I worked with Jonathan at Tain before
Moving house and I loved it. Jonathan really took the time to listen to the style of exercise I enjoyed most and in an amazing way pushed me to meet personal bests. It was nice for training to be about goals and mental well-being rather than just weight loss (although this also happened) . I can’t recommend these guys enough. The atmosphere is so friendly and encouraging especially if you are new to exercise. I wish I had not moved and can go back! Jonathan has taught me skills I take into my own workouts so it has very much all been worthwhile 👍

Fantastic gym, I was lucky enough to train with Jonathan, having had little to no experience in gyms and starting from the ground up really allowed me to ensure that each movement was being completed correctly as well as getting great advice on diet and training. Each session was fun with heaps of interesting conversations as well would recommend this team to new starters like myself or more experienced people looking to refine their techniques or for some more detailed guidance as the guys do it all.

After a knee op and then my general fitness taking a nosedive after rehab I decided to book in for some 1-2-1 sessions with Jonathan to see about getting me back to the level of fitness I was at pre-injury.
After the initial consultation he set out a fitness plan that, over a period of three months, was designed to get me back to a cardio level I was happy with as well as helping build up my overall strength.
The gym is set out well and fully equipped with all the fitness and training equipment you could need.
The sessions were varied and difficult (as expected) but set to a realistic level where I was always pushing my targets without them being unattainable.
At the end of the three months I could feel the benefits of the training and would say that it has definitely improved my overall fitness levels and worth the hard work.
Jonathan is very knowledgeable and was always friendly, positive and encouraging.
If you are looking to improve your fitness levels and need some 1-2-1 coaching then I would throughly recommend Jonathan at Train MBS.

An excellent wee local gym. The two PTs are very knowledgeable and experienced. They make workouts fun and adapted specifically to their clients. Train - Mind Body Soul is fantastic, I highly recommend them! I trained with Johnathan and learned so much. We took everything at my pace and Johnathan tailored workouts to my ability and goals. He pushed me to challenge myself and still managed to keep training fun! Following cancer surgery and a prolonged recovery I had developed weakness in my right hip. To make things even more complicated I also have a rotator cuff injury in my left shoulder. I knew I needed expert guidance to recover my strength without causing further injury.
Thanks to Johnathan I'm making progress safely, getting my strength and confidence back. It's a friendly environment to train in plus I'm learning a lot from Johnathan every week. The team are all very knowledgeable and supportive and they have created a very friendly and laid back gym environment. It took me a while to finally pluck up the courage to book a consultation with Train as I found gyms quite intimidating, however I am so glad I finally did. Craig and Johnny really know their stuff and they create a no judgement, supportive and fun environment. I always leave feeling like I've had a great workout as well as a great laugh and most importantly, I've had amazing results and I am totally unintimidated as a female by a
male dominated weights room in the gym.

Loved my experience with train mbs! started training at 16 and spent two years at the gym and only stopped because I moved to university. The gym improved my physical and mental well being massively and was always a pleasure to see the lads at the gym. There was always a great atmosphere to train in however you would have to put up with CJs sh*te jokes! Great lads who know their stuff inside out and looking forward to popping in for a catch up whenever I can.

Been training here over 3 years now and safe to say, working with the team has really changed my approach to fitness and health to being better, overall, and more sustainable from a long-term point of view.
Over the past 3 years I've built a very strong foundation to my fitness and general health. I'm 34 years old and easily in the best shape of my life - i can now do pull ups! :)
Working with Craig has been great; being able to find the right balance between pushing myself (and therefore forcing my body to adapt and improve) without over-stretching myself to the point where I wouldn't be able to sustain the level of intensity or eating plans.
There is always a generally friendly atmosphere as well; the entire team are welcoming and guys seem to work with good clients where it feels like everyone is down to earth and keen to improve. Unfortunately, and this is my only gripe, the jokes can be pretty horrendous - expect more than a few tumbleweed moments which, as I desperately try to put a positive spin on this specific point, can provide a welcome break after sets where you've fully exerted yourself. Only kidding, the jokes are ok and the training is second to none. If you're looking to improve your fitness and overall lifestyle in a sustainable way, then look no further - Tain Mind Body Soul is where it's at! :)
