IT career switch is a great course to kick start your IT career, but definitely requires a lot of work to get yourself through to the end. I'd recommend asking for the foundation course as well if your a complete novice like myself, as I don't think its as easy as its made out to be. A great course non the less.
The recruiters that work at IT career switch are very polite, helpful and work hard to place you in a role. Although, it does seem like you have to take the first role offered, or your job guaranty is at risk, which doesn't always translate to your personal situation. Regardless of this, the course was very articulate and in depth, and most importantly a success. I'd just like to say a big thank to all the of the IT career switch works for helping me find a role, especially Ann who helped place me in the role I will be starting next week. I would recommend this course.

IT career switch has been absolutely amazing!
The entire team, the way tuition is delivered, all the way to delivering a job. Absolutely remarkable.
This has essentially changed my life. Thank you again IT career switch.
I would personally like to thank Maria, and specifically Samantha, you’re a fantastic mentor and advisor.
Thank you again IT career switch for this opportunity. You made me shine!
I honestly cannot think of any words in the vocabulary to describe how this experience has changed my life.
I am now known in entire network Engineering community around the world, I am a technical content creator, blogger and I have received over 8 Job offers.
I am now the head of the entire IT infrastructure(physical networking, system administration and end user support) of a 5 floor higher education institute site.
Thank you again IT career switch.

I have been in hospitality for the last 17 years and always wanted to get into IT industry. I have been recommended IT career switch by a family member and started my Cyber Security course January 2021 while I was working full time. I had no IT knowledge so, It was very hard to study and work at the same time but, the more I studied, the more I liked so, I never gave up and put so much effort into it and, passed my A+ qualifications without a fail!
Some people have put negative reviews about the company but, please do NOT take such comments into consideration if you are planning to start your career with IT career switch. They really give you a great opportunity to start a new career so, of course you will have to go through a series of intense courses while studying to push your limits, otherwise, you would not be able to get a job, if you just studied the A+ course...
Yes, the course videos were not enough to pass the A+ qualifications, which I even liked more because, it makes you spend quality time on your study by doing more research to truly understand what you are getting into..
No sacrifice, no victory..If you are after an easy life and just want to watch some videos and expected to pass your exams then, get an IT job, you are in the wrong place..
I would like to personally thank Samantha from the recruitment team for her support during my job search.
I found a job in 2.5 weeks and now waiting to start my new career...
Once again, thank you for your help and support...

Passed my Comptia A+ exams in November after taking the IT Career Switch course, this has set me up for my first job in IT which I start on Monday!
The course itself is very accessible, though the first section can be quite tedious (many hours of videos) the live labs section is very fun and the exam prep questions are extensive. The exam booking procedure is very easy.
Once you pass your A+ you are assigned a dedicated internal recruiter (Thanks Jade!) who will help you with your CV and to land your first role.
I am due to start the second phase of higher qualifications soon and am glad that I will have the help and industry knowledge from the team once I have passed the exams and am ready for my first Network Engineer roll.

At first glance, IT Career Switch seemed too good to be true. After research, it turned out to be the real deal. Very quick, professional, friendly support when needed. Interesting, engaging and relevant learning materials. And, with lots of effort, I passed both CompTIA A+ certifications on the first go. A special thank you to my job recruiter Morgan, who helped me land my first job it IT, which is a far better role than I was expecting. I couldn't have done it without her. All around fantastic experience! Onwards and upwards!

Everyone has been so helpful and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that I did my best. The support and insight I received from my tutor, Alfred, was exceptional and my placement consultant, Nicole, was incredibly efficient, supportive and encouraging. The course content was thorough, engaging and challenging. I can highly recommend IT Career Switch and would encourage anyone contemplating changing career to get in touch with them.

IT Career Switch helped me break into the IT industry and go from a career in teaching to my current role as an IT technician. I could work at my own pace, while still being able to rely on the helpful team of tutors to work towards the COMPTIA exams included in the package. When the time finally came for landing a role in the industry, the recruitment team were extremely helpful and I had many interviews and finally a job offer within three weeks of publishing my CV.
For me, overall, IT Career Switch has fully delivered on its promises and I would recommend them to anyone looking to make the switch.

Will provide a comprehensive suite of training courses for your desired career to switch to. Excellent trainings with hands on remote-in Labs which are very desirable to employers. Value is excellent and cannot be faulted for the number of courses and exams included. Communication could be improved a bit between student and assigned Tutor during learning phase (more proactive/interactive).

I started an traineeship back in February 2021 and can confirm it was the best choice I have ever made. Along with continuous support from your tutor you will dive into loads of different courses and examinations preparing you for a role of your choice in the IT sector. For anyone even considering starting a career within the IT industry I would definitely recommend IT career switch!

IT Career Switch is an excellent platform for gaining fundamental knowledge of a field and also for the development of more advanced expertise. The project work is challenging (as it should be!) and is masterfully supported by Paddy (Head Tutor) and his team. Cannot thank IT Career Switch enough for the path they have helped me get on to. No looking back!

I have been studying with IT Career Switch for a few months now and my experience so far has been an excellent one; when I needed to take a two month vacation the student support team was really understanding and helpful as well as when I request a month payment break.
More recently, I had a problem trying to access some content of the course and Narishka instantly replied to me instantly about the issue trying to solve as quickly as possible.
I am grateful to the IT Career Switch team for their support so far.

Great place to start your IT career. I am doing CCNA Networking and its great source of information for someone who has never done anything even close to Switching and Routing. Most of tutors explain everything very clearly in videos provided. On top of great course material, Customer Service is top notch!

Helped me make the switch to an IT career with no prior experience in an IT role. The assistance provided when it came to applying for jobs was incredible including the way they restructured my CV and also the referals they made on my behalf to companies. It was hard work and you'll have to be motivated when studying but, personally it was money very well spent and I'm looking forward to continuing developing my new career.

Couldn't recommend IT Career Switch highly enough. I decided to give it a try after losing my job in car sales due to the pandemic. It took a little longer than I had planned due to learning alongside a full time retail job but in the space of a year I've gone from a keen computer enthusiast to a qualified technician about to start my first job in IT. If you're looking to get into the IT industry look no further than these guys.

I spent 17 years in hospitality. I completed the A+ over 12 months during which I was looking after my 3yr old, working evenings and moving house. Started getting job offers 2 weeks into the job search.
If you put in the work, you'll get the results and IT Career Switch will be there with professional guidance and support the whole way!
Best decision I've ever made, for myself and my family. Can't thank them enough!

Joined and started this course in Aug 2020 - Was thinking of a change in carer, most certainly recommended it, the support and belief received helped me in achieving a score of 85% on both my exams , passing first time. I felt the support every step of my journey and process, they explained and talked through each step clearly and the whole placement process was very thorough and stress free. Best decision I have made in a while. This is the first step to my new life and I am glad I chose IT career Switch to start my new journey in life with.

Decided to start a new career in IT and chose IT Career Switch for training. A year later, having passed the CompTIA exam, I have just been offered my first job in IT support. The training materials and preparation for the role are excellent, and the support Ann has given me in finding a job has been hugely helpful.

I've just finished the course and found a new job thanks to this course. It took me a bit long (nearly 3 months) but it was worth it at the end.
It is full of helpful content and I am 100% sure I will use that knowledge soon.
Don't think it's an easy path, specially if you do not have any background in IT, there are a lot of concepts and information to study and learn but it can be done even with not knowledge at all.
It took me around 6/7 months (as I was working at the same time) to finish all the courses, labs and CompTIA A+ official exam as the first 6 I couldn't do it for personal reasons. But it takes a lot of time and effort from your side. They are always there to help you with any doubt and guide you trough the process.
Clive was very helpful during the job search. He sent me job offers to apply and gave me tips on how to do the interview, how to approach the company while negotiating and offer / dealing with 2 job offers at the same time... He always answered my questions and gave me the best point of view on how to proceed at each step.
I would definitely recommend this training but only if you are willing to take the best of it and take your time and effort into it.
Can't wait to start in my new job and start step 2 of the training!

I chose and paid for the Cyber Security Traineeship which included the initial steps of first becoming an IT Technician. In this review I will explain my reasons for choosing this traineeship, my step by step experience, the position I'm currently in and what's next for me.
When the UK went into its first lockdown, I was studying for my IT and Computer Science A-Levels. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish them which left me feeling a bit lost, however, I decided that my next step should be to find a job in IT. When looking for a job in IT, what was being described in job descriptions made me feel quite out of my depth. That's when I came across IT Career Switch and the traineeship that they offer. I was skeptical at first, however, I can genuinely say that it's worth the money and time if you want to feel more confident in your knowledge and make your CV look much more appetizing.
IT Career Switch details their steps well on their website but here's my experience. You start off with loads of videos to watch on all 6 courses but CompTIA A+ is the one you'll be getting certified in so that's the course I spent the most time on. After watching a section of videos, you'll be tested to see how much you took onboard, however, these tests can be retaken many times.
Then after all videos and tests are complete, you'll be given access to Practice Labs where you'll be set tasks to complete on virtual desktop computers. This practical experience is very useful. Take your time getting used to the software/tools/tasks that they provide. I slightly rushed through this step which I now regret, its good experience to gain.
After all videos, tests and practice lab tasks are complete, you'll then need to take IT Career Switch's internal exam. This was HARD. They test your knowledge on all courses. You get 5 attempts to pass. I believe that I passed on my 4th attempt. If you rush through the videos and tests, you will not pass this internal exam. If you fail 5 times, you can still take your CompTIA A+ official exams, however, IT Career Switch will not offer their recruitment services and void the money back guarantee. If you did pay attention and truly learnt as much as you could, you should be able to pass this internal exam.
Next step was to take the official CompTIA A+ exams which I passed on my first attempt and am now CompTIA A+ qualified. If you pass their internal exam, you will then move onto the recruitment stage where one of their recruitment specialists will help you improve your CV, send you relevant job advertisements weekly and prepare you for interviews.
My first ever face to face interview, I was offered the job. I've been given a few weeks to settle into my new job before starting the Cyber Security Traineeship.
This is where I'm at now.
I can confidently say that through their videos, tests and practical live labs experience, I now feel comfortable starting my new job as a Junior IT Technician. My plan now is to get a few years experience as an IT Technician whilst studying IT Career Switch's Cyber Security Traineeship, then eventually decide what sector of Cyber Security I wish to pursue. Everyone at IT Career Switch was very friendly, happy to help and pretty quick to respond to any questions I had.
Overall good experience, would recommend to anyone wanting to kick start a new career in IT!

With a bit of effort and help from IT Career Switch Traineeship, you can really make a change in your life. The set of courses is not the most professional but still contains quite a bit of useful knowledge. The whole program, including CompTIA A+ certification, seems to be making a good impression and definitely helps to land a job in the IT industry. Money well spent. Thank you IT Career Switch. I'm ready for more ;)
D. M.
Good value for money with IT Career Switch, with plenty of resources with the video lessons and live labs which lets you practise and gain some practical knowledge. A big plus is that you can do the courses more or less at your pace and there is not a rush to complete it all.
Something I did not agree with was the fact that you have to complete the first 8 or so courses before you could sit your A+ exams, I would have preferred to complete the video lessons and sit the exams straight after whilst the knowledge was still fresh and on my mind, but I can understand why it's done the way it is.
The CV that was made for me was very professional looking and definitely up to industry standards. I did find my role thru the job guarantee program which is again another plus.
Overall I am happy I purchased the service and would recommend to others who have little or no experience in IT!
R.
Excellent service, I would definitely recommend them to individuals looking to retrain and move into the IT sector. The courses are comprehensive and easy to follow. This would have been a 5 star review however, I feel that that the timescale provided by the company to complete the courses is a little misleading. The job guarantee is also excellent I was employed in an entry level IT position within a few weeks of completing my final examination

I started the course in 2020 with limited experience and knowledge in coding and now I’m about to start a new job in software engineering. I can’t recommend the course enough!
It was A LOT of hard work (mostly self-study) and sometimes very challenging, but worth it! A great combination of theory and practice.
The full-stack application projects at the end of the course were excellent for improving my skills and including in an online portfolio. Paddy gave me super useful feedback on those projects and Morgan did a fantastic CV edit and was super supportive during my search for employment.

Excellent company who provide all manner of IT courses, exceptional support and amazing course content with something to show for it at the end. I am currently half way through a course and I am really enjoying it so far, I can study at my own pace and the support (from a real person) is always there if I need it. I have only had the pleasure of dealing with Toni @ IT Career Switch thus far and can I just say she has offered some of the best in class customer service I have experienced in a very long time, thanks again Toni for all your help and support.

Started the Health & Safety course at the end of April 2021. All the learning is online, however it is possible to print off most of the content if you prefer reading from a sheet of paper as I do. The IOSH managing safely course is completed first, having zero experience at H&S this was a great starting point as it gives a great outline of the main responsibilities and requirements for a H&S career.
Next up is the NEBOSH General Certificate. This is a much more in depth qualification involving many hours if study. For someone completely new to the subject there is a lot to remember and put into practice. When I felt I was ready I booked myself onto the exam for October. This is an open book exam so you can refer to notes and coursework, should be easy right? Probably one of the hardest exams I have ever done, it's about putting the theory into practice and getting that down as an answer with a limited amount of words to do it in. The course gave some information on how to approach the exam, however I did a bit of research via YouTube and a revision book from someone else to help with this.
Got the good news in mid December that I had passed the exam and sent a copy of my CV to IT career switch in early January for them to work on.
So now I am waiting to see how the recruitment process works out.
Nothing but positive things to say about the study material and everyone that I have dealt with so far. Fingers crossed I will be in a new career in the next few months.
Well, what can I say? I've got a new career and I start on the 1st of March. Thanks to Nicole for all her advice and help.

It’s been amazing 6 month of my life. I was down and out after not starting my IT career 11 years ago after I finished my BSc Computer Science. At first IT Career Switch seemed too good to be true but after I signed up for Networking engineer traineeship, I realised it’s possible and it requires dedication and a lot of hard work along with sleepless nights. I thank everyone at IT Career Switch for guiding my through it step by step.
Don’t get me you have to work very hard and you will be down at times as well but it’s worth it when you finally pass and get your first job.
J. L.
The student care team were really helpful and understanding, both over the phone and via e-mail. I was suffering a wobble in confidence near the end of the course, but after speaking to Tanya I was reassured and given a huge boost when my options were explained clearly and guidance was offered on how best to proceed.
I have found the course content challenging but ultimately effective in giving me the skills to step into my first IT role. Would definitely recommend for anyone that has an interest in IT and is looking to switch or start a career in the IT field.

I have just finished the first step of my Cybersecurity traineeship. The course itself was easy, the exams were trickier but they motivated me to learn more and I am very happy at the end.
It took me 2 weeks and 2 interview only to find a Service Desk job. Now I can learn as I work and also carry on with the rest of the traineeship.
It was an incredible service from the IT Career Switch team. The courses what they provide are really helpful (though you might need to go and look for other resources to pass the exam) and they made the job searching unbelievably easy.
If you are looking for a start in IT, they are the perfect choice.

This was a lot of graft! Not quite as simple and 3 easy steps that can be achieved in a few months. BUT after a huge amount of hard work and putting in the hours I have been offered a Support Desk Analyst Job with BT. All of which made possible with ITCS. They sent through loads of jobs to apply for and the practical advice and support received when applying for and having the job interview was brilliant. I recommend IT Career Switch 100% Thank you.
R.
This traineeship has been a very positive experience, from the on-boarding team (Specifically Tanya who helped me) right through to me completing 2 qualifications in Health and Safety. The recruitment team (Clive - thank you for helping me) are fantastic with helping you understand what employers are looking for when they place their adverts. I can whole-heartedly recommend this scheme to anyone that is looking to train in Health and Safety. Fantastic value for money and has such a brilliant team running this. With a massive thanks to the company - I have now secured my first position in Health and Safety. Thank you.

I have had IT on my mind for a while, but I didn't think it will be possible to get into the sector without going back to university for 3-4 years, which was not an option for me.
IT Career Switch made that possible, I managed to complete the first part of the course within the 1 year period while working full time and I have just got my first job in IT after only 2 weeks of recruitment.
I can't thank the team enough for all their help and support!
K. S.
I have found my time studying with IT Career Switch wonderful. I left university feeling a little lost and decided I wanted to change things up, so I researched what I wanted to do and I eventually came across IT Career Switch. At first I was unsure whether their Full Stack Development course would be appropriate for me, after reading a few reviews online and their many awards and nominations, I decided to take the plunge and start my career switch. Every step of the way I was met with ample support and professional tutors who were well versed in the course and the various different topics and steps. After 1 year I have graduated and I am about to start in my absolute dream job position despite working semi full-time while I studied. It's crazy to think this is possible to do, but it is! Thank you IT Career Switch.
G. E.
I found the course quite intensive and felt like the time line of 'could complete in 6-8 weeks' if studied full time are very unrealistic, being how that would been being glued to a computer for hours a day.
But once you get yourself organised and set a study schedule to suit you, it's manageable. I'd highly recommend going to external sources too, to hear things from a different angle.
The course content is good and in depth and comes with lots of PDF course notes that can be printed for your own studies.
My course advisors were always available and responded quickly if I needed help.
Once completing the course I had a recruitment advisor Phil who was fantastic and very helpful with interview prep etc.
I landed a job just one week after starting my job search journey and had a lot of help from my recruitment advisor Phil.
The only thing that really let's this course down is the order of study. You have to study compTIA A+ first and then take the CompTIA A+ exam at the very end so you really need to do alot of revision to refresh your memory. But I passed both exams first time so it's very doable.
Overall a great traineeship but could do with a few tweaks to really make it better.
I'm now excited to start the Cyber Security section of the traineeship. Special thanks to Leigh, Narishka and Phil who were an amazing help throughout.
T. Т.
I am very glad, that I started my education with IT Career Switch. The whole process wasn't that easy with the exams. It is alot of hard work. When it comes to support from the IT Career Switch it is immediate. They are always online and respond in the manner of minutes. I want to special thanks for the assistance of finding job to Ann Habib-Allah. Felt like she is concerned about me finding a job as much as I am. I have got my position on the 3rd week of my first apply, isn't it amazing. Thank to anyone working for It Switch Career, they made that possible.
S. M.
I.T Career Switch have been amazing, my whole experience I could not fault. They delivered on everything they promised and have helped me immensely in carving out a new career in IT.
The content is valuable and relevant, delivered in an easy consume manner. Their is a lot to learn and you need to be dedicated but all the tutors are on hand to help when you need it.
particular shoutouts to Paddy and Sarah thanks for all your help and guidance.
Would I recommend I.T Career Switch? without a shadow of a doubt.
M. L. G. V.
Thanks to IT Career Switch I managed to start my new career in IT after coming from hospitality.
It is true that you have several courses that are not directly related with the Comptia A+ certificated but they are very helpful when you have an interview as recruiters can see that at least you have a basic knowledge of networks, different windows operating systems, etc.
The internal exam is not easy and it can be frustrating but it is not impossible to pass.
I liked the mock tests because they explain you why is the right answer and why the other ones are wrong and it helped me to learn and understand more in detail and prepare me better for the official exams.
I have Clive as my recruitment advisor and he deserves more than 5*! He was absolutely amazing helping with any questions I had, sending me links to help me with the part of the interviews I struggled more and definitely keeping me motivate after any reject email. He is amazing!
It is not easy to change careers so obviously it will be hard a times and you will need to study hard but in long term it is worthy to enrol in this course as you will have support and help from them to tailor your CV (a very strong one) and to help you to find a job in a prompt manner.
R. C.
The process of getting information, signing up, getting access to course material and tutor support was very well handled. I did a certificate in H&S and have got a job well within the specified time frame since passing my course. IT Career Switch were partnered with a great training provider, and also have very good support once you're on the hunt for a job. Jade was my recruitment consultant and was very proactive and listened to what I wanted with regards to pay/location/type of work and focussed only on job types I'd specified.
S. E.
I received all the support in my journey, so failure is not an option. All the information, courses, tests are more then you need to kickstart your IT career. Thank you all and special thank to Ann my recruitment specialist for all the support provided during the recruitment process.
Ł. M.
I have a very good experience with IT Carrer Switch. I signed for the training with them and after completing it they help me to find a job as a developer. Big thank you to all IT Carrer Switch employees involved in my career change. I highly recommend their services if you are thinking of changing your professional career.

In October 2020, I began my coding traineeship. Due to personal issues, I was unable to complete my traineeship in the period allocated.
They do, however, provide me with an extra two months to do my Portfolio Projects. They updated my cv even after my training had ended.
I enjoyed the traineeship and learned a lot.
I recommend it because it includes everything you could want in an IT degree. It takes time and effort, but it is well worth it. If you have coding experience or are new to coding, this course will teach you a lot. When you start working on real-world projects, you realize how much you've learned.
I'm going to begin looking for work, and I'm hoping that this traineeship will help me get the job I desire. Thank you to everyone on the team who has assisted me during my traineeship.

Having spent over 5 years in the oil & gas and Aviation industries, I decided on a career to IT specifically in programming.
I was aiming to enhance my programming skills in the tech industry and thankfully I did a little search on the internet and found IT Career Switch. IT Career Switch provided me with invaluable opportunities and access to learn more than 8 programming languages. With support from the company, I built 2 world class projects and was well coached to sit for my Microsoft programming Examination, where I ended up achieving a 88% score.
Following on from completing the Full Stack Dev role with IT Career Switch, I got few job offers within the industry within few days of seeking employment and was faced with the dilemma of which offer to accept. The first as an Android Developer and the second a Junior Web Developer. IT Career Switch also attached me to 2 different tutors during my trainingship and they are all there to help at any time. I will recommend this services to anyone interested in breaking into Tech industry. Cheers, Kunle Daniel Olajubu

My experience is mostly positive. They kept their word and after I passed both official Comptia A+ exams they reviewed my CV, sent me job links to which I applied and after a month or so I got interviews and got employed. Now I am continuing with my Cyber Security course.
The thing is I had BASIC IT knowledge and experience and this course is for people who have MORE than basic IT knowledge and experience. The course is not for complete beginners, it is not a part time course if you are a beginner. I studied very hard, for months and promised myself that I won't fail and I didn't. It was very difficult, most of the time I had no idea what I was studying. I didn't think that I will pass the exams.
Another thing is that you need to get ALL information about the course. Once you finished all 7 course trainings you have only 5 attempts to pass the internal assessment. If you fail, you lose your job placement promise. I didn't know that. I passed on my 4 attempt. It was difficult.
There is very little practical knowledge. Yes, they have the live labs, but if you are new to the IT like me, it is only following guides and not real issues, no thinking, just repeating.
For the official Comptia A+ exams, I was using online sources, scenarios and experiences from people who already passed the test. The courses help very little in this. Comptia has real life scenarios, real life issues and believe me, complicated questions for newbies like me.
IT Career Switch are true to their word, they will help you with the job placement and after that they will continue providing you access to the Cyber Security course for 2 years (in my case) and that is all great. However they need to emphasize that their courses are NOT for complete beginners, not for people who know how to adjust their settings or migrate to Windows 11, or have basic IT knowledge.
I have to admit I have been in contact with some great people from the company, helpful and kind, to whom I am grateful.
In overall IT IS WORTH THE COST if you are determined to do it! It does open opportunities in the IT Industry. Just inform yourself what Comptia A+ is and read reviews and experiences.
R. M.
I was always wanting to get into IT but I wasn't sure the best way to do it. I also wanted to get out of a dead end job with no opportunity for progression. I gave this a go as I could do it in my spare time while working.
There's a lot to learn and I would say it's quite challenging but you need to persevere. I was really happy to gain my comptia certification at the end.
Once I got to the recruitment side I found I had a lot of interest from employers. My recruitment advisor was very helpful in finding me roles and I had a job offer within two weeks with a great company.
I'm really looking forward to starting my new job and continuing to learn.
R. T.
If you are truly looking for an IT career and have some patience & dedication, then it is the right place. From my personal perspective and experience, I would recommend the students to Ms. Narishka Govender for their career advise. She is really amazing, supportive, understanding and professional mentor. I am really grateful to her for her kind support and understanding.
A. M.
IT Career Switch have been very supportive throughout my studies and have delivered on their promise to find me a job in IT. I am extremely satisfied with the overall quality of the material (despite some parts of it being slightly outdated) and with the level of care taken by ITCS to ensure I got the most out of the training. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you learn, pass industry certifications, and finally, be fully prepared for finding an entry level role in IT. My tutor Leigh helped greatly with any questions I had about the course material, Ralph was amazing at helping me make choices about the path I wanted to take, and Anthony was brilliant while he saw me through the recruitment process. I would recommend anyone wanting to start a new career in IT to use IT Career Switch
T. K.
The retraining pathway provided by IT Career Switch has worked for me and I will soon be starting a new job as a Schools ICT Technician. You do need to be self-motivated and revise thoroughly to pass the exams (particularly their own internal test), but everything you need is either provided, or available free elsewhere on the internet. On completion of training and Comptia qualifications, I was provided by support and encouragement from their internal recruitment consultant, which certainly boosted my confidence in applying for jobs and performing well in interviews.

IT Career Switch has honestly been great. The content they provide is organised and well-structured, and the practice labs were super useful for me. Leigh was really helpful and quick at replying if I had any IT related questions. Furthermore, after passing my exams I was contacted by Anthony who helped me massively when applying for jobs by providing links and advice. He was so easy to talk to and very helpful.
I would recommend this course for anyone wanting a career change to IT, especially if you have no previous IT experience. However, it does require self-motivation and there is a lot of information to absorb. It's also good to have other sources for studying apart from the resources provided by IT Career Switch.

IT Career Switch offer an excellent learning package. The platform Codecademy gives a good overview on what a Full Stack developer needs to know. On the downside I had to implement some of the topics with other courses to understand it fully and properly. The tutors have been very helpful when it comes to develop the 2 real life projects even though sometimes they were very busy and hard to reach. Ann from the Recruitment team has been great when it came to the job hunt. I have found a job in 3 weeks from the start of the recruitment process and the companies I have talked to were interested in the work I have done during the traineeship at IT Career Switch.
Another downside is that it took me much longer than advertised to complete the programme even working on it full time.
Overall I am very happy about the decision of enrolling with IT Career Switch.

Completed the IT Career Switch Cyber security traineeship - managed to get placed into an IT Support Analyst role paying £24k p/a and only a 5 mile commute from my house. This was all within 1 week of passing my CompTIA A+ exam!
CompTIA A+ was a lot harder than I thought! Make sure to do your own research (do not rely just on the IT career switch online material). Professor Messer on Youtube has fantastic CompTIA guides which helped develop my knowledge.
Looking forward to studying for my CySa+ and getting stuck into a cyber security role in the future.
Big thanks to Leigh and Ann for being so helpful and finding me my first IT job.

Fantastic experience, if you are looking for a career in IT and don't know what to do or how to go about it, IT Career Switch provides you all you need to know and supports you all the way. Though it hasn't been easy working 60 hours a week in a non related field. If you are willing to push yourself, then IT career switch is there to support you. I would also like to say a big thank you to Toni Smith for all her support. THANK YOU TONI

This course put me in very good stead to get a job. If you want to learn the basics of a wide array of things then these courses do a good job.
The help they provided with interviews, making CVs and that sorta stuff was really brilliant.

I took on a career switch with IT Career Switch and it's been amazing from the beginning, you can complete the course rather quickly and be on your way in your first job! The staff is incredibly helpful and easy to talk to. I'd highly recommend IT career Switch as your one stop shop for your new career !
A. P.
Fantastic experience with IT Career Switch. They have very helpful staff that will respond to your questions very fast, and will help you with anything you need. The course itself is quite challenging and you will need to put effort, but it’s rewarding. I do think some of the course videos are extensive for what you need to know for the exam, but aside from this, if you’re looking to venture into the tech industry this is a good place to start
L. C.
I started this course with virtually no understanding of IT and the many fields it encompasses. Now that I am nearing the end of my studies, I have a firm understanding of, and confidence in things I had never even heard of before. This course is very in-depth and broad at the same time, and I am very much looking forward to beginning my career in IT. It has been very fulfilling, challenging and rewarding to study with IT Career Switch.
I would like to thank Narishka in particular for going above and beyond to help me along the way. She has been exceptionally accommodating and understanding of personal issues that have arisen, going out of her way to ensure that I get the most I possibly can from this course.
I would highly recommend IT Career Switch to anyone who wants to retrain in something new. It is suitable for everyone, no matter what level you are, and well worth the money.
G. K.
This course (Coding Traineeship) definitely points you in the right direction and is a pretty good starting point for an absolute beginner. Although it definitely takes longer than stated and I expected a bit more support but other than that I am pleased with this course. Can't say anything about recruitment because I found a job by myself just before the recruitment process started. I have learnt a lot.
R. R.
IT Technician Trainee. Everything is covered. Video courses, live labs, teacher support. I didn’t have any experience in the IT field and I passes my CompTIA A+ on the first try. I found a job after 1 month and recruiters give you all the support. Very happy to have chosen IT Career Switch

I recently completed my training and exams with IT Career Switch. Could not fault these guys at all, they provided any help and assistance that I needed promptly.
I would recommend this programme to anyone looking to get into IT but be prepared to work hard as it is not an easy ride, it does require dedication and hard work but if you succeed then they put you on a great pathway.
A. R.
I started my coding course last year and finished it with around 1 month to spare, I can highly recommend this course if.
1. You are not working and have a lot of time commitment to stay on track with learning.
2. If you already have some experience with web development.
I had no prior experience so jumping into this and learning new concepts was a bit of a challenge but is 100% possible, however I believe if I was working full time, there would be absolutely no chance I’d have the course finished as there is a lot to the course especially with the last two projects. you have a tutor who you can communicate with back and fourth with relatively fast replies which is excellent. And to the most important part, they helped me get a job 8 weeks later after passing the course, I will admit I was fairly sceptical of the promise but they done everything they could to help so thank you to everyone in the process wether it be my tutor (Alfred), and also Paddy, or the recruiter Phil.

The A+ content could have been better - I think I may have struggled with the exam without using other free resources online. The internal exam was really difficult with some questions not covered in any of the content - luckily you get up to 5 attempts. Other than this it was great! Due to personal circumstances I was struggling to meet the deadline but Ralph was really helpful with this. Ann from recruitment was great also, as was the interview prep materials provided. CV review was great and really sold me to potential employers - I received multiple interviews within a couple of weeks of passing my exam. If you are looking to get your foot into the IT industry I'm happy to say IT career switch are worth. Service was fantastic - only reason I have not given 5 stars is the A+ content was lacking in my opinion.

Are you looking for a new career in IT? Their name tells you everything.
They provide you with hundreds of hours of detailed training videos, then you get Practice Labs for practical knowledge and for preparation for the exams. If you have completed all your exams, their team will do everything to help you find a new job. Pretty good package!

Starting as 1st line Support Engineer thanks to IT Career Switch
Speaking for myself, I can only recommend IT Career Switch. I consider myself lucky as I was able to study and work from home during the Covid. I worked in Hospitality for over 15 years and wanted to change my career long time ago and never had the opportunity. The individual modules gave me good understanding of the topics that were required for passing the internal exam. The internal exam wasn't as easy as the tests after each module which took me by surprise at my first attempt but I did not give up. Once I have passed the internal exam (3rd attempt) the course became a lot easier. I thoroughly enjoyed the practice labs and now I am qualified with COMPTIA+ certification.
I was really pleased with the Recruitment stage. My new CV was ready in no time, Morgan was super efficient with job selections and I can now proudly say that I am starting my new job on 17th November as a 1st line support engineer.
I am really grateful for the opportunity and experience with IT career switch and recommend it to anyone who wants to change their career. But you must remember it's about your own dedication and hard work.
Best Wishes,

I have really enjoyed my time working through the courses with IT Career Switch. Their support has been excellent, and have been very informative with any questions I’ve had. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
If you are a looking to get a start in IT, IT Career Switch is the way to go.

Requires a lot of hard work and dedication but ultimately I am very grateful for the opportunity provided to turn my life around. The staff and support have been excellent every step of the way. The CV update was exquisite! About to start a new job in IT and I'm genuinely intrigued to see the cybersecurity course going forward. Could end up being one of the best choices I ever made so I can't give it anything less than 5 stars...
S. B.
Very helpful staff at IT Career Switch, always ready and willing to answer any questions I had during study and with recruitment after passing exams. Study material is very good and well rounded. Would recommend to other like minded people looking to change career.
H. A.
IT Career switch helped me to change career paths and enter the software industry. The course covers a broad range and you can study as quickly or as slowly as you like which is great.
The tutors were very helpful, but they didn't spoonfeed you any information which in my opinion was a good thing. You could always ask for help if you were stuck but they encourage you to try and figure out the answers for yourself which has made me a much better developer overall.
The recruitment process was very pain-free with great recruiters sorting out your CV and helping you apply for various jobs.
I would definitely recommend IT Career Switch if you are thinking about starting a new career within the tech industry.
A. H.
IT Career Switch do exactly what they say, after finding it hard to get a job while COVID is going on, I have been offered a place just 3 weeks after finishing the course. Would recommend others to attempt
J. R.
Very thorough training/learning process which prepares you well for the exams and future employment. The traineeship provides theory and practical elements to cover all aspects. Clive was especially helpful in helping me find employment in a very quick time frame, within 2 weeks of finishing the training. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to start a career in IT!
T. C.
I've had a great experience with IT career switch, so far. I am currently doing the cyber security course. Communication is very good, they always respond very quickly, to any questions I've had. The content of the course itself is great, it helped pass my first two exams first time round.
Definitely recommend getting in contact with them if you are considering a change in career.
A. L.
I have just finished IT Career Switch Internship and here are my thoughts:
The deal itself is good as it does include the vouchers for the actual A+ exams, training materials and the CV refurbish and recruitment help. After CV refurbish, i managed to have an offer from a company within 2 weeks of me searching + countless of other calls from other IT recruitment companies.
Here is what I think could have been better:
-It definitely takes longer than advertised. One think it is to sit through countless hours of videos and other is to actually absorb the content. Some of the instructors were more engaging than others as I personally found that some are simply monotone and you can loose interest in the very quickly.
In terms of the final exam - i will have to agree with some other reviewers - it is extremely hard to the point that the exam covers questions that are not even covered in the course material for example I had one that was asking what does a specific Linux command does, although Linux is not even covered in the course. After asking why is that to the tutor, i received "we will look into this" but never got an answer back.
Due to the above I also asked if there is any further material available for the course to cover the internal questions that were not covered in the course and I received an answer that there isn't and I should be looking up for further info myself, which is fine, however if you are training on an all in material and advertise a package that includes it all, then I dont think I should be sourcing/buying additional information elsewhere.
Although the above might be to sort list candidates who just wants an easy ride against candidates who actually want to get into IT, this at the end of the day is up to you and your willingness to learn and step into the new career.
I. M.
I will give an honest review about this company. For me, the training and the service was brilliant. I am very much an independent learner, so the structure of the course and the help on hand when needed suited me to the ground. I enrolled on the course in November 2020 and graduated in August 2021. By the end of August I was starting my new role as a software support technician.
One thing I have to point out, is that this course requires dedication and hard work. The job is not put on a plate for you. If you are willing to roll your sleeves up and commit to the study and exams, you will graduate with no problem. But when you get to the interview phase, you must also put lots of effort into getting yourself out there and interviewing.
The CV revamp is excellent. It opens many doors for you. But you have to walk through the door yourself! Do not expect to sit around and have things come to you. Anybody thinking of doing this type of course, I would highly recommend it if you are motivated to study and get yourself a new job. The people I worked specifically with from the company (Leigh, Ralph, Amber & Jade) were all excellent and gave me exactly what I needed when I needed it. But thankyou to everybody at the company as without this training I would not be sitting in my new job!
H. E.
I started the program in February, during the study time I've found the administration team and tutors were supportive and responding quickly.
The CV was attractive. The recruitment stage was going smoothly, Mr Clive used to send me nearly 20 links a week, and equipped me with H&S interview questions, he was helpful.
In general, the experience was nice and I would recommend the program for any one wants to step up on the H&S career.
C. M.
The recruitment service was superb. Lots of advertisements to apply for. The employment I was able to gain was through a referral rather than an application which shows that IT Career Switch have a good understanding of what employers are looking for.
Something I think that could be approved upon could be help with the competency part of interviews. I had next to no customer service experience so it very difficult to answer customer communication based questions.
The video lectures were good but the labs were probably the best experience I gained from the training. There could be a little more variation on configuring firewalls, such as DrayTek.
J. U.
I had a great experience with this company. Bought a cyber security course last year and just landed my first job in IT. The study material is huge and they provide all the tools necessary for you to pass the official exams, but you have to be very well organised and self disciplined. I would definitely recommend this company if you just getting into IT or want to expand your knowledge.
F. N.
Highly recommended training provider.
You definetely get what they promise and more. Their customer service, tutoring are outstanding. I can't be greateful enough for Nelson's and especially Paddy's guidance and help during my studies and for Phil helping me to start my IT career.
So, if you are thinking to start a course with them, stop it and enroll straight away!

The service at IT Career Switch has been exceptional. They have bent over backwards supporting me & have been really down to earth. The responses are always quick and the communication is excellent. My advisor, Tanja has been a great help.

I really enjoyed taking the course and learning new skills. IT Career Switch's advice in developing my skills and helping me find work was invaluable. I managed to find a full time position in just three weeks.
K. G.
I started with IT Career switch in October 2020. It was my first venture into IT after coming from a property management background. I had no idea what IT was about. I mean I didn't even know what a hard drive was! The course Itself was structured well although the content was difficult and required lots of hard work, especially if you are not from an IT background. There were many times I felt I couldn't do it but once I put in the work, I saw the rewards. The tutors responded fast to any emails and provided extra content on issues that I was struggling with. There was also plenty of online content to help me as well.
The Mock exams IT career switch provided were probably harder than the actual exams, my stress levels were out of control during those mocks but put me in a good mind frame for the exams ahead. The practice labs experience were amazing and a great way to put into practice what I learnt. It was valuable that after I finished the course they are still allowing me to access the labs for a few more months!
I felt prepared for the exam and passed both exams the first time. I would like to shout out Narishka who was amazing and made the whole process less stressful.
After finishing the course I was highly sceptical of getting a job due to no experience in IT at all but here is where their superstar recruitment team came in. Samantha was amazing and found me a job in less than 2 weeks and I start on Monday as a 1st Line Support Engineer! Samantha made the whole recruitment process so simple. She was easy to talk to, called me every Monday to discuss how it was going and if I had any issues. She sent me job offers and always remembered when I had interviews to follow up with a good luck message. She went above and beyond to help me for which I am very grateful. She's a real asset to the company.
For anyone having doubts about doing an IT career switch course, I would recommend to just go for it. It's not easy but put in the work and you will get there in the end. The whole claim of them finding you a job is no joke. As I mentioned, in two weeks Samantha found me a job and it was a referral from a company they already had contacts with. The amazing thing about IT Carrer switch is that they are a known company with a very good reputation. You will find many companies/ other recruiters who have heard of them being a reputable company which is a plus when you start applying for jobs.

IT Career Switch consistently supported me through my studies, enabling me to gain the skills I needed to begin my career as a Software Developer. I was given quality education through Codecademy, expert support through my two showcase projects and a dedicated recruiting consultant who helped me obtain a fantastic first job just two weeks after completing my traineeship.
Lastly, a special thanks to Nelson, Paddy and Clive for all your help this past year!

The fact that I’m giving the 5-star review for the second time tells a lot about my experience with IT switch. I have now passed CompTIA A+ exams thanks to their great courses and support from their fantastic team. Toni and Narishka were very helpful throughout my journey and here’s one big thank you to them. Keep up the great work!

T Career Switch gave me a good option to kickstart my IT Career by providing me with the training necessary to be A+ Qualified (More training is yet to come). If I had to critique the training in any way, it would be that maybe some parts could be a little bit more interactive, as it is quite easy to get disengaged from the teaching if the instructor is simply reading off some boring material from a PowerPoint presentation. In regards to the recruitment process, I had the pleasure of dealing with my correspondent (Anthony Naude) that was ever so attentive to our conversations and showed real determination in regards to securing a position to me, wether that be in the form of lists of applications for me to fill out, or simply sending out feelers to different companies on my behalf. The recruitment process was also, as a consequence of his and my work, quite short (give or take 5 weeks). All in all, I don't regret having chosen IT Career Switch and for anyone doubting them, I would certainly give them a try.
A. C.
I would thoroughly recommend IT Career Switch for anyone considering switching careers into the field of IT. The training and support for learning was great, my tutor Leigh was always on hand to answer questions. After I passed my exams (first time) I was introduced to my lovely Recruitment Officer, Ann. I'd predicted this part of the experience would be just as good as the rest, however, Ann's help was really above and beyond what I'd expected. She made applying for jobs and doing interviews a much more relaxed experience than it could have been. All her tips and tricks were fantastic and absolutely spot on, she covered every possible interview question and gave top class advice on redoing my Linkedin profile and cover letters too. It had been a long time since I'd done an interview but with Ann's help, I felt so much more at ease and well prepared for it. After only two and a half weeks of applying and interviews, I got offered an IT Helpdesk role and I start in one week! Thank you Ann, you're an absolute treasure, I couldn't have done it without you. Anyone thinking of changing careers, It's never too late! I'm 51 years old and so looking forward to new beginnings in the world of IT. Thank you IT Career Switch!

Great course with manageable learning curve that took me from a programming zero to an employable hero. All the work is done from home and based on various online tutorials, projects and quizzes. Staff responds quickly and is happy to help.
I completed the Coding Traineeship and three months later I was offered a position as a junior developer. It was not through a referral - weekly I was provided with a lot of job ads, for which I had to apply. Eventually my portfolio, CV and cover letter (later two rebuilt by a dedicated ITCS career advisor) secured me two interviews and a full-time job! :)

I have started my IT Career Switch Cyber security course September last year and can say I am happy I did so.
The first batch of training covers a wide range of topics that go above the scope of Comptia A+. Although the course could theoretically be finished within the advertised time in my opinion it will take the average person more if you want to really soak in the material. After all the whole point of the course is to give a person enough knowledge to start working in IT. So treat the journey as a learning experience rather than a race.
The internal exam in my opinion is a bit too much just because of the large amount of material that it covers. From my educational experience in university we did not have tests from such large amounts of information. Do not think that it is impossible just be prepared to do a lot of revising. This is where I think studying full time would be an advantage as you would be taking the exam while the material is still fresh in your head.
The LiveLabs were the most enjoyable part of the whole course. Applying the theoretical knowledge in a virtual environment is great as you can make configurations without having to brake your own machine. You will get to configure Windows, understand what can be done with scripting and gain Linux skills which I think is essential for an IT professional. If you follow along the networking simulations you will also get hands on experience configuring switches and routers.
I would recommend revising for the Comptia A+ certification separately before taking it. The LiveLabs will have questions for revision but I had a look into some additional material just in case. I think looking at the same material from a few sources helped me pass the exams on the first go.
After getting my certification it took me about a month to find a job. You will get your CV tailored for the IT market and I found that to have brought me a lot of attention from recruiters having 4 interviews a day at one point.
The people I was in contact with throughout were always polite and quick to respond. I would like to give a big thanks to Narishka who was always there to respond to my progression enquiries and Clive who helped me land my first role in IT. I really appreciate all your work and will always be grateful.
I am looking forward to the second batch of training that will get me prepared for a role in Cyber Security. I know I am in good hands and am excited to see what lies ahead.

IT career switch opened up a great opportunity for me to kick start my IT vocation, which is what I strived to do for years without ever seeing a route to easily do so jumping out of my previous career. The layout of their study material on their site is great and straight forward once in a position to move to exams. Want to also mention Faye Emerson as my recruitment advisor as she did a fantastic job. Thanks again IT career switch!

I am very happy with all the service from ITCareerSwitch, they have demonstrated to be well equipped with the knowledge and facilities to deliver what they promised.
Early 2020 I have started my Cyber Training, 6 months in I was able to secure a job just with the knowldge I had learnerd during the course. At the end of the year I became CompTIA A+, trust me you do have to study as the test is not easy, but ITCareerSwitch with my instructor Leight, gave me good links and tips on how to tackle the test.
Recently, after a year 6 months later working as an IT Technician, I have ask them to update my CV as I have started looking for my new role, 1 week applying with their CV I manage to secue my next role.
I would definitelly recommend the company if you are looking to kick start your IT career, or if you are thinking in putting your tech skills into a professional environment.

I started cyber security course with IT Career Switch in January 2020 and passed the CompTIA A+ exams on 1st April 2021. In my opinion, passing the internal exam is quite difficult. I passed the internal exam on my fifth attempt but it helped me a lot for the preparation of the CompTIA A+ exams.
I am personally thankful to Leigh Johnson, my personal tutor, who supported me constantly throughout the course. He used to reply me within a few minutes when I contacted him with any query. I am also thankful to Tanya and Ralph Margo, who are very supportive for any difficulties before and after the exams.
My recruitment manager was Phil, who helped me a lot for finding a job. Finally, I can tell that the video tutorials and Live lab are well organised and resourceful.

I'm still in the process of completing the first phase of the Cyber Security traineeship with IT career switch. As I work full time alongside raising a family the structure of the course and being able to do things at my own pace has been amazing. Personal tutors are on hand to give any and all guidance that you need throughout the journey.
All of the support statff are great and really helpful. Recently i've been struggling with illness that has caused me to fall behind in my learning and progess with the course material. I spoke with a extremely helpful student support rep named Toni about the possibility of receiving an extension, for the time that I've missed due to illness. Toni explained the process for applying and what documentation I would need and made the whole process very quick and stress free.
I would 100% reccomend this course to someone who is looking for a change in profession. Yes, there is alot of material to cover and you need to make sure you have the time and be commited to getting it done but it's all worth it in the end.
H. P.
When I first joined IT Career Switch I was a little wary, even after reading the Feefo reviews. I am glad to report that this traineeship is in fact not a scam! The courses I went through were very thorough and explained the content really well. I didn't email my tutor much but when I did he (Leigh) was very quick with the replies and was very helpful.
The actual CompTIA exams were easier than I thought they'd be but still challenging. I would recommend to anyone sitting these exams to try and do it at an actual test centre rather than from home though as they're quite strict with the proctoring and they will look for any reason to disqualify you.
When it came to the recruitment stage after I was certified, my advisor was Morgan and she was very helpful. My CV review was done about 3 days after I was certified and after that, she called me regularly (once or twice a week) to check up on the job search and give me tips on interview process, applying etc. She was also very quick to respond to any emails I sent and managed to find me a job within two weeks. The job I got specifically mentioned that the thing that stood out on my CV was IT Career Switch and how they've got a very good reputation.
All in all I would definitely recommend IT Career Switch to anyone looking to get into the field of IT. In my honest opinion the recruitment process is worth the fee alone as otherwise it can be very difficult to get an entry level job. The price is a steal! Read less

I started IT careers switch at the beginning of Covid in hopes to do a 180 on my current career. In just under two years I have landed a good job, with high chance of progression and learnt alot about the industry and my technical capability. In my new job I started next to university graduates and I by no means do I feel out of my depth, the course had prepared me well. Big shout out to Nicole, there job recuitment was flawless! I was always checked up on regually and helped throughout the process.
If you are dedicated and want to change careers this is the platform for you.
Many thanks IT careers switch, I look forward to continuing my studies with you.
J. C.
IT Career Switch and everyone involved has been brilliant! Honestly I was very skeptical going in and took a while to decide if it was legit or not but glad I decided to go for it.
The outcome really depends on the work you put in and there is a lot of content to take in during the first stage. Coming in to it with zero IT experience or knowledge I thought it might be a bit much when I first started but it does all come together in the end and pays off.
A big thanks to Jade especially who helped with the recruitment process and sent plenty of jobs over to me. Within 2 weeks of applying for jobs I'd already had two interviews and two job offers.
Thanks again and look forward to starting the next part of the course!
N. O.
The course has been really enjoyable and lessons are great for learning all the material, as they make it as easy as possible to understand course as possible. The payments are affordable and definitely worth the investment. I have felt supported through the course, even when having difficulties with my mananging
my time, personal commitments and studies.
In particular Toni who was very understanding when I needed extra time to complete my course, both professional and personable in the way she was able to support me.
More than just a online course, thank you to everyone in the team
I. S.
The IT Career Switch program is very challenging but covers many very relevant topics in modern software and web development technologies. The projects I did were educational themselves and helped me hone my skills and become a more confident full stack developer. They delivered as promised.
K. O.
Cannot fault the service at IT Career Switch, they provide an excellent route into the IT industry for beginners with an exceptional platform and mentoring. As someone who didn't go to university, I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to achieve highly recognised qualifications for a fraction of the price.
R. L.
Some of the course content is dated, though not with regards the course on which you take the A+ exams. This isn't really a problem as it all helps give you a wider context with regards study. I personally used other free resources from the web, with regards exam prep, which I would recommend, especially if you are new to IT. The course, A+ certification, and recruitment assistance resulted in numerous interviews, and a quick job offer, despite my lack of any IT experience.

AV Technician to Software Developer in 13 months.
I’ve gone from having no experience to being a Software Engineer in full time employment in the space of 13 months. It’s been both a gruelling and rewarding experience at times, with the wider online community providing invaluable support throughout.
The bedrock of the course was based in Codecademy but I found the final projects to be the most beneficial element of the learning. When it came to job hunting there seemed to be a predominance of C#/.NET and Java vacancies, whereas both of the project’s specifications stated the use of PHP for the back end. In hindsight I think the projects could be even more beneficial by creating one project in C#/.NET and one in Java, perhaps also specifying a popular front-end framework such as React.
I’m really happy I took the plunge and that it’s yielded a brilliant role.
H. A.
Just spoke to IT Career Switch they also have renewal options and look after there staff, colleagues and customers on the course Big Big shout out to Maria Kowalkinska we have been in contact and she is the best advisor or person to speak to really helpful, polite and respectful too. Your great Maria Kowalkinska thankyou for everything 😊

Best decision ever taken !
I’ve achieved my CompTIA A+ certification and after 2 weeks I’ve received the first job offer as a “ICT Support Engineer” for 28K per year, which I’ve taken:)
Ralph is an enthusiastic and very professional person who will always be there ready to help with anything you need, from the beginning to the end of your entire journey.
Dealing with him was amazing.
Phil rebuild my CV and prepared me for the interviews.
The quantity of material he shared with me to improve my LinkedIn and CV and tips to consolidate my personal attitude and approach for interviews was huge and pure gold.
With Phil’s help you will easily find a job!
Quick clarification for candidates, especially beginners, looking to start the CompTIA A +
Personally, I believe that the “IT Career Switch” course it is worth only if you achieve the job guarantee along with their help rebuilding your CV and their help finding you a job.
That condition is ONLY applicable if their internal exam is passed. Their internal exam is based on 6 different courses including Security +, Network +, Cisco, Microsoft 7, Microsoft 10 and finally your CompTIA A+.
For beginners, each course will take at least 1 month of full time study (check online yourself), therefore, to pass the internal exams you will have to study AT LEAST 6 month full time and still, it will be a very tough exam to pass (42 questions in 40 minutes, minimum 70% score required, max 5 attempts, and remember, about 70% of their internal exam is NOT based on CompTIA A+).
It’s not an easy journey,. It’s actually quite hard with more than 3 thousand slides of material to study.
But, if you manage to make it through, you will be highly rewarded!
Good luck!

I'm really happy with IT Career Switch. I worked several years in Hospitality and I wanted to follow my passion and start a career in IT. I choose this course and in one year I completed the first part, passed the exam and I got a position in IT and I will start soon. That is great.
The course is very well structure, it gaves me all the knowledges that I needed and it covered a big range of arguments (CompTia A+, CompTia Network +, CompTia Security, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Server, CCNA, ITIL).. The virtual lab provided me real working scenario to improve my skills in troubleshooting and to use the informations that I learnt in a practical environment.
After I passed my exam they built my CV and they helped me with the application process, where they gave me total freedom to choose which company apply or not.
All the team from the tutor to the recruitment staff and to the office administrator been very kind and on top all the time, with quickly and professional answer to every questions that I had.
I think I made the right choice to do this course and I'm recommending this to all the persons that want to change their job and start an IT career. Read less

Brilliant service. Helped me pass my exams on my first attempts and then get a position within 2 weeks of passing my exams. The practice labs along with the training is what made me stand out as a candidate. Very fast responses from my tutor and all staff in general.
D. E.
My experience with It Career Switch has been great. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the tutors. The course itself is very simple but can take a lot of self dedication to stay on track as it's mostly self taught learning. Practice is key and take on board any advice given.
I do think the course could be improved if there was some form of group activities and personal tutoring outside of the projects.
As for the projects that I completed, they taught me some great skills and look great to potential employers.

Really good service I just got hired on a 22+ k a year job . Was really sceptical at first but they train u to a really good standard. It takes a lot longer than advertised. I'd give yourself about 6 months to finish all the training and be aware that it's not easy. The CompTIA a plus exam is no joke and the pass mark is really high. So don't think this is a an easy way to get a decent paying job. You will have to work hard. They helped a lot with recruitment after I had passed also which was very important. Sarah was really really great and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for checking up on my recruitment once a week and sending me jobs to apply for as well as rewriting my CV and passing it along to recruiters. Really 10/10 service. You pay a lot of money initially but get a lot for it like access to virtual environments to do practical stuff and all the theory lectures
C. M.
Definitely challenging especially passing the 1st step (which tests your knowledge on all 8 courses altogether), but not impossible. I loved the 2nd step which is practical labs (very interesting&engaging). 3rd step includes official 2 CompTIA exams (I felt really proud when I got my CompTIA qualification). Overall, loads of knowledge & learning. This course definitely lands you a job in IT, I got mine within 2 months. Can't wait to finish the 4rth step (a move towards Cyber Security).
The customer service is amazing, you will get responce to your emails within 12 hours which I believe is great. I am grateful to IT Career Switch.
A. C.
Great experience overall. The course was pretty challenging but you definitely learn quite a lot. Once I had finished it took me around 4 months to find a job, but this was mostly down to my not-so-great interview skills, as I did have a fair few interviews. Definitely recommend.
N.
I highly recommend IT career switch if you really want to start a career in IT. This course is best for those looking to get into an entry level IT position such as working in an IT service desk or as a trainee technician. This course requires a lot of commitment as you have 1 year to complete the traineeship. This can be quite challenging if you work full time but it can be done if you manage your time well. You have to have a passion to learn as there is a lot of content to go through.
Once I passed the two CompTIA A+ exams and obtained my CompTIA A+ qualification, the recruitment team edited my CV to be more IT related. Nicole offered me support for job applications and was very helpful in providing me with resources to help me prepare for interviews. I uploaded my CV on various job sites and within 1 week of passing my exams I received around 6-7 phone calls from companies asking me if i’m interested in service desk positions.
The companies who contacted me were impressed that I did the IT career switch traineeship. There is a lot of competition for entry level IT roles so this course does help you stand out. It is also beneficial if you have some customer service experience.
I interviewed for an IT service desk trainee position for a company not far from my home and I received a job offer for that role after 3 days!
I thank IT career switch for helping me in achieving my first IT position.

The course provided is very good but it would be beneficial if there was a page of "useful websites" were they where link to websites with tips, exams and other course information. As I found myself doing alot of external learning. I found the internal exam alot more difficult than the comptia exams but I guess that helps manage expectations and makes sure you have a solid knowledge base. The staff that i spoke with where helpful and polite but the onboarding process was extremely lacking, I think it would be beneficial if the tutors introduced themselves rather than having no communication until there are issues with the course.
M. P.
The course was good learned alot but internal test a lot harder than the tests from the content had to do alot of external revision to pass other than that labs and getting access to exam codes was straight forward
B. D.
Paid customer of their Cyber Security Traineeship.
I got CompTIA A+ Certified from the course and then assigned a recruitment consultant/specialist to help place me in an IT role (as part of "Step 4" of the course).
2 weeks in, I've now secured a job at an IT MSP and I am eagerly awaiting to be given the CySA+ course material(s) from IT Career Switch.
I'm very grateful for the guidance (and revision material etc.) given to me by IT Career Switch. I think it's too early for me to write a definitive review, but if I can put my head down and complete CySA+ then I would say this has been "worth the money".
A. B. a.
Finding a way in to the IT industry felt very daunting for me and with no hope what so ever, I decided to Invest my money and time. Best decision I ever made. This isn't an over glorified experience or review, if you really want to make it you have to put in the TIME and EFFORT.
Cons* - Not much to motivate you feels like a long application form for a job that spans over months.
- Not tailored for everyone.
- Screams scams but really isn't. it career switch try work on that please, I don't know how but try
- the internal test really stressed me (like how am I gonna recall content form 7 different certifications) it will take you a couple attempts
- learn to love the american accent most of the videos are not local to the UK.
Pros*
- More content than necessary which gives
more bang for your buck
- very reponsive when you need help
- vey polite and sympathetic towards most issues like decline payment and invalid voucher codes
- really really enjoyed the practice labs
- if your a virtual learner like me then you'll in
joy

I'm currently in the middle of doing my courses with IT Career Switch. I find the content really good and to the point. It's a lot to take in, but the revision tools really help.I've also found one particular staff member Toni really supportive over the last week. Fingers crossed thanks to her support I will be taking my assessments soon. Thanks Toni!
J. M.
study material was very easy to follow and very clear, full of anecdotes and personal stories to help you remember certain things.
Very quick responses from your personal tutor if yo have any problems or questions.
Exam was booked within a few days of passing the LiveLabs, i passed first time on both exams (CompTIA A+)
Now employed by CGI as a service desk technician analyst, with a lot of opportunities for growth.
Second set of studies to be sent out soon for my future learning and qualifications.
Very pleased.
A. D.
Brilliant from start to finish! Gained instant access to the courses which were very thorough and the recruitment process helped me get a job within a month. Great thank you to Nicole who looked after me during the recruitment phase.

I had a gap in my career and I wanted to get back to IT field ,I am so happy that I chose ITCareer Switch[Coding Traineeship] to help me out here.Well planned, detail oriented and exhaustive curriculum followed by two high quality projects gave me a technical boost which was so helpful in getting my career back on track.
Kudos to the entire team and most helpful staff ever.
S. W.
Overall, I was very impressed with IT Career Switch and the Coding Traineeship that they provided. I started the course with a minimal understanding of software development and the structure of the course worked well for me. The portfolio projects that I had to develop were great, they take into account real-world concepts and are a great challenge which really get you thinking and using your problem-solving and research skills. The support I received from my tutor, Paddy, was exceptional. He was very understanding and guided me towards solutions when the going got tough. My recruitment specialise, Faye, was also great. Again, very supportive and provided lots of job options on a regular basis.
The only recommendation I would suggest for this course would be to substitute the video tutorials for something a bit more engaging. Other than that, the course was fantastic.
D. M.
I started with It Career switch in 2020, they gave me material to prepare for CompTIA A+ Exam, next week I'm starting a new role as It support Technician. Now I'm looking forward to continuing into Cyber Security, big thanks to Anthony for helping me to find my first job in IT.
C. H.
I had previously written a 1 star review for the company because of the experience I had on the course and I stand by my experience, that as someone completely new to the course this is not easy, I found it very complex after I progressed past comptia+ 1 and 2 and the explanations I received to questions about unnecessary and necessary parts of the course given whilst on the course where not given well. In addition when I desired to leave the course with two remaining payments, and was willing to pay a cancellation fee which they require, I was told the cancellation fee was £274 which was the same as what the two remaining payments would be.
However I must acknowledge the overwhelming positive reviews and chalk this up to my personal experience with it. Although I would recommend for those wanting to complete the course that you fully research and understand the work load and smarts needed to do so before committing.
The customer service team also reached out to me and agreed to cancel my remaining payment, and where very understanding and in fact explained in a way I now completely understand in regards to the course setup which I appreciated. I must thank Ralph from the customer service team for this and I offered to change my review in reflection of this effort on their own initiative . I do, however, think it is a shame that I had to write a review to receive this gesture after being refused prior.

Took a chance on a company I'd never heard of, but it's been well worth it.
Great online training packages, responsive to emails, and encouraging staff.
Looking forward to starting work with the things I've learned so far, and to gaining more qualifications as I work.
Highly recommended.
A. V.
Great experience, learned a lot. A professional team who is there along the way and very helpful in achieving the ultimate goal. The whole course is professionally compounded. Landed on a junior web developer position. Definitely recommend to those who wish to make a career change.
D. H.
For everything that the course teaches you and prepares you for, the value is excellent, and the level of support has never let me down. About to start my first role in my IT career next week, and I couldn't have done it without IT Career Switch!
D. J.
Amazing experience! Would definitely recommend this to friends and family so they can also have the pleasure of doing this course! They have amazing staff who help along the way with equally amazing tutors who give easy to understand tutorials! Loved this experience and learned so much which will definitely help in the future both at home and work!
T. F.
Great company! You get what you put in. Went from not knowing how to code at all to getting a job as a web developer in 2 years. Highly recommend!
S. R.
The course was fantastic. Excellent, quality content that covered all areas and requirements and then some, giving full understanding of what I needed to learn in order to pass. The job guarantee scheme was fantastic and I felt assured I would find a role (which i did!). Contact with the team was great and there was always someone there to speak to if I needed any assitance or had any queries.
M. R.
The training materials were very in depth and the staff were perfect. Every promise they made they kept and now I've actually got a job in IT.
V. N.
The mentors and advisors after the completion of the course throughout and during the job hunting search process were kind, responsive and a pleasure to work with. Specifically Nicole who was helping me with advice, guidance and job posts to apply for.
R. M.
Very long, very intensive course. Not by any means an easy ride, be prepared to graft hard.
That being said, the courses were very useful and the service I received from Dave and my recruiter Amber were excellent.
After applying for upwards of 50 jobs, all found and sent to me by Amber, within a week I had 3 interviews and within 2 weeks I had accepted my first job as a technical remote specialist.
TL;DR - Very long and difficult course, but with time and patience it's absolutely worth the money, excellent customer service.
M. K.
It was a great experience with IT Career switch. In the beginning I was double minded because I am from non-IT background but after watching their course videos and live labs made me more confident.
The course is very intense, so one need to dedicate a lot of time and Commitments.
I just want to give a big thanks to Ralph who was always there to help all my queries with his motivating and kind words.
Once I passed my official CompTIA A+ exam, Amber helped me to build my CV and she kept sending me lots of jobs links. She helped me to secure a job as service desk Analyst. Thanks a lot, to Amber.
Overall, if you are thinking of making the move into an IT career, the IT Technician Traineeship is an excellent pathway to getting there. I would recommend IT career switch for those who want to switch into IT.
Thank you once again to all IT Career Switch staff members.
D. I.
Within three weeks of passing my CompTIA A+ I had a job offer, and IT Career Switch were very quick to review my CV and get me onto the job market. Very happy with the end result and would recommend to anyone who is willing to put in the effort. It's not an easy task retraining and requires dedication, as you would expect, and to have had assistance and guidance from IT Career Switch was invaluable. Anthony my career guide was very dedicated with sending jobs over and is really nice guy to chat to as well, offered great advice and I'm really pleased to have gone through the final stages with him.
C. M. C.
I would like to give a massive thank you to IT Career switch and their team for the support I received throughout the duration of the course.
If you have a genuine interest in IT this definitely is a course I would recommend. The course did take a lot longer than I expected but I believe it was the best investment and decision I made as I am now CompTIA certified and have secured a job role. A special thank you to Leigh for assisting me throughout the duration of the course and providing me with studying material in preparation for my exams. The course material is thorough and detailed, as a visual learner the video tutorials plus practice questions are significantly helpful. The technical knowledge I have obtained overall from completing the course has allowed me to feel very prepared to start a career in IT. It is important to highlight that this course is tough and to succeed effectively, you must be prepared to put in the work and the time. This was highlighted to me from the start, so I was mentally prepared. The amazing support I received is worth noting, as you do not feel on your own and can constantly ask questions. Another special thank you to Ralph Margo for his help taking me though the exam process.
I would lastly like to give another huge thank you to Clive for his excellent support and helping me throughout the recruitment process. Clive provided a fantastic job fixing my CV and recommended ideas on how to improve on my linked in profile. He also made weekly phone calls to check it on my progress and helped me secure job role within a matter of weeks. Each member of the team was very quick to respond on any queries I had and without a doubt couldn’t have secured a job without them.
Thank you, IT Career Switch, I cannot recommend your fabulous service enough.

I began my Cyber Security course with IT Careers Switch in July 2020 due to a change in career/industry due to COVID-19. The course staff were really helpful with explaining the detail of the process and the studies/exams that will entail, as well as the employment possibilities upon completing the course. I was also told that throughout the course I will have a personal tutor who will be able to assist me with any difficulties I may face.
I have to be honest in my review - IT Careers Switch are true to their word! From week 1 to my last week, I was always given the best possible help even if the question was a silly one. I passed my internal exams and my COMPTIA A+ Core 1 & 2 within 7 months and I have begun work as an IT Dialler Manager at a Manchester based firm within 3 weeks of being A+ certified. I could've possibly completed this earlier if I wasn't self employed during the course, but I was delighted to complete the exam and be recruited in no time at all.
Definitely recommend - these guys are the real deal.
The course is difficult, you need to commit your time and energy to it, but it is certainly doable and the rewards are worth it.
Good luck!
M. C.
IT career switch have the most pleasant and helpful staff by far. Helping me with all my needs whenever needed. I just want to say a big thanks to Narishka for being extremely helpful as well as the rest of the staff.
G. B.
This is George Annan Ogbeide.
Toni Smith has excellent communication skills. I was looking for support about my course, and she was able to help me out and even guild me through the course on where to start from. I am so pleased with her support. She was much appreciated. Regards, George Ogbeide.

If you seriously are dedicated and are willing to put your head down and seriously listen and learn, this place is perfect for you. I have been studying with them for over a year, passed my exams and already in my workplace looking forward to continue my studies with IT Career Switch.
T. H.
If like me, you are looking to make a complete change from your current career, IT career Switch is a great place to start. You can take the learning at your own pace so it is easy to fit around your current work schedule. The only thing I would say is that when it comes time to take your exams it is definitely worth looking at lots of different information sources, not just those provided as this will really help in having a full understanding of the topics, and in some cases make a question clearer if it is presented in a way that you might not have otherwise seen before. This is something that the course and tutor recommended and I'm glad they did.
My recruiter, Faye, was very helpful and her positivity helped keep me optimistic about finding a job. I think it was roughly 4-5 weeks after passing my exams that I received a job offer and I'm feeling really positive about the future!
K. B.
I finished the coding course after 5 months (3 months studying part-time alongside a full-time job, and 2 months studying full time), and got two job offers within a month of finishing.
The first part is a self-study course with support from a tutor if you need it. The materials are really in depth and give you chance to build loads of mini-projects using a range of languages. You also get a lot of practice papers for the Microsoft exam.
The second part of the course is the most valuable as you build two full-stack applications, with full support from someone who has worked in the industry, has lots of experience and who pushes you to improve your work. These projects are what companies are looking for, and it’s what most of my interviewers wanted to talk about.
The course is definitely worth the money. I came in with a decent amount of knowledge, a portfolio and a few projects, but I’d been struggling to get a job. I didn’t have much difficulty securing one by the end of the course because of the standard of the projects and the amount of knowledge that I’d gained.
The only caveat is that the job guarantee is not a ‘placement’. The reality is that the recruitment team redo your CV and send you links to job adverts each week (which is really helpful because there is only so much trawling you can do by yourself), but you do still need to search out your own opportunities, contact recruiters, send out applications and interview.
Overall, I’m really happy that I did this course and thank you to Andre, Paddy and Jade for changing my career!
S. M.
I did a IT technician traineeship which was £595, and essentially prepares you for an entry level role as an IT technician, and you gain the CompTIA A+ certification from this which is worth £320ish in the UK. So value for money is great, considering you get a job guarantee or you're money back! It was advertised as doable in 6-8 weeks, but in reality it took me about 10 months (I'm sure it's different for everyone) and took a lot of dedication and hard work. If you're interested in IT with no real experience (like I was) and have the drive to self study and push through the hundreds of hours of online videos/questionnaires, then this is definitely the course for you. This is in no way to put anyone off, but just to understand that this isn't a quick win and an easy way to get into IT, you will have to work hard. All of that aside, the support team at IT career switch are great, the recruiters are excellent, they will transform your CV into a very professional and viable way to present your learned IT skills. All staff we're very helpful and friendly, a special thanks to Ralph Margo as he was a particular legend during my final CompTIA exams, it's always nice to have people on your side. I'm now working for a multi-academy trust in the South West and have been at my new job for the last week and a half in IT support, and it's great! In summary, if you're prepared to work hard and dedicate a good chunk of your days for months on end to learning the core skills of an IT Technician - then go for it! IT career switch are legitimate and affordable.
R. C.
Lots of information to be absorbed. I know a lot more about modern IT than I did a year ago. The Live Labs were the most useful part of the course and hopefully will be a selling point in any job interview.
G. A.
My experience with IT Career Switch has been nothing but positive. The way the course is structured allows for easy access and the ability to learn in a pace that suits you. With the addition of the support of the mentors (In my case Leigh) have been extremely helpful and supportive especially when I have failed the internal exam. I've been sent useful extra materials and advice on how to pass it. They really value their students and are focused on their success.
Many thanks to Jade, my recruitment agent, who prepared me for the interviews phase. Worth to mention is the fact that on the 21st of January I've passed the CompTIA A+ exam and one month later I started my first job in IT.
I would highly recommend them for anyone wanting to up-skill, re-train or take a course to change career as it was in my case.
M. T.
I completed the Coding Traineeship course with them and now have a developer job. The course is well structured and enjoyable. you have access to an experienced tutor during the training and a recruitment expert to help you find work when you've completed it. Doing this course was hands down the best decision I have ever made.
G. S.
1. The course in general is very good. A lot of theory which is great if you want to learn but it lacks in providing practical knowledge(it does provide some but it needs more real world, although someone would argue that different issues appear in different companies). It can be improved by adding videos that show more practical real world stuff. For a beginner IT technician I think it is more than enough because companies will train you on site on specific things that they want you to do.
2. The final exam with them before going to practice-labs is a bit dodgy/tricky, I felt that many questions are on purpose made to fail, some questions didn't make sense and for some other questions the correct answer could be more than 1, maybe the person preparing those question was in a rush.(?)
3. The practice labs website which is supposed to give you some practical knowledge is very good in theory and the stuff that you learn there are great but the website itself is EXTREMELY SUPER SLOW, it lags a HUGE lot.
3.They claim a 12 weeks job placement, I NEVER received a single phone call from recruiter/company claiming reference to IT Career Switch; thus I have no experience with their internal referral(if such exists). I got a job completely on my own and I applied for that job completely on my own.(they usually send you a bunch of links for jobs to apply every week and the job that I got wasn't from one of those links).
4. One of the good things is that they improved my CV and showed me how to improve my LinkedIn profile although there were visual imperfections which I later fixed e.g. spaces between words and paragraphs.
*I HIGHLY recommend the IT Technician course, I found it very informative and I really enjoyed the videos.
*They were fast to reply to my emails most of the time within the same day.
*One last thing, don't expect to finish this course very soon, this course will take time and you will realize it as soon as you get into the Network+ course, it takes reading and paying attention and revising.
*At the time I enrolled there were 7 total courses for the IT Technician Traineeship with 697 videos of 166 hours and 16 minutes in total. (I checked their website recently and I saw that they have changed some things and now the courses are 6 in total). So it is still a very long and intensive course.
Is it worth it? -Now that I have found a job I can say YES 100%. One of the best life choices I've made.
K. T.
Good experience overall , a LOT of various courses and work to put in ,found the courses to be generally excellent.
The livelabs and practice exams are excellent , do well on these and the A++ exam is pretty straightforward.
My career advisor was Faye who kept in regular contact , was very supportive and probably the star of show, sorted out my Linkedin profile , CV and helped with cover letters, interviews and a list of vacancies in my area
Y. K.
I decided i wanted to change my career after working in previous industry for the last 7 years and after evaluation i decided the world of tech was for me and came across IT career switch.
Everyone i deal with, were courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Special shout out to my tutor Leigh, who was great throughout the entire process, was always there to answer any questions and provided great support.
However, be under no disillusions, this course is a challenge and you must be prepared to put in some serious hard work & time. Especially if you are a novice like me. For instance the A+ courses aren't too difficult to grasp, however they do talk about some really outdated topics i felt. The icd1 & networking courses require real persistence and i had to go over them a few times to fully grasp and even then i still don't know them 100%. However the most arduous courses we're the Windows 7 & 10 modules for a few reasons. Firstly, i personally felt they were extremely long winded, especial windows 7 and the courses a little dry so it was hard to concentrate, maybe it was me but that's just my opinion. Secondly the content focused heavily on an enterprise environment which can be hard to grasp as my only experience is personal, sure I've used Win 10 in a work environment but never to the level discussed in the modules.
My tips would be to use different content and not just the modules - YouTube, practise questions etc. The practise labs are very valuable to solidify your knowledge.
Finally the internal exam is a real challenge, this particular exam took some serious effort to pass so before you take it prepare and prepare again - unless you have photographic memory like Mike Ross!
I have completed all the modules, passed the internal exam and have just passed my 1001 so nearly over the line.
Please be aware if you are not prepared to really put in the time and effort then do not bother, especially if you are a novice like i was. The recommended time i believe is 8 weeks and its taken me far longer!
Thanks once again to Leigh and the whole team, looking forward to finishing/passing my 1002 and starting my new role/career!
Edit: Both exams are now passed!!!
M. A.
I wanted to restart my IT career but not quite sure where to start, then come along IT Career Switch. It almost sound too good to be true but when spoke with them explaining what I want, I was reassured that they are the best in helping people kickstart their career in IT. That was exactly what I got from them. Excellent customer service anytime I wish to get in touch. Excellent support throughout my course, exam preparation and finally landing my role just after a couple of weeks of passing my exam
a.
I started studying back in May 2020, passed year one in April 21 and have been lucky enough to be picky about what work i take - I will be starting a position on £30k in June, much higher than i expected.
Still two more years on my course but its fair to say I'm very happy with my investment. Really glad I took the leap to changing industries!
Course content is good and, from the amount of offers ive had, must provide a good and broad spectrum of knowledge that makes you very attractive to employers.
K. P.
If you are in doubt about making a career change, here's a piece of advice for you - dream big and go for it.
IT Career Switch has been an absolute life changer for me therefore the best investment I've ever made.
Special thanks to Leigh, who provided fantastic service and best possible advice, without it I wouldn't have passed CompTIA A+.
Also to recruitment advisor Ann, who went above and beyond to support me and keep me motivated all the way through. I have been placed into IT support role within a month of completing the course.
Yes, it has been challenging, but I would 100% do it again and thanks all the teams again!
S. A.
' 5 Stars! '
5 Stars! Delivered on all the promises made.
The course itself was ideal for me as I was able to complete it at my own pace, fitting it in around my current job role and commitments. It is certainly challenging so you need to put the work in but that made it even more rewarding when you eventually sit and pass your exams. Leigh was extremely helpful when preparing me for my A+ exams, offering useful tips and revision tools.
When it came to the recruitment phase, Clive was also extremely helpful and responsive completing a lot of the leg work for me recommending suitable positions to apply for. So much so that I was offered an exciting IT Technician role within 3 days of making my first application which I'm looking forward to getting started with in a month’s time!!
The wider team were both responsive and helpful throughout the process. If you’re thinking about changing careers into the world of IT, I couldn't recommend them enough.
J. B.
Provided good training, with adequate exam preparation and practice, and the recruiter I was assigned was absolutely spectacular and incredibly supportive.
J. F.
Great course, well put together. Staff are very helpful especially one named Toni. i had peronal issues that was effecting my studies and Toni helped me to resolve the issues i had. Vey helpful and Kind!
T. M.
I’ve always had great passion for IT but I did not have any experience and didn’t know where to start. I researched IT career switch and enrolled with them. Courses are very intense, tutors are good, I especially loved and was very engaged with Networking + tutor. They also provide a lot of study material and practice lab experience (plus the CompTIA Core 1 and 2 practice exams) which is extremely helpful for the actual exam. Prepare yourself to study 8 different courses and their final practice test is very hard but I have to say I have learned A LOT! I do believe that the final practice test you need to pass before the CompTIA A+ exams is harder than it is advertised, and I have never prepared more for a test in my life. And you need to pass it to get to the CompTIA A+.
All the staff, from my personal tutor Leigh, to everyone in company I’ve been in contact were extremely kind, prompt in replying and supportive overall.
It was such a good decision to go with these guys, as I would not be able to push myself, even though it was hard at times.
They helped me find my first job in IT and I am continuing my cyber security journey.

Very in depth course, easy to follow materials, if some part seem repititive because its the best way of learning ( well for me anyway ) , the recuitment staff are really supportive and well spoken. would highly recommend
T. L.
This is a pretty great course for those looking to get into the IT field. The coding course took me three(ish) months to complete working on it full time, and I was in the recruitment phase for around 6 weeks before I was offered a job, so it does take some time and a fair bit of commitment to get through, but the results are worth it. I came at this from a short teaching career with degrees in literature and little to no prior coding experience, so a real change of pace for me.
All of the employees at IT career switch that I interacted with were great to work with and always there if I needed help with anything.
Could you learn all of these things by yourself? Absolutely, but the course offers a structured learning path with tutors to help you along the way, and once you're finished with the course you're supported in your job search by the recruitment team. Paddy called me a number of times to discuss my projects & offered both stylistic and technical advice, and Amber called every week during the recruitment phase to check in and offer advice for interviews.
Altogether it's been a wholly positive experience & I would recommend it if you're looking to change career.

Having completed the first stage of my Network Engineer Traineeship and been placed in my first role, I am very happy with the process and help IT Career Switch has provided. While parts of the course were challenging, it is structured in a way that helps build your knowledge along the way. Would recommend!

Having just completed the first stage of the Cybersecurity Traineeship and my A+ exams I have found a great role in a new industry. The team at IT Career Switch have been fantastic and the course content has been very relevant to what I am currently working with. I was a little apprehensive about starting a self study course in a field of which I had little prior knowledge. However, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the video classes very well suited to my learning style, and the live labs helped me put what I learned into action.
Highly recommended!

Tanya was very helpful and took her time to explain the process to me and all the support there is to complete my course, Thank you so much Tanya...you have really taken me out of panic mode

I have recently finished my traineeship with IT Career Switch and will soon be starting my new job which I am incredibly excited for. Throughout the entire process so far I have always had all the assistance and learning materials I need. Knowing that someone is always just an email or phone call away if I need any assistance is a huge relief. Everyone has been so friendly and professional right from the start. For anyone who is looking to start a new career in IT I highly recommend IT Career Switch!
G. I.
I was skeptical when I first joined. I had never done any IT ever, and I wasn’t sure whether I could really get a job out of it. It took me 8 months to pass my final CompTIA A+ exam but I did, and was offered a job yesterday as a Junior IT Helpdesk (3 weeks from the end of my exam). The guys in IT Career Switch are really helpful, they were really quick replying to my emails if I needed anything. So yeah, no complaints and great experience!

I have signed up for a course/ job placement program with IT career switch in about 1 year ago. The training materials & hands on experience were of very high standard. The course proved to be challenging but I eventually managed to overcome the hurdle with putting a lot of hard work onto it and gained my A+ certificate . It did not even last one month after having my A+ certificate that I found a permanent position in a respectful company by the help of IT career switch recruitment team.I certainly recommend anyone who wants to move into IT field to start with these guys.
J. L.
Managed the career switch. Good courses. Well recognised and respected name when speaking to prospective employers. Proceeded in my own time.
T. O.
Offered lots of resources for my exam, along with covering other areas of IT to help build a solid foundation to learn from. I would recommend for anyone wanting to start in IT.
They helped after the course was completed with advice and resources to help find the role I needed to progress. My tutor was also able to give useful resources and clarify areas of the course when I asked.
They were slow to respond at times but overrall I recieved great service especially from the recruitment side.
I would recommend looking for all the resources for the exams that you can find and not relying solely on the resources given by the course, as they naturally do not cover everything.
M. Z.
IT career Switch is a great new start to go into IT. The provide great material for the price which includes the exam fees. They have a great team to help through-out the course and recruitment. I was able to land a job and I will be continuing to do my cyber security course with UT Career Switch.

With the State-of-the art, robust and stable Information Technology Infrastructure platform for extensive and practical studies, coupled with experienced and seasoned set of knowledgeable and articulate set of instructors, combined with highly focused and student-centric Administrative team, functioning effectively and with sensitivity in order to bring out the very best performance in each and every of their students, the IT Career Switch has clearly distinguished itself from its peer. I therefore strongly recommend this institution to anyone interested in making their IT career switch move today.

Several months ago when I started I wanted a career change into something challenging with greater opportunities. Now, I am working with a great company as an IT Administrator gaining experience and preparing to become a cybersecurity analyst.
Although the learning curve was high and daunting at first, with hard work it paid off and IT Career Switch helped me move into a new career.
J. E.
I received great service from everyone that was involved in process of helping me change career direction.
If you are serious about making a switch into the IT industry then I would highly recommended the services of IT Career Switch.
Enrolling onto the course was simple and you are assigned a tutor from the start that you can call on if you need assistance with any of the content. There is a lot of content to cover so make sure you are prepared to really put the time in as it provides a fantastic knowledge base to help get you through your initial tests and then onto your official certification.
The live labs portion of the course is especially helpful as you can try out your IT skills in controlled environments to really get a feel for the concepts you have been studying.
I was provided with a wealth of exam preparation material so was really confident when it came to having to sit the official CompTIA exams. Once certified you move over to the recruitment phase and again the team here provided a great service.
I have already received an offer and accepted a new role within a week of job searching, and will now move onto the next stage of working towards achieving my CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification.
Thank you IT Career Switch for helping me start a new career in IT.
L. T.
Took this course through 2020. Insanely good value for the price point. Had contact with a tutor the whole time who would answer all questions I had and cleared up anything I struggled with. The course taught me more than enough to get my foot on the IT career ladder. Would recommend for anybody looking to get into the IT space.

Due to the pandemic my previous role was made redundant and I decided to change careers. I was abit skeptical at first about buying an online course, but after reading the reviews I decided to go ahead with IT Career Switch.
The course itself was very informative and intense. So I would only recommend this if you generally have an interest in technology and IT. When preparing for the final exam I did use other resources as well, just so that I had a good understanding about the subjects.
Once I passed my exams I was handed over to Faye, my recruitment specialist, and she was great. She kept in touch with me on a weekly basis to see how things were going and give me further information on how to prepare for interviews. I also hate writing CVs and they gave my CV a complete professional make over!
I've now managed to secure an IT support role after 4 weeks of completing the course and look forward to the next part of my traineeship.
One improvement I would suggest is maybe having more practical simulations, just so you have more hands on experience.
J. B.
I found this course very well-rounded, it includes all the fundamental concepts you will need for a career in web development. I completed another full-stack coding Bootcamp before IT Career Switch which was a lot more expensive and in my opinion, was not as extensive in the area of dynamic data manipulation. I also had great mentorship from Paddy when I was creating the portfolio projects. As well as the low cost of the course, they have a recruitment team that helps you find a job on course completion. With the other course I completed before IT Career Switch, I was just cut off and left to fend for myself. Thanks to IT Career Switch I now have a job as a software developer in a reputable company.
V. V.
I was relocated to UK last February. I have three years of work experience in IT Support but when I sent my CV I was not short listed anywhere. Then I decided to join Network engineer traineeship with IT CareerSwitch. My aim is to get the placement anywhere. But this course helped me to polish my knowledge, skills and get certified easily with in a short span of time.
I appreciate the hard work of Maria, Leigh, Toni, Amber and Phil who had equal important role in helping me to pursue my career.
Thanks
N. P.
After redundancy in September last year I didn’t want to just get straight back in to another job I wasn’t passionate about. Researching entry level positions in software development I was a little disheartened at the entry requirements, specifically degrees and experience, neither of which I had.
I came across an advert for IT Career Switch and was intrigued by the job guarantee program. It seemed too good to be true at the time but I figured I didn’t have much to lose.
6 months later and I start my new job as a junior developer! I can’t thank the team enough, everyone was so supportive every step of the way.
If you’re committed and passionate about learning new things you have every chance of success. Getting to this point involved a lot of hard work and determination, but if I can do it there’s no reason you can’t.
c. m.
I would highly recommend this course if you have a genuine interest in IT. The assistance during my time has been amazing and I cannot thank Leigh enough who has helped me during my study. Leigh's support has been amazing, he provided a detailed study plan which significantly helped me. The course material is thorough and detailed, as a visual learner the video tutorials plus practice questions are significantly helpful.
It is important to highlight that this course is tough and to succeed effectively, you must be prepared to put in the work and the time. This was highlighted to me from the start so I was mentally prepared. The amazing support I received is worth noting, as you do not feel on your own and can constantly ask questions. Thank you IT Career Switch and in particular Leigh, I cannot recommend your fabulous service enough.
S. T.
The course was easy to follow provided you are a self motivated person. It is a lot to learn if you are completely new to the subject. Once I was certified, Jade Kelly was very helpful in assisting me with my CV, references and finding a job. I have been placed within a week! Thank you for providing me with the knowledge to allow me to start my new career journey.
E. R.
I asked for an extension after having a very rough year, and Dave from Student Care was extremely professional and understanding. I was granted the extension I'd asked for with very little trouble. Great service.
D. G. C.
It was a great experience with regards with studying the material online. Tutor was very helpful at answering questions that I had and providing resources that helped with building knowledge towards the exams. Furthermore, Ann from the recruitment team helped me with applying for jobs and what I found very beneficial was the interview preparations resources that she sent me. These helped me build my knowledge of what I needed to do to prepare for an interview properly.
A. D.
Everything went excellent, good people, good communication.
Specifically Ms Morgan. She did a splendid job, helped me out alot during my job hunt, very dedicated. She deserves a raise big time.
Note to anyone giving the CompTIA A+ exam:
I personally found Professor Messer videos on Youtube highly benificial and was a great source to study for my A+ exams.
Other than that, the Live Labs provided by ITCareerSwitch have an exam section which i used to practice for exams.
I also used ExamCompass A+ exam tests for free for more advanced practice. I felt ExamCompass questions to be more in-line with the actual questions i got when i sat for the exam.
M. N.
A great experience. I learnt so much, and do not regret my decision to sign up with IT Career Switch for a second. After completing the study material, I then built two projects and a portfolio website, and I am now loving my new role as a Software Implementation Specialist.
T. M.
I couldn't recommend IT Career Switch enough. My tutor Leigh was fantastic and really did support me throughout all of the training. Also a special thanks to the recruitment team for finding me a new job! I am so happy with my new career that the only regret I have is that i didn't start sooner!
One thing I would say to anyone thinking about joining is that you should be prepared to put the work in, but its definitely worth it in the end!
C. I.
Career changer, their support and guidance has been superb.
I've completed their IT Technician Traineeship I really enjoyed the programme all the way through and its been a great experience.
The team were always on hand to give help and advice, especially when preparing and sitting the CompTIA exams.
Top rate support and advice right from the start, I've gained the CompTIA A+ qualification. In addition their support with my CV they helped me get the work position in IT Support.
Would recommend this programme to anyone looking for a new career in IT.
Thank you so much.
P. S.
Excellent course and great material provided. Asked for an extension on my course as I work 2 jobs and Toni Smith got me an extra 2 months extension.
V. T.
Really pleased with the experience. Wanted to change the career, did not know much about IT and comprehensive IT Technician courses of IT Career Switch have given not only knowledge to pass A+ exams, but helped to determine what path in the career I should take.
Video courses: CompTIA A+ tutor was all over the place. Before taking exams, I purchased Meyers book. Without it I wouldn't be able to make much sense. However, lots of other people liked that particular tutor. My favourite was a lady from Network+ course though.
As during any other studies, be ready to do some extra researches. Just videos are not enough.
Internal exams: There was lots to know and memorize, but it wasn't that bad.
LiveLabs: Really loved them. Can practice some stuff outside the tasks given and simply see how servers, for example, look.
A+ Mock Tests: Pain. Majority of questions have multiple answers (unspecified how many) and some are not making sense at all. I'd recommend to double check all the questions in the mock tests (I reported wrong answers) and re-work them. Ended up memorising answers to pass. There was no other way.
Recruitment process: Amber was great and helpful. Tough times looking for a job and it was good to feel support. I have recently gotten a job offer, that I am very excited about.
Result: treat IT Technician course of IT Career Switch as an entrance door into IT. Be ready to devote more time than estimated, if you work full-time. However, I needed only 5-6 months to get certified. Another couple months to get a job offer (and it's during pandemic).
Thank you, IT Career Switch!
C. L.
I had an excellent experience with IT Career Switch. I signed up for the Cybersecurity course back in July 2020. I have successfully managed to get my CompTIA A+ certification in February 2021 and now signed the contract for my first IT job (as an IT support). I will now continue learning towards my Cybersecurity certification.
My recruitment specialist has helped my throughout the process of finding a job, I highly appreciate the support she has given me. Thank you!
R. B.
I am most of the way through the coding course provided by IT Career Switch. My experience has been overly excellent, and better than I expected.
Like many other students who have messaged me on LinkedIn, I was also hesitant as the package as a whole seems “too good to be true” but what you get is what I like to call a “well structured syllabus” where your success is entirely dependant on your own drive!
I would say if you have had some form of recreational coding experience in the past (in my case I had), the process may be a bit easier. I can imagine the process takes about 25% longer if you are brand new to coding.
For the exam you are well prepared with past papers, and a dedicated instructor. Andre was my instructor, who was extremely quick at responding to emails.
When you get to the final projects, your tutor welcomes phone calls to go through things with great availability also, so you always feel supported. You really do get modern industry level experience, and guided to have success in a professional career. I am working with Paddy on these, and he is a great help.
All in all I would recommend the process.
M. M.
Highly recommend IT Career Switch, I was very well informed at every stage throughout the entire process. They were very professional and personable. I enjoyed my experience, having come from a teaching background with very little knowledge. Passed my CompTIA A+ exams on my first try! Special thanks to Leigh and Ralph for their support and much needed guidance.
I got a job offer within two weeks of becoming certified with Amber’s help who was superb in the recruitment stage.
R. B.
Very flexible with working through the course, could work on it however much you wanted. Tutor was very helpful throughout and gave good feedback on the projects.
Recruitment side also really helpful and managed to land a job in web development after a couple of months.
R. O.
This time last year it was impossible for me to imagine that I could be a full stack Developer, but here I am, a professional developer with a new career. IT Career Switch were great, they made that possible, if you're nervous please don't be. It's hard work, it requires a lot of dedication, but it can be done! Good luck!
C. L.
I would highly recommend IT Career Switch if you are looking to make the move into IT. The course was thorough and provided a range of experience that is attractive to prospective employers.
The course itself is well taught but it is all independent study so don't expect to have your hand held. It is up to you to learn what you need to. Having said that my tutor, Leigh, was always on hand to help and replied promptly with a thorough explanation every time. As others have said the internal assessment is indeed difficult, especially when compared to the A+. There were several questions on there that I had absolutely no recollection studying during the course. Fortunately it is open book so these weren't a major issue.
I found the livelabs helpful to cement some of the concepts talked about in the course but the practice exams were a different story. They appear to have been written by a non native English speaker which lead to some confusion when answering questions where grammar and context are important. They also appeared to contain questions that were not relevant to the syllabus. I ended up buying further practice tests in order to help me prepare for the A+.
The recruitment stage was not exactly as I had expected. I was under the impression that I would have interviews arranged for me by my recruiter. This did not happen however. In all fairness I was told from the off by my recruiter that they did not have many opportunities with their partnered companies due to the effects of the ongoing pandemic. So instead I was sent a selection of links to jobs for to apply for each week. My recruiter also phoned me each week to see how I was getting on with my job search. Despite a slow start I eventually got several interviews and was offered two positions which goes to show the value of the courses.
Overall I can't really fault it. When you deduct the cost of the certificates It works out at around £400 for the rest of the courses, the recruitment and cv writing. In my opinion this is a steal and has already got me the job I wanted. If the second part of my traineeship goes as planned it may turn out to be the bargain of the century!
J. C.
Great opportunity to start a career in IT. I've just completed the cybersecurity course and am about to begin my second job placement.
h. z.
The advisors and tutors were very friendly and helpful.
The courses offered were very well covered and any questions I had were answered in detail by my tutor.
I would highly recommend IT Career Switch as the first stop for anyone looking to get into IT.
R. C.
The course was really informative and interesting. Many useful videos and a practice lab to get familiar with different operating systems and tools.
And they helped me find an entry-level IT job in London with a nice salary.
Highly recommended!
S. M.
Enrolled onto the Cyber Security program back in August 2019. Finished the first 8 courses that qualified me for an entry level role by January 2020 and had a full time job by March.
The guys here have supported me throughout the process, always on hand to respond to emails and assisted with the recruitment phase as well as formatting my CV. Would definitely recommend.
R. S.
Overall, I had a great time working with IT Career Switch. Whenever I had a problem or a general query the customer support has always answered my questions and tended to my needs.
About the process itself, I would say it's quite robust and aims to get you ready for work for the field you've applied for, I did have doubts when I learned that I would be going through a Windows 7 course and ITIL certification. Windows 7 is outdated, unsupported and rarely used for anything these days, and now with Windows 11 being released it doesn't make much sense to me to have to go through the outdated operating system features and old ways of management, it's like enforcing Windows Vista courses when windows 10 was coming out, but it was required. ITIL falls into the management and development of services which 9/10 times is not useful for people who are just getting started in IT like me, there was a lack of choice when it came to choosing which course should be studied and which course shouldn't based on the specific field you'd like to work in, however I am pleased that I have gone through with it, studied all the necessary content and passed the traineeship.
For Improvements, I recommend allowing a certain level of flexibility when it comes to choosing the courses, not so much enforcing it but allowing the learner to explain what it is they would like to do and get into, and based on that choose the courses for them, more tailored to their needs. I understand if you lack resources or it goes against the contract but this would be an ideal improvement.
CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ were all great courses to study. Cisco course concerning management of Cisco devices was also fun to study. Windows 10 course was also very informative and enjoyable.
After Passing the CompTIA A+ exams, the process of employment was very simple and quick. lots of flexibility with what job you'd like to apply for and professional CV rewamp.
C. A.
If you are serious about career change, determined and dedicated then sign up for IT career Switch.
This is a very honest review. Apologies for long review, just wanted to cover all the important parts. Before I start a brief info about my background- I always had a good passion for IT and wanted to turn that into a career for long time, but due to financial commitments one thing led to another and couldn't quit my job.
Fortunately due to Pandemic I was made redundant, this helped me to pursue IT career..I could afford to study full time and get certified - qualified.
After a very detailed research, I selected IT career switch. They were the only ones, who did not pressurise me to sign up for the course. The information given at the beginning(before you sign up) is very use full; Pay very detailed attention on everything they say. Essentially they have broken it down into 4 steps:
Step 1 - This step took me longest to finish. In this step there were lots of courses included in the bundle of online study. Make sure to take notes, as there will be quizzes at the end of each modules. Once you have finished all the courses, there is an internal exam that requires you to pass in 5 attempts, in order for you to proceed to next step. This internal exam was really good, it helped prepare for the theoretical part of the A+ exam. It was tough, but relevant and made in such a way that it covers all key objectives from the exam. I would advice that you score at least 80-85% in these internal tests.
Step 2 - In this step you will gain practical experience on various virtual machines. Good thing about this, is that when you apply for jobs, you still have access to Live Labs, this allowed me to go and practice on things which came up in job specs. Gain confidence through these labs and make sure to utilise it wisely.
Step 3- The real thing !! Comptia A+ is a two part exam, In order to gain Comptia A+ certification, you need to pass both parts. IT career switch will release voucher for the exam when you are ready through all the above steps. I did find this exam a bit tough, as I did not have any IT experience. Took few attempts but passed them in the end :)
There is help available from online tutor (Leigh) as an when needed. Once you are officially certified, recruitment team kicks in. They look at your resume and refresh it. I was given a recruitment specialist (Clive), who would help me with queries and help me with links to apply for jobs once every week.
Due to pandemic, job market is very tough. Hence I also was applying on my own, in local job market. I also started using LinkedIn (very very powerful), if you have not used it yet, please make use of it, fantastic tool to grow your network in IT industry and also recruiters. Fortunately I got offered job in 8 weeks of passing the Comptia A+ exam.
Now I am working as a IT Help desk support, absolutely enjoying myself in this position.
Step 4 - This is the step, if you opted for Cyber security. I have yet to start this step !!
Long story short, sign up for ITCareerSwitch, if you are serious and determined to study. They will give you all the tools, help is there if needed...just ask them, they are all very friendly and professional lot.
Good Luck !!
S. I.
After finishing the first part of my course with IT Career switch and getting CompTIA A+ Cerified, I sarted a new job in IT. They provide great courses that do more than just help you pass an exam, they prepare for the wide range of situations you will face when working in IT, especially in a helpdesk type role.
In addition to this are the live labs which give you practical experience to complement the courses. After some exam prep, there is an official exam which will lead to widely recognized certifications.
Upon completing the exam, you will receive guidance in finding a job. My recruitment coach was Phil Carstens, and he provided advice and links to help prepare me for interviewing. He also found relevant jobs from various job boards, and also reached out to his network of contacts. It was actually through one of Phil's contacts that I found my current job.
I've just received access to the next stage of my course which will be cybersecurity. I can't wait to dive in.
These courses are self-study so require hard work and self motivation, but there are tutors, and they answer emails very quickly. It's hard work, but it pays off.

'Coding Traineeship'
Overview
I recently completed IT Career Switch's Coding Traineeship, which took me just under 1 year to complete.
I'd say this course is worthwhile if you are totally green to computer programming, and are looking for someone to give you all the stuff you need to get your foot in the door of the tech industry in the next 12-18 months (part-time), and to offer advice when you get stuck. For someone with existing programming experience and/or the self-motivation to find out what they need to learn on their own, I'd say that the course offers convenience, but is pricier than doing it on your own.
The Course Itself
I wouldn't go as far as to say that IT Career Switch's website misleads you on what you will be doing during the course, but it doesn't make it clear enough that the majority of the course contents (Steps 1, 2, and 3) are third-party:
Step 1 has you complete 4 video courses on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. These are third-party American courses, the contents of which are good but are not dissimilar to the types of courses you can get on platforms such as Udemy.
Step 2 gives you a 1-year subscription to Codecademy and has you complete The Web Development Career Path, as well as standalone courses in PHP, C#, Python and Java. Again, good content (far more engaging than the videos from Step 1) but nothing that cannot be accessed independently from this course. I really like the Codecademy platform and think it is a great learning tool. The only caveat is that though you learn the syntax of PHP, C#, Python and Java, the Web Development Career Path is JavaScript focused, so you don't get any experience in using these languages in the context of full-stack development (aside from PHP during the portfolio projects in Stage 4).
Step 3 involves doing practice exams for the Microsoft 70-480 until you get a high mark consistently enough that you are likely to pass the exam, and then sitting the exam proper. Again, the practice exams are readily available online and the Microsoft Exam can be applied for on the Microsoft website. There are some aspects of the exam, such as Web Workers, Caching, Storage, and WebSocket that aren't covered in any of the previous training materials. I think this stage could be improved with some additional training materials, before you sit the practice exams.
The remaining steps of the course are where you get the actual benefits of using IT Career Switch:
Step 4 involves completing two portfolio projects allocated by your IT Career Switch assigned mentor. You must complete the first before you get access to the second, and each one does test your programming knowledge and ability. They are fairly freeform with regards to what languages/frameworks you can use which can be both good and bad depending on your aptitude. I'd say make the most of these projects to get some hands on experience with some real-world code.
I would say this stage in particular is what you will struggle to replicate as an independent learner. The constructive criticism that your mentor provides is invaluable in helping you grow as a developer. They point out things in your code that you may have overlooked, and ways in which your solution can be improved, and why. The only downside is that it can sometimes take longer than desired for your mentor to get back to you. They are extremely constructive and helpful when they do, but due to the number of trainees that IT Career Switch have at any one time, you are sometimes waiting for a few days for an update.
Step 5 is where you get your CV rebuilt and get help looking for a job. No complaints from me about this step. The CV rebuild is tailored for the tech industry and my allocated careers advisor was extremely helpful and consistent with their communication. They sent me a list of 10-20 jobs to apply to each week, and followed up with a phone call to check on my progress with the companies I had applied for. They also sent on preparation advice for interviews, and some useful notes for tailoring your LinkedIn profile for development roles.

The student care team have been very helpful throughout a challenging year to help ensure that I was able to get the resources and support I needed to complete my training despite any hardships. Tanya has been very responsive and has always gone above and beyond to ensure I have what I need to focus on my studies.
C. G.
I find that the student support is always available and easy to reach, I’m hoping to finish the course quickly and start my new career.
Could not have made a better choice.
P. S.
I have no words to thank them. I am a real person and have got through IT Career 1 year traineeship.
I can assure they are a serious company and I have felt trust throughout the entire process. Specially with Paddy Evans, my instructor, that had pushed my limits and helped me to really be suitable for competing for a position.
It was a painful process to be honest, but in a very good way, and it is really worth it the investment and all the nights and weekends finishing the projects.
Withouth the very strict supervise from Paddy I wouldn't be writing this very happy feedback for getting a job.
I would like to thank my other instructor Alfred Balukidi for all the valuable and detailed feedbacks on my progress as well!
A special thank to Samantha Stuart too for all the phone calls and career advices that saved me in the end. And thanks to Ralph Margo as well for all support that I needed since the beggining.
I hope you continue helping people to accomplish their career goals and thank you very much.
Best wishes,
Poliana Y S Morishigue

This is a completely honest review about the course in my behalf. I’ve given a four star review as I feel there’s faults on both ends. I have one month left to finish the final 2 modules and I honestly can’t see it happening, unfortunately.
Firstly the staff on hand are very good, professional, extremely quick to respond to emails/ answering any queries. That I can’t fault!
Unfortunately, for me the reason I aren’t giving it a better review is the course length and which it states you can complete the course within a 8-12 week time period. Forgive me if I’m wrong but, I’m fairly certain that was the time frame given for full time study. For me I feel that’s not very accurate. In my honest opinion.
At the the start of the lockdown I came to a loose end in life and was looking to invest in myself for a better career. So I was jobless and spent a solid 3-4 months studying the course and I didn’t get anyway near completing it. Understand, to have any luck with completing this course you have to be making notes on all the course/ writing down the slides. At the end of each module you have to complete a 50-60 question quiz then once the modules are finished you have to complete a 200-250 question quiz. Without copying the text on the slides it is impossible to get past these quizzes.
The first two COMP TIA courses was do-able, definitely. The tutor is the best of the bunch without a doubt. However, the networking course is where the troubles began. Some of these modules have endless slides and some of these slides are EXTREMELY long/ rammed full of text.
Unfortunately for me, I think that’s where I lost all motivation with the course.
I picked another job for financial reasons and I neglected the course for a long time and in all honestly I’ve left it too late to try and pick up the rest and this is my fault entirely. As you have one year to finish.
I feel the course is definitely do-able but not in the time stated. But you should be able to finish the course within a year if it’s a priority. If you’re looking into this, it’s not a scam. Be prepared to be sat at your computer for a solid amount of time. The learning is extremely intense. But people are always on hand to answer any questions and spear you on.

My experience with IT Career Switch has been good so far. The staff from IT Career switch are very polite and they have been helpful from the start up to the point of landing my first IT job as a Supoort Engineer within a month of passing my CompTIA A+.Special thanks to Ann who helped supported me in my job search, CV set up, Cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. She also outlined the importance of networking with IT professionals. She was always there to answer my questions even when I was down after a few job rejections, she was so positive and I picked myself up and got a job offer not long after. You will need a lot of time, devotion, self motivation and patience to do this. The course outlines and resources they set out are for you to achieve your goals, not for them but YOU ( I used other resources from Prof Messer and YouTube videos) . I'm glad I chose IT Career Swtich and I look forward to starting the next step with them to achieve my goal to become a Cybersecurity Analyst . I would recommend them to anyone who is hoping to get into IT.
T. W.
I definitely recommend IT Career Switch. During the 1st lockdown I was made redundant and decided to completely change career to IT. Now I'm a Broadband Tech Expert with Sky, a job I'm really happy with and I wouldn't have got without the knowledge I gained from my IT Career Switch course.
The only negative and the reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I was led to believe the course would take less time then it did. I think this is mainly because it took me a month to pass the internal exam. I found the internal exam more challenging than the CompTIA exam as the internal exam covered a lot more areas of IT.
Z. R.
There is a lot to take in during this course - especially if you don't have an IT background, or much prior knowledge of IT, like myself.
I would advise taking what spare time you have to really get stuck into watching the videos and doing the mini assessments. This can be a struggle if you have to work, as you don't always have the motivation / are too tired to look at the course after a long day.
The initial IT Career Switch assessment is quite challenging, as are the two official CompTIA exams but, with preparation, you might find that you actually quite enjoy them!
Leigh is helpful, and will issue reading material to help you further understand things. I wasn't sure if he was being a little condescending initially, but I realised that it's just his way and he means well.
I've recently started a job in a secondary school and, with no prior practical experience, it is challenging. I would advise trying to get practical experience somewhere before you are let loose in the world of IT. If that's not possible, try to get you hands on PC's /laptops hat you can take apart and have a dabble with, so that you have a feel for how things work in the real world.
The careers team have formatted my CV amazingly, for which I am very grateful.
R. F.
Good structure of the course (study and practice), the support is quickly and professional to respond and the recruiting process is easy.
A. S.
I just want to say many thanks to Ralph who is always there when you need him ( even when he’s on holiday) and Ann my recruiter - you are the superstar and you changed my life for better!
I would highly recommend IT Career Switch if you want to change your career! This traineeship was hard work but if you’re persistent and humble you’ll get your job in the IT industry! The traineeship is suitable for beginners and their Live Labs are invaluable and will help to prepare you for your future role!
Many thanks to the whole team!
Cheers!

I have given It Career Switch a 4 out of 5 as not perfect but still very good.
I would say the course is good value for the money you pay at least for the It cyber security course which is what I am doing. I have just passed the Comptia A+ Core 1 and on my way to to the Core 2 exam.
The material they give to study for the exam is good but you can get more study material online to further your understanding. But a word of warning the biggest hurdle of this course so far is the internal exams which is mixed of of both the core 1 and 2 topic and a further 5 other topics that you will nee to learn. The internal exam is not an easy feat like I thought it would be. You get 5 attempts to past the internal exam which you have to pass in order to move onto the next stage. I would advise to ask your tutor for additional study material. My Tutor was great with that, he gave me some third party study information to prepare for it although it did take on my 4th attempt to pass. Just make sure you study consistently and prepare your self by doing practice exams which you can find online. I would say this course is good for beginners to an extent. You still need to have have some experience using computers in your life which i'm sure most people have. for anyone who don't really use computers much then learning curve is allot harder.
I would like to thank my tutor Leigh and also Narishka for helping me with my studying so far.

Even if I'm currently employed as a full stack developer, I've been tasked a few times to assist in network design features.
Knowing only the basics, I thought it would help a lot if I knew more about network as a whole.
I decided to give IT Career Switch a go, recommended by a friend of mine.
The course went really well, especially got a lot of support from Leigh, giving clear guidance throughout the sessions.
This newfound knowledge will help me greatly in my future developments.
U. B.
I really appreciate their services. No doubt course is needed hard work and patience. I was out of course dead line for some reason as I contacted to customer office. Toni Smith responded me he represented my case in a good way that I got extension, Toni thanks again.
D. W.
I found all the resources that were available, incredibly useful. Whenever ai had any questions during the process Ralph was incredibly helpful.
When it came to recruitment, Anthony was positive throughout and dedicated to finding me work.
L. E.
A great choice for your web development studies. I've had the pleasure of dealing with Ralph who went above and beyond to help me out which I'm sure can't be said about some other online study offerings. I'd highly recommended them to anyone wanting to take the next step with their web development studies.
D.
Took the course, got a £25k salary job with no previous professional IT experience!
Be advised though, this course takes a lot of time and dedication to complete. It's a great service but only take this course if you have time available. At a minimum, I'd say the whole process will take 6 months.
N. S.
I started this traineeship in Feb 2020 and it was difficult. Self-study is inherently challenging. But the service provided by IT Career Switch was rarely the cause of my struggle. All the material you need is there. The tutors and other staff are all very polite, professional and helpful. And the web portal doesn't get in your way. I'd like to give special shout outs to my personal tutor, Leigh Johnson, and my Careers co-ordinator, Faye Emmerson. They were the staff I had the most correspondence with and they were at all times a credit to their company. If you need the services of a learning provider like this, IT Career Switch will deliver.
F. S.
Very pleased to have secured a job after studying this course and forever grateful to ITCS for enabling me to get my start in the tech industry. I aimed to complete the course in 3-4 months, in the end it took 8 months and I found a job within 4 weeks of applying.
D.
I would very highly recommend the services of IT Career Switch to anyone interested in starting a career within the IT industry regardless of your previous background or knowledge. I am currently studying for the Coding Traineeship and have almost completed step 1 - ready to move on to step 2. I have been assigned Leigh as my tutor, and, as other reviews have testified, this lovely gent is only an e-mail or call away and responds promptly and clearly (even on a late Sunday evening! - thanks Leigh : ) I have felt fully supported at all times and have great confidence that in a matter of months I will be embarking on the start of my IT career.
The course material is well thought out and presented via workbooks and / or video tutorials plus practice questions to help you review the material. What I would say, is that if you are embarking on any of these types of courses you must be prepared to put in the work and the time to succeed. Pay attention to the tutorials, take notes, ask questions, take some time to do examples on your own, acquire your own library of materials and study study study! These courses are the foundation and as such get you up and running and with a wonderful support behind you - they provide the tools but it's up to you how to use it. Thank you IT Career Switch and Leigh especially - I already have a couple of people in mind I can recommend your fabulous service to.
s. t.
I have now completed the IT Career Switch course and obtained my CompTIA A+ A long with a wealth of knowledge of networking, security, windows 7 & 10, Cisco and ITIL.
The experience has been fantastic and they supported me every step of the the way with the course material and then with the exams.
The CV they wrote for me was great and really captured the knowledge I had gained.
To also prove this works, only 3 weeks after completing the course I have landed my first IT job as a Techincal Support Engineer with no other IT experience.
I highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking of getting into IT, they have truly helped me get a start in the career I have always wanted.
Y. M.
IT Career switch has helped me to gain all the knowledge required to be a successful IT Technician
G. B.
My experience with IT career switch has been simply brilliant. I signed up and started in sept 2020 amidst ongoing UK lockdowns and so I think I was at an advantage in terms of being able to dedicate my time and energy to the training. Having read many reviews prior to signing up, I saw that most of the existing reviews emphasised a “only do this course if you are genuinely wanting to dedicate yourself and get into the IT industry” message.
Having now completed the 8 extensive courses (I really do mean extensive... 6 months in my case, at least 3 hrs a day), internal exams and the official certification exams, I can confirm that the reviews I read prior to sign up are 100% accurate. You need to dedicate a lot of time and energy, taking notes all the way. I would watch a 20 min video on one of the courses and that video would take me at least an hr to get through because of my note taking and going into YouTube to watch a video explaining what I had watched in more detail to better understand.
All in all, the process took me about 9/10 months to complete, and have now received a job offer. I look forward to starting the cyber security traineeship also.
A huge thank you to Leigh and Clive at IT career switch. Leigh was my personal contact whilst I was doing my training. He answered every question I had. Fully satisfied with the part he played in the process.
Clive is the careers advisor/my contact during the application process after I had completed the training. He was very quick with responding to my emails, in a very very detailed way. I felt as if he wasn’t just emailing because he had to but because he wanted you to be successful. I would often have phone calls with Clive, very nice guy and made sure to answer any questions I had whilst giving me top quality advice.
Again, a very pleasant experience with these guys, very professional. Keep up the good work!
A. B.
So far my experience with IT Career Switch has been very good. I am onto the final stage of the coding traineeship so I can't speak for what comes next but up until now I have been very happy with the process. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the initial video lessons were a bit hands-off and dull but that is only a small fraction of the course.
Andre always replies very quickly to emails and has greatly helped me through the course whenever I got stuck or needed assistance of any kind. The staff manning the phones have always been able to answer my questions. Ralph has been very helpful whenever I have spoken with him.
I'm looking forward to finishing the projects and getting a job!
I. S.
It was a great experience with ITCareerSwitch.
Joining their programme was one of the best decisions of my life.
I have been seeking for jobs for so long thinking I know enough to get me a job.
When I started the programme I realized how less I acutally knew.
The programme is very well structured and the people are actually doing efforts to get you a job after you complete the course.
Thank you ITCareerSwitch for everything you've done for me!
T. S.
i completed comptia a plus after a years study while working. they are very helpful and supportive from start to finish. ralph and leigh were great for me, encouraging me and pushing me on when i was failing the practice lab tests. all in all i am happy with my decision to use this company, even though i lost the job guarantee due to 5 internal exam fails and i look forward to the cyber security side of the learning.
S. S.
Some parts of the training felt useless and boring but they got me where they said they would. So, I'm very happy and excited to continue. A lot of support during the job application which was amazing. Thank you.
P. K.
I have completed the training about a month ago and in just a month I could secure a junior developer role. This course has given me lots of useful information about starting a career in IT. Although, I had a good background in programming, I found the Codecademy lessons extremely beneficial, which was supported by Andre Theron. He answered all my questions and guided me through the lessons.
The next step was to build personal projects and Paddy Evans had provided an excellent service in helping me out with any issues. He encouraged me to improve my websites to the best degree possible. He has good eyes for every detail of web development in my opinion. So I ended up having two great projects and in the interview the senior developer was really happy to see the technologies involved. Paddy suggested programming languages to work with (mainly PHP and JS), but you are allowed to choose your own language that you are most comfortable with as long as you can justify your selection. That was a pleasure for me to do these projects, it was so much fun. :)
The next stage was the portfolio, which I already have had so I did not have to do this, only just added the two projects that I built and that is it. After all this, I was appointed to Phil Carstens. He helped me with my CV and LinkedIn profile. Also, he was referring my CV within his internal connections and was non-stop sending me links of job advertisements, which I kept applying for. I had no results in the first 4 weeks, no telephone calls, no interview, only just "sorry, we need a more experienced developer" emails. But he encouraged me not to give up and one day, a recruiter called me about a good opportunity. It took only one week including telephone call, selection, video interview and technical assessment. It is great. :)
Also, I need to mention the work of Ralph Margo who was keeping in touch with everyone and everything. He was the one who scheduled my Microsoft exam as well and gave me guidance on how to prepare.
It was a fantastic course and I really recommend to those people who are thinking of changing their careers to IT. Web development is an area where you can constantly evolve and learn about great technologies and this is just so much fun! :) IT Career Switch will help you all the way through and you will definitely find a role in the end that you are going to love so much!
Thank you for your help IT Career Switch and good luck for finding new people for this industry!
R. S. P.
After 20 years working as a construction architect I was able to make the switch and change careers into software development. I very much enjoyed the training and mentorship from IT Career Switch to make this change a reality. I am very grateful!
B.
A very difficult, yet instructive course. There were times where I thought I wouldn't ever finish and land a job. But I'm happy to say that I pulled through in the end and pushed myself beyond what I thought I was capable of. ln the end, I got a job as an assistant IT analyst!
It's definitely not for the faint of heart; if you put in the effort, you'll appear on the other side better off. If you have the passion I say go for it!
Thank you IT Career Switch :)
j. i.
Was daunting going into learning IT but IT career switch couldn't have been more supportive. Couldn't be more happy going forward in completing my cyber security course.
N. G.
Passed the CompTIA A+ exams and just secured my first role as an IT Technician since I left teaching.
Pros: Excellent value for money, excellent support from your tutor, high quality training spec.
Cons: Like most IT videos, these training videos are quite dry, but they are informative and cover your objectives as long as you take notes of what they say too. The final internal exam tests your knowledge from all 7 certifications and is tough and this is where a lot of people lose faith in the program. Don't be lazy, learn everything thoroughly from the start. Ideally, download the ppt slides and annotate them (ideally, with an iPad, but pen and paper if you must)
Tips:
Read around the topics you've learnt to deepen your understanding. Watch different explainer videos too; the more angles you learn from the more you're likely to remember. While they provide you with virtual machines which are excellent, I'd recommend to also download tools like Packet Tracer (free) and the software simulation tools from pearsoncertification.com (Network+ and CCNA).
For all the Windows courses, I'd strongly advocate downloading VM (virtual machine) software. Oracle VirtualBox or VMware Workstation (or Fusion for MacOS) are the standard choices. Don't be afraid to go beyond the trial versions and spend on the full versions. Download Evaluation (i.e. free trial) versions of Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 Enterprise. Look for instructions online to setup an Active Directory home lab. This will give you practice beyond the PracticeLabs that ITCS give you access to (they are very helpful too, a big plus of this course). The PracticeLabs themselves are great and give you step-by-step instructions for common tasks that meet your learning objectives. Be aware though that if you set up your own VMs, you will need a a higher spec PC, at least 16GB RAM and a multiple core CPU (some may say this is extra - it is! - but gives you your own test environment that won't expire).
Brain dumps (actual past exam questions and answers): Downloading all those question dumps are useless, so don't waste your time - if you don't understand the underlying concepts you wont recall the correct answers!
These are my humble tips as someone who comes from a completely different industry (Education/Teaching). This course is designed to force you to learn to a high standard. It is hard, but that prepares you better for the future. There's so much to learn in IT and this gives you the foundation to learn more later and with competence.
As long as you put in the effort, you will pass.
Overall, highly recommended!
A. Z.
I have found ‘IT Career Switch’ to be a very professional and reliable company. Customer service is excellent. My tutor, Leigh; has been very helpful and has always responded in a timely fashion to any queries which I have had. The actual course modules are comprehensive and thorough. Even though the course is taking me longer than I originally anticipated, I am enjoying the course and feel that I am making good progress considering I do not have an IT background. On the whole, I would definitely recommend ‘IT Career Switch’ as a good way to start a career in IT.
K. W.
Its difficult and very time consuming learning everything, I expected it to be a breeze, and it was far from it. I put the effort in and finished my first 2 exams and instantly got several job offers within the first few days.
G. A.
I am currently at the stage where I am now revising to take the first of my exams at the end of this week so I feel I can give a good analysis of the learning process but not the job seeking process.
As for the learning process, the first thing that they do is assign you a tutor, I was assigned Leigh and I have to say he has been brilliant. Every time I have a question or need of resources he has responded to my email within half an hour (often within ten minutes). Then it is on you to go through a bulk of videos and mock exams. These give you a good overall knowledge which is then focused for each exam.
Every step of the learning process is well thought and and each step builds on the next, with checkups from your tutor and from others in the company. It really does feel like they want you to succeed.
Now all that's left for me is to complete these exams!
L.
Just passed the core 1 exam first time. The course gives you everything you need and the labs and practice exams are very helpful. There are a lot of courses that you need to complete to get to this point, so there’s a lot of work, but worth it. My tutor Leigh is always quick to respond and help, really helped me out when I needed it
S. J.
Great IT traineeship for anyone wanting to change career path, ending with a professional qualification! Tutor Leigh was always there to help and there is great communication throughout.
A. P.
I'm about halfway through my coding traineeship now. The onboarding staff were very nice and tutors reply very quickly. The videos I got in the beginning were out of date (exam now discontinued) and as others mentioned not hugely helpful. Codecademy is a great platform to learn on so that made me a bit more hopeful.
If you are not 100% sure what you will want to do, do not try those traineeships. I have asked whether I could switch to a different pathway because I am not enjoying coding as much (I already have CompTIA A+ Security+ and Network+ certs and two MTA's) and even offered to pay extra for the switch and other required certification, but was only told that I can't because it's too late in the course. It was disappointing to hear that as I've not used up any exam vouchers or wasn't assigned many platforms to use so I didn't think it would be a problem.
I will update my review as I progress through the course.
a. w.
i would highly recommend anyone who wants to get started in IT to sign up with IT career switch, had excellent support when i needed it and all the subjects are easy to follow but provide alot of detail.
A. M.
Started August 2020, finished around December (doing roughly 4 hours a day) and got job offers in January, course was incredibly thorough, excellent CV help and recruitment assistance. I would recommend this to anyone with a bit of cash and a desire to get a foothold in IT.
R. A.
The course study material wasnt great and I had to find other resources to study from to pass the official ComTIA A+ exam, but they were true to their word and I was able to find a role as an IT support engineer within 12 weeks of completing my certification. I look forward to the next part of my journey.
N. Y.
Signing up with IT Career Switch was one of the best career choices I have made. The support from the team is excellent, the course material comprehensive and well tailored to give a broad understanding of the fundamentals you need to get industry ready. Testament to that is I received a job offer after my first interview and I will be starting my new IT job in a few days. I would point out that you still need to commit and study hard, but with IT Career Switch covering your back, providing the necessary support, I doubt you could find a better way to get that job in IT. Massive thanks to Matthew, Bradley, and all of the ITCS team!
j. r.
Really good training program !!!. I am a person with few years gap in the IT field and migrated to UK with dependant Visa. It was really a hard period for me to get back into IT and was about to quit as many companies even don't consider me as I am on dependent Visa and lost continuity in IT field. I found then IT career switch and joined their Cyber security Traineeship program.
Advantages:
1. Enough course modules to get kick start in the IT field.
2. Always gets support from staff.
3. No previous IT experience needed to do the course.
4. Plenty of time to complete course.
Suggestion for IT career switch: (These are just suggestions and not a con)
1. Practice labs are just basic. Of course it is good to get a start but it could be a little bit deeper.
2. Suggest to add some more modules to the course in order to get a good grip on helpdesk/IT support field. Though technologies like intune, office 365, azure are included in the windows 10 module, its just a basic intro. Companies are asking more about these modules in interview and all.
Overall awesome experience and I am placed in a company as helpdesk support administrator. Thank you IT career switch!!!
M. L.
Really good courses, explained well with examples you can follow along. The practicals were all good and fairly easy to follow. Recruitment department helping you find placement afterwards is top noch and please to work with.
G. P.
They provided course materials including video lessons and live practice labs that helped me pass my CompTIA A+ official exams first time. Then they found me a job within 4 weeks!
I was a little apprehensive about these kind of companies but they have delivered on their promises and always reply quickly to any questions you have. Definitely recommend to get started in IT.
I. W.
Leigh and all at IT Career Switch are very helpful. I have had a lot of questions and they have always been answered quickly. Leigh has also provided my with extra materials to help with my revision. I'm in the middle of my revision now and will need all the help I can get to pass!
N. D.
Excellent company, great value money. Completed my first stage and was working in my first IT role within 4 weeks!
C. B.
I have been supported through every stage of the traineeship from the certification stage to the interviews and finding the job,
I was also given the chance to work more and study event though the deadlines were very close.
I would like to thank Ralph, Paddy and Jade for the amazing support and professionalism.
M. P.
I would highly recommend using IT Career Switch as the learning platforms are very easy to use and you have great support throughout your learning, especially from the recruitment team when trying to secure your first role in IT.
J. P.
I have mixed feelings with this so far. I'm two weeks into my course and a lot of it I had a basic understanding of it anyway, but even still the tutors on the videos are extremely boring to listen to if you have a short attention span like me then short half hour intervals is the best way to go. any longer than that then all the info goes in one ear and then out the other.
Also if you didn't have a clue about IT and are completely new to it, then the videos will be extremely difficult to follow, the tutors in the videos are explaining things under the assumption that you will have an understanding of the subject already. Extremely frustrating when I am by no means an IT expert.
Ironically I've been having issues where when I log off from the learning portal. It fails from time to time to save any progress I've made, including all the notes I have made during this session, I'm not sure if anyone else has had this so please don't take this little glitch under too much consideration as it could well be an issue my end.
On a positive they do provide plenty of resources but a lot of it is just what you see in the videos. As good as it is I do recommend doing some of your own research which is what I'm going to start doing.
It's a shame It's a good system but not worth the money you pay out for it, at least not in the early stages.
I'd recommend that this company makes new videos using new teachers who aren't so boring to listen to, and to accommodate those who have 0 IT experience .
L. Z.
I strongly recommend IT career switch for anyone who would like to switch gears and jump into something new. The team provided great support throughout the whole process.
Huge thanks to Clive (Recruitment) and Paddy (Projects) who have been amazingly supportive
A. B.
Very good course which prepared me very well for exams . The staff are very professional and helpful, I only wish the video portions of the training were more interactive as hours of videos in between quizzes can become monotonous at times .
K. O.
While the journey to professional fulfilment is a personal one, the guidance of the support-staff make it a more pleasant one.
Cheers
R. B.
I would really recommend anyone who is interested in pursuing IT career as beginner,
They are really very helpful, professional as well as understanding. I specially want to thanks Narishka and Ralph understand the situation and help me out. Thank you so much
S. x.
First and foremost, I would like to say, it has been one heck of a journey. IT career switch provide you with everything to pass your exams, and they do certainly provide.
you even get assigned a tutor and they will help you with everything.
ask them what you want, even if it sounds silly.
My tutor's name was Leigh, and honestly would not have reached this far without his help.
Its easy to get into, I was an Fire alarm engineer before this, so it says a lot on the capabilities of this training course
Thank you to everyone on the ITcareer switch team to making this future possible for me
W. J.
Whilst i may not have the final result yet, the service itself thus far is exceptional in trying to educate novice or intermediate learners of programming or other IT aspected fields. My personal tutor, Andre Theron, is a down to earth and supportive individual who has made the start pf my journey all the way through amazing and filling me with confidence every step pf the way. Could not recommend enough, these people are always but a phone call away and eager to help. Give it a try, whats to lose in this day and age.
G. S.
Always there when you need them and exactly what you expect from start to finish. Some of the courses they offer are same cost or actually cheaper than if you went with the official provider's training and exam fees. But these guys support you and actually help you find a job after completing the training. No faults, no regrets, can only recommend. Couldn't have imagined I'll be working in IT 7 months ago when I signed up. And I did it in that time while working full time at my previous job. You will not regret going with these guys.
M. C.
I went for basic coding training course, and considering to jump into full stack developer course as well.
I felt initially a bit intimidated and lost until I spoke to Leigh.
His help has made a big difference, eased the course, pick my curiosity, and now I'm feeling confident enough to undertake my new trip in the IT boat!
L. M.
I have found that the service that I have been provided under SwitchIT has been nothing short of phenomenonal. Everytime I had an inquiry or was in need of help it was not difficult to acquire. I have really enjoyed the material I have been handed to learn and complete and look forward to progressing into my career under them.
G. C.
Overall I had a great experience with Career Switch. They really went above and beyond to support me and enable me to get my A+ qualifications. I would highly recommend them for their expertise, and also for having a human side if like me you run into some trouble during the studies.
Great people
j. k.
The course material and Livelabs are invaluable and helped me pass my A+ certification. I got interviews a week after passing my certification and got the job. Many thanks to the whole team of IT Career Switch.
C. V.
The signing up process was nice and easy. Leigh has been great at tutoring! He has been a great help on some of the material that I was having some difficulty understanding. Looking forward to my career in IT.
F. d. S.
IT career Switch is a great choice for anyone that wants to switch to the IT field. I did the coding course with them and was able to find a position at the end.
P. S.
My personally assigned tutor Leigh was a guardian to me from start to finish. It's a long journey and important to have a competent mentor to help through the long study weeks. Recommend IT Career switch to anyone that's itching to get in to the IT industry
f. a.
Really good course with lots of information and content to help you excel in a tech career want to especially thank Toni for being a great help and providing the best support really recommend this course for anyone interested!
D. G.
Great experience, well put together course. On beginning step 4 received a job offer very quickly!
S. P.
Thank You, IT Career Switch, my experience with yourselves has been amazing 👏 , Ralph especially as he dealt with all my enquiries and solved them, what a top lad. They even helped me out during some tough family times and offered to provide me with an extension on my course. Above and beyond service from them, He definitely knows his stuff would recommend.

So long as you are okay with a fair amount of self-guided learning. Watching the course videos and taking in the information then you shouldn't have any issues. Kinda wish I had done it sooner. My recruitment agent Sam was brilliant. I'll miss our weekly calls. But most importantly I got my A+ and got a job.
J. H.
Currently on the Coding Traineeship. Step 1 was brilliant . However step 2, which is I am currently on, not a great fan of it really. Trying my best to work hard and learn as much as I can but some of it does not sink into my head . I don't think it suits the way I like to learn. My confidence is declining everyday now. I am starting to wonder maybe I should accept that this might not work out and maybe I should look at some alternatives if I do fail. Does not deserve a 1 or a 2 review because I'm sure this Traineeship suits some people brilliantly. But not for me . I don't think a online course suits me in general . I just wish I knew this before I paid for this .
T.
The courses were long and detailed but I enjoyed completing them. I was grateful for the editing of my CV which really help me get noticed, and I also found the list of jobs to apply to sent to me weekly very helpful. I received fairly quick feedback from any issues I had which was nice too.
T. P.
IT Career Switch provided me with an excellent service and their programme has allowed me to successfully move into a new career. The course was well designed for those with little or no experience in the IT field, and the inclusion of the CompTIA A+ exams and job placement support made it a good value package. It took a lot of dedication and time to get to this point, but it was well worth the journey.
L. M.
I’ve had a very good experience with IT career switch so far, they are willing to help you and i ve had great experience with their customer service.I havent finished my course yet but based on what I have already gone through, videos are perfectly structured and instructors go into details and you do not have to be afraid if you dont have any experience with IT because courses start from very basics and later they building upon knowledge you already have acquired.
A. L.
Leigh is a great tutor, he is very professional and helped me a lot with my studies! He always went the extra mile to help me wherever I needed assistance. The company is great to deal with! I highly recommend the company to anyone who is wanting to further their IT careers.
B. A.
Amazing service all around. The staff is friendly and helpful, they are always there whenever you have any questions or doubts. The courses they provide are right to the point and the practice questions are really helpful with the actual exam. After I have passed the exam they immediately started looking for a job for me which I managed to land after 2-3 weeks of looking. Thrilled to start the second batch of training and I am sure it will be just as good as the first one. 10/10 would recommend.
C. K.
The initial process was very easy to setup having spoke with Daniel and Matthew, who walked me through my options.
Individually everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. Material is delivered in a timely manner and well put together. Hard work is required to combat the CompTIA A+ exam.
At any stage you can reach any member of staff via phone or email. There is nothing they don't know. I passed my exam had a chat with Matthew who drafted my CV, and did a great job, within a week I had 3 interviews and secured an IT Technician's role. This was only possible with my dedication and support from IT Career Switch.
T. A.
IT Career Switch provides basic and requisite IT skills required to start a career in IT. The company is well organised and the staff are very responsive and supportive.
J. R.
An honest opinion.
Right from the get go I was surprised at the level of customer service. Exceptional.
I didn't think it would last and believed it was part of the welcome. However, it only got better and it's continued to this day. Michael and Ralph have been incredibly supportive and helpful constantly. Never more than a call away and always at hand to reassure you. Hats off to there professionalism and personalised touch. 10/10 to these gents.
As for the course, they have in depth videos and very thorough. Quizzes to check your understanding at the end of each module.
If you are new to IT this course will not be easy if you don't dedicate yourself to it, you'll find this will take a lot longer than what's advertised. The advertised time is for people with some previous experience in IT.
You have to put in the hours of study.
The course also entails a internal exam which covers several areas in IT that aren't necessarily needed for an entry-level position and it really goes in great detail.
You'll have 40 mins answer 42 questions over a variety of areas in IT. You have 5 attempts to pass otherwise you lose the job guarantee. It's more like a screening they obviously and understandably want to place the best in the job roles they'll provide. Please keep the internal exam in mind.
I've now passed my CompTIA + and hopefully I start working soon and starting my next chapter of this course in cyber security.
I really look forward to working with IT career switch and I know I'm in excellent hands. Thank you so much Micheal. Ralph, Leigh.

Amazing Support
Leigh and Amber were very helpful and supportive. They guided me through the course and interview prep which made the whole process as easy as possible. They were always just a call or email away which helps massively!
Thanks guys!
D. H.
Learned a lot and helped me get my first IT support role and relevant qualifications.
A. D.
I am currently pursuing my certification in Comptia A+ and i am in my studying phase watching the videos and expanding my knowledge in the IT world. Thanks to Leigh my Tutor, i have experienced major help from him, as he proactively replies to all my queries. Hoping to finish my studies soon and prepare myself for the exam and the real world experiences.
B.
A great service that has helped me start my career in the IT industry and passion towards cyber security
C. R.
Where to start. I was sceptical as well before joining but took the plunge purely because I was priced out with other companies which were charging anywhere between £2-5k for similar packages. I was desperate for a change from the retail sector which was sucking the life out of me so just went for it. Some of the courses I found pretty boring especially the Microsoft Windows courses, however the labs were brilliant and so was the support/encouragement from the staff. It took me longer than the 6-8 weeks they quote but then again I didn’t want to overload myself as there was a lot to learn. After I completed the 3 steps I had 2 companies interested in me within the first week of their recruitment process. I honestly couldn’t believe it, I was offered a job with one of those companies and now working in Desktop Support. Thank you to all the staff but especially Matt who took me through each step and done such a great job with the Recruitment side!
H. L.
Fantastic service from start to finish. I was supported from starting my course, through to being placed into my new job. A big thank you to Ralph and Amber who really helped me throughout the process, anytime i needed anything they were always there. So happy to have now started my new job in IT.
T. R.
I'm still on my course, coming to the end, and throughout the process Andre has been very helpful and quick to respond to my emails and set up the next stage for me, offering advice along the way. It feels nice to have someone there to talk to if I need any help, and would recommend Andre to anyone! Thanks for the great work Andre, and keep it up!
K. H.
IT career switch tutors have been of Great help to me they Respond to my questions very quick and help with my course where I need help without any problems , would definitely recommend
S. L.
I signed up for their Cyber Security traineeship last year, I honestly can’t say I’ve ever learned so much, so quickly in my life. If you’re someone who can commit to learning from home and apply yourself then I truly believe you’ll be hard pressed to find a course that can teach so much at the price of enrolment. Considering what I feel I’ve learnt, it’s been incredible value.
As there are industry certifications at the end of each course, you’ll be getting a certification that was created by industry to be used for industry. I couldn’t be more pleased.
S. K.
Excellent from start to finish. The courses are well structured and engaging, the team helped me out with any questions that I had throughout the courses. I received an offer within 2 weeks and have now started as an IT support engineer.
k. j.
Great platform, very apprehensive to commit to this! Very happy I have done so. I work a 60 hour week and study for 20 hours speratly, and have been told I will graduate into a apprenticeship in 6-8 months, the apprenticeship will last for 2 years.
Thanks again it switch
E. B.
I finished my course then i got my CompTIA A+ certificate with IT Career Switch. They helped me a lot about job replacement especially Amber! I replaced in a role now. Everytime I asked them questions they responded me very fast. They have minor things to correct but they are on good track! I wish you all best. Thank you for everything:)
F. Z.
Spoke with Narishka about some worries and queries I had about the course layout and exams, she was so helpful and went the extra mile the reason I’m giving 5stars is because of her! She put me at ease and explained everything so clearly and even sent an email with the details we discussed, 100 percent on customer service and helpfulness, thank you Narishka.
P. M. G.
Mr. Leigh Johnson has a very professional approach towards to my inquiries in IT field was very precise and detailed in his communication process. Also willing to help, he gave me the best advice about what do I have to learn, skills to develop, material to study etc.
G. H.
Narishka at IT Career Switch, I am so grateful for the excellent news I received today, you did the impossible and went out of your way to assist me and restored my faith in customer service. You are an absolute pleasure to deal with.
F. S.
Andre has been always attentive and supportive. He always answered all my questions promptly. I’ve dropped one star because the videos the first step are a bit tedious and imprecise, but it gets better. I’ve almost finished with the course and I feel confident of my skills thanks to it career switch.
A. A.
Great thanks to Narishka and the team who helped process my traineeship change from cyber security to the coding traineeship. What a lovely personality to deal with. I hope to get through this intense traineeship within 6 - 7 months if all goes well.
H. T.

Great service, I’d like to thank Janet Gilroy for her assistance throughout the process of me picking which course, I’ve just completed the first module of the cyber security course and from so far I’d highly recommend it, really haven’t seen anything to critique. The description of courses and content is exactly as described so definitely worth reading the details on the site, overall a great course for someone liek myself who’s just left college and looking for a career in IT/ networking
J. L.
I'm really glad for my desition paying this course, as many of us 2020 was a horrible year, I ran some problems and didn't finish my course in time, they took a look of my case an evaluated my condition and help me to finish my course. I'm really happy with Tanya, great person and wonderfull customer service. Thank you so much.
J. F.

M. A. A. R.
It was a really good experience from the beginning. They always answer back to your requests very quickly. All the promises that they make are true. There was a lot to study and I did enjoy the traineeship.
A. S.
8 month from absolute 0 to my first IT job . its doable ! but do not underestimate internal exam difficulties.
M. K.
Took me a little longer to finish then anticipated but so glad I did manage to complete it in the end. True to there word I was placed into a role within 3 weeks of job searching with the help of my Recruitment Specialist Bradley. Have already recommended it to a friend who is now studying with them.
G. B.
I wouldn't have gained access to this industry without this traineeship, however, the course takes a lot longer than they predict.
H. D.
Good value for ur💰💷check✔️. Service and communication is top too✔️. I had an account issue not to bore you with the details but the promptness & tone of urgency to rectify the problem is what's making me leave this review. Props to Tanya Beeby and everybody else who was involved

I started the course and a week down the line, something came along and I had to cancel the course. They gracefully accepted my claim and gave me a refund!
I was apprehensive about these online courses, however they were professional and this was a huge relief.
Thank you very much.
M. B.
Received training in a broad variety of languages and frameworks early in the course, and had a professiona tutor supervising my portfolio development towards the second half of the course. Good value.
A. E.
So far it's been good. Great communication and prompt replies, both via email and phone.
Mixed up my name with someone else's but that was quickly fixed. Videos are a little boring so far, perhaps because I was previously familiar CSS and HTML; might be good for absolute beginners though.
Still in early stages of the course, will update review towards the end.
P. N.
Delivered what's promised, videos covered all necessary material and some more, would recommend to anyone wanting to start a career in IT.
G. M.
