I have been training with Connor for about a year now and have seen a big improvement in my fitness and wellbeing. I have also lost significant weight which was one of my goals. Conner is very knowledgeable and makes the sessions fun and interesting. The studio is excellent and fully equipped. It has been one of the best decisions I've done getting a personal trainer as it's kept me motivated and committed. I would highly recommend Optimum Physique and Conner as a personal trainer.
I have been training with Connor at Optimum Physique for a number of years and it’s the longest I have ever stuck with PT, as he really gets results. Both training rooms have plenty of equipment for a varied workout, with machines, free weights, bands, balance boards and more. Connor is great at motivating, without being pushy and is flexible when things don’t work or injury gets in the way. He is a good listener, sets realistic goals and keeps the workouts varied so they never get boring. He is also excellent at putting things in perspective and making me appreciate how much I have achieved when I’m feeling demotivated. I would (and frequently do) recommend Connor to anyone as a trainer.
I’ve trained with Connor since 2018. He’s helped me significantly with posture and muscle tone. I’m in my 40’s and have a busy job, I find the sessions keep my physical and mental fitness on track. Each session incorporates strength training and some stretches to complete. Overall, I have seen great improvement in stability and balance which makes positive differences to my daily life (and yoga practice when I do it!). Connor is fun, friendly and reliable which helps with my confidence. These sessions are methodically planned and delivered with care and expertise, he explains any new exercises clearly. I recommend studio PT sessions for the range of equipment available and Connor has recently provided sessions over video call as I no longer live in Poole, which has enabled me to continue with a routine while on the move. Results are great and I recommend PT sessions with Connor, I’ll be continuing with mine into my 50s and 60s!
I’ve been training with Connor for just under a year. He’s very knowledgeable and keeps the sessions interesting. He’s a great listener and tailors each session to your ability but gives you a comfortable push. I’ve definitely grown stronger and my confidence in the gym has improved since training with Connor. The sessions are always enjoyable, I would recommend Connor and this gym space 1000%!
Connor is by far the best trainer I have ever worked with. Before I joined this gym I had given up multiple times because they pushed me so hard that I was too sick to go home straight after the sessions. BUT Connor completely changed the game for me. I'm actually looking forward to coming to our sessions every time. He's an excellent motivator, always pays attention to my physical wellbeing, changes the exercise if necessary when I have issues with my back for instance. Also he's a great conversation partner. These sessions gave me confidence and finally I feel good about myself. I honestly couldn't recommend him highly enough.
Connor made our sessions both rewarding and enjoyable. We did 12 sessions with him and each one had its own spin which kept them interesting.
His experience as a trainer allowed him to adapt the sessions to slowly build up strength in my partners previously injured knee and regain some confidence with it. All while keeping the sessions challenging and engaging.
If you want to work hard, but also enjoy your workout with a good playlist then Connor is your person to go to!
Have been training with Connor for nearly two years now and have never considered swapping trainers. The gym is modern and well equipped. Only place in the area I know you can have a one on one training session with the room all to yourself ! Would highly recommend :)
I have been training with Connor regularly for the last couple of years and can highly recommend him. He helped me define my objectives, devise a training plan and has supported me to execute it. I couldn’t be happier with the results…plus, he’s a great down to earth guy who I really enjoy spending time with on a weekly basis. If you’re thinking about trying a PT then Connor is your man 💪
Peter's a great personal trainer. I've had a number of sessions with him over the last few years and I can testify to his keen eye and understanding of what's going on with my body and where I need to work. He's great fun to work with, and can be relied on to push me just beyond where I think I can go, which really worked for me. The gym is brilliantly equipped, and just generally a pleasant spacious environment in which to work. Highly recommended.
Kasia is the best personal trainer I have ever had. She tailors the workouts to what you need in my case to avoid injuries and improve my strength to play better tennis which has really worked and a bonus is improved muscle definition with stronger abs and glutes. She makes every work out varied so it’s never boring and you always feel you learn something and are challenged. The studio is great too large and bright with all the best equipment.
I have trained with Peter for years and I loved every single session. He helped me recover from my long term back issue - when I started I was in a lot of pain. Peter helped me become much stronger and gain confidence in my ability to use my back efficiently again. His expertise and understanding of the body is incredible, he’s got a real passion for the subject and is very generous, kind and able to motivate people extremely well. I really appreciated his person- centred approach and focus on what I needed on the specific day, I always felt very safe and supported. I have never met a better trainer. Thank you Peter 🙏.
I have used personal trainers for a number of years, as I recognise that without outside help I will not be as fit as I want or need to be. Peter is far and away the best trainer I have come across. Every session is different and yet complementary to whatever I am doing. For instance, if I am about to go skiing, the exercise sessions will be angled towards those specific needs. Equally, if I turn up to a session with a niggle in my back or neck, he will relentlessly pursue that problem until resolved. It helps that he has trained in chiropractic techniques and has a deep understanding of the relationship between skeleton, muscle and exercise. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking long-term fitness and mobility.
I have been training with Peter for an hour each week for the past 5 years at his efficient and comfortable gym in Westbourne. With his guidance and skill I have substantially increased my core strength and flexibility allowing me to participate in the sporting activities that I so enjoy. We often concentrate on exercises specifically for skiing, fishing and golf and his help and enthusiasm are instrumental in the enjoyment of my retirement.
I have been training once a week for an hour for the last five years. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and wanted to build and maintain my physical fitness. There is no doubt I am fitter and stronger and more flexible than I was and managing to keep the worst affects of PD at bay. Most people are not aware that I have PD and I put this largely down to Peter's skill in working on my core strength, posture, balance and co-ordination. My husband comes too and Peter manages to keep us both interested and on our toes by varying the tasks and equipment.
I have been training with Peter twice a week for about 12 years. I am now 73 going on 43! Still able to do everything I could in my 'youth' plus some. My favourite sport is ski-ing and Peter is, amongst his many other talents, a ski instructor so knows all the exercises to get and keep me fit for my annual ski trip.
He is also brilliant at sorting out all my various aches and pains that have come and gone over the years. He knows every bone and muscle by name and sorts them out if they start complaining. I recently had a painful hip problem and feared a hip replacement was looming. However a few weeks of specialised exercise and deep massage and all is nearly sorted!
Wherever we have exercised over the years - and we have rarely been in his studio - he has managed to turn the area into a first class gym using every passing tree, post and wall and the occasional swing and climbing frame and a collection of brilliant, portable, equipment. He makes every session fun and I cannot recommend him too highly.
Great facilities, including 2 gyms and massage therapy suite. My PT at Optimum Physique is Connor Perris, and he is such a patient and encouraging trainer who really knows his strength and conditioning training. Highly recommend this gym for anyone who wants a more personalised training approach.
I‘ve been training with Optimum Physique for over 5 years and the improvement to my health and wellbeing has been incredible. Kasia and Peter are very knowledgable and really lovely people too. From day 1, Kasia understood my goals and knew just how much to push me to get me to where I wanted to be and within a year I could see muscles I never knew I had, I was a new super lean me. Having had two babies since she has helped me get back to my shape again within just a few months and I keep getting comments from people like they can’t believe I have two children. Kasia has also been a real help at times when I’ve suffered from various injuries and her knowledge has been crucial in supporting me with physio exercises to help me recover.
My training sessions with Optimum Physique are an invaluable part to my fitness and wellbeing and all I can say to anyone looking for a personal trainer is if you’re looking to be the best you can be in terms of fitness, look no further then Optimum Physique, they’re worth every penny!
When the flyer came through the mail box for Katherine Jawor my wife made enquiries and followed through making a booking. Katherine is much more than a gym instructor. She takes an overall view of your needs and health issues. For me after I was told by a heart specialist to improve fitness and lose weight I also followed through with Katherine. Attention to my diet combined with fitness and increased flexibility lost me 57 pounds and 6 inches around my waist. I now enjoy a much improved physical state that I have maintained for over a year. My wife and I are happy to recommend Katherine and Peter her husband if you are serious about improving your lifestyle, fitness and flexibility.

This is a great place to train, I've been coming here for quite a few years now, it has two gyms with a therapy suite and well maintained equipment. I also can't express what a difference Kasia has made to my life! I suffered from terrible back pain for years and the quality of life I now have from training at Optimum Physique is wonderful whilst also maintaining my fitness. I can't thank her enough!! I’ve suffered from a lower back pain for over a year and within that time regularly attended appointments with a chiropractor as I was hoping this will help. However, this was only a temporary solution and the pain wasn’t improving. Finally, I decided to approach the problem differently and seek help from a personal trainer. I wanted to strengthen my core, address any muscular imbalances and get stronger. I was very lucky to find Kasia as she turned out to be a perfect match for me! She not only has the knowledge and expertise but is also a good motivator and genuinely wants to help. After three months of regular exercises with Kasia, the back pain is gone, my posture significantly improved, and I continue to get stronger. I can already tell this is one of the best investments for my health I’ve made and am excited to continue the journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Kasia and Optimum Physique.
I have been using Peter as my trainer for a year and I would highly recommend him. The studio is great, private and clean with good equipment and Peter has great knowledge in the world of fitness and nutrition. Wether it be muscle building or fat loss. Taking the first step towards your goals can be the hardest but it is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere

Individualised attention. Exercises highly specific to your sporting needs, and if one has any back problems there is a very good and supportive programme for improving core strength as well. There are also excellent opportunities for small group isometric strength and aerobic fitness training. I was advised to come to Optimum Physique after a major back episode and have been coming here regularly for nearly five years. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I had PETER Jawor as my PT at optimum physique from 2007-2013 and then I moved to Australia. I have had personal trainers since 1999. He is by far and away the best trainer I have ever had. He has excellent knowledge and communication skills. He takes a genuine personal interest in your health and fitness - something that is rare in PTs. He makes exercising fun too. He was so good that I recommended him to both my friends and patients to help maintain good health.

I am a 75 year old and have been exercising with Peter twice a week for twelve years. Basically started in order to try and maintain some kind of physical fitness in spite of suffering from Fibromyalgia and CFS for many years. I do not have much energy and experience the recurring pains of Fibromyalgia but he is endlessly patient and caring and if I am only up for massage that is what he gives me. ! He is convinced I am fit enough to ski next month. ...... We shall see !
Fantastic place/facilities to train. I have been training with Kasia once a week for over two years. Kasia created a personal programme to strengthen my back and increase my core stability. I have not had any back problems for nearly one year now. Kasia has also helped with the odd netball injury incurred and her knowledge is incredible. I look forward to my weekly sessions and would highly recommend.
A very smart studio with the latest equipment. Peter and his team give you the best of personal training. Very good value for money - and one of the few places where they help with a no nonsense, comprehensible plan of attack on the food and drink front. I dropped a few sizes very quickly. Peter focusses on all round mobility, posture and fat loss as well as the muscle build that suits you. The effort is so worth the reward as the results start to come through very quickly with supreme energy levels and focus as well as the body you want. Love it, thanks Peter!
