I started training with Dougie because I was clueless about how to structure my workouts and how to increase the intensity over time. I also wanted some guidance with nutrition.
Since training with Dougie my strength has improved incrementally and - equally importantly - I am far more confident and relaxed in the gym.
Dougie is extremely professional and knowledgable but also friendly and encouraging and keeps the workouts varied and tailored to your goals.
I would recommend Dougie to anyone who is looking for some inspiration, structure and support in their training.

I've been training with Dougie for 3.5 months now. He's helped me build back confidence in lifting weights after 2 years without doing so. He keeps the sessions varied, fun and leaves me wanting to progress further. He's also introduced me to new exercises and he's even made cardio something I don't dread! I've been working with Dougie for almost 6 months, and I can absolutely say he's the best PT I've ever had. I am hypermobile, and while I've worked with some great PTs over the years, none have taken the time to understand how my body works, or spend any time trying to correct the muscle imbalances that have been caused by my joints being over-flexible.
When I met Dougie I wasn't planning to start working with a PT yet, but his open interest in working with me to support me in finding a better way to exercise convinced me to give him a try. We spent a few sessions doing "R&D", where Dougie walked me through some standard exercises to see how my body responded differently, and then adjusted them until we found something that worked.
After a month, I realised that I was getting stronger, but I also never felt strained or overworked after a session. I didn't need to rest my shoulders or experience tightness in my calves (which had always happened after I'd worked out before) because Dougie had found a routine that worked for MY body. I could even see that my shoulders were better aligned, and felt more stable.
I would 100% recommend Dougie for his approach to training, as well as just being a great guy to work with - he pushes me, but not past my limits, and we have a great chat alongside the workout, making each session productive and enjoyable :)

My partner & I have had couples PT sessions with Dougie and its really paid off, we are both losing weight, toning up, getting stronger and our confidence has grown in the gym and in our daily lives.
I'm an anxious person but my stress levels have been reduced and I'm not as fraught as when I started.

Dougie has been amazing since I started with him as my PT. He has not only helped me with the physical training in the gym, but he has also helped me with my relationship with food. I am now more aware of what I am eating and I am now more mindful of my eating habits and can now make better choices which have helped me meet my goals. It has taken me a bit longer to make these changes, but his support throughout my journey so far has been incredible. My biggest hurdle has been consistency and he has helped me achieve this goal!!! I have been training with Dougie for a month and already can see achievements of the goals we set at the beginning of the program. I lost 3kg,my muscles have better definition and in general my strength has improved. I normally could not cycle uphill but the other day I was cycling not only to the very top of Greenwich hill, but I did it on a high gear! Dougie always keeps our program interesting, adds new exercises and shows different techniques. I like that even when I am training on my own, I can easily understand and follow it. I am very grateful that Dougie helped me to find a good balance between achieving great results, keeping training reasonably short and having a great time at the gym!

I have been a gym goer for about 3 years on and off, I thought I know a lot of things by just watching youtube videos and learning a lot of "bro" science. Dougie has been imperative in improving my confidence in the gym. Before starting our sessions I’d hide away on a cross trainer for half an hour, then get scared and leave! Now, I have the confidence to storm into the ‘scary’ section of the gym, and follow a detailed training program.

I always used to feel uncomfortable in the weight section at my local gym but now I'm fully comfortable with it. I can also do full push ups now which has never happened before. Dougie is now helping me with preparing for the half marathon this spring (wish me luck!). He's also helped me to sort out my snacking problem.
