I was introduced to Fitness Belfast's beginner yoga classes through the wellness programme at my place of employment and what a gift it was! Although initially apprehensive (nearly 60 years of age, inactive for 30 years and past injuries) I soon realised it was the best thing I have done for myself in decades! Gary's teaching style is positive, supportive and inclusive. His approach is tailored to the needs of each individual client - even when you're part of a group. I never once felt self-conscious or out of place, nor did I feel the need to compare myself or my progress to that of others. That was down to Gary's philosophy and his ability to keep us focused on our own individual journey. Gary did not lead us all into the same pose, but offered several variations on each pose for differing abilities and all were embraced equally. There was no competition, no body shaming, no ego..I absolutely LOVED every minute of it. If you are considering even a minor change in your quality of life, in your fitness levels, your balance and/or flexibility, even your frame of mind, I CANNOT recommend these classes highly enough. They are for everyone - from absolute beginner to practiced pro - and everyone in between. You will come away feeling refreshed, empowered, peaceful and satisfied. With Gary's yoga classes, its about your own journey in a supportive and accessible environment. Do it. You won't regret it.

Gary ran a 6-week online course for our organisation. He was able to provide a great proposal for the course for us to take to management and has all the infrastructure for invoicing and payment. He is well setup for managing participant registration, Zoom calls and hosting the recorded sessions. The yoga sesions were great, a good balance of being accessible and challenging. Gary managed to demonstrate and explain everything well even though the sessions were online, his experience and enthusiasm were very clear. Would highly recommend Fitness Belfast for personal or corporate courses.

Fitness Belfast is fun and effective! Gary makes your overall health, both physical and mental, his top priority. He’s knowledgeable and professional, but more importantly, he really cares about each of his clients and meets them where they’re at in terms of their ability. He provides a positive environment and encourages his group fitness classes in a way that builds a supportive community of people at all varying levels of fitness. I always found exercise to be a chore and found every excuse to avoid it. But my weight was increasing over lockdown. I needed to do something. I saw an ad on social media for the Kickass Bootcamp with fitness Belfast and thought I'd give it a go. Sure it was only for 8 weeks. 8 weeks which turned into another 8 weeks and another 8 weeks. I kept going back. Gary is just brilliant. He makes you feel so welcome to the group and makes it fun to exercise. Never thought I'd say fun and exercise in the same sentence but there it is. If you are looking for exercise with a knowledgeable, professional, friendly, trainer with a bit of fun thrown in, then I'd highly recommend Gary at fitness Belfast. You will not regret it

I can’t recommend these classes enough at fitness Belfast- Gary is such an amazing coach, pushes you but also tailors each class to keep every fitness level involved! The bootcamp classes are great fun in the park and the TRX small group training really push you and build your strength! Plus his classes feel like a little family, everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Would recommend these to everyone I know :)

Gary is a fantastic instructor - fun, energetic and motivational. I challenge anyone to come to a Kickass Bootcamp class and not giggle, feel energised and meet a great bunch of people. Exercising in the outdoors is good for the soul, and Gary incorporates yoga into the class, as well as exciting cardio and strength workouts. It is great to experience a class that combines fitness, fun, the outdoors and even some sunshine!

Fitness Belfast is awesome! I have been doing yoga with Gary for three years now. Gary has always been friendly, helpful and super knowledgeable.
I had been going to BroFlo but since the covid-19 situation my classes have moved online via Zoom - this has been great. As regardless of the situation in the world or where my yoga mat is, I always leave the mat feeling great. I get so much from these classes.
I recommend yoga to everyone but also Fitness Belfast. As three years ago I was a beginner to yoga and I doubt I would have maintained this regular practice without Gary's welcoming and inclusive studio he has built.

Brilliant circuit classes! Gary really knows his stuff and explains everything in a practical, friendly way. His class structure is really well put together, offers a great workout and he somehow always manages to put a smile on our faces.

I cannot recommend Kickstart Bootcamp highly enough!
I can wholeheartedly say that Gary makes sure his classes cater to all ability and fitness levels. He is supportive and accommodating in this approach so you never feel daunted by what you’re asked to do. I feel that this is a huge reason as to why the Fitness Belfast community is so diverse and ever growing.
You will work hard and sweat plenty but you’ll laugh along the way.
Oh and I 100% concur with the other comments about Gary’s dodgy taste in music and inability to count correctly... :)

Kickstart Bootcamp was a fantastic way to get back into exercise again after having a baby. Gary is a great trainer. The Bootcamp’s are so good and accessible for all levels of fitness. Outdoors in the park or via zoom, Gary brings a professional and structured approach which is hard work but also fun with a great community of like minded people. I would highly recommend trying this out you won’t regret it!

I can’t recommend Gary highly enough. I’ve been doing Kickass Bootcamp for just over a year and my ability and confidence in exercise has grown massively. Gary has a great way of respecting everyone’s ability and positively encouraging you to reach new goals in your exercise journey.
