Mikey has been my coach for the last 12 weeks. I can’t recommend him enough.
I have had a series of health issues and working with Mikey he’s enabled me to work at a pace that was challenging for me but was achievable. 12 weeks down the line I have made massive steps forward and I am totally confident in the skills and tools Mikey has given me, I feel this will help me in many areas of daily life. For example my strength has improved along side my nutritional intake.
Mikey listens and directs me at a level which is reassuring and he believes in little changes make big achievements.

I’ve just finished my first 12 week plan with Mikey. Before I started I hated how I looked and felt, my relationship with food and exercise was inconsistent and unhealthy, the gym was an intimidating place that I wouldn’t have dared step foot in! Mikey has helped me to build consistency with my approach to food and start to build exercise into my routine that works for me around a busy life with two children! He has been patiently helping me to build up my strength, and increasing my confidence in the gym! I have seen real results and looking forward to the next 12 weeks!

Mikey is a fantastic trainer, his knowledge and enthusiasm has been immense since my time working with him. He took the time to listen to me about what I wanted to improve upon and my limitations. He makes sure to tailor workouts according to my fitness goals, explains the benefits of the exercises we’re doing, and consistently shows me new exercises. He is a great motivator, both in the gym and through messages he sends.
Mikey has also helped me understand nutrition, he asked me to track what I was eating and then gave me feedback and then set me nutrient goals with the focus on me making healthy food choices .I am thrilled at the positive results, I now feel leaner, fitter and stronger than I have felt in years.

Mikey is a great coach,from the day I started he’s understood everything I want out of this he’s also made it easy enough for me to understand him which as made my his coaching and nutritional advice seem a breeze. Mikey has helped me so much physically ie just the little tweaks during training of slightly changing my posture do get the best out of my workout which then results in the change of my physique which I am so proud of! The mindset I have now to what I had 12 weeks ago is like I’m a new person again all down to mikey and his coaching! Me & Mikey worked together for 12 weeks. I learned a lot about dieting and training. My programme allowed me to train 5 days a week whilst also recovering well, allowing me to stay consistent. Working with Mikey has really been a game changer for me. In the 12 months since I finished phase 1 I have grown in confidence both in and out of the gym. I am happy to say that I don’t think I have ever felt as comfortable in my own skin as I do now and I can wear clothes I would never have considered as a younger person.
In terms of nutrition I have become more confident that I don’t need to obsessively weigh and measure everything to maintain my results. I recently decided to increase my calories with the objective of pursuing strength and muscle building goals, something I would previously have been too afraid to do for fear of sabotaging my weight loss.
Mikey has put together training programmes that have meant I have got leaner but also stronger and I have started hitting performance goals that I am really proud of. The programming has also helped strengthen a long term knee injury as well as being adaptable to other niggles I have picked up along the way. I now look forward to pushing more boundaries and learning more new skills over the coming months.

When I started Phase 1 I was fed up of feeling overweight and out of shape. I dreaded getting on the scales and certainly hated looking at photos of myself. Mike's structured approach really worked for me in that I knew what I had to do and when and Mike was great at holding me to account whilst giving me confidence that I could achieve my goals. Over the course of the weeks and as a result of our conversations I started to feel better about the number on the scales, just seeing it as only one measure of progress. I set out to lose 5kg as that was all i felt was achievable so am thrilled to have lost 10kg and could not have done it without Mikes support. I am happy to say I have more understanding of how to manage my nutrition so that i can live my life without jeopardising my progress but whilst still enjoying flexibility. I would highly recommend this process to anyone who is looking to take control and pursue their physique / fitness goals. I feel so much more confident in myself because of the weight loss and the recomposition. I am happy with what I see in the mirror and photos as a work in progress.

I have now been working with Mikey for just over 18 months, within this time my progression and confidence in all areas has grown massively.
Before approaching Mikey I had been a member of the gym for 12 months, and whilst I had changed over that time both mentally and physically, I still wasn't happy or where i wanted to be. Walking into a gym on my own was always hard, but starting a new gym was extremely daunting, Mikey has give me the skills to walk into any gym and feel confident in what im doing.
Healthy eating has never been a real issue for me, but with Mikey's expertise I now understand more about nutrition and why I need to eat certain foods and meals plus when to eat them to get maximum benefit. This has positively impacted on my energy, training and performance.
Around 12 months into coaching I was asked to increase my calorie intake, which we both knew would be a huge step for me, but with Mikey’s guidance and knowledge I have gained we saw a result of reduced body fat and I was visually looking leaner as well as progressing further with my training in the gym.
I have for the first time bought a dress in the size that I am and not a size up to hide any insecurities I have about my body, I feel comfortable in clothes which I haven't done for a very long time.
I’ve had huge improvements in the gym over the last few months, with lots of PBs, but the biggest improvement has been my confidence in certain areas that I nearly gave up on, but with Mikey’s patience and perseverance I am now on my way to achieving much more than I ever thought was possible.
It didn’t take Mikey long to work out the way I work, he knows I like to be challenged, I’m extremely competitive and isn’t scared to push me outside of my comfort zone. This phase of coaching has been very much about getting me ready for my next challenge of The Tough Mudder in July. I’m not the most natural runner but I have taken it all in my stride and achieved my first ever 10Km run, this has now enabled me to think about future challenges, these have been discussed with Mikey and I am really looking forward to working together to achieve something quite big for me in 2023.
Mikey understands that for me feeling fit & healthy is extremely important for my mental health. Achieving goals, setting new targets and being held accountable keeps me in check and motivated.

I approached Michael after I had gone as far as I could using my own research and creating my own training programs.
This was the best thing I’ve ever done as Michael reviewed my programs and discussed with me what
My short term and long term goals and aims were.
As Michael has developed his knowledge from his own training programs plus the research and educational training that he has completed, he was best placed to advise me and develop my training.
This included eating habits, training programs and using and maintaining the correct form.
I can say with all sincerity that I wish I had of started with Michael and The Body Engineer two years ago.
I wasn’t eating the right products, my Protein levels were poor, my hydration was poor, my training programs were okay, but training without using the right form is pointless and actually counterproductive as you end up injuring yourself more and not achieving what you set out to do.
I am now growing my physique on a regular basis but it’s done correctly and uniformly.
I would have absolutely no hesitation on recommending Michael and his business of The Body Engineer.

I decided to take the leap and challenge myself to a 12 week programme with Mikey after seeing all of the amazing progress pictures from his clients. From our first meeting and throughout the programme Mikey has listened, advised and challenged me. He’s taught me so much about nutrition and exercise; I’m finally at a place where I’m making better choices and putting myself first. The key thing for me has been having that accountability; knowing I had to be sending Mikey meal photos and logs of my runs, walks and food encouraged me to keep making the right decisions and push myself. With my busy work schedule I find it hard to train and eat clean but having my weekly PT session keeps me in check.
Mike has taught me how to improve my diet, and prepare healthy food without disrupting my work schedule and even when I only manage 1 PT with Mike every week, it’s stops me feeling as guilty and I have lost centre meters already and feel stronger.
I feel so much more energetic and alert when I eat healthier and train and I’m now at the point where family and friends are starting to comment and notice the changes. At no point have I starved myself and I would say that I still eat what I want I’m just more aware of what I’m eating.
I’m looking forward to next year, as I approach my wedding and will definitely be upping the sessions.

I enrolled with Mike for his 12 week programme after a lengthy discussion about my targets which were to try get back to my former fitness and physique by losing some weight and then eventually adding some definition. At this initial contact point I realised how committed Mike was to helping me achieve those targets but also requiring commitment from myself along the way.
The first stage of the process was Mike's 12 week plan which I've just completed. Mike supports every aspect from nutrition, daily targets and fitness programme's both at the gym and at home which do change as the plan progresses. My life has been extremely busy with work and family but he's always on hand to help and advise either personally or in the group chat of ways to help your progression.
I have now finished the 12 weeks and hit my targets, I have lost the weight I wanted to lose and I am now back at the weight I used to be. I'm now fitter, stronger and looking forward to the starting the second phase with Mike.

After making the decision to get my fitness back after retirement from rugby some 4 years ago and the inevitable middle age Spread (over Indulgence) I set out on the Journey in January 20 which included healthy eating and more exercise, training with Mikey in group classes and running had a great initial affect dropping from 17st 10 to 15st 8 but at this point I hit a wall and couldn’t get any further.
I then decided to join the Body engineer team and do a 12 week programme, the programme really helped with support on eating habits and calorie deficits , tailored workouts been planned and Mikey helping with encouragement and progress tracking of the weight loss strength improvement really started to progress.

I contacted The Body Engineer during lockdown as I was started to get lazy and eating all day whilst working from home! I signed up to a 12 week plan which gave me an eating plan, exercise plan, one to one sessions and an endless amounts of advice, tips and communication.
