I first started training with Ralph about four years ago. I was looking for something new to build strength and complement my running and cycling. In my late 40s then I wanted to find something I could keep training at easily into the future. Kettle bell training proved to be just the answer. I love the simplicity and logic. Ralph starts you off at your level and gradually builds up your technique and skill level. Surprisingly quickly you will feel the benefit of much greater flexibility and strength in your normal daily life. I can't recommend Ralph and his classes highly enough. The classes are essential to learn the right form to start with, then fun to continue with even when you've got your own KBs at home. It sure worked for me.

I've been going to Ralph's kettlebell class for about three years now and would highly recommend giving it a go. Ralph teaches you how to use the kettlebell safely and he will push you to improve and increase your fitness. I have never been stronger and have steadily gone up the weights. Big thumbs up!!

I started doing kettlebell training with Ralph 3 months ago and absolutely love it. I didn't know much about kettlebells before starting (beyond the occasional bootcamp circuit) but have found it to be a really interesting discipline... somewhere between weight-training and yoga. I find it both physically and mentally challenging, and love that it's practiced barefoot! It's easily tailored to fit individual practice and fitness levels. When I started, I was one year postpartum but felt no pressure to push myself beyond my own comfort level. Ralph is very thoughtful and encouraging. As a busy mom, I appreciated that he is flexible and doesn't require block bookings!

Ralph has been giving me nutritional advice since March. I had been struggling with fatigue for some time, and suspected that my poor diet was the culprit as I have always been a picky eater. It's been six months now and Ralph has helped me break my bad food habits and ease myself into a healthier and more balanced way of eating. His years of experience as a chef mean that he's also been able to suggest recipes to me, and his technique for cooking green beans in particular has been a game changer as I hated them with a passion before and now can't get enough of them!
I also attend Ralph's weekly kettlebell classes, and would recommend them to anyone. I started as a complete beginner and have noticed a marked increase in strength and flexibility. I recently bought my own kettlebell to practice with at home, but still find it helpful to go to classes so that I can continue to improve my form, and learn new exercises.

I have been attending kettle bells with Ralph for some months now and find him to be a very good teacher. Ralph is able to guide me at a pace I'm comfortable with while gently progressing each week. I value his attention to technique and posture and continue to improve. I was daunted by attending a class and have found it to be a positive experience. Thanks Ralph!

Ralph's trained with the best at Strongfirst - he knows his stuff. Having drunk from the fountain of Russian strength knowledge, Ralph has channelled this knowledge to me, step by step, breaking it down and using helpful metaphors ("like youre holding a coin between your armpits!") at times to help me understand the subtle nuances of kettlebell training and deepen my understanding of the philosophy behind the methods taught at Strongfirst. I am ever so glad I decided to start taking his classes. I always feel fresh training this way. He's got a good sense of humour too :)

As a man who can barely do a forward roll Ralph has shown great patience and skill in sculpting a competent kettlebell user out of me. I've attended his class for a few years now and it has taken me to a new level of both fitness and stregnth. Teamed with his vast dietary expertise he is an all round great teacher and a good guy to boot. Highly recommended!
