I'm a new client of Jo's at Personal Space and I absolutely love it so far. Personal Space is a special place to train because it's small and naturally breeds a community vibe. Jo is an expert and joy to train with. I was really relieved that she didn't push appearance/weight based goals and instead worked to set out a plan that was tailored to me. During our sessions she explains everything in detail, gives me useful ques, and encourages me. I'm very appreciative I've found a good fit and would definitely recommend Jo, and Personal Space to anyone who wants to take their training up a notch.

Really great atmosphere at Personal Space, welcome and very friendly. I find it hard to get myself motivated for my own workouts, but Nicole really helps get me fired up. She is fantastic, I enjoy weightlifting with her, she makes it super fun, as well as challenging. 5 stars!!!

I put off personal training sessions for so long as I didn’t want to go to a big gym with loads of people watching me . So I searched for ages and finally find personal space. It works perfect for me and my trainer Keeley is so lovely and patient with me. All the trainers I have seen during my sessions seem lovely also. I would 100% recommend using these guys.

Nicole & Jorge are highly qualified trainers with tons of experience in helping people in so many ways. I have been training with Jorge over the last three months, online. Initially I was hesitant as I didn't think I'd be able to stick to the schedule and hadn't tried anything like this before. How wrong I was. Jorge has been exceptional at creating a workout program for me to follow based on what I enjoy doing in the gym and am lifting heavier and at a much faster pace than on my own. Being able to check in with Jorge at the end of the week to monitor my progress has helped keep me motivated as I had always struggled on my own in the past. I feel healthier, stronger and am actually looking forward to my gym sessions now. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about personal training without the high cost of in-person training!

Lisa at Personal Training was a great inspiration, coach and mentor. Sessions were affordable and completely tailored around my health goals. Each week variety was included in the sessions which meant I never felt we were repeating things, and I learnt a load of new exercises and approaches that I could use in my training at home. The gym itself was well equipped and I also really enjoyed the opportunities to exercise outdoors too which taught me how I could use my local surroundings as my own personal gym without needing to buy tonnes of kit. I highly recommend Lisa and Stuart at Personal Space for anyone looking for a personal trainer, whatever level of fitness you are at. I was a complete beginner, Lisa charted my progress weekly, and I was really surprised at how quickly I progressed across a range of exercises.

I have been coached by the staff at personal space for a while now and they’re absolutely amazing! They’ve always made sure to make the most suitable training plans for me (with special attention to my knee and back injuries). The space is very clean and safe (and I love the dog too) very cosy and welcoming. I also travel often so I sometimes do some of my training online, which they have also managed to adapt and still deliver with the same level of quality and professionalism as in person!

I have been coming to Personal Space studio for about three years. I find the atmosphere very friendly, and I've really enjoyed every session I've had (usually once a week). I am much stronger now, and I've just run my first 10k event, so I'm very pleased with my steady progress. I like the fact that there's usually only me in there, and never more than one other client, so there's lots of space to work with. My trainer is fantastic - just the right mix of support and getting me out of my comfort zone. Niall ( aged 51! )

How can you look forward so much to a hard hour of training? Well I do after having worked with Stuart for the past 3/4 years. He is a true professional, varies our sessions to make them interesting, works me much harder that I do myself when I am on my own in the gym, and is a good guy too! So I go home feeling that I have exercised well and enjoyed myself. An excellent compact set up, with individual focused attention, and well worth a regular visit.

I have been training here for several years and can thoroughly recommend Personal Space and its trainers. The gym is a really conveniently-located shopfront with parking outside. There is plenty of room to move about and a shower and changing area downstairs.
Bookings are organised so that there are never any issues with crowding; I have never seen more than one other person doing training with a different trainer while I have been there. The gym equipment is good quality and well maintained. I particularly appreciate that all of the cardio equipment is of superior quality and seems to avoid jarring to knees and ankles.
Personal Space's most significant asset, however, is in its training staff. Patient, experienced and empathic: able to challenge kindly and push clients when necessary, but also sensitive enough to know when not to. They include a stretching service as standard and are very able to adapt a training program around any injuries or issues that have cropped up. I am happy to give this business a whole-hearted five stars.

I've been seeing Stu for several years now, and he's always able to work with you to tailor a programme to whatever you want to achieve; fitness, weight loss or preparation for skiing, for instance. He manages to inject the right amount of challenge and variety, and cater for whatever state you arrive in from whatever else you've been doing, and I always leave feeling better than when I arrive. The atmosphere and all the trainers are friendly, and there's no need to feel you have to get into shape before you can be seen there!

After pulling muscle in my lower back few years ago I need to keep it supple, so that it doesn't go again. Lisa's sports massage is brillant at keeping this at bay. She will go through a questionnaire with you at the beginning. Very professional and knowledgeable and in her field! Would recommend!

We do a mixture of Pilates and aerobic exercise on the equipment in the gym and the sessions are really fun. I couldn't recommend Lisa more highly!

I can't recommend training with Stu highly enough. He really enabled me to turn my life around when I was feeling unmotivated and not happy with my body. I had met with several personal trainers at the time as I was looking for the right sort of trainer: I wanted someone real - not a fitness robot who told me not to eat any carbs or enjoy life at all! I wanted someone who wasn't pushy and who would set realistic goals for me - and that, Stu did. I cannot recommend Personal Space (and Stu in particular) more. I hate exercising; but Stu always gets me working hard, and more than that he is now a good friend. The studio is perfectly formed and has everything you could want for an excellent work out (and some machines to might wish they didn't have). The rates are incredibly reasonable, and Stu us always very flexible when it comes to fitting sessions in around busy lives. Give them a try tomorrow!

I needed to tone up and Improve my mobility, I had a frozen shoulder and was not very flexible due to having years of sitting down jobs, I started seeing Nicole and within 3 weeks I had regained about 80 % of movement in my shoulder and freedom from my severe pain, it was amazing, I had asked my doctor for physio but was told that they don't do physio on shoulder problems due to the pain it caused, Nicole got me doing some very easy and targeted exercises, Nicole is highly trained and it shows, it was so amazing to use my arm again after years of pain, she also showed me exercises that I could do at home or work for my whole body, I can highly recommend personal space.

Love coming to personal space. I feel comfortable and relaxed and not intimidated like some larger gyms can make you feel.
