Anthony is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He always takes the time to explain each workout and correct posture. He puts a lot of thought and effort into varying workouts every time I come and this really shines through. I have learnt a great deal from him and he ensures that the workouts are challenging but at a pace that is suitable for me. I have definitely seen a really good improvement in my physique since working with him. He is also down to earth and not at all intimidating which means I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a Personal Trainer.

I've been training with Anthony for about 5 years now. Started off as improving my general fitness and recovery for a shoulder injury. Over time that's changed to include strength, endurance and mobility training. He's helped me with my confidence to take on challenges and activities I wouldn't have thought I could do. I'd have never attempted a 5km run previously, but with encouragement, support and a plan to help me build on my progress each week, I did it. The same goes for strength training and other exercises; targets to work towards, advice on technique/form and alternatives should my pre-existing injuries cause issues, flexible plans to help me get the best out of every session. Overall I'm fitter, stronger, happier and more confident - in no small part due to Ant's patience and dedication to helping people improve. I'd happily recommend him and his business to people.

I can't recommend Anthony enough. He has helped me to progress my training in a multitude of ways. Like most, I started in the gym to get fitter and lose a little excess weight and before I started training with Anthony I was making small inroads. Once I began the program he created for me and followed his nutritional advice I shed more weight than my original modist goal in a very short period of time due to its effectiveness. From then on Anthony has proved he has an expansive, in depth knowledge and a passion for what he does and is able to answer or explain anything I throw at him in an easy to understand and non patronising way.
Whether you are looking for that little bit of help and guidance as a beginner or you have been training for years and want to progress past that annoying plateau and continue to improve your strength and/or fitness for personal or competitive reasons Anthony will definitely be able to help you exceed your own goals and expectations.

Anthony has helped me many times over the last six years in achieving multiple different goals - initially he helped me to lose weight and get in shape then he coached me through multiple powerlifting competitions. More recently he has written and adapted programmes to allow me to continue exercising throughout pregnancy and regain my strength and fitness afterwards. He has always been supportive, flexible and motivating and my love of fitness is solely down to him. Who would have thought an overweight girl who had always hated sports and was terrible at them could turn into a competitive athlete with the right coaching and direction? I have been working with Anthony for several months now, in 1-to-1 PT sessions. My goals were weight-loss and general health, in an attempt to eventually feel comfortable in my own body.
Anthony has been incredible in enabling me to make these changes. He is supportive, knowledgeable, patient, and rigorous. I have had personal trainers before, but I have never been able to make the progress I am currently seeing. My weight-loss is steady and healthy, I am feeling fitter and stronger, and I feel more confident going to the gym alone, because I have been given the right guidance. Anthony first approached me in January2019, we had a chat and he invited me to a trial session with him.
It’s now November 2019, I’m just over 10kg lighter. My top goal was weight loss, but that’s not the only progress I’ve had. It’s the fact that I’m generally feeling better about myself. My body feels stronger, and fitter too.
I’m able to lift heavier weights than I have before, and for more reps, and I’m getting more comfortable with running on the treadmill for longer periods of time.
Anthony has worked with me to manage my diet, reduce my average weekly calorie intake and choose better quality foods. Its the consistency of several weeks, and now months, that a combination of the workouts prepared for me by Anthony, along with my knowledge of my diet that has allowed me to make progress.
I had struggled before to make any real progress in the gym, by now I’ve got the support and motivation from Anthony, I’m starting to see results.
Now I’m looking forward to pushing through the next barrier and achieving my next weight loss and fitness improvement goal!

I really like that Spalding Strength's social media posts focus on improving, not just being perfect; and he shows different ways of doing exercises while you're building up your strength. As a PT, he is professional, yet approachable and I am feeling more comfortable in my body since becoming a client :)
