I’ve been working with Strength Coach Glasgow for nearly a year and have seen huge progression in my strength training. Allan has the ability to build a program that works on your technical and fitness foundations, before developing a diverse structure that incorporates a variety of Olympic lifts.
Allan will push you to your limits in coaching sessions but never beyond the realm of safety. It’s worth noting as well that there is no ego with Allan. What you see is what you get.
Whatever your sporting or fitness goals, I highly recommend you work with Strength Coach Glasgow!

I've been training with Allan for the last few months and can honestly say it's been excellent. Not only have all of my lifts increased across the board, but my confidence with more technical movements has improved too. Allan's knowledge of movement, specifically Olympic Lifting, is brilliant.
He's a great programmer too, putting in time to get to know my goals and current levels, to ensure what I'm doing in each session is on point and pushing me in the right direction.
He's also honest and super passionate about fitness. I've had a lot of different coaches in the past and if there's one thing that seperates the really excellent ones, it's honesty and passion. You can't beat it.

I started training with Allan around 6 months ago after attending a couple of his specialised workshops - I found these very helpful straight away for improving my technique in the lifts covered in these workshops. I had started to learn a little Olympic lifting last year and was looking to get back into it, so after attending these workshops, I was confident Allan was going to be a great coach for me.
Since then I have improved both my snatch and clean & jerk technique and find both lifts a lot easier to execute than I did before (which I am amazed at as I always thought I was pretty rubbish at them!) Allan’s tips and tweaks in my technique has also given me the confidence to train these lifts on my own, which I was always scared to do before!
Allan’s Strength Coach Glasgow app is also awesome for tracking your progress and motivating you to do better than you did the week before and it’s great to always have a plan when you walk into the gym to do your session (something I always struggled to make up on my own!)
From all of this, I even gained the confidence to compete in my first ever competition in November, at the Scottish Open, and was totally stoked with my results - I PBd my clean & jerk and gained a new total overall! Without Allan and his great coaching, I wouldn’t have the confidence and knowledge I have now and certainly wouldn’t have ever competed - so thank you Allan for being an awesome coach, for always being encouraging and for believing in me 🤗

Allan has been fantastic in helping me return the gym for the first time in over 10 years. his technique and lifting knowledge, comprehensive gym session plans and personable attitude have made the return easy and enjoyable. Allan is a great weight lifting coach! He has taught me from the basics of how to squat and deadlift to now lifting more than my body weight. For the last 6 months he has developed a training program for me and keeps updating it as my goals change. I have lost inches and I am much stronger now!
He is a great coach because he taught me how to weight lift on my own so that I don't always need his assistance. I can decide how often and when I need personal training sessions based on my own workouts.
Even though I am female, Allan has always enocouraged me by saying that I can lift as much as a male can!

I have to admit, I was always skeptical about training with a PT. I never thought it would be any different to training myself but I definitely retract that opinion now. Allan caters to each clients goals and I think that's what helped me most. He supported me to gain the confidence, that I previously never had, to go and work out in the weights area of the gym. It can be absolutely nerve-racking to work out when you're not entirely sure of what you're doing but Allan gave me the push to overcome those fears as well as the knowledge to actually train properly. I can honestly say I'm more confident and more competent with my training in the gym! Can't thank you enough Allan!

I’m approaching mid-50’s, I know, I don’t look it, ;-)
I am self-employed running a busy, wealth management and financial advisory business and can easily sit in my chair for 10 hours at a time, and this has been the case for years.
This, clearly, was only going to have ONE outcome and not a good one.
So, in April/May of 2018 I started looking around to find a PT.
Friends recommended their PTs or Fitness Instructors and also, their Classes but I didn’t see anything about any of them that made them STAND OUT.
I found Allan via Instagram and started messaging him saying I felt humbled by his qualifications and was convinced I would be way below the standard of person or type of client he’d want to train.
I was wrong.
Since starting with Allan, I look better, I feel stronger, I have a stronger mind, I am writing more business than I have before, ever.
With his quiet but encouraging approach you are left with NO illusions that he really DOES care. He’s a professional. He’s a champion weightlifter. He trains OTHER personal trainers! That itself is the best review possible.
