On my first meeting with Matt, I was very sceptical of the full process. I felt I was up against it due to my age and weight. I explained to Matt exactly what I wanted to achieve. Matt made me feel confident enough and insisted that what I wanted was achievable.
I had no consistent experience or any knowledge about exercise. I never even felt comfortable going to a gym. I really didn’t know much info on food and I lived on takeaways for a long period of time.
Fast forward a few months and I now find myself unconsciously eating better and moving more everyday. What I have lost in weight, I have gained in confidence and strength. I have found myself to have more energy to run around with a 4 year old and can keep up with a teenager. I know I wouldn’t have been able to do this without matts help.
Matt Genuinely helps people regarding all aspects of training and would highly recommend him.

Before working with Matt, I had felt like I had hit a wall with my progress. I had tried countless home workout videos on Youtube to shed my pregnancy weight and felt like I was getting nowhere. I thought I was doing enough diet and exercise wise, so I couldn't understand why I was seeing no progress! It had really started to affect my confidence, especially not being able to fit into any of my old clothes!
My Husband could see my struggle and suggested I work with Matt (who he had already been working with for a few months) to see if I could kickstart my weight loss again. I was a little reluctant as I had never worked with a PT before, and I didn't feel like i would be able to gain much from an online program.
I was so wrong! Matt took so much time to understand my needs and what I wanted to gain from working with him. He tailored my workouts, and was able to advise me on how to change my diet to get to where I wanted to be. Matt also helped me gain a better relationship with my food.
I saw results a lot faster than I expected, and less than 2 months in I was finally able to wear my old jeans! Such a small thing but was such an achievement for me. I had been trying for nearly 9 months to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and it wasn't until I started working with Matt that I finally achieved that.
Matt is always on hand for advice and support, and our weekly check ins were great for setting achievable goals. I knew I could message him if I had any problem or question. I honestly couldn't recommend him enough!

I honestly don't believe I can put across in a single review just how fantastic Matt is as a PT!
I've always had difficulties with my own mental health and my appearance. I'd never stepped foot in a gym and had no idea where to start. Even from the initial consultation which was way out of my own comfort zone matt made me feel so comfortable. I thought he'd put me on a workout/diet plan and that was it. I couldn't of been more wrong! Matt takes a holistic approach and teaches you how to identify what your own strengths and weaknesses are. He shows you the power of accountability and how to really be the best version of yourself. He makes such a huge difference both in the gym and outside the gym in your daily life.
I've never felt so in control of my health goals and who I am as a person. Matt is so much more than "just a PT". He's got me into the gym, he's allowed me to improve my own self confidence and so much more. Matt lives for helping people and it shows in the results he can produce. I couldn't be more grateful for how much he's helped me.
If anyone is unsure of using a PT or unsure about how they can start their own self care journey then id suggest matt all day long. Even try the initial consultation. You won't regret it!

I was conscious about working with PT at first due to many previous experiences else where.
The common theme, is that other Personal trainers that I have worked with in the past, have cookie cutter approach, treating everyone in the same way, some follow bro science.
Matt bucks the trend, he builds a relationship to truly understand goals and intentions. Matt works with you on every level, from habits, to mindsets, in establishing appropriate behaviour to achieve goals.
I was cautious about expense at first, after a while working with Matt, I new it was value I wanted. Someone to be there to support and challenge at ever level to make me become my best self.

Having never worked with a PT and having next-to-no confidence at the gym, I was anxious when I signed up with Matt and, truth be told, I half expected it to be a waste of time and money.
But I was completely wrong.
There's no denying that Matt is an expert in his field and his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering support have been crucial in getting me closer to my goals than I ever thought I would be. Also - he doesn't just focus on physical strength and has gone above and beyond to help me form better habits when it comes to sleep and nutrition (he's also got a few decent recipes up his sleeve!).
Don't expect Matt to shout at you while you struggle to do push-ups. Instead, expect genuine rapport as he helps you to overcome your own obstacles. I couldn't recommend Matt enough.

I want to tell everyone about how working with Matt has been of benefit; believe me, it really has.
I always considered myself pretty fit and healthy, I could run, cycle, lift and eat what I wanted. That's what I thought anyway. I saw a photo of myself and confronted the difficult truth, it was a long time ago I could do all of these things.
I contacted Matt and asked for advice, a big step because surely we all know how to do this?! Matt's friendly, positive attitude was welcoming and understanding.
Im the months we have been working together the biggest and most positive change Matt has helped me with is my mindset. For a long time I was held back by all or nothing thinking in diet, exercise and concept of success or failure.
Even when I've had difficulties Matt has guided me back to a more positive path without judgement.

I have to say I did have a lot of reservations with PT's - I would see them in the gym barely watching while someone used a machine and they would be typing something away in the iPad and have a look of no interest whatsoever. Training with Matt is nothing like that!
Matt is always looking to help you, whether its in a session or over the phone. he's always there for you.
I had never worked with a PT before and wasn't quite sure what to expect but he's really helped me with my knee injury. I was having a lot of pain doing certain exercises and Matt helped in so many ways. He helped identify weaknesses in other parts of my body and gave me ways to improve them. I'm only 4 months into our journey but I can feel a massive improvement in my knee and a lot of that is down to Matt.
One of the things I like about training with Matt is the variety of exercises/stretches he has in his locker. There are so many different aspects of training in my sessions ranging from yoga, resistance training, cardio, plyometric exercises and more. It makes every session different and he's open to your suggestions and not set in his ways. This allows you to do more of what you want to do, so you have fun doing it. I'm going to ask how to do a handstand in my next session!
Working with Matt the past few months have given me a real sense of drive and motivation to hit my goals and I'm sure he can do the same for you. If you are thinking of doing it then i would recommend you give him a shot as he has definitely helped me a lot.

I contacted Matt after 2 months of lockdown. I was started to put on weight and was in a bad place mentally to kick-start exercise. He helped enormously. He put me on the 12 week programme that involved one-to-one sessions in Glasgow Green, Kelvingrove Park and the city centre gym. I went from couch to 5k in 31 mins (still aiming for 30) in 10 weeks, lost weight and gained even more muscle. I've gone to bodypump and stretch and flex gym classes this week that I've never been to before and feel in far better shape both physically.
Matt got me in the right zone mentally and from being a periodic exerciser I'm not doing it almost every day. Working with Matt will help you in many ways - physical, mental, diet, exercise routines etc.
I wasn't sure if a PT was for me but it was just the kick-start I needed. Matt's well qualified and experienced and will tailor a programme for YOU. I'm not the fittest or slimmest - Matt's sessions were not easy but they were tailored in the right way and built up over the 12 week period.
Overall I have no hesitation in recommending Matt to you. Great PT and all round good guy.

I was a little nervous before starting a PT session with Matt as previsouly I've never succeeded or stuck to it. But after my first session with Matt I knew that I was in it for the long hall.

Matt was phenomenal in building up my confidence, improving my eating habits, increasing my hydration, improved my mobility and helping me become a healthier person. He even supported me as I changed diets to become vegetarian.
I was cautious at first as I worried most of his clients where male and wondered how he would be working with women. I had nothing to worry about as he was exceptional. He treated me just as capable as any man with the same fitness but recognised challenges faced through body differences and gym culture. He made sure to push me while making me feel safe, was respectful when he recognised my worried around gyms and found alternatives for exercises when needed.
Though his work I feel so much more able and I have skills now that Is supporting me on my journey with fitness.
I have reccomended him to family and friends with no hesitation as he was such a supportive PT that have given me skills for life.

My name is Nikolay and I consider myself a fitness enthusiast.
Truth be told, with the amount of work that I have put in the gym, with the proper discipline I could have reached a fitness level I would have never thought possible.
That is, until I met Matt. I answered to an Instagram post and that was the best fitness decision that I ever made. I have worked with PTs before and honestly until I started working out with Matt I thought and felt that it was a waste of money.
I could never get in the shape that I was after simply because I was lacking the proper support and guidance and every PT claimed to know what works best. It turned out they were right – we worked on what was best for them or in general, not custom made programs.
I started to doubt myself a while ago and it was not a good feeling. Getting up every morning at 5am, working out 5 days a week with little to show – I became the rounded, bulkier version of what I really wanted to do. I wouldn’t quit but motivation to push harder and further was absent.
I can honestly say that thanks to Matt I found the key to success or at least he showed me and worked with me through it and never let me give up.
I reached a level which my mind was preventing me from reaching simply because I had support – not with the weights or the reps, with making me believe that I can do that.
He is always honest and clear in his directions and most of all, he is open-minded. He listens what you want and how you feel, he does not tell you how is to be done because this or that method works for most people. The personal touch is what I like the most and I appreciate the fact that my voice was heard and my opinion taken into consideration.
Working with Matt or working under his guidance has taught me a very important element that I was lacking – self-discipline and accountability. In the past I found it okay to turn away from the good path and look for and find fine excuses to either indulge a lot more often that I should or just resolve to comfort food for various reasons.
Having a plan to follow and having someone else that I had accountability towards made me stop – if I was at peace letting myself down with my behaviour, there was just no way that I will betray the trust that Matt showed in me by agreeing to work with me.
If you really, and I mean really, want to make a positive change in your life and achieve your fitness and lifestyle goals then look no further that Matt, you will not regret it, I am a rather good example for what can be done and can be achieved.

I’ve made more significant progress working with Matt over the time we’ve been working together than I think I could have achieved on my own, or with other PT’s. It’s been far more productive for me than anything else I’ve tried in the past.
While my strength and fitness have improved as well as how I see myself physically, I feel I’ve also overcome mental barriers in my training while working with him.
In the past, my goals almost seemed unachievable and I was overcome by demotivation. Now I can finally see myself reaching towards them.
I found Matt to be more approachable, more thorough and considerate in his approach than my previous experience with PTs. He helped me in understanding my goals in a broader sense which has enabled me to identify areas of my lifestyle which could be improved to achieve my goals while helping me to gain a clearer perspective on what might be holding me back.
