couldn't move very well and struggled with many of the exercises. Jack quickly identified some of the issues and the reasons I was having them and I decided to sign up for a set of 10 PT sessions. From not being able to squat including getting the bar ony shoulders within 10 weeks I was performing a back squat weighing 100kg. Over the last 6 months I have become fitter, stronger and more flexible. My body has changed and I am starting to resemble the man I was 10 years ago! My highlight was lifting 205kg on the Trapbar. I am rarely in pain now and I am able to perform Jujitsu like I did in my 20s. This is all down to Jack's knowledge and understanding of the body and how it works and his ability to personalise exercise to suit the individual. He is empathetic, positive and encouraging and for those of us lacking confidence he is calmly reassuring whilst pushing you to exceed what you think is possible. He does a great soft tissue massage too! If you're young or old and you want to get fit and move better then give him a call. You won't regret it.

Jack was recommended to me through someone online and I am so glad I went with my gut and hired him as my PT. I had chronic pain issues with my back, knees and hips which then affected my entire body and was told by so many people I had fibro, piriformis syndrome and so many other issues which has been a huge hinderance to my fitness over the past 7 years. After a few weeks with Jack, we worked on my alignment and mobility. Jack literally pin pointed the issue within the first session of me having an anteria tilted pelvis and the way I was moving was causing damage to the other parts of my body. With this change, and strengthening work for weeks and weeks - months later, I am completely pain free, I move better than I ever believed possible and I am actually lifting HEAVY weights. I have gained so much muscle, I am strong, healthy and so much more confident in the gym and in my body. I highly recommend Jack as a PT. Before going to see Jack for my first session he had already been so generous with advice to me. We work out at the same gym, and for free, he has given me so much advice. He truly cares about people and after my first session with him, I feel very confident in finally getting my back issues sorted. Jack did the most comprehensive assessment of my body that I think I have ever had and explained everything as we were going along. He gave me exercises to be getting on with and showed me how to do them all by myself. On top of all of this he is a thoroughly decent chap and a pleasure to be around.

Booking was really easy with the online booking system available through the True Movement Sports Theraphy website. This was followed up by an email regarding any additional questions etc... Jack immediately made me feel at ease and it’s very clear that he knows his stuff. Jack took a very detailed medical history and we spoke at length about past and present injuries (I’m pretty broken at the moment). I think it’s easy to say that my injuries are not the most straight forward however this was not an issue for Jack. After his assessments He recommended treatment for my injuries. He is excellent at explaining the problem and how it can be fixed. It is really clear that Jack absolutely loves what he does and cares about his patients. Sports Massage has a reputation for being quite painful however Jack’s techniques are effective, yet gentle. If it was painful Jack was quick to adjust his technique to ensure that it was comfortable for me. Jack also recommended three rehab exercises for me to do at home which are quick and simple to do. He showed me what to do and allowed me time to practise them with him so I get it right. They don’t take hours like ones I have been given in the past. These will allow me to build strength and condition at home in between treatments hopefully leading to a faster recovery. Following his treatment, it is the first time I’ve not been bruised by a sports massage therapist, I’ve had over 30 recently like I say I’m pretty broken! After the treatment I noticed that I could walk much better and I could run further! I managed one mile on the Thursday before my treatment on the Friday and on the Sunday I took part in a 10 mile road race! I wouldn’t have managed that without Jack’s treatment! A couple of days after my first session Jack messaged me to check how things were following my treatment. I would highly recommend Jack at True Moment Sports Therapy for any aches, pains and injuries so that you can get back to being pain free and active again. Thanks Jack
