Currently training with Mike
I wanted to start personal training to lose weight & actually feel better about myself. Within the 8 weeks that I’ve been training I’ve never felt better my weight is dropping every week I feel stronger, fitter and feel good about myself in clothes again.
Mike has me tracking my calories, getting my steps in & sets me training sessions to do in the gym on the days I don’t see him. He is always there checking in on you & is there if you are ever struggling. Helped me gain so much confidence, always believes in you & pushes you to the limit.

I’ve been training twice a week with Mike now for a year. I’m in my late fifties and have lower back issues and occasional shoulder problems.
Mike is conscious of my ailments at every session, always asking how I feel at the start of the session and throughout.
My whole body feels a lot stronger and on a recent skiing trip I did not feel any muscle fatigue, in either my legs or arms. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get up from a fall, which requires a lot of upper body and core strength!
Mike is also very happy to advise on nutrition and he suggested I use the My Fitness Pal which I found easy to use and lost just on a stone being mindful of my diet. (I haven’t used the app for a while now, but Mike doesn’t worry if I put the odd lb or so on.)
Very happy to have met Mike & really enjoy, not sure if that’s the correct word, my sessions & really happy with my results, which with a bit more determination on my part with my diet would be a lot better!!

I genuinely couldn’t recommend Mike highly enough to anybody considering a PT. As a 28 year old brand new to any kind of exercise I was really anxious about starting a fitness journey. 12 weeks later and I am lighter than I have been for 12 years but more importantly fitter than I have ever been and have learned skills that will enable me to maintain and continue either independently or continuing with Mike.
Mike focusses so much on consistent but safe improvement with a real emphasis on getting technique right. He puts you at ease straight away and is genuinely great company whilst working you hard and getting long lasting, sustainable results.
The gym is well equipped, always spotless and perfect for 1 on 1 sessions. I really can’t thank Mike enough for not only helping me physically but he’s genuinely supportedin shifting me to a healthier mindset and I now feel like a happier and much healthier version of myself. Great value for money.

Mike has been a great personal trainer for me. He has completely helped me to gain a great understanding of training techniques through a 1-2-1 training regime. He is very thorough and explains why and how everything is done, in a polite manner. His facilities are great and he is always only a text away if I am having any trouble with the nutritional or physical aspect to the course. You can see he is genuine and wants to help you achieve your goals.
I would certainly recommend him to my friends/family or anyone who is looking for a PT.

I am currently on week 5 of my 6 week challenge with Mike and can honestly say it's been amazing! Mike has supported me with not just my training sessions, but also my nutrition and any other questions or problems I have had - nothing has been too much to ask. The sessions have really pushed me, and have included a wide variety of exercises. I suffer with my back, and Mike has always ensured the exercises I am doing are safe, and changed anything when I have struggled. I feel so much stronger already, and a lot more confident making healthier lifestyle choices.
Mike has been a great coach. I have thoroughly enjoyed my sessions and I would really recommend him to anybody who is looking to get fitter in a comfortable and supportive environment!

When I heard that Mike was offering PT sessions I knew he was the right person to train me. I am doing a 6 week plan with Mike and he works me harder than I would ever train myself, he ensures that my technique is on form and keeps me honest with my nutrition (which is the key if you want to lose weight/body fat). He is a great guy, really friendly and has created a fantastic gym. Music is important for me when working out and he allows me to play what I want (good for me not sure it's as good for him).

Mike Stephens is an amazing, life changing PT.
He is incredibly knowledgable and meticulous - he tailors his clients’ programmes individually according to ability.
He monitors progress in relation to nutrition, stress and sleep - it isn’t just workouts.
He has a small immaculately clean, well equipped modern gym in Crosby to work in - ideal for training one person.
He has made my training programme really fun. He is super professional but also great company and genuinely kind, supportive and thoughtful. I like the fact you can work out to your own playlist.
He is an ex military guy, though - so don’t think isn’t going to be tough ! As he puts it, you are not there to be comfortable !
I am a 53 year old woman and I wanted to try lifting weights seriously for the first time and get into shape. I could not have done that on my own. Over the last 3 months, and thanks to Mike, I have transformed my body and feel so much more toned and confident - I now have the same body mass index as Kylie Minogue and feel ‘so lucky’ to have found Mike !

Mike is such an amazing personal trainer. He has completely changed my lifestyle by providing me with the correct tools and information to do so. He has taken the time to understand my day to day life to ensure the changes implemented are achievable and sustainable. The sessions have pushed me to do exercises I would never have done on my own in the gym and he also ensures my technique is correct. I am currently on week 5 of a 6 week programme and have noticed a drastic difference in my body. My aim was to lose body fat and tone up and Mike has made this goal possible!
I am confident that the changes made during this programme will be long term and I look forward to continuing my journey.

I am nearing the end of michaels 6 week challenge and i have enjoyed every second. The gym is top class as are the work outs that are individualised to suit each clients goals. I feel so much fitter, stronger and my clothes are loose on me. Michael teaches us how to be accountable and set good health habits such as increasing daily step count and the importance of nutrition and keeping consistant. Mike is very knowlegable and makes me feel comfortable at every session. I would highly recommend mike 💪

I’ve been on the 6 week challenge. Mike started with an initial consultation and explained clearly what was involved and how the 6 week challenge would work. He shared an e book and videos via a WhatsApp group to offer additional support and was happy to offer support, outside of the sessions, if needed. Mike is cleary very knowledgable and is able to explain the purpose and technique of the exercises during practical sessions and has been extremely patient when I’ve found it difficult to get the technique just right. Nothing has been too much trouble and I would recommend Mike to anyone. I’ve lost weight and feel better. I’m confident that I will know some of the exercises so I can exercise independently once the 6 week programme has finished. Thanks Mike.
