Great training provider for International Mountain Leader courses. The recently built accomodation overlooking the grounds is very comfortable. Food and the bar are first class and the location is unmatched. Staff are professional.

Excellent teaching , great B&B good food. The avalanche course for back country skiing was very very good. recommend it to anyone who is ski touring or free riding.

Stayed here for two courses. The lodge is equipped with everything you need for the courses, the food was amazing and fresh and the showers were powerful after a hard day out in the mountain.

Hired a guide to take me for a days winter walking with a bit of navvie and scrambling.Annie was fantastic! Made it a fun walk and outlined dangers which can be faced ..luckily great weather with plenty of snow...A very relaxed atmosphere with a great breakfast..All staff helpful and polite

I don't know if it's changed, but it's a few years since last time, the facilities were excellent, the instructors were brilliant, one day's walk in white out conditions, he took us to trig point by pacing, my glasses had frozen up,was holding the person in fronts kagool, gave me confidence in the years ahead of the skills they taught.

Great location within the forest, unique facilities and warm atmosphere! The restaurant serves good-quality local food options, both for meat-lovers, vegetarians and vegans in a relaxed environment with fireplace! Highly recommended!

I thought Glenmore lodge was fantastic. The accommodation, food, facilities and staff were great. I have just been on a two day Intermediate white water kayaking course. The coaching has given me so many ideas and goals, from why I paddle, to where and what grade of river I want to paddle. It's been a real eye opener. I would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks once again Doug for the coaching. 🙂

Amazing. Did the ice climbing lead course. Fantastic accomodation and facilities. Lectures in the evenings, nice rooms. Great staff in particular Tom our instructor. Food was superb. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. My only critisism would be that my bedsheet was a little small for the bed and came off easily and had to be remade a couple of times... The other bed in our room had a bigger sheet. Everything else was more or less perfect. Helped that we had perfect weather too.

Recently did the winter skills course. It was absolutely superb. Kev, our instructor was brilliant and extremely knowledgable about the local area. The accommodation surpassed my expectations - the room was hotel quality with en-suite bathroom. The food is delicious and plentiful. The equipment we borrowed was high quality and in great condition. Friendly staff and cosy bar. Just can't fault it at all!

We had such a great time on our mountaineering course. Instructors (Karl and Andy) were knowledgeable and adapted to our needs and experience. The lodge has a gym/climbing wall if you want to exercise in the evening. You can rent almost any equipment (from hardshells to gaiters etc). Lots of yummy food and everything just feels very well thought-out. Lectures in the eve by Tom were also hugely useful!

Glenmore Lodge is an outstanding venue. I've attended various courses there over the years - the facilities are great - instruction and instructors are second to none - food and accommodation are excellent . Get a Massage from Kirsty - rounds your day off nicely to have your aches and pains seen to.

Great for B&B on our touring motorbike as there's a drying room for any wet gear! Relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff, excellent quality bar food (additions to menu!) and great selection of real ales & whiskies. Love the surrounding forest walks on the doorstep too. Hubby has also previously enjoyed winter mountaineering courses here.

Absolutely outstanding. Courses are excellent - professional and top quality instruction and equipment provided. Great value for money. Accomodation is really clean and comfortable. Don't limit your visits to a course though. If you're in the area the bar and resaurant are great places to stop for refreshment - good beer and great food

World class instructors, friendly and eager staff, good food and great facilities. The only way it could have gotten any better is if I extended my trip. Looking forward to getting stuck in to one of their ice climbing courses in the future.
