What Joe lacks in head hair he makes up for in expertise and enthusiasm. I signed up for three months during paternity leave, aiming to fight back against two kids under 4 who were intent on destroying my body. Joe designed a strength-based programme that has helped me put on muscle for the first time in my life. The accompanying recipe pack is easy to follow and not repetitive. Most important of all, Joe is a lovely guy with broad interests (from bluegrass to geopolitics!) - essential when you’re spending a few hours a week with someone. Highly recommended.

I found Joe through other people’s reviews, so I’m really pleased to add another from a very satisfied customer. Joe is knowledgeable, personable and a great teacher. I had already done some work on my body to get it stronger and slimmer, but needed support to develop more strength and confidence in lifting heavier. Working both on Zoom and in person Joe has been an excellent trainer. He has been able to design and continually adapt a training program to both push me and work around the physical limitations of having Parkinsons disease. I'm so glad I found Joe! He is very professional, friendly (easy to talk to) and he really listens (I'm Brazilian, so he has to make an effort :P) to you to find out what your goals are, what you are going through in life to always adapt the training to your needs. I was looking for a pt to train one-to-one because I was struggling to start exercising again (on my own) and get back into shape. Well, I still have a "long road to run"... But Joe is always motivating me to stick with the exercise program and the diet. I trained with Joe for three months three times a week whilst home from working abroad for a few months. I've worked with other trainers before and Joe was easily the best, balancing pushing me hard and making the sessions enjoyable perfectly. I went from 66kg to 71kg and dropped from 10% to 9% bodyfat, surpassing my goals for the training. Joe also made a training plan for me now that I'm away again which is really helping me keep my fitness at the level I want. Have been working with Joe for a few years now and he has worked wonders on my fitness levels which are leaps ahead of where we started. I have neen trying different PTs in the past 10 years but I never felt so motivated and happy everytime I train with Joe. Every session is different and I clearly can see results on my body. I have been training with him for 2 months from Italy and this is the first time I have managed not to put any weight during my holiday, but I lost 2 kilos.

Just wanted to update this since my last review as previously I had only been training with Joe for 6 weeks and it's now been 6 months!
Well, 6 months on I am 15lb lighter and toning up nicely. Joe is a great personal trainer and has given me the motivation I needed to ditch the 'Dad Bod' for good.
Joe's experience and knowledge is second to none and he mixes up my workouts outs and exercise routines so that every muscle group is targeted to achieve the best results. I'm enjoying it so much that I now put in an extra session on my own as I am growing in confidence (and size :-) and have even started playing weekly football again, something I haven't done for over 20 years!
My original goal was to lose weight but as I am now approaching my target weight my focus will switch to muscle growth and I look forward to Joe helping me on this journey for the foreseeable future.

I had joined the gym and wasn't seeing the right results and ended up feeling more self conscious! After hours of trawling through PTs in Brighton I cam across Joe... I liked his clear advice and guidance straight away from the website, and once I saw some of the testimonials and before/after pics I was really keen in meeting with him. The consultation was great, he made me feel really at ease - and with a Wedding less than 8 months away we had a clear goal to work towards. So far I have been training with Joe for 7 months, the results are great - I am toned, I have great muscle definition, more strength and my overall energy has improved! My wedding is in 2 weeks and I am feeling really great about it! Joe gives exercises to complete at home, and always gives nutritional advice to help with achieving your overall goal! Honestly, if you're looking for a personal trainer, look no further. Joe is brilliant! Not only does he create amazing workouts specifically for your needs, he also makes you feel 100% comfortable whilst doing them.
I was going to the gym and just not getting the results I wanted, so I decided to look into going to personal training. Since working with Joe, I feel so much stronger both physically and mentally. I also have so much more confidence in trying new things in my workouts and pushing myself to go that bit further.

I have been seeing Joe for a couple of years now, when I started my fitness level was pretty low and my health was/is not great. I broke my Achillies last year in a group gym class, suffered a DVT and embolism and then we went into lockdown!! All physio stopped. I have been seeing Joe for 1 on 1 PT sessions for the last 2 years to help me deal with fitness related midlife crisis issues as I hit 40 and beyond... I work from home and struggle to fit in exercise around work and family commitments so having Joe as a PT has helped maintain a consistent level of varied and focused exercise as part of my routine and I feel much better for it. As a dancer, I have the flexibility but wanted to strengthen my joints
more, and this has been achieved surprisingly fast, with Joes help. I also
have more defined muscle tone which is an added bonus and overall my bodyfeels so much stronger. Joe is always encouraging and supportive while pushing me to the max.
He has a friendly, laid back personality - but don’t let that fool you, he will keep you focussed and on track! He has definitely been the push that I needed to stick with it.
I’ve learned that without his initial assessment of exercises needed and his ongoing guidance I would likely be doing the wrong type of exercises and to top it all in the wrong way! Joe is also knowledgeable about a wide range of health and wellbeing issues and is happy to share information and offer appropriate advice – makes sessions interesting and enjoyable, so an hour of hard work, can often fly by.
The gym itself is great – well kitted out and professionally managed, along with a friendly, chilled atmosphere. It’s really good working out there with people from a range of backgrounds, ages and levels of fitness or rehabilitation. All in all, my experience of training with Joe has been excellent - inspiring, motivating and results driven.

Before I met Joe, I've been doing weight lifting by myself. But I do struggle with some good training timetable for improving my muscle and shapes. After traing with Joe over a month, I find out that I improve a lot not only my body shapes and also stronger than I used to be. I have been working with Joe for a few years now , originally I joined Joe's outdoor bootcamp a very unfit lady in her 40's ! I am so much fitter now and this is all down to Joe. He is very professional and experienced but makes the work out fun too. I would never push myself as much as I do when I with Joe. I have had numerous injuries over the past few years and he always tailors the routines around these. I also attend a session on a Sat with my partner and so I would recommend for both individual or couples sessions.

I started my training my Joe about 2 month ago , I could see the improvement during the fist two weeks (my fitness level definitely got higher ). I always look forward to train with him , as he knows how to push me through my limits but also advise me about my dieting and my self trainings and most importantly encourage me and he keeps me motivated.
